This award-winning fully custom superyacht was delivered by Feadship in 2014. Naval architecture and exterior design were completed by Dubois Naval Architects and the elegant interior spaces by RWD. RWD designed an interior blending white marble, bleached oak, stainless steel and Macassar ebony, creating a warm and welcoming environment. 46m Feadship motor yacht Lady May sold

The 46.2-metre motor yacht Lady May has been sold in an in-house deal at Edmiston just two months after a change of central agency. Dirk Johnson represented the seller and Bruce Brakenhoff brought in the buyer.

Built of aluminium by Feadship in the Netherlands in 2014, Lady May was refitted in 2019, which included a full repaint. Her elegant exterior is by the late Ed Dubois , sporting a near-vertical bow and gently-sweeping sheer, while her contemporary, clean interior is by British studio RWD .

Accommodation is for a party of 10 in five cabins, with "expansive views" from the owner's main deck cabin, thanks in part to an area of glass in the bulwarks. Two twin and two double cabins are found on the lower deck. The broker described Lady May as "a class apart from any other yacht of her size", with a "radically different mast design" that enhances her sporty look.

The broker also pointed out the rotating saloon sole as one of Lady May's standout features, and that the vessel has "exceptionally large refrigeration capacity". A bar extends from the main saloon out onto the aft deck. White marble, stainless steel trim, Macassar ebony cabinets and bleached oak create a modern, "calming" interior.

Twin 1,900hp Caterpillar diesel engines give the 406GT yacht a cruising speed of 15 knots.

Lady May was asking $26,500,000.

Lady May is a head turning semi-displacement yacht that was constructed by Feadship in 2014. Her exterior was designed by the famed Dubois Naval Architects which was established by the British yachting pioneer Ed Dubois . Lady May won Dubois the award in both the exterior design and naval architecture categories, at the Showboats Design Awards in 2015. Her interior was designed by Redman Whiteley Dixon (RWD), and here too, Lady May was the winner in the “interior design” category, at the 2015 award ceremony. She also won the 2015 World Superyacht Awards 2015 in the category of “Semi-displacement or Planing Motor Two Deck Motor Yacht – 38m and above”. The designers state that the yacht was designed for “entertaining” and consequently, spaces are flexible and boundaries can be easily modified (by opening sliding glass doors and windows). The boundaries between the yacht interior and her exterior spaces, are highly blurred. The yacht includes two bar areas, on each of the decks, so entertainment is clearly a central aspect element in the vessel’s design. Lady May can accommodate up to 10 guests in five cabins; a master suite, two double cabins and two twin cabins.  Lady May is equipped with advanced underway stabilizers that ensure comfortable reduced-roll while underway.

Historical Summary:

Lady May of Glandore was built by Philip & Sons in Dartmouth, England, and was launched in 1929 under her original name, Lady May. Lady May of Glandore has only changed hands a few times in her history, and is still in excellent condition today nearly a century after her construction.

This elegant classic was built for comfort and capability, able to cruise in any weather condition. Built to Lloyd’s Class, the tri-deck yacht features a canoe stern and the hull is of steel construction with an aluminium superstructure. The strong structure offers excellent sea keeping.

Between 1990 and 1995, Lady May of Glandore underwent an extensive refit. Further works were conducted in 2013 and the yacht has been consistently maintained to a high standard.

The accommodation is for up to nine guests in four suites, comprising a full-beam master stateroom with a king size bed and ensuite Hammam, a VIP suite and two twin guest cabins. There is also accommodation for a crew of six in four cabins.

“It’s fair to say, at the beginning of the process, nobody wanted to make this show. No one knows anything about the Jacobean era,” Marshall tells The Hollywood Reporter of the 22 years that James spent as the ruler of both England and Scotland. “We know about Elizabeth I, Henry VIII, Queen Victoria, but people don’t dramatize this reign. It was quite a short reign, and I think because of his love for men, it’s been written out of history a little bit.”

James’ sexuality is a secret no more. Inspired by Benjamin Woolley’s nonfiction book The King’s Assassin and written by D.C. Moore ( Killing Eve , Not Safe for Work ), the seven-part limited series tells — with some artistic license — the unbelievable true story of Mary Villiers ( Julianne Moore ), an unremarkable aristocrat who grooms her beautiful second son, George (Nicholas Galitzine), to seduce King James I (Tony Curran) and break into his royal court.

While he is initially hesitant to utilize his charm and good looks to improve his family’s social standing, George gradually transforms into a formidable political figure — and Mary, despite accruing the wealth and influence she always wanted, is eventually forced to reckon with a monster of her own making. “George obviously starts off as a callow youth and then ends up becoming completely corrupted by power,” Marshall says.

Below, Moore and Marshall — who developed the show together as executive producers — explain the real-life history behind Mary & George , the creative team’s approach to choreographing the striking sex scenes, and how the mother-son duo’s outrageous scheming transformed them into some of the most titled and influential players the English court had ever seen.

Considering that there have not been many historical dramas set in the Jacobean era, what made you think the story of Mary and George Villiers was worthy of the miniseries treatment?

D.C. MOORE I read a lot of books to adapt, and you’re always looking for some sort of kernel that you can build a show around. And there were three things that really struck me.

The first was the undeniable evidence that King James’ love and lust for men was at the center of court — and it was an open secret. George, who became the Duke of Buckingham, was known colloquially as the Duke of Fuckingham. People at the time knew what was going on. If you read books about James, even into the ’90s and early 2000s, they’re very resistant to say [he liked men]. If guys in taverns in 1600s London can make jokes about it and know it’s happening, you could maybe lean into understanding this is what happened [in modern times].

In my first email to Liza, I talked about I, Claudius because that’s a show that I love and I’ve watched a lot of times. What I love about it is it’s all the normal relationships — mother and son, father, husband, daughter — but under the pressure of being at the center of the Roman Empire. This felt like a similar story. The third thing that appealed to me was that no one has told this story before. Mary Villiers is not famous. George Villiers isn’t very famous, even though he was the favorite of both James I and then was under [James’ son] Charles I.

LIZA MARSHALL [George] was one of the only commoners to ever do that — to move between reigns. So he was a hugely significant figure that everyone’s forgotten. 

MOORE As an example, in Shakespeare in Love , there’s the moment where Judi Dench’s Elizabeth turns up in the audience. It would never be James turning up in the audience because we just don’t keep him [in mind]. Even though he was around when Shakespeare was around, we don’t have him as an English cultural hero.

MARSHALL Most of Shakespeare’s players were written for James, like Macbeth . It was under James’ reign, not Elizabeth’s reign, so it’s a really interesting period in British history. But it’s not taught in schools [or] at universities. 

There’s one thing I only found out from the reviews in the U.K.: The first time the Archbishop of Canterbury saw George, [the Archbishop] had a wet dream that night. He wrote in his diary: “In my dream, he visited me in my bedroom, and he was most kind of a gentleman to me,” or something to that effect. And this is the Archbishop of Canterbury! [ Laughs. ] You find all these nuggets and you go, This is a story that is not well-behaved. It’s dynamic, exciting, rude, coarse, and it’s all the things that I want drama to be. There’s so much brilliant story. The difficult thing is [deciding] what not to tell. There was some great stuff that we couldn’t do.

Mary & George begins with two darkly comedic scenes that help establish not only the tone of this show but also the relationship between the titular characters. In 1592, Mary gives birth to George and does not immediately want to cut his umbilical cord, despite believing that he is of no human value. In 1612, Mary cuts a different kind of cord — the rope that George tries to use to hang himself. Why did you want to start the show that way? How do you feel those two scenes are indicative of the arc of their relationship?

It felt like we could tell a lot of the story about this young man who feels too much, but also a mother who knew, from the moment he was born, he didn’t have any intrinsic value. In this culture, second sons offer nothing. You’ve got no inheritance. You don’t carry your family name in the same way as the firstborn. So the stakes of who you are are true from the moment you come out of your mother. It felt like a dramatic way of representing those things. … But also, it suggests we’re not going to be in drawing rooms having boring conversations. 

MARSHALL Exactly. The very first draft of the very first episode always had the baby falling on the floor as the first moment in the show. I think that just sets our intentions; it’s a marker of what we wanted to do.

In the premiere, George is noticeably uncomfortable with his own body and does not know how to act upon his own desires — sexual or otherwise. But upon arrival in France, where Mary sends him to “learn the ways of refinement,” he is immediately confronted with an orgy at his temporary place of residence. By the end of his stay in France, he has sex with two men for the first time. How does his time abroad change him as a person?

MARSHALL He really did have a voracious sexual appetite for both men and women, and that is documented fact. He definitely sowed his seeds, as it were, right across Europe. [ Laughs. ]

MOORE Some of that stuff in how he was and held himself isn’t tracked in the history. But as a dramatist, you know where he’s going to end up, so you need to see change. So going from that awkward, on some level repressed young boy to a man who absolutely is not afraid of his indulgences — that’s the story.

The choreography of some of the sex scenes in this show is unlike anything I’ve ever watched on television before. How do you feel those scenes help to move the plot forward? Do you have any examples that come to mind?

MARSHALL For us, all the intimacy work is really important and really carefully scripted, and in no way do we feel it’s gratuitous. It always advances the plot. Sex was power. It’s such a key part of the story.

MOORE With the orgy at the beginning of [episode] three, there was a dramatic reason for that. [James’ lover] Somerset [played by Laurie Davidson] is fearing George, and he wants to put on a spectacular sexual show for his king to say, “You are mine, and I will give you the most pleasure.” He even gets George to be there to witness it, to sort of emasculate him. So it is, on some level, lascivious and indulgent, but there is a dramatic reason for it. That would be a really good example for me.

I think the sexual intimacy is vital for our story, and we couldn’t really look away from it. I also think it is important because people have not wanted James to have had sex; they don’t want him to have had sex with men, historically. For us to shy away from it would be continuing that denial and erasure of his story.

Mary and George are certainly both attracted to power, but they don’t seem to realize just how far they are willing to go in pursuit of that kind of influence until they repeatedly come face-to-face with James himself.

MOORE When Mary first sees the king [in the premiere], I think there’s an immediate understanding that — again, I’m going to use coarse language, I do apologize — she says, “He’s so cockstruck, it’s like a curse,” and she can see his obsession. It’s something she would’ve heard about, and she says in the episode she knows about it, but actually seeing it and then seeing that, “Oh, he and Somerset are in quite a tricky situation. They squabble like a man and a wife. Maybe there’s an opportunity here.” That is the window of opportunity that she sees, so that moment is really important.

When George first sees the king, he’s in a service position, and he’s seeing more of the court and the intimidation of it, so his journey is much harder. He has to go into that court and stand up and be seen.

MOORE From the historical record, that really seems like the real Mary. Whatever she could use and utilize, she did.

MARSHALL Because women had obviously no formal power at that time. They couldn’t hold property. They couldn’t have any money. It was just soft power, really. You had to manipulate people, and I think she was the master manipulator. 

MOORE I think it’s in episode fuve where [Mirren Mack’s] Katherine Manners and George stay in the same room overnight, and Mary really did that. [Mary] knew that if they stayed in a bed together overnight, [Catherine’s] father couldn’t resist the marriage, and her father was one of the richest men in England. So that’s what she did.

When you see [Amelia Gething’s] Frances Coke crying at her wedding at the end of [episode] four, that really happened. She really did cry. If you read the real, historical account of what Mary did to make that marriage happen, there were, like, 50 more things she did. I included more of them in the first few drafts, and everyone was like, “It’s too much.” It becomes farcical because so many people died, and so much blood was spilled, and so many tears were spilled in order to make that marriage happen.

At the end of the premiere, Mary tells a dejected George, who, after acting out in the royal court, was pardoned by James: “Kings do not pardon men for crimes done in their sight against their lovers’ say unless they yearn for the new.” How does this set up what is to come for the Villiers in the next six episodes?

MOORE We know that the seed has been planted. He’s spotted him, and he genuinely wouldn’t have pardoned him unless there’s something behind that. So as we go into the rest of the show, Mary just has to make sure that [George] can be seen again so that she can then take advantage, and then Somerset becomes the antagonist that they have to get past in order to survive.

MARSHALL The stakes in this world are life or death. If you get it wrong, you’d be put to death. So there’s high drama.

MOORE Shakespeare didn’t write any contemporary plays. He didn’t write anything about his contemporary time because he didn’t want to be cut open and hung. That would’ve happened. And this was a pretty brutal time.

MARSHALL It was a divine right of kings, so [James] had all the power. He really believed that he was selected by God to be the ruler, and everything funneled up to this one person who was in charge of absolutely everything. So that’s why everything was all rotating around the king. 

Given that Mary & George is one of the few historical dramas to present the Jacobean era to a wider audience, how do you hope this series will shed light on the legacy of these real-life individuals?

MARSHALL James was the man who commissioned the translation of the Bible that’s in all of the motel rooms in America, so it’s quite interesting to look at him in this light. He was involved in the founding of America, really. The beginnings of empire were under James’ reign, so he’s a hugely significant monarch who affected the course of modern history. I think it’s interesting to look at history afresh, to put women and queer characters back at the center of the narrative. 

MOORE But we’re not putting them at the heart of it; they were at the heart of it. The king wouldn’t have called himself queer, and he wouldn’t have that sense of his own sexuality. But he is a queer king, and Mary really was at the center of the court pulling lots of levers, potentially implicated in his murder. So, we are telling a story that’s true and really happened. So, on some level, we’re centering them, but we’re also just not erasing them as they have been erased before.

Christian Combs  has just been accused of allegedly sexually assaulting a yacht employee chartered by his father, Sean " Diddy " Combs.

According to court documents obtained by ET, yacht steward Grace O'Marcaigh claims Diddy, also a named defendant in the lawsuit, booked a yacht in December 2022 and that there was a significant amount of partying and drug use. She claims there was a suspected rotation of sex workers and a number of A-list celebrities, including Cuba Gooding Jr.

O'Marcaigh claims in her lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court that what was supposed to be "a wholesome family excursion" turned into a "hedonistic environment." For instance, she claims that there were a number of bottles laced with drugs, making it difficult to distinguish which bottles were or weren't laced. She also claims that the suspected sex workers were sprawled out unconscious on the yacht as Cassie's 2018 hit, "Me & You," blared in the background.

In court documents, O'Marcaigh claims she was pressured to take shots with Diddy's son, Christian. She claims Christian insisted on sitting next to her and became aggressive when he wanted her to continue taking shots. She claims Christian's aggressiveness turned physical, alleging that he violently grabbed her arm and forced her to take another shot, which she claimed tasted like it was spiked. O'Marcaigh then claims Christian, who recently celebrated his 26th birthday , touched her legs, breasts, anus and vagina, and he tried kissing her neck, face and hands.

In a statement to ET, Diddy and Christian's attorney, Aaron Dyer, told ET in part, "We will be filing a motion to dismiss this outrageous claim."

O'Marcaigh, who says she was 25 at the time of the alleged assault, claims music producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones, who has also  sued Diddy for sexual assault , has an audio recording of the alleged incident. O'Marcaigh attached a transcript of the audio recording, which purportedly paints Christian as blocking her from leaving his room. O'Marcaigh claims she pushed him away from her, but Christian instead took off his clothes, grabbed her arms and tried to force her to perform oral sex on him.

"His penis was erect, and he grabbed her arms and was trying to force [O'Marcaigh] to perform oral sex on him," the court documents state.

In the transcript attached to the lawsuit, Christian purportedly says, "Yo, it's shot o'clock," to which O'Marcaigh responds with, "No, I'm not doing shots." She claims Christian said, "Everybody, we got to take a shot." When she relented and said she'll take a sip, O'Marcaigh claims Christian told her, "No, no, no. Take the whole thing." O'Marcaigh claims she told him, "I'm only doing it as long as you take it as well," but she claims Christian responded saying, "I ain't going to lie, I'm not taking nothing. Please, please, take the shot."

O'Marcaigh claims she then asked, "You are drugging me?"

The lawsuit also includes photos of O'Marcaigh's alleged injuries. O'Marcaigh's complaint went on to claim that the Combs family retaliated against her by firing her around May 10, 2023. O'Marcaigh claims she fell into a deep depression, developed an eating disorder and suffered from anxiety, panic attacks and was also suicidal due to the alleged assault.

This new lawsuit comes just weeks after Christian and his brother, Justin Combs, were handcuffed outside Diddy's Los Angeles home amid a raid executed by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), which also raided the embattled music mogul's home in Miami. In a statement to ET, HSI would only say that the raids were "part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners." It's been reported that the raids are tied to sex trafficking allegations and that the probe is helmed by the U.S. District Attorney's Office in the Southern District of New York.

At this point, it's unclear if the litany of sexual assault lawsuits filed against Diddy are tied to the raids. But a source previously  told  Rolling Stone   that four Jane Does and one John Doe had already sat for interviews with investigators for a probe related to an alleged sex trafficking and RICO case, and additional interviews have also been scheduled.  

As ET previously reported, Diddy's ex-girlfriend  Cassie sued Diddy , claiming he raped her over the course of their years-long relationship. She also claimed he would force her to engage in sex acts with male sex workers. But some 24 hours later, Cassie and Diddy struck a settlement  deal ending her lawsuit.

In a statement to ET, Diddy said at the time of the settlement, "We have decided to resolve this matter amicably." He added, "I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love."

"Just so we're clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing," Diddy's attorney, Ben Brafman, also said in a statement to ET at the time. "Mr. Combs' decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best."

But Diddy went on to face four more sexual assault lawsuits from three additional women and Jones, the music producer. Diddy broke his silence after the fourth lawsuit was filed in less than a month from the first three lawsuits. He took to Instagram and said, "Enough is enough."

He added, "For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth."

Diddy has not publicly spoken out about Jones' lawsuit.

Who is alexander mashkevitch.

Mashkevich was born in Frunze, Kyrgyz SSR, Soviet Union, in 1954. His father Anton, a doctor born in Lithuania, and his mother, Rakhel Yoffe, a lawyer born in Vitebsk, were evacuated to Kyrgyzstan in 1941. His family background is Lithuanian Jewish.

He is a graduate of Kyrgyz State University where he studied philology. Mashkevich started out an academic career but became a businessman during perestroika. Mashkevich, Patokh Chodiev, and Alijan Ibragimov form “the Trio,” a group of Kazakh businessmen who became billionaires. The Trio gained control of the recently privatized chromium, alumina, and gas operations in Kazakhstan (some of the largest ones in the world).

Mashkevich is one of the owners of Alferon Management. Based in London, Alferon Management has acquired mining operations in different places: Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Indonesia, Kosovo, Russia, and other countries.

In 2010 he was on the Forbes list of billionaires at #287. In 2017, he was on the list at #1098, with a worth of $1.9 billions. Now his worth is 3 billion dollars.

The incredibly designed LADY LARA yacht features an interior style from Reymond Langton Design .

She has accommodations for 18 guests and 19 crew members on board. The VIP suites have fold-down balconies that add to the grandeur.

The onboard atmosphere is bright and inviting with subtle finishes. The entertainment areas are open to provide more sheltered and intimate formal spaces.

The yacht has an extensive health and beauty center with a spa and an expansive beach club.

The beach club creates the perfect area for guests to enjoy indoor/outdoor living. There is also a swimming platform where guests can leap into the water below.

She has an on-deck jacuzzi to soak up the bubbles and the views. The yacht also has an elevator for convenient access to her different decks and a comprehensive gym onboard. The tender garage is brimming with towable toys and tenders.

Reymond Langton Design also contributed to the exterior design of the LADY LARA yacht. She was built by Lürssen and delivered from their Rendsburg shipyard in 2015. The exterior has sweeping curves and elegant but masculine features.

LADY LARA was code-named project Orchid when she was launched from the Lürssen Shipyard in 2015 and later renamed. She has a full displacement hull which gives her exceptional speeds in the water.

She has a white aluminum superstructure and teak decks throughout. The exterior is accented by underwater lights, which illuminate her at the night.

The LADY LARA yacht is a 91m superyacht with a beam of 14.82m and a draft of 4m. The vessel reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.

She is powered by 2 MTU engines and has a displacement of 2,945 gross tons.

She features an advanced stabilization system that provides guests with the best comfort levels on board by minimizing the rolling motion of the vessel. The $180 million yacht has a $14 – $15 million annual running cost.

She is an award-winning yacht that holds an award from the Asia Boating competition in 2016. LADY LARA has a Lloyd’s Register classification.

A $1.4 Million-Per-Week Yacht Charter Experience

Y.CO has just welcomed the 298-foot Lürssen Lady Lara to the charter fleet. The lowest weekly base rate is $1.4 million for bookings this winter in the Caribbean and Bahamas.

The yacht is also listed for sale—at more than $254 million—for the first time since the German shipyard delivered it in 2015. Y.CO’s Max Bulley and Gary Wright, along with Merle Wood of Merle Wood & Associates, represented the yacht at the recent Monaco Yacht Show.

“With Lürssen quality and stunning Reymond Langton design, Lady Lara is an exceptional yacht that was conceived with family living in mind,” Wright stated in a press release. “Her adaptable spaces, variety and flexibility, in addition to all the amazing features like the breathtaking spa area, the beach club and two pools, are ideal for multigenerational groups and put Lady Lara into a league of her own.”

Accommodations are for 12 guests in their choice of eight staterooms (for private use, the yacht is built to accommodate 16 guests). Six of the guest staterooms are on the main deck, with one on the lower deck. The master suite has its own private deck with an exterior terrace, outdoor hot tub, and indoor library. The aft-deck space in the owner’s area is called a “winter garden,” with sliding glass panels that can be closed to shelter diners from the elements.

There also are two cabins for owner’s staff or supernumeraries, in addition to the yacht’s quarters for 27 crew.

Onboard amenities include an aft-deck pool whose floor can be raised to create a dance floor. A sound system on this deck helps to create a discotheque-style environment for parties. There’s another pool up on the sundeck, this one with a swim-up bar.

On the bridge deck, guests have access to the spa, which includes a hammam, massage room, treatment room, beauty salon and gymnasium. Guests who prefer to get their exercise outdoors can do so from the beach club at water level, which has a steam room and a sauna along with a sunbathing area.

For rainy days and relaxing nights, the lower deck aboard Lady Lara includes a cinema. There’s also a touch-and-go helipad on board, if guests want to escape to a different spot up the coast.

How fast can Lady Lara cruise? According to Y.CO, the yacht has a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots, which is plenty fast for exploring the islands.
