Now, each of these power plant wings ranges about 650 feet in terms of length. On the other hand, the rise of the plant is about 299 feet above the foundation of the power plant. In all these plant galleries, there are about 10 acres of space available.

2-How much power can the Hoover Dam power plant generate?

There are about 17 prime turbines located within the Hoover plant, of which 9 are located within the Arizona section while 8 are within the Nevada section. The main units within the power plant flaunt a combined power generation capacity that goes as high as 2,991,000 horsepower. The 2 units for the service station come with a 3,500 horsepower rating each.

Together, the plant flaunts a capacity closing in at 2,998,000 horsepower.

Fly or drive to Los Angeles . It's a 40 minute flight . 4/5 hour drive.

Cruise - does it start and stop in LA? In which case, after you fly home from LAX to UK.

You can book flights for example with Virgin where you fly into LAS and then home from LAX. I do it all the time.
