Are only 21+ allowed ? I am planning my daughters 21 birthday but I do have 17 year and 20 yr old. So was just wondering if under 21 are allowed?

Thank you for your interest in Boomerang! All public cruises this 2021 season are 21+, but all ages are welcome on board private charters.

What type of music is played on the boomerang party yacht?

The night we went they play a good mix of Top 40, old school hip hop, reggae and 90's pop. It honestly was a good mix.

As a veteran of boomerang buses I was intrigued to get the opportunity to jump on the boomerang boat for my buddy's birthday celebration. They stressed to us that we should show up early and that the boat would not hesitate without us but I'd say the boat left a good 15 minutes late. The boat is divided into an upstairs and a downstairs. The downstairs area contains the bar and has the DJ playing top 40 hits, while upstairs is a great open air deck with solid views of the city. Because of the government shutdown we had to leave from Southwest water front rather than Georgetown but I can't hold that against Boomerang. The drink prices are fair ($8 for assorted cocktails) and the crew seemed friendly enough. There was a variety of different groups on the boat. I'd say if you're picking the 9:30 departure time to definitely prepare for more of a party boat atmosphere and not a romantic cruise. All in all for 2.5 hours of getting your drink on on the Potomac i'd say it was definitely worth it and a great time.

So, I have been on the boomerang several times. I normally do the 9:45 party cruise however, this time we went on 08/14/2019 which was a Wednesday night for a birthday. The boat had a lot space to move about freely unlike the previous cruises we have taken and that was a plus. However, the music this time was the absolute worse. The majority of the boat ride the music was horrible we requested songs that were played however they we remixed and sounded terrible. I think this will be my final ride on this vessel as the DJ seems to get worse each time. He didn't play anything rap and or r/b until the cruise was 20 minutes from being over.

If you are looking for a nice day/night out with a mixed crowed this is the place!! The crew on board are very nice and help make your night rememberable.

Boomerang Tours is an awesome thing to do with friends new in town or just your significant other. Kelly worked with me when my ticket for both my girlfriend and I were mistakenly timed. She helped us get on the right boat to fit our convenience and we had no issues at all. The associates on the boat during the ride were very professional and alert making sure that everyone had a great ride. I'm definitely doing it again.

It all depends on the crowd, if it's a good group having fun and dancing, which is mostly what I experienced, then it's a great time. But I can see people easily getting bored. It's not exactly a club-like dj. Also in the summer when it's 95 and humid, it would be nice to have some fans in the bottom deck and maybe some misters up top. It was way too hot to move when I was there.

If I could give less than one star I would. This was a quote cruise...no party involved. The DJ did not bring his laptop so they played the same 6 songs for 2 hours at a low volume. Everyone sat in boredom on their phones staring at each other. Require a refund. This was completely u professional and a waste of money.

My group had 15 people in it, everyone had a BLAST and couldn't stop talking about how much fun we had! The DJ tho, fantastic!! We had so much fun that I'm almost scared to go again, but I plan on going several more times! I always wanted to go on the Boomerang party boat and since I had a friend visit there was no better time, best decision ever!!

I had a wonderful time , 2nd time this year. The staff was all polite and Dj played all good music. I will recommend to give it a try.

The Boomerang boat was too much fun. It's the perfect alternative to a club or restaurant birthday party. You have the ability to get family and friends into one place dance and drink for a couple of hours and then it's time to go home. A great party for all. For my cousin's birthday we decided to send out an Evite asking everyone to get their tickets for a specific time and date. The tickets sell out pretty fast but if you encourage your folks to act fast....you can get a good turnout. We were able to fill the boat with about 70% of our people. We went the first weekend in December but it was still a great time. We were inside the boat the majority of the time but when outside for a quick photo opt. I highly recommend the Boomerang Boat...cheap drinks....good popular radio music. No food really worth mentioning and with it being cold outside the inside can get crowded. Overall 2 thumbs up!

Best Cruise line out of the canal. The drinks tasted great & were very reasonable. Boomerang was more of a party line than the other boat cruises on the canal & very spacious.
