Generally from late May through September. An in-person interview is required before any job offer can be made. In the past we have been able to offer employment to some J-1 visa holders that arrive to the Edgartown Yacht Club with a valid US social security number and attend a personal interview with one of our hiring managers. In other words, we are unable to offer you a position over the phone or by e-mail. Because of the tremendous number of J-1 applications we receive, we cannot respond individually to each person.
Necessary Skills:
The applicant must enjoy working with and around people and must possess a strong Edgartown Yacht Clubwork ethic and bring enthusiasm to the work place. The EYC is a dedicated service oriented organization providing a home-away-from-home atmosphere for its membership. Training is provided for most positions listed. Some positions have a minimum age requirement of 18 years. Please be certain to read and fill out the Club's Employment Application completely (see link). In particular, provide specific DATE AVAILABLE and LAST WORKING DAY. Also, please be sure to provide telephone numbers of former employers and references. Feel free to also forward a resume (or C.V.) to the Club.

1. Edgartown Yacht Club Tennis center is looking for a membership desk person to work 1-7 5 days a week (4 week days and 1 weekend) with the possibility for more hours if interested. 5 day work schedule would begin 6/16 and end 9/2. Responsibilities would be: greeting membership, booking courts, organizing merchandise, running POS system ect. Competitive pay, daily lunch included and a fun atmosphere.
2. Edgartown Yacht Club Tennis center looking for an evening maintenance person for tennis duties 5pm-7:30pm 6 days/week with the possibility for more hours if interested. Schedule would begin 6/16 and end 9/2 Responsibilities would be: sweeping tennis courts, taking out trash, cleaning water jugs, weeding ect. Competitive pay atmosphere.
