MARINA DALMACIJA

Marina Dalmacija is located along the main coastal road, also known as Adriatic highway, about 9km SE of Zadar. Marina Dalmacija is artificially constructed and where now the greater part of the coast and the peninsula is, 25 years ago there was sea. It is the largest marina in Croatia and on the east coast of the Adriatic Sea. The marina is very impressive as a product of a human.

Along the coast there are plenty of parking spaces, nevertheless the Marina Dalmacija offers a lot of open parking spaces (charged per day/week!) and payable garage spaces.

The marina has several shops, restraurants and cafes, enough toilet facilities, a front desk and general store, as well as a gas station.

Marina Dalmacija is located between Bibinje and Sukošan, with only a few additional external supply services. Major shopping centers are located about   6 km away, on the outskirts of Zadar.

Along the coast, at this part of the Adriatic Sea, three island chains are stretching. To the nearest, Ugljan and Pašman, are only a few miles, and the Kornati islands are 11 miles away. It is important to note that through the Ždrelac channel between the islands Ugljan and Pašman, sailboat navigation is possible only for sailing yachts with up to 16,5m mast height above the water level. Sail boats able to pass the channel are yachts about 12m long.

Perhaps its position is not as ideal as that of Biograd, as it is not immediately in the city, but that is one of the reasons you will always be able to find a free berth in case of storms or if you need to be certain you will be able to find one. As a result of the close vicinity to the Zadar airport, it is a very convenient drop-off and pick-up location for crew members who need to leave the boat urgently to fly home or new crew members who couldn't make it on the first sailing day due to obligations or incomplete availability of air flight tickets, and who must arrive on the second sailing day.

As previously said, the Marina is quite large, and thus you must be familiar with the location of our office. If your taxi cab driver leaves you off at the main reception, you will have to walk more than a kilometer to reach our office. For this reason, you must tell your taxi driver to let you down at pier number 4, which is located just between the kroki office and the laundry on the other side of the Marina, heading in the direction of the petrol station and to take you to our office.

Croatia is located on the north-eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea. The Republic is twice the size of Belgium and its main tourist attraction are its beautiful beaches. Croatia's charms remain largely intact after the war. The aura of medieval quaintness endures in its cobbled streets. The country is home to some of Europe's finest Roman ruins, including the immense palace of Diocletian in Split. Festivals and carnivals abound throughout the year.

The long, rugged islands off Croatia's mountainous coast make this a yachting paradise. There are a number of deep channels, idyllic ports and good steady winds. The varied topography of the coast has spurred a growth in diving activity and almost all resorts have a dive centre. In northern Dalmatia on the Adriatic coast, the Mediterranean sailing center of Sukosan is one of the best places to launch a perfect sailing vacation in Croatia. Here we make some suggestions as to destinations for you to explore - high points you shouldn't miss. These should all be accessible on your sailboat charter , catamaran charter , luxury yacht charter or motorboat charter without spending too much time at sea!

7 days: Heading south-east down the Adriatic Coast you should aim at the Croatian coastal towns of Vodice or Sibenik as your far point of the trip. Vodice is a romantic old town with a good marina, while Sibenik with its Cathedral of St James is just as enchanting and can be a stop for you to explore Krka National Park. From there consider heading across the channel to the island of Murter, the stunning Kornati Island archipelago, and then the beach resort of Biograd. Don't forget the Zadar Archipelago - a short hop across the sea from Sukosan.

14 days: On a 14 day sailing vacation you could reach the historic town of Trogir and even Split without spending too much time afloat every day. You can take in the famous beach resort of Hvar before returning via the Kornati Islandnational park. Do try to get up the river to the Krka National Park near Skradin - arguably Croatia's best inland national park with its waterfalls and gorges. As far to the north as Split is to the south from Sukosan, the island of Krk is the largest island of Croatia and is worthy of a longer visit should you have time.

The sailing season runs from late April to October with July and August being the busiest months for taking out a charter boat or gulet. The ACI Marina chain also adds 20% to their berthing fees at this time of year. The climate is mild most of the sailing season with occasional rain showers.

If we could interest you in one of our yachts, please send us an offer request via the online form (or via telephone or WhatsApp). We will contact you as soon as possible.

We will send you a binding offer with payment details by e-mail and provisionally reserve the yacht for a specific period of time. Before the expiration date, make a deposit of 50% by bank transfer. The yacht is then reserved and you will receive the booking confirmation.

4 weeks before the check-in date you pay the remaining 50% plus additional extras if chosen (if your request is already made within this period, you pay the full amount).

The deposit will only be reserved on site on the pick-up date via credit card (during the handover). Spontaneous extras can be paid for with a credit or debit card or in cash during the handover.

Marina Dalmacija

The classy and sophisticated Dalmacija Marina is an ideal starting base for a yacht charter from the Sukosan or Zadar area. Its location serves as a gateway to an area of extraordinary beauty and one of the best cruising areas worldwide with five national parks:  Kornati, Paklenica (mountain), Northern Velebit (mountain), Krka Waterfalls and Plitvice Lakes and three nature parks: Telascica bay, Lake Vrana and Velebit Mountain. It is the largest Marina in Croatia and is located just 7km from the ancient port town of Zadar.

Centrally positioned Dalmacija Marina is a consummate homeport for superyachts. With its high quality berths, excellent service and luxurious facilities it can accommodate megayacht up to 80m and is a good place for a permanent berth for super yacht owners and mega yacht charters alike.

On approach, the depth at the entrance to the marina is between 5 to 8 meters, however in the central part of the bay ranges change from 3 to 8m.

Awarded with the Blue Flag every year since 2000, Dalmacija Marina meets all the international standards for environmental management.

Dalmacija Marina has 1,200 berths for yachts up to 80m in length with power, water and waste removal services and dock assistance at all berths. There is a dry-dock capacity of 300, 160 of which are on 3 raised piers on land-crane pass and various travel lifts and trailers. Facilities include wide fix piers with adjacent car parking and superyacht berths and vessels with a draft of 7m can be supported.

Other services include WC and shower, laundry service, parking, a fuel station, wireless internet access and 24 hour security as well as fire warning and extinguishing systems. Also, Dalmacija Marina is adequately equipped to service and repair any yacht.

Entertainment facilities include a beach club, which is located near the marina beach, on the peninsula. Its modern design and comfortably furnished interiors along with the attractive beach with cabanas perfectly complement the pleasing surroundings. This is a place to enjoy breakfast or lighter meals at any time of a day, as well as a wide assortment of drinks in the lounge bar. Mediterranean tastes made from the freshest ingredients are served with style at the restaurants; a perfect place to watch the sun go down. Also in the complex are a kid's club, supermarket, brokers and travel agencies and       shops

Located 10 kilometers south-east of Zadar is the small town of Sukosan. Known for its agriculture vine and olive growing, Sukosan is also very attractive to tourists. Anreise:  Die Marina in Sukošan ist von Deutschland aus gut mit dem Auto und dem Flugzeug zu erreichen. Von München aus sind es knapp 850 Kilometer. Auch mit dem Flugzeug ist die Anreise problemlos. Der internationale Flughafen Zadar ist nur 5 Kilometer entfernt.

Entdeckungsreise durch die Kornaten

Die Inselgruppe der Kornaten erstreckt sich entlang der norddalmatischen Küstenlinie zwischen den Städten Zadar und Šibenik . Das Archipel umasst etwa 150 Inseln und macht damit knapp 12% aller Inseln Kroatiens aus. Insgesamt 89 dieser Inseln stehen undter Naturschutz und bilden den Naturpark Kornati. Der Naturpark ist ein Seglerparadies, der Zugang kostenpflichtig. Die Preise richten sich dabei nach der Schiffslänge. Wenn man die Tickets zuvor online erwirbt ist der Kauf günstiger.

Der nördliche Teil der Kornaten und die Insel Dugi Otok

1 Woche: Sukošan – Insel Žut – Insel Otok – Insel Ilovik – Insel Silba – Insel Sestrunj – Uglijan – Sukošan 

Von Sukošan aus liegen die Kornaten, das Naturparadies Norddalmatiens , direkt vor der Türe. Nur einen kurzen Schlag und Sie sind mittendrin im Inselparadies der nördlichen Kornaten. Entdecken Sie die Insel Žut , die zweitgrößte der Inseln. Sie wird landwirtschaftlich genutzt, hier finden sich besonders Oliven- und Feigenbäume und Viehhirten treiben ihre Tiere über die ansonsten von der typischen Macchia bewachsenen Insel. Die Küstenlinie der Insel ist geprägt von vielen Buchten, in welchen sich oft ein einsamer Ankerplatz finden lässt. Ebenso findet sich im Nordosten der Insel eine Marina. Auch mehrere Restaurants und kleinere landestypische Konobas bieten Ihnen bestes Ambiente für ihren Urlaubsstart. 

Die Insel Dugi Otok  gilt als eine der schönsten Inseln der kroatischen Adria . Der Südosten der Insel wurde mit dem Naturpark Telašćica unter besonderen Schutz gestellt. Entdecken Sie die hier besonders vielfältige mediterrane Pflanzen- und Tierwelt und den Salzsee Mir bei einer Wanderung über die Insel, oder ankern Sie in der Bucht Telašćica und entspannen Sie beim Anblick der umliegenden, grün bewachsenen Felsenküste. Ein weiteres Highlight ist die kleine Insel Ilovik . Direkt südlich der Insel Losinj  mit unserem Stützpunkt Mali Losinj  gelegen, trägt die Insel berechtigterweise den Spitzname „die Blumeninsel“. Sie zählt bereits zu den Inseln der Losinjer Bucht und damit nicht mehr zu Dalmatien. Am südöstlichen Teil der Insel befindet sich die Bucht Parzine. Der sich hier kilometerweit erstreckende Sandstrand ist perfekt für einen Familienurlaub geeignet. Die Kinder können ihr Können beim Sandburgen bauen unter Beweis stellen und die Eltern genießen einfach nur Sonne, Strand und den Blick aufs Meer.

Ruhesuchende finden auf der Insel Silba  ein wahres Idyll. Hier gibt es nur einen einzigen bewohnten Ort. Auch wenn die Insel nur insgesamt eine Fläche von 15 km 2 umfasst, bietet sich dennoch genügend Raum, um sich bei einer Wanderung für die einzigen anwesenden Menschen zu halten. Die kleine Insel Sestrunj  lockt mit authentischer kroatischer Lebensart. Die touristisch kaum erschlossene Insel bietet mit ihren typisch dalmatinischen Steinhäusern und der Gelassenheit der Bewohner einen idealen Anlaufpunkt für geruhsame Stunden. Im gleichnamigen Ort auf der Insel wird ein Mal jährlich, meist Ende Juli, die „Sestrunja noc“ gefeiert. Hier versammelt sich das gesamte Dorf auf dem Dorfplatz und es wird zu Musik einer live Band getanzt und das Leben gefeiert.

Nur durch den Pasman-Kanal vom Festland und der Stadt Zadar  getrennt liegt die Insel Uglijan . Taucher werden diese Insel sicherlich kennen. Die Küsten der Insel sind bekannt für Ihre Tauchspots mit Steilwänden, Höhlen und Unterwasserspalten. Dadurch, dass sich auf der Insel nur Kies und Felsstrände befinden, ist die Sicht ausgezeichnet. Auf Uglijan befindet sich auch ein Tauchzentrum, an welches sich Interessierte wenden können. Die Insel ist mit der Nachbarinsel Pasman  mit einer Brücke verbunden. Auf Pasman lohnt ein Besuch des Franziskanerklosters „Sveti Dujme“ in Kraj aus dem 14. Jahrhundert besonders wegen des angeschlossenen Museums für einen Nachmittagsbesuch. Nicht nur Kloster- und Kirchengeschichte wird hier mit Exponaten deutlich gemacht, sondern auch die Geschichte der Insel selbst wird erzählt. Das Benediktinerkloster „Sv. Kuzme i Damjana“ auf dem Hügel Cokovak nahe des Ortes Tkon stammt mit seinem Ursprungsbau bereits aus dem 11. Jahrhundert. Zwischenzeitlich war es verlassen, aber seit 1965 leben hier wieder Mönche und so stellt es heute das einzige aktive Benediktinerkloster Kroatiens dar.

Der Süden der Kornaten bis nach Šibenik

1 Woche: Sukošan – Insel Zlarin – Šibenik – Skradin/Krka-Nationalpark – Insel Piškera – Insel Iz oder Insel Uglijan – Sukošan 

Die Kornaten sind unter Seglern, Naturliebhabern und Tauchern gleichermaßen für die Kalksteinformationen, die unzähligen Buchten und das kristallklare Wasser bekannt und beliebt. Starten Sie auf Ihrer Yachtcharter Sukošan in Ihr persönliches Abenteuer durch die südlichen der Kornateninseln. Die autofreie Insel Zlarin  bietet eine besondere Kulisse für entspanntes Durchatmen. Von der höchsten Erhebung der Insel aus, vom Hügel Klepac, hat man einen tollen Blick auf die Insel und das umgebende Meer. 

Die Insel Žirje , die südlichste der Kornateninseln, wurde durch ihre äußere Lage bereits im 6. Jahrhundert als Wachposten genutzt. Von diesen Verteidigungsanlagen ist aber nur noch wenig erhalten. Heute wird die Insel hauptsächlich landwirtschaftlich genutzt und ist nur wenig besiedelt. Sie ist auch touristisch kaum erschlossen, allerdings bieten sich hier traumhafte Buchten mit Kies- und Felsenstränden, in manchen von ihnen, besonders auf der Westseite der Insel finden sich auch kleine Konobas und Restaurants. 

Der größten der Kornateninseln, Kornati, sind im Westen viele kleinere Inseln vorgelagert. Viele von ihnen sind unbewohnt, jedoch findet sich auf der Insel Piškera  eine kleine Marina und auch Konobas kann man in einigen Buchten finden. Entdecken Sie die vielen kleinen Buchten und freuen Sie sich auf ungestörte Badetage.

Wer eher Lust auf Stadt hat, findet in  Šibenik  ein sehr lohnenswertes Ziel. Die Stadt liegt in einer fjordartigen Bucht auf dem kroatischen Festland und ist über den Kanal Sveti Ante erreichbar. Sie ist eine der größten Städte Dalmatiens und hat einige Highlights zu bieten. Etwa die venezianische Festungsanlage, welche seit 2017 auf der Liste der UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe geführt wird, oder die Kathedrale des Heiligen Jakobs, ebenfalls ein UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. Weiter gen Süden finden sich an der kroatischen Küste noch weitere interessante Orte wie Primosten mit seiner malerischen Altstadt oder Rogoznica mit dem bekannten Drachenaugensee. Ein lohnenswerter Ausflug von Šibenik aus sind die Krka-Wasserfälle, knapp 20 Kilometer von Šibenik ins Landesinnere im Krka-Nationalpark  gelegen. Sie können bis Skradin mit der Yacht fahren und von dort aus den Nationalpark besuchen, da dieser nicht mit dem Boot befahren werden kann. Insgesamt 7 der 8 Wasserfälle des Flusses Krka liegen auf dem Gebiet des Nationalparks. Auch einige Höhlen finden sich im Nationalpark, etwa die Oziđana-Höhle, in welcher Fundstücke bereits eine Nutzung um 6000 v. Chr. belegen. 

Die gesamte kroatische Adria hat für Segelurlauber traumhafte Reviere zu bieten. Ob Istrien, die Kvarner Bucht, Nord-, Mittel- oder Süddalmatien – in allen Revieren finden sich lohnenswerte Ziele durch eine Vielzahl an historischen Stätten, traumhaften Buchten und Inselgruppen.
