Jerry Jones Yacht: Everything You Need To Know

Ian Fortey

Back in 2019, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones purchased a 357 foot yacht from Dutch firm Oceanco. Jones made news with the yacht when he made the NFL draft picks for the Cowboys on board the vessel back in 2020.  Named the Bravo Eugenia in honor of his wife Eugenia Jones, the vessel and its owner take a much different approach to boating than most owners of massive luxury yachts insofar as Jones is more than happy to show off his vessel all around the world. Since its launch it’s been spotted in London, Seattle, Miami and more places.

What Does Jerry Jones’ Yacht Interior Look Like?

Give Jones credit for having a draft room on his yacht, something probably no one else in the world has thought of before. It was from here that Jones did the 2020 NFL draft and it’s essentially just a room with a wrap around leather sofa with a wall monitor behind it.

Some of the other features that have been seen or at least recorded on Jones’ yacht including the following:

  • To helipads for bringing in guests by helicopter
  • Seven cabins capable of accommodating 14 guests for overnight stays
  • Four decks worth of space
  • 30 crew members and quarters to house them
  • A complete gym for guest workouts
  • A swimming pool/plunge pool
  • A sauna and a steam room
  • A massage room
  • A rain shower
  • A beach club
  • A Teppenyaki bar
  • A large tender garage for various water toys like jet skis, tubes and the like
  • Features and accents are made from both maple and walnut wood with ebony and pearl as well.
  • Steel hull with an aluminum superstructure

Much of the interior of the yacht was designed alongside Jones and Jones wife Gene to allow them to use their own styling touches to make it unique. Word is that there are a lot of Swarovski crystal accents through the vessel among other fine art pieces and luxury touches to make it what the couple wanted. Jones’ wife has stated that the family enjoys cruise vacations and they had a history of chartering other boats for long trips so the Bravo Eugenia was designed to be the ultimate family vacation vessel for the Jones clan.

That said, it seems clear that Jones also enjoys entertaining on the vessel as well, and obviously he is hapy to do his work with the Dallas Cowboys on board when the opportunity presents itself as well.

The Features of Jerry Jones’ Yacht

jerry jones yacht inside tour

Part of the design of the yacht includes what’s known as Oceanco’s LIFE design. Jones wanted to have an environmentally friendly and green yacht, so the company obliged. LIFE stands for Lengthened waterline, Innovative layout, Fuel-efficient hull design, and Eco-conscious technology. The waterline ensures a fast displacement and reduces the fuel demands on the two, 2,920 hp total engines. Unlike similar designs, the engine room is single tier instead of two.

There is a system to recover heat and energy as well as an integrated battery system that are able to reduce overall fuel usage by around 30%. It also has a whisper mode for when it is coming in and out of port to be less intrusive to those around it. Even under normal power out at sea the noise and vibrations are reduced significantly by the unique build.

How Much Did Jerry Jones Yacht, the Bravo Eugenia, Cost?

jerry jones yacht inside tour

According to media reports, the yacht set Jones back a cool $250 million. There are some reports that say it may have cost slightly less, around $225 million, but when you’re worth $10 billion like Jones the distinction may not mean a lot. The confirmed price tag is not something that’s been made available but most reports lean towards the higher amount. The annual running costs are estimated to be somewhere around $15 to $20 million. Since this is a motor yacht and not a sailing yacht, the bulk of those costs are going to be fuel related.

How Fast is Jerry Jones’ Yacht?

jerry jones yacht inside tour

Although it’s not 100% definitive, it’s believed that the Bravo Eugenia has a top speed of around 18 knots. Cruising speed is about 14 knots, however. Definitely not a speed demon of a boat. With the MTU engines that power it, this gives the vessel a range around 4,500 nautical miles.

The Bottom Line

jerry jones yacht inside tour

Jerry Jones’s yacht is known as the Bravo Eugenia. The team owner spent an estimated $225 million to $250 million and there’s a yearly upkeep cost of about $15 million to $20 million. The vessel uses a unique green design that makes it more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly. Its top speed is around 18 knots which it achieves thanks to a pair of MTU engines that provide 2,920 total horsepower. The yacht features a number of luxurious amenities, some of which are fairly unique, and can handle 14 guests at a time plus a crew of 30.

Jerry Jones’ Yacht: A Look at the Cowboys Owner’s Massive Boat

T here might not be a more influential person in all of American sports than Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Mr. Jones has been in the middle of, or at the forefront, of a lot of what we see in today’s NFL .

Ever since buying the Cowboys in 1989, Jones has been an important part of the NFL and continues to grow not only his team’s brand but the league brand as well. With that comes the fruits of that labor, and Jones has been known to be unafraid to enjoy himself when the time calls for it.

Such is the case with his massive yacht that he just recently purchased. Let’s take a look at the impressive vessel.

Jerry Jones’ Yacht

It feels almost like a right of passage for an NFL owner to purchase a yacht, doesn’t it? Billionaire decision-makers finding their way to sail the open seas is as old as time, and starting in 2019 when he purchased the massive ship, you can add Jones to that list.

Jones purchased the 357-foot yacht from the Dutch firm Oceanco. Jones made news and may have announced to the world his new purchase when he made the team’s NFL Draft picks on board the vessel back in 2020.

What’s a boat without a good name? Jones made sure that his vessel’s name would carry importance when he named it “Bravo Eugenia: in honor of his wife Eugenia Jones.

What Does Jones’ Boat Look Like?

There’s no way around it — Jones’ boat is an impressive piece of machinery. Some of the amenities of the yacht include two Helipads, seven cabins capable of accommodating 14 guests, four decks worth of space, a 30-member crew, a gym, a swimming pool/plunge pool, and a sauna and steam room, just to list a few.

Jones’ Yacht Interior

As impressive as Jones’ yacht looks from the outside looking in, it’s that much more astonishing once you step inside.

How Much Did the Yacht Cost?

According to reports, the cost out of pocket for Jones to purchase his new mega yacht was $250 million. With the annual estimated running costs being valued at around $15-20 million a year, it’s safe to say that Jones will surely try and get the most out of his investment.

End of the day, money is relative, and for Mr. Jones, this may not be as pocket-stretching as it is for others.

Either way, no matter your situation, anyone is able to take a seat and realize just how beautiful the structure actually is.

Jerry Jones' yacht Bravo Eugenia on the water

109m superyacht Bravo Eugenia arrives in London

The 109-metre Oceanco superyacht Bravo Eugenia has arrived in London and berthed at Butler's Wharf Pier in Tower Bridge. According to BOATPro , the yacht began her journey to the UK capital when she departed from Lisbon approximately two weeks ago, which included a stopover in Rotterdam, the Netherlands last week.

Bravo Eugenia is famously owned by American businessman Jerry Jones, who also owns the American football team, Dallas Cowboys. Delivered in 2018, the motor yacht is christened after his wife, Eugenia Jones.

At 109 metres, Bravo Eugenia sits in the same size category as Lady Jorgia , Kaos and the newly delivered Renaissance (though the yacht doesn't quite qualify for the top 25 largest yachts in the world ).

The superyacht first hit the water in November 2018 sporting a slender, low-profile designed by Nuvolari Lenard . Jerry Jones has the inside of his yacht firmly shielded from the public eye, with interior photos hard to come by. But with a 16-metre beam to play with and British studio Reymond Langton Design at the helm, Bravo Eugenia 's interiors are surely impressive. Naval architecture is owed to   Lateral Naval Architects .

Oceanco described Bravo Eugenia as "a prime example of [our] new wave of forward-thinking yachts”, being highly efficient in spite of her impressive length. Powered by a hybrid propulsion system, she can run on a "quiet electric mode" that allows her to consume 30 per cent less fuel than other yachts in her size class.

Bravo Eugenia is one of the largest yachts to visit London in recent times – her last sighting on the Thames was in January 2022.

Jerry jones buys $250 million superyacht that’s as long as a football field.

Jerry Jones, the high-flying billionaire owner of the Dallas Cowboys, lassoed one heck of a Christmas gift: a $250 million, helipad-equipped superyacht bearing the name of his wife.

Websites that cover the yachting industry report that Jones took delivery of a nearly 360-foot, Dutch-built yacht on December 20 somewhere in Scandinavia. It just so happens that the field at AT&T Stadium measures 360 feet in length. In other words, Jones’ new seagoing toy is, fittingly, as long as a football field.

Famed Italian yacht design firm Nuvolari Lenard drew up plans for Jones’ new vessel, with the United Kingdom’s Lateral Naval Architects assuming the naval architecture tasks and U.K. yacht specialist Reymond Langton Design handling interior design.

The superyacht is said to be the first yacht constructed in accordance with LIFE (Lengthened, Innovative, Fuel-efficient, Eco-friendly) standards. Dutch shipyard Oceanco built the hybrid-powered vessel.

Superyachts.com describes the design of the yacht as “dynamic, futuristic, and minimalist.” Nuvolari Lenard says the yacht’s exterior features “a stunningly sleek profile without sacrificing any interior space.”

Pascale Raymond, a partner at Reymond Langton Design, says in a November release from Oceanco that the firm “worked with artisans and craftsmen to create bespoke artworks, fabrics, and signature furniture pieces that all combine to create a warm, inviting environment on board for the [owner’s] family and guests.”

“The interior is a sophisticated, elegant, contemporary design that features light maple wood and white pearl lacquer with contrasting accents of walnut and ebony,” according to a December release from Oceanco.

Other highlights of the luxury ship include:

  • A helicopter landing platform.
  • A storage area for “water toys.”
  • A spa with a sauna, steam room, massage room, “plunge” pool and “rain” shower.
  • A lower-deck gym.
  • A “beach club” described as “generous and luxurious.”

The yacht — named Bravo Eugenia after Jones’ wife, Eugenia (better known as "Gene") — reportedly can sail at a top speed of 17.5 knots, equivalent to about 20 mph. By the way, that’s also around the top speed of Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Bravo Eugenia ’s cabins reportedly can accommodate an estimated 14 passengers and an estimated 20 crew members.

This vessel apparently replaces a Jones-owned yacht we told you about back in 2013 . At the time, the 290-foot yacht, named Nirvana , was up for sale with a price tag of about $300 million.

As of January 2019, Forbes pegged Jones’ net worth at $6.8 billion. The Cowboys, valued at $5 billion, account for the largest chunk of his fortune.

Meet "Bravo Eugenia."

Upon arrival, tuxedo and gown-wearing guests were directed up the Perot's glass escalator, past its famous T. Rex skeleton, and onto Level 4 to begin the night. A Ranch Water and taco bar awaited, along with a 360-degree photo booth in the Expanding Universe Hall that used shooting stars and constellations as its out-of-this-world backdrop.

Down on Level 3 was a barbecue station and mac 'n' cheese bar, complemented by glasses of spiked strawberry lemonade.

An avalanche of sweets could be found on Level 2, along with espresso martinis and Old Fashioned cocktails. These fueled the curious crowd as they explored the Perot's hands-on human body exhibits, and likely helped several guests who removed jackets and heels to test their strength and see how long they could hang by their fingertips.

On the main level, The Manhattan Band played high-energy favorites while guests showed off their moves on the dance floor. A silent auction featuring jewelry, beauty treatments, restaurant gift cards, and more drew philanthropic patrons, while the raffle items — including a signed Luka Doncic basketball and luxury dove hunt in Argentina — surely helped GYL get closer to its $250,000 fundraising target.

All net proceeds raised from Masquerade will support the essential services offered at Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support, which serves more than 3,700 women a year.

Since opening its doors in 1985, Genesis has provided emergency shelter, long-term housing, an award-winning onsite K-8 school, daycare, access to legal representation, and cutting-edge therapeutics to those experiencing domestic violence.

Where Is Jerry Jones’ Yacht? Vessel Has Swarovski-Studded Furniture

Jerry Jones’ yacht has captured attention worldwide. Read more about the Dallas Cowboys owner’s $250-million yacht and where he houses it.

Dan Clarendon - Author

Feb. 17 2023, Updated 12:58 p.m. ET

How much does it cost to run the Bravo Eugenia annually?

What exciting features does jerry jones' yacht have, is jones' yacht equipped with a helicopter pad, where does jerry jones house 'bravo eugenia'.

Forget the athletes. The real star of the 2020 NFL Draft was Jerry Jones’ yacht , the $250-million Bravo Eugenia . The Dallas Cowboys owner left football fans in awe after they learned he had monitored the draft from a room aboard his 357-foot-long yacht .

At the time, ESPN reporter Don Van Natta Jr. called it a "super-flex," though it's still brought up when discussing billionaires' lifestyles and the lavish purchases they make.

Jones' yacht, constructed by Dutch superyacht builder Oceanco, has since made a splash in media after it dropped anchor outside Elliott Bay Marina in Seattle, Wash. The yacht — named after Jerry’s wife, Gene — has also been spotted docked in Miami and cruising up the Thames River in London, England.

Keep reading for details on the features Jones' boat is equipped with and where he houses it.

On its website , Oceanco says that the Bravo Eugenia is its first LIFE Design yacht. LIFE Design is an approach that “synergizes the elegance and performance of Oceanco’s vessels with a carefully considered approach to their environmental impact,” according to SuperyachtNews .

The Bravo Eugenia has “best-in-class hydrodynamic efficiency, advanced hybrid propulsion, and 100 [square meters] of extra guest space at the waterline level,” according to Oceanco.

The vessel’s other sustainability features includes integrated battery systems, waste heat recovery, and a 30 percent increase in fuel efficiency. For these advancements, the boat received the Yacht Club de Monaco’s first Belle Class Explorer Award for Technology and Innovation.

SuperYachtFan estimates that it costs between $15 million and $20 million to run annually.

With exterior styling by Nuvolari Lenard, the vessel’s proportions evoke a sport yacht more than a superyacht. “This new style will certainly create a new design stream,” said Carlo Nuvolari, a partner at Nuvolari Lenard, according to Forbes .

Reymond Langston handled the yacht's interior design. “We worked very closely with the owner to find the perfect artisans and craftsmen in creating bespoke artworks, fabrics, and signature furniture pieces that reflect the owner’s style and essence and combine to create a warm, inviting environment for all on board,” explained Pascale Reymond, a partner at Reymond Langton Design.

The boat is 357 feet long, with a 53-foot beam. It offers a range of amenities, including two helicopter pads, a tender garage for watercraft, a gym, a beach club, and a spa that features a plunge pool, a rain shower, a sauna, a steam room, and a massage room.

It's also reportedly equipped with Swarovski crystal-studded furniture.

The 79-year-old also owns an ACH145 helicopter, according to Robb Report . Jones told the magazine that he originally got the 10-passenger helicopter for transportation, but it has been a boon to the Cowboys brand, too.

“It lends an aura to the Cowboys, whether we’re circling the stadium and landing in the parking lot on game day or carrying business associates and sponsors,” he explained. “It gets [fans’] attention and keeps them thinking about us. I’m being facetious, but I’m also half-serious here. I’d like to take it and land it on every road in Texas. Or maybe have five, landing in every community across the U.S. It’s a real attention magnet.”

When Jones isn't out enjoying life on the water aboard his superyacht Bravo Eugenia , it's likely docked at Elliott Bay Marina in Seattle. The Cowboys owner might also rely on other docks to house his yacht depending on where he is.

Country singer Chris Janson might’ve been onto something when he sang the lyrics, “I know everybody says money can’t buy happiness, but it could buy me a boat.” It might also be the mantra of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Front Office Sports recently captured a brief video of Jones’ $225 million superyacht. The sheer size of the yacht is almost unbelievable, coming in at 358 feet. It’s an absolute monstrosity on the water.

You can catch a glimpse of this massive yacht in the video below:

The craft can host up to 14 guests in seven cabins and 30 crew members in 15 cabins. It was built in 2019 for the Cowboys owner.

Should we have expected anything less from the owner of the team that plays inside AT&T Stadium?

Jerry Jones Stands Behind Kicker Brett Maher After Struggles

While Cowboys kicker Brett Maher had a frustrating performance in the NFC Wild Card game against the Buccaneers on Monday, Jerry Jones has no intention of throwing him off his incredibly large boat. The owner stood behind the kicker following Monday’s performance.

Jones was asked if Dallas would look at adding a new kicker before the Divisional Round game against the 49ers. That’s not in the plan.

“No. No. We won’t. He’s done enough good ones,” Jones said of Maher .

Maher missed his first four extra point attempts in Monday’s 31-14 win over Tampa Bay. He eventually connected on the fifth, relieving some of the pressure.

Still, the frustration boiled over in the ManningCast and on the sidelines. During the broadcast, Peyton Manning sounded off on Maher , asking if a kicker “can be cut at halftime.”

On the sidelines, quarterback Dak Prescott exploded , yelling, “Go for f—ing two!” after the third miss.

Hopefully, Maher has a little more success on the field this week in San Francisco. Otherwise, there could be a lot more complaints about the kicker.

Oceanco Project Bravo superyacht

It remains to be seen whether the Dallas Cowboys will win the Super Bowl this year, but owner Jerry Jones has already scored big. The billionaire businessman has laid down a whopping $250 million on Oceanco’s Project Bravo superyacht . The 357-foot (119 yards) vessel is longer than a football field. It has not one, but two helipads, a garage to store smaller boats, along with Jet Skis, a gym, and a full spa with a massage room and sauna.

Jones purchased Project Bravo in December, according to CBS Dallas . And aside from the over-the-top amenities, his new toy is also environmentally friendly—as far as yachts can be such a thing. The boat came to market in November of last year and is the first yacht by Oceanco to have what’s referred to as a “LIFE” (Lengthened, Innovative, Fuel-Efficient, and Eco-Friendly) design.

“The LIFE design’s use of advanced hybrid propulsion, which incorporates significant battery capability, is combined with a single-tier engine room that allows novel use of space for outstanding luxury accommodation,” James Roy, managing director of Lateral Naval Architects, told Robb Report last year.

Pascale Reymond of the UK-based Reymond Langton Design, which was tasked with designing Project Bravo’s interior, said her team worked with artists and craftsmen on the yacht’s fabrics, furniture, and bespoke art. There’s no word on what the bespoke art might include, but Jones is a known art collector with tastes that run from modern masters like Picasso and Ellsworth Kelly to current art stars like Jenny Holzer, Eva Rothschild, and Anish Kapoor. Jones and his wife, Gene, even have a contemporary art collection housed in the Dallas Cowboys AT&T stadium . (Everything really is bigger in Texas.)

Before he was the NFL’s most recognizable owner, Jones built his fortune as an oil wildcatter and on investments in oil drilling, retail, and residential real-estate projects in Dallas. The Texas tycoon is worth $6.8 billion as of today, according to  Forbes .  The Cowboys, valued at $5 billion, is currently his most valuable asset. He bought the team for $150 million in 1989. It has won three Super Bowls since then.

It Appears Jerry Jones Is Positioning His $225 Million Megayacht For The NFC Championship Game

It's good to be Jerry Jones this week.

The loaded old horndog saw his Dallas Cowboys get a playoff win -- its first since the 2018 playoffs -- and now the 80-year-old billionaire is a win over Brock Purdy away from playing in the NFC title game for the first time since the 1995 season. Oh, and his massive 358-foot, $225 million yacht Bravo Eugenia is being spotted in Miami looking absolutely stunning and ready to host celebrations.

Super Bowl celebrations, perhaps?

According to Front Office Sports, the Eugenia was recently spotted in St. Maarten going through a maintenance routine, but now this beast is sitting in the Miami waters just waiting for action, which it probably did after Monday night's victory over Tampa Bay.

This boat, as you can see is insane. It features seven guest cabins, 15 cabins for the crew and is ranked as the 41st largest yacht in the world. The Eugenia is so large that it takes 30 staff members to keep it running like a well-oiled billionaire needs it to run. With a range of 4,500 nautical miles, Jerry can make runs to pretty much anywhere in the world.

But TikTok wants to know about one key feature.

"Where's the plank for the kicker?" one TikTok observer noted after Jerry's placekicker Brett Maher missed four extra points in Monday's 31-14 win over Tampa.

"Maybe he should take some of his money and hire a coach to teach his place kicker how to successfully negotiate and make a PAT," another hater joked.

From the look of things, Jerry's yacht is headed up to West Palm Beach and just past Donald Trump's pad in Mar-a-Lago. You're darn right I'm thinking what you're thinking: Jerry has his eyes set on his yacht docking in either Philly for the NFC title game.

Now we wait and see how far north the Cowboys owner runs it before Sunday's game. Jacksonville seems like the best stopping point this week.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones appeared to spend the 2020 NFL draft in a comfortable spot: his $250 million super-yacht.

ESPN's Don Van Natta tweeted that the feed from Jones' location was the "Bravo Eugenia," the 357-foot "super-yacht" he bought in 2019.

Jerry Jones' 357-foot-long superyacht was spotted in London recently

The fact that lots of extremely wealthy people who own NFL teams also own superyachts is hardly a news flash. For instance, Home Depot billionaire and Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank took delivery of his new 295-foot-long superyacht  DreAMBoat  this year.

Atlanta Falcon's owner Arthur Blank's 295-foot-long superyacht DreAMBoat was launched earlier this ... [+] year.

Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder ’s new 305-foot-long  Lady S  has something that no other super yacht in the world has—a 12 seat, two-deck tall IMAX theater that only added an extra $3 million to the final price tag.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan ’s 312-foot-long  Kismet  was designed to impress dockside onlookers while shielding VIP guests (like Beyoncé , Jay Z and others) from too much attention while they are on board. And oh yeah, it charters for over 1 million a week.

Best Travel Insurance Companies

Best covid-19 travel insurance plans.

Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan's 312-foot-long superaycht Kismet rents for up to $1.2 ... [+] million per week.

But when it comes to superyachts and NFL owners who attract attention, it’s pretty hard to top Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his 357-foot-long, superyacht  Bravo Eugenia  that’s rumored to be worth well over $250 million.

Jerry Jones' 357-foot-long superyacht draws attention wherever it docks.

So maybe it’s only fitting that Jerry Jones owns a yacht that’s longer than a  football field  and has  two  helipads—one on the foredeck and one the aft deck. It also has large garage and dedicated equipment stowage, providing plenty of space for a large selection power boats and various water toys. It has a large spa that includes a sauna, steam room, massage room, plunge pool and rain shower. And of course, it has a state-of the-art gym and a luxurious beach club.

It was built in Holland and features naval architecture by Lateral and interior design by Reymond Langdon in the UK and exterior design by Nuvolari Lenard in Italy.

But what I really want to know is: Why has Jerry Jones’ 357-foot-long, superyacht Bravo Eugenia being seen cruising on the Thames and docking in Central London as the NFL playoffs approach?

I bet Dan Lenard of Nuvolari Lenard (who caught Bravo Eugenia cruising up the Thames recently on his instagram feed above) knows.

Stay tuned.

Jerry Jones shifts Cowboys' team-building approach from 'all in' to 'get it done with less'

Jones believes dallas will remain just as much of a contender despite roster attrition this offseason.

jerry-jones.jpg

The messaging of Dallas Cowboys front office this offseason has officially turned 180 degrees.

Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones emphatically stated Dallas would be "all in"  on upgrading its roster following an embarrassing postseason meltdown, a 48-32 NFC Super Wild Card Weekend defeat at AT&T Stadium against the NFC's seventh seed and youngest team in the NFL , the Green Bay Packers .

However, the opposite has since occurred. Linebacker Eric Kendricks is the Cowboys' only external free agent signing thus far, and Dallas' $9.875 in free agency this offseason is the lowest in the entire NFL by nearly $13 million behind the salary cap-strapped New Orleans Saints ($22.297 million), per OverTheCap.com . Had the Cowboys proactively extended 2023 NFL MVP runner-up quarterback Dak Prescott -- whose $59.5 million cap hit in 2024 (the last year of his current contract) is set to be the second-highest in the league -- 2023 receptions leader wide receiver CeeDee Lamb -- whose $17.991 fully guaranteed fifth-year option is the last season of his rookie deal -- Dallas could have spread out their current and future cap hits across future years to have more room to beef up the roster now.

After being the only team since the 1970 AFL/NFL merger to win 12 or more games in three consecutive seasons and not reach the conference championship round, Jones is content to "get it done with less" after losing six starters and depth at multiple positions.

"I have been more all in before," Jones said Sunday at the NFL's Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida,  per The Fort Worth Star-Telegram . "By any definition and I have more all in to make a run back to the line of scrimmage then I've been to run for 50 yards. It took more all in to just get back to the line of scrimmage than it did to run for 50 yards. Sometimes that is a bigger challenge. That is really the gist of what we're about this year. We've got to get it done. "I think that we have been in a situation where we can get it done with less. More doesn't necessarily beat Green Bay. There are other things. Maybe having it better strategically in different spots, but more than necessarily beat them, either. So we're gonna be asked to do some things different because we got some different players."

That logic may not make sense to some as their Pro Bowl-filled rosters complemented by solid depth have marched to double-digit win seasons in the NFC East under head coach Mike McCarthy since 2021, but Jones is of the school of thought that the groceries he has at home are enough in 2024 and that the Cowboys don't have to add much more to the roster despite the offseason being a net negative for the team.

"I think we're going to be as close going in as we've been with the last three teams, with Dak,'' Jones said on Sunday,  per The Dallas Morning News . "With Dak. How can you say that, you ask? Well, do you still have [CeeDee] Lamb out there? Do you still have that tight end threat [with Jake Ferguson]? Do you still have some really good players on defense? Now, can you manage to stop the run better than you did the last couple of years? It's down to those kind of things.''

Prescott led the NFL in touchdown passes with 36 in 2023, and his 105.9 passer rating ranked as the best of his eight-year career, a performance that leads Jones to believe he has the quarterback that can finally take Dallas to the promise land nearly 30 years since his Cowboys last lifted the Vince Lombardi trophy.

"I think there are a handful or more of quarterbacks playing who haven't won a Super Bowl that will win a Super Bowl ,'' Jones said. "I think Dak is one of them. I'm firm there. He's one of the ones who can.''

However, Prescott will have to lift his performance to even higher heights in 2024 with the Cowboys' having the NFL's lowest cash spending to salary cap ratio (0.7555) in the entire league per OverTheCap.com . The roster reinforcements he and the rest of the team will receive in 2024 will be through young college players from the draft. Jones' opinion on the salary cap and player spending has swing the opposite direction since extending former Pro Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliott with two years remaining on his rookie contract.

"My point is that clarity,'' Jones said. "I think, as we move through, the clarity of the relationship to the salary cap to where and how you want to coordinate your roster, to me, has gotten clearer and clearer and clearer over time. If you want the running back to be 70 percent of your offense, maybe you'd better pay him a lot more. But if you're not going to use him like that, you're right, you might can do it with less. ... Get used to it. We're gonna have to have some young ones step in. Young ones being some of your younger draft picks. You're going to have to have them and make no mistake about it. You're going to lose some people that in the perfect world you had all the money in the world [they would be re-signed]. Let me say this, sometimes you make a decision and you got the money. But you're anticipating looking ahead at something that's coming. And so that's what you're seeing."

Prescott (three-time Pro Bowler), Lamb (three-time Pro Bowler), Parsons (three-time Pro Bowler), right guard Zack Martin (nine-time Pro Bowler), left guard Tyler Smith (one-time Pro Bowler), cornerback Trevon Diggs (two-time Pro Bowler) and cornerback DaRon Bland (one-time Pro Bowler) remain, but the Cowboys front office no longer feels assembling the most star-studded roster through spending top dollar for those players is their best path forward following the loss to the Packers. Jones says that's evolving, but some may feel it's an overreaction.

"If you look back, with the Pro Bowlers we've had, did we get the absolute best execution and the best chance to win and advance in the playoffs by using those Pro Bowlers who just happened to represent 60% of your salaries?'' Jones asked. "Did we get the most out of them to win the games? That's a different way of saying they've got to do more if they're going to get that money. But they've got to be put in position to do more, too. I think that's evolving, in terms of this old man.''

However, Jones is ear-marking space for Prescott, Lamb and Parsons deals, which will each be near the top of their respective positional markets after eating just over $16 million in dead money on the 2024 salary cap, per OverTheCap.com . Elliott represents just over $6 million of that figure.

"What we doing here can hit the next five years because it can impact us that far," Jones said. "So you got some real, real decisions. We have huge amounts of money that hit our cap for dollars we've spent on players for either a period of time when they played or the player himself that won't be here in the future. We won't be getting an ounce out of them in 2024."

How can Cowboys fans feel like the team knows what they're doing after a puzzling 2024 offseason? Well, Jones asks that they look at the positive from the last three seasons.

"I would look at the last three seasons, and I would say from that they [the coaches and players] know what they are doing," Jones said. "They've had excellent talent and I have had enough to win 12 games. And I've had coaching that does correlate. They're short on moving forward. Rather than start all over, my judgment is to take what we've got. Be as be as strategic about what we're going to be doing in the next few years. Be strategic but not compromise an all in now."

There you have it. Jones is no longer operating under the guise of being "all in." Much of how he and the Cowboys franchise operates moving forward revolves around the structure and size of Prescott's next contract in Dallas, something the quarterback himself is "definitely confident"  will happen.

"Because you got Dak for sure," Jones said when asked about where the hope is for his ballclub going forward. "We think he's great quarterback and do as good as you can do...By the way we know that was in as his last year. That is what we negotiated years ago. And then really prudently is there going to be life after 2024? You bet there is. A lot of it. We got to think about all that. But where I you take issue, not emotionally, but where I take issue is 'all in'. Your thing that you hung my neck as 'all in'."

Now, it's time to wait and see if Jones' words when it comes to Prescott and his value as well as the merits of his consistent roster-building outlook translate to a new deal in Dallas.
