The way we use boats has changed in the past years. Accompanied by advanced technologies and in-depth studies NEO has been designed from the ground up by close cooperation with J&J Design. In order to make it equally attractive for different markets and climates we designed NEO to be available in three basic versions: Coupe, Hard Top and Open. Open and Hard Top share the same deck arrangements with generous social area aft and in the bow whereas Coupe offers remarkable salon area with excellent 360 visibility, fully functional galley equipped with full height fridge/freezer combo and an innovative access to the bow sun-pad. Following the signature features that represent the Greenline Yachts DNA, NEO is all about comfort and convenience onboard, be that only for a few hour joyride with friends, or on a longer cruise with your loved ones.

NEO is defined by it’s unique bathing platform which is the largest platform ever introduced on any outboard engine powered boat. It features a unique hydraulic lifting mechanism for the platform, which is surrounding the engines making it much larger than on any competitor in the outboard class. The adaptable stairs connecting the platform and the cockpit are integrated into the platform itself ensuring a safe and comfortable passage at any height of the platform. The cockpit features a generous U-shaped seating area with a wet bar making it a perfect place to relax or entertain your friends and family. The helmsman’s position features a comfortable bench with room enough for two guests and helmsman to enjoy the ride and appreciate the visibility and ergonomics of the dashboard. In addition to the cockpit entertaining area, there is an intimate U shaped bow lounge area just above the cabin accessible via a unique passage through the windshield to port. Following the Greenline Yachts One Level Living concept there is only one step to overcome from the cockpit to the bow also making it safe and effortless to bring up the mooring line in case of stern-to Mediterranean docking. Greenline NEO can host up to unprecedented 16 guests, 11 of which are able to face forward during navigation which represents a uniquely comfortable and safe feeling while piercing through the waves.

NEO Coupe features a full size cabin down below with an “island” double berth or optional Greenline’s signature “scissor” berths together with surprisingly spacious head compartment and ample wardrobe and storage space. Open and Hard Top versions also share the cabin layout with the separate toilet compartment and a V-shaped settee with a table that can be transformed into a double berth. Choosing from broad range of interior upholstery fabric options and colors including furniture wood each NEO can be an individual of its own and a pride and joy of it’s owner.

We are Dymph and Wim Bijnen, the proud owners of Greenline 40 named Dymple. We made some changes to the boat – the blue hull, extra teak on the sun deck and on the benches in the cockpit gives this boat more cachet. For this summer a trip is planned to the Olympics in London where there is a big Sail Parade on the Thames to London.

As we owned lots of boats before we know it’s impossible to design and built a new boat without any problems, however Greenline/Seaway pursued in getting the boat right! We have never seen service like this before, big compliments to Seaway and Nova yachting. We are now the proud owners of this wonderful hybrid. As we use the boat in the northern part of the Netherlands it’s awesome to sail electric through parts were there are only lots of birds, the silence is amazing. What we also love is just anchor somewhere in the middle of nature without worrying about shore-power and still have all the luxury like we were at home. In short; we love the setup of this hybrid! It’s quiet, full of luxury and very versatile. Love it! Greenline 33, too awesome.

We are very happy with our Greenline 40. It gives a new dimension for family navigation. The boat is comfortable and really easy to handle.

Jon and Anne Fleming live on the Gold Coast. They have owned a Greenline Hybrid 40 since 2013 and clocked up over 1000NM in the first year. The couple have owned a lot of boats over the years – we asked them why they chose the Greenline this time.

“We wanted to sometimes travel without noise. We chose the hybrid version of the Greenline for that reason and often use it when the tide is in our favour – and it’s terrific – both effective and efficient. We live on the Gold Coast and go away for a day or 2 at a time heading to South Stradbroke Island and Jumpinpin. The Greenline is very comfortable for overnight trips away with everything we want – we often say it’s just like an apartment. We love the large galley and great fridge. We also love the full size beds in the main cabin – it’s easy to divide them in the in day time and push them together in seconds at night.

Easter in Mooloolaba

For Easter we went to Mooloolaba which is around 80 miles from us. It was quite rough off the northern top of Moreton Island but we were reasonably comfortable on board and the boat handled the conditions beautifully. We had 4 adults and 2 children on board for the long weekend. We had a fantastic time – dropping the stern down to enjoy the water and indoor-outdoor living. I guess for us the Greenline stood out from the crowd. We wanted plenty of shade, walk around decks, single level living and a swim platform. We also love the overall visibility and the fact that we can sit in the cabin and watch TV. The living space is really well thought out. We are absolutely thrilled with boat and our experience with eyachts has been very good. They attend to everything straightaway and are a pleasure to deal with.”

John Bossi had his eye on the Greenline for months. After several boat shows, lots of reading and research, he made a shared decision with his wife, Jo. The couple finally settled on the Greenline 33 Hybrid over their second choice, a catamaran. In his own words, John shares with us what his family loves about the Greenline 33…

Why the Greenline 33? “At first the attraction was the styling. The Greenline has a unique look for the market…it’s retro but modern. The combination of design and material like the beautiful woods give it a great look. I’m also impressed with its phenomenal value for money just in the purchase price. That’s on top of the savings you gain from its hybrid engine and solar power features.”

Where has the Greenline taken you? “Mainly day trips on Sydney Harbour and an overnight at Cockle Bay. We had it offshore in a 2 to 3 meter swell and it exceeded my expectations. The Greenline is gentle and plows through waves easily. It’s a supremely seaworthy yacht. The steering is relaxed and doesn’t roll as much as some of our past boats. There is none of the slamming you get on a planning hull. We look forward to doing some coastal cruising and more overnights in the future.”

How’s life aboard? “We love it! We have 3 children and lots of friends and family we like to entertain. I’m Italian and my wife loves to cook big meals – its our way of relaxing, creating memories with our favourite people. The Greenline is a perfect fit for our lifestyle – it’s truly an entertainers’ boat.” The Greenline has a great layout with a seamless flow from inside to out. I’m always involved in what’s happening when I’m driving. Again, in my other boats, I was on the flybridge talking down to everyone below. We also had our Christmas party on board. I invited the staff from my dental practice to a restaurant for what they thought was lunch and showed up in the Greenline. They were ecstatic! With 10 guests on board we had a blast cruising Sydney Harbour on a beautiful summer day.”

Any surprises on the Greenline? “One night we docked off Cockle Bay for dinner thinking it would be a great way to avoid driving late at night. We went back to the boat around midnight when we realized the party on Cockle Bay was just getting started! Surprisingly, as soon as we shut the door our world went silent for a great night of sleep! I had no idea the sound insulation was that good.”

What would you like potential Greenline owners to know? “It’s an extremely versatile boat. The brochures indicates this, but it wasn’t until going to 3 boat shows and owning one myself that I realised what that meant. There are actually 5 saloon configurations we use when we have guests aboard (see photos below).

1. Dining with L shaped and side seating 2. Coffee Table seating 3. Comfortable helms seat for two 4. Open Saloon using coffee table as a serving table or seat on bathing platform 5. Guest berths with a double and single bed

Each configuration takes seconds to arrange. Also the bed in the owner’s cabin is so easy to convert – again seconds. Having two entrances into the bathroom is a really nice privacy feature. The engines are also easy to access.”

How was eyachts ? “Working with Dan Jones was great… there were never problems, only solutions. I found that across the board with everyone I was in contact with at eyachts. I’ve made a lot of purchases from dental equipment to motorcycles. I have never experienced a standard set so high across an organisation. I love the espresso machine that Dan gave me as a purchase gift – perfect for an Italian. It was very thoughtful and a great ending to a wonderful experience.”

Our names are Ron and Andrena Williams. We purchased our Greenline 33 about 5 months ago through a wonderful agent; Richard Wardenburg and his lovely wife Suzy, from Auckland NZ. We have really enjoyed this boat, it is ideal for our situation in The Marlborough Sounds, S.I. of New-Zealand. The Marlborough Sounds has 1,500 km`s of coastal waterways, with variable winds and seas flat, to quite rough at times. Greenline travels well and, no-one experiences motion sickness on this boat. It is ergonomically excellent, with the extended deck area enabling us to partake in more activities, more easily, such as divine, swimming. The cost per hour to “run” at 5.7litres of diesel, is envied by other boat users. PS: My wife has a fear of water and boats but has gotten quite confident on our Greenline 33.

As we owned lots of boats before we know it’s impossible to design and built a new boat without any problems, however Greenline/Seaway pursued in getting the boat right! We have never seen service like this before, big compliments to Seaway and Nova yachting. We are now the proud owners of this wonderful hybrid. It’s quiet, full of luxury and very versatile. Love it! Greenline 33, too awesome.

Despite the acceptance of hybrid technology in cars, similar technology in boats still raises a few eyebrows, but there is no reason why it has any less promise in marine applications. Indeed, it may well be the future of powered boating and Slovenian boat builder Greenline is leading the way.

Hull shape and Hybrid propulsion are reducing the fuel consumption and environmental impact as well as increasing the comfort and quality of life on board.

The Greenline 33 is not only the big surprise of the year but arguably the most significant new boat of the decade.

Jack Haines takes the sporty, yet fuel-efficient Greenline NEO for an exhilarating test drive in the Solent

Having not been in the cockpit of a fighter jet during a full lock turn I can’t say for sure what it feels like but it can’t be that dissimilar from doing the same aboard the Greenline NEO.

Under instruction from our snapper Richard to “crank it hard over”, the sea looms up close enough for me to lean over and dip my hand in it as I pin the throttles and flick the wheel hard to starboard.

We are in a near deserted Solent on a warm spring day and the Greenline NEO is in its element. On the cruise over from the Hamble we clocked a comfortable 40 knots and at 25 knots the engines melt into the background, draining petrol from the tank at a rate of around 90 litres per hour.

There’s no penalty for dialing up the speed either, in fact the optimum range and fuel efficiency comes at 5,000rpm and 32 knots, a speed at which the boat feels happy to cruise courtesy of the twin 250hp Mercury V8s.

You can upgrade to twin 300hp V8s but they’re not a must-have, the 250s – on this boat with a heavy spec including the hi-lo platform – feel perfectly punchy and strike a good balance between performance and economy.

There are smaller engine options too and you might just get away with the twin 200s on the Open version, but the twin 150s are unlikely to be that appealing on the used boat market a few years down the line.

VIDEO: Greenline 39 review

The Greenline 39 Hybrid represents a fresh start for the Slovenian yard, we put it to the test - hybrid

This being a Greenline there is a more eco-friendly version with a pair of Torqeedo Deep Blue 80 outboards and two 40kw/h batteries from a BMW i8 but its eye-wateringly expensive (approximately £85,000) and gives a mere 20nm of range at 6 knots.

The NEO is an easy boat to drive quickly because it’s natural running attitude is so neutral and any stress of trimming correctly is handled by the excellent Zipwake system, a £3,100 option that is well worth adding. Set the stabilisation system to auto and the interceptors will react in seconds to keep the boat as evenly poised as possible.

The steering is quite heavy and feels a little cumbersome at displacement speeds but that weightiness is welcome as the velocity increases and you don’t constantly have to make tiny adjustments to the wheel.

The fighter jet-like leaning takes some getting used to at first but once you find the extremes of the turn it soon becomes clear that though the heel is alarming the amount of grip is resolute. The stern doesn’t slide an inch under hard cornering and even when we were pulling some properly silly manouevres for the camera the hull didn’t feel like it had a tendency to skip or catch.

It’s enormously good fun but it feels safe and accessible. Solid, too, with that hard top overhead, a walk-through windscreen and a table in the bow cockpit I expected there to be a fair amount of rattle and shake coming off waves but the boat feels reassuringly rigid. It was a calm day but we took some heavy landings off the wake of our 45ft chase boat and the hull stood firm.

Greenline has clearly thought about the little touches at the helm and there are numerous highlights that make driving the NEO that bit more pleasurable. The driving position itself is set good and high so there is an excellent view all round.

The three identical forward facing seats are well padded and body-hugging but comfortable for longer stints and all three have lift up bolsters giving the option to stand and lean. Frankly, the seated position is so comfortable you won’t need to stand unless it really kicks up.

The Hardtop version we have on test has a great combination of shelter and exposure, the roof overhead giving way to completely open sides so there is ample ventilation and a connection to the water that the fully enclosed Coupe version can’t match.

It’s a shame that there isn’t a sunroof or even some opening hatches but this would mean shrinking the size of the standard solar panels on the roof. No, Greenline hasn’t completely abandoned its hybrid pretensions and the panels mean that, when teamed with the standard inverter, you can run the fridge, grill and 240V sockets without needing a generator.

Greenline Introduces the Neo

  • By Kim Kavin
  • Updated: September 18, 2018

Greenline , the hybrid- and electric-propulsion brand owned by SVP Yachts in Slovenia, has introduced a new model: the 36-foot Neo.

The Neo comes in open, hard-top and coupe versions, all designed in conjunction with J&J Design in Slovenia to carry 14 guests.

Owners can choose a lounge with a table, or a sun pad, at the bow. Standard features include a cockpit wet bar, a belowdecks cabin with a U-shaped settee and head, and a hydraulic swim platform that has high, low and middle positions.

Solar power is also standard. Twin electric Torqeedo outboards reportedly push the Neo to 16 knots. A range extender can take the boat 180 nautical miles at 5 knots, according to Greenline.

For faster speeds, twin 300-horsepower Mercury engines are available and push the Neo to 45 knots, Greenline says.

What’s the base price? The open version is about $116,000. The hard-top Neo starts at about $133,700, and the coupe’s base price is about $150,000.

Since we’ve never been in the cockpit of a warplane that changed direction before, we’re not sure what it feels like, but we don’t think that’s going to be any different than what we’ve been living at Greenline NEO. When Richard at the head of the crew commanded “full speed alabanda”, we were so close to the water that we could reach out and put our hands in the water.

On a warm spring day we were in the almost empty Solent and the NEO was in the mood. Hambledan 40 knots speed while coming comfortably recorded, 25 knots 90 hours per hour consuming the sound of the machines disappeared in the background. There’s nothing wrong with increasing speed, even at optimum fuel efficiency at 5000rpm and 32 knots, thanks to the dual 250hp Mercury V8, which makes the boat a very comfortable cruise.

greenline neo yacht

Although it is possible to equip the dual 300hp V8 by enlarging the machines, it is not essential; The 250hp machines, which are equipped with many extras, such as an ascent / descent platform, are both powerful enough and offer a good balance of performance and economy. Smaller machine options are also available; 200hp machines may be enough for an Open boat, but a boat equipped with 150hp machines will not be very attractive in the second hand market after a few years. Since this is a Greenline, a more eco-friendly version with a pair of Torqeedo Deep Blue 80 stern and two 40kW / h MBW i8 batteries is also available and offers only 20 nautical cruising speeds at kt speed.

NEO is an easy-to-use boat because it naturally has easy handling, and with the slightest strain, the wonderful Zipwake system straightens the trim. When the system is set to automatic, the stoppers are activated in seconds to keep the boat as stable as possible. Its rudder is very heavy and a little cumbersome at displacement speeds, but as the speed increases, this weight works and there is no need to make small adjustments to the rudder.

greenline neo yacht

Initially, it is necessary to get used to the boat lying like a war jet, but after seeing how much it lies on the turns, no matter how scary it is, you see that it is very firmly attached to the water. In hard turns, the ass doesn’t slip a centimeter, and even when we do crazy maneuvers to give photos, the body never loses control. In addition, the fixed ceiling on the top, the front panel glass can be circulated around and the head cockpit table because of the choppy air we expected quite tingirdamas but the boat is extremely robust. Even though the weather was calm when we went on the cruise, we hit the rudder wave of the 45ft boat that went in front of us in order to take photos and the hull managed to remain extremely balanced.

greenline neo yacht

Obviously, Greenline pondered over the rudder section and gave details to make the NEO enjoyable to use. Rudder position is good and high, hence good visibility in all directions. Three identical front-facing seats are soft and surround the body; These seats are comfortable enough to sit for a long time, thanks to the support of standing or leaning in order to hold the rudder is designed and positioned. To tell you the truth, the seats are so comfortable that you won’t feel the need to hold a rudder unless the weather is too harsh. The hardtop version, which we went on trial, provides both adequate protection and is as clear as necessary; Thanks to the roof at the top, the sides are completely open, providing plenty of airflow and connecting to the sea more than the fully enclosed Coupe version. It was bad that there wasn’t a sunroof or openable barriers on the top, but to do that it would have to reduce the size of the solar panels on the ceiling. The existing solar panels are used in combination with a standard inverter, enabling the operation of refrigerators, grills and 240V sockets without the need for a generator.

LIFE IN DECK

NEO is a boat with a wider feeling than it is, so it is very enjoyable to have it on the iron. The center of life on the cockpit deck with clever details, with plenty of seating around the large folding table and island bar counter. The bar, which is placed in the middle of the island, creates two corridors where guests can walk around to get their drinks and food, although it seems strange at first.

greenline neo yacht

The layout inside directly affects the placement of the overhead. Our test boat had a dining table and a seating group on its head, but the space allocated in the cabin makes it a table and a seating group that can only be turned into a bed. If the sunbathing cushion option is preferred at first, the ceiling height required for a proper double bed can be gained in the cabin, but considering the possible use of the boat, having a sitting group on the head seems more advantageous than a proper bed in the cabin. We can say that it is the most glaring part of the boat with a comfortable seating group, glass nests and opening lamps around the first dining table; especially in the case of a spacious bathroom with full ceiling height – especially in the case of a more luxurious bed below.

greenline neo yacht

Due to the above seating group there is no deck hatch or trunk window and the sliding door at the entrance is made of dark glass, the cabin is a bit dark and the spotlights do not work very well. The Greenline cabin urgently needs to strengthen the lighting so that it is not so dark. The other side of the boat is also very interesting, the first three-dimensional drawings of the innovative swimming platform was remarkable. Most boats with stern machines are equipped with steps that make it easier to swim in the NEOda platform instead of the small optional up and down swim platforms on both sides of the machines platform.

There were suspicions when Greenline announced that it would build a sports boat, but the result was impressive. It is difficult to understand that this is the first sport and stern outboard of the shipyard. They really did a great job. While the Open Mediterranean is ideal for speeding in the bays, the Coupe offers a completely different usage with its closed rudder lodge and comfortable dec lounge. Hardtop is our favorite with its stylish lines, additional weather protection and great deck. Even if none of these features are attractive, you can imagine that you are sailing by boat and you are a jet pilot.

Had to wait for the food for 1.5 hours and then another 20 minutes for the check. Finally called for the manager and he offered... a 10% discount as a compensation. Simply pathetic! The food is mediocre at best. Not bad per se, but one... would expect something better considering the prices. There are many places to eat in area that are much better. Avoid this one at all costs. Food is very expensive, very pretentious, doesn't worth that money. Portions are very small. We ordered ravioli and there were 4! Four raviolis! For almost 15 euros. Then we asked to bring us dessert menu but nothing, they didn't even bothered, so we payed and left... without dessert. Very poor service for that price. More

This is a very good restaurant. The food is really good, maybe the best in Moscow. The service is also good. The view from the restaurant is great. The prices are very high.

I often visit this restaurant and must say it’s one of the best in Moscow in terms of quality and service. Staff really try hard to make sure that you are happy and satisfied. Customer service is a huge problem in Moscow but Chaika sets... a great example for others in the industry! Food is delicious and the menu has lots of options for everyone! Atmosphere is great and view is beautiful on the embankment. Special thanks to German & Oleg! More

Thank you for your feedback! Again aboard the yacht restaurant "Chaika" in accordance with the high standards of yacht hospitality.

Highly recommended, great location in the city center of Moscow with a superb atmosphere. Too many menu choices, though all delicious!

Thx a lot for your review! We are looking forward to see you in our restaurants.

Visited this lovely restaurant with a friend of mine. It was relaxingly warm August evening - so the place on the river seemed like a good idea. We came quite early and the restaurant was not full. The hostesses kindly offered several places to sit... and we chose to sit on the sofas. We had some wine, which was good. We struggled a bit when deciding about the food as few options (scallops) were not available. Fish on ice on display did not look very fresh. To be honest it was an unusually hot August and it is probably understandable that some see food options were not available. However, we did manage to order something and sat waiting and looking onto the river. My long-legged friend struggled sitting at the low sofa and the manager noticed that, offering as a very good, proper table beside the open window. It was nice touch and I was very pleased by their polite observations and immediate reaction to solve the problem. Food was quite good and presentation was perfect. Perhaps I can something about the food, but 1 visit is not enough to criticize or make a definitive opinion. Overall, quality place, which of course, does not come cheap. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. More

Good location. Nice views. Good choice of food and drinks. European and Asian menu. Nice service. Pricey enough.

Had a large group dinner here. Food was above average and service quite good. The real attraction is the view of Moscow from the river on a nice night. Great place for a larger group dinner. More
