Once you confirm your reservation, your broker will process your payment.

• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is confirmed more than 7 days in advance, a deposit of either $1,000 USD or 50% of the total cost of the reservation (whichever is greater) is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.
• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.

What is the capacity of the yacht.

Our maximum passenger capacity is 12 people, excluding the captain and crew. Our passenger capacity is regulated for your safety on board. Capacities cannot be increased under any circumstances.

Are your vessels Coast Guard certified?

All of our boats are Coast Guard-certified. We maintain our fleet regularly to adhere to strict safety regulations and the latest COVID restrictions.

Booking with us  comes with several unique benefits - the price you pay includes fuel, cleaning, safety training, and access to all of our amenities (including a free lily pad and 2 free inflatable paddleboards!) 

In partnership with BoatSafeChicago, we offer a pre-select group of United States Coastal Guards ("USCG") Captains for you to choose, who are highly trained professionals (licensed, CPR and water rescue certified as well as drug tested regularly)  who will ensure that your boating experience is both safe, incredibly FUN and unforgettable. 

We offer a bareboat charter:

A bareboat charter is where the Charterer (client) has use of a vessel for a period of time 

The Charterer is allowed a max capacity of 12 passengers and you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks

The Charterer will need a licensed captain to operate the boat (LuxeLife Chicago will provide you with a list once you book) .

Captains are paid by you directly and charge $150 per hour (including gratuity)

Your itinerary is completely your choice on the day of the charter! Just tell your captain.

Your itinerary may include the the Chicago River, the “Playpen”, or any location on Lake Michigan within 10 nautical miles from your departure location (docking location). Please note, it can sometimes take 1+ hours to access the river on busy summer days

Please keep the following information in mind when making your reservation.

WHEN AND WHERE?

We charter 3 times per day leaving from Belmont Harbor: 10am - 2pm 2:45pm – 6:45pm 7:30pm – 11:30 pm

Are as low as $250 per hour on weekdays with a 4 hour minimum per session. Please contact us for weekend and Holiday pricing and don't miss out our MONTHLY SPECIALS OFFER (pricing provided upon request)!!! All our Yachts are subject to a $750 Security Deposit; In case of minor expenses or damage, we may claim up to this amount.

Not included in the price, however we will provide you with the pre-approved Captain list to choose from and hire.

Not included in the price and it is $200 for 4-hour session. This fee is collected by the owner upon your booking via QuickPay/Zelle.

We will go boating rain or shine, the only way we will reschedule your reservation is when waves are above 5 feet; In this case you will have an opportunity to reschedule your reservation for another date (based on availability) at no charge.

US Coast Guard regulations

Please note, per US Coast Guard regulations, the Bareboat maximum capacity for rental is 13 passengers plus Captain and we will be able to accommodate only 13 people plus Captain. If you have more than 13 people in your group, we can add another yacht for you.

Frequently Asked Questions How many people does your yacht hold? We are Coast Guard Certified to hold 45 passengers and that includes infants and children. What is your typical cruising route? Upon leaving Burnham Harbor we head north towards Navy Pier going past the planetarium, shed aquarium just after viewing the Museum Campus area. Then were on to Chicago’s Famous Skyline, Buckingham Fountain and after a brief pause to see the fountain we will head further North towards North Avenue Beach passing navy pier and go through Chicago famous “playpen” and turn back towards Burnham Harbor. If you would like to do a river cruise there would be an extra fee and you would have to let us know prior to booking. What is your cancellation policy? Full payment is forfeited should the client, for any reason, decide to cancel. A number of passengers cannot be decreased, however, the number of passengers can be increased at an additional charge. IF the yacht is unable to depart the dock due to weather and/or lake conditions the event will proceed at the dock. Weather condition options to be determined by the captain of Adeline’s Sea Moose. What types of events can be hosted on the yacht? Anything you can think of! Corporate luncheons, client thank yous, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, quinceaneras, family outings, memorial services, post-proms, bachelor and bachelorette parties, fireworks cruises, and architectural tours. The possibilities are endless…. Is there a Captain and crew? Yes. All our yacht charter cruises are fully crewed with Captain, Deckhands and full serving staff as needed.  Can I bring my own food? Yes, for hourly cruises or charters you can BYO food, have food delivered to you at the dock or have it lightly catered. Additional “galley” fees are charged for any of these options. if you’re here on a vacation or liveaboard overnight stays on the yacht it’s a yes. Can I bring my own alcohol? No, we have a liquor license and would need to provide all beverages. We have a variety of packages available and can custom build a bar package, too. Make sure to take a look at our listing images for the bar packages.  Can I swim? Unfortunately, no. We no longer offer swimming packages as our insurance no longer covers people swimming from the yacht.

There are two principle ways to incorporate a boat to your camping plans. Camping with a boat lets you access secluded beaches or islands where you can pitch your tent onshore. Alternatively, boat-in camping means you sleep on your boat . Both ways provide different camping experiences. 

Apostle Islands, Wisconsin

Hop this 22-island archipelago in Wisconsin  which has several beautiful beaches including Julian Bay Beach is renowned for its “singing sands.”  Headover to Sand Island and explore billion-years old sea caves. The Apostle Islands are accessible by boat from Bayfield, Wisconsin. Campsites provide basic amenities, including bear-proof storage and pit toilets.

Cape Lookout, North Carolina

A boat ride three-miles offshore brings you to three natural islands off the coast of North Carolina . Warren Creek/Main Salmon River, Idaho

There are an estimated 6,000 superyachts — vessels that are more than 100 feet long — at sea in 2024

As summer reaches its peak across the Northern Hemisphere, it’s hard to imagine a better way of spending a vacation than channeling your inner ship captain and sailing across the ocean.

In recent years, yacht companies have reported a boom in sales — far from the decline that many in the industry feared, due to both the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic realities of the Russia-Ukraine War.

“I spent my days [in 2020] doing worst-case scenarios and drawing up the budgets to go with them,” Giovanna Vitelli, chairwoman of Azimut|Benetti, the world’s largest yacht manufacturer, told the Economist in 2023.

Instead, her company reported a 23% growth in production value in 2023 —a reality that is not unique to just one yacht manufacturer. The luxury yacht market is expected to grow in value from $7.67 billion in 2023 to $17.33 billion by 2032, according to a recent report from Fortune Business Insights .

Analysts attribute the ships’ rise in popularity to the increasing number of extremely wealthy individuals . Yachts have long been considered a status symbol — a reality that has only increased as wealth becomes concentrated in the hands of a small group of high status individuals .

There are an estimated 6,000 superyachts —vessels that are more than 100 feet long — at sea as of this year. This is nearly quadruple the number of yachts seen in the ocean just three decades ago, according to Bloomberg .

Aside from an increase in popularity, the yacht industry has seen other changes in recent years. Increasingly, those in the market for a luxury ship are turning to alternate means of powering their vessels, as critics point to the excess emissions traditional yachts produce simply for recreational use.

In their 2024 report, Fortune Business Insights highlighted the growing trend of electrification as a significant area of growth in the coming years.

“A tough regulatory environment for traditional yachts and rising fuel prices will pave the way for the solid growth of electric yachts in the future,” the report reads. “Huge investments from various manufacturers and government support measures will accelerate the demand for electric yachts.”

Carinthia VII

Originally constructed in 2002, the award-winning Carinthia VII was recently remodeled and reimagined specifically for private charters. The 319-foot ship spans six decks and can accommodate up to 12 guests in eight staterooms. Among the ship’s amenities are two bars, a fully equipped gym and an outdoor projection screen that allows for an “immersive cinematic experience like no other.” The cost of chartering the Carinthia VII is $1,525,700 during both the winter and summer seasons.

The Lady S yacht boasts a number of exciting water toys, including jet skis, water skis, wakeboards and kayaks for athletic guests on the 305-foot ship. For those who prefer more indoor-oriented activities, however, you can also catch a film on the ship’s IMAX Dolby cinema — the first of its kind on any yacht in the world. Accommodating 12 guests, in seven cabins, the cost of chartering the Lady S begins at $1,743,328 a week.

The interior of the Ahpo yacht seems more reminiscent of a luxury hotel than a simple ship. Accommodating 16 guests and 36 crew members, the vessel features a full-size gym, a winter garden and a spa complete with a Himalayan salt sauna. The 378-foot long yacht was first manufactured in 2021 by the German shipyard Lürssen. Excited sailors can charter the Ahpo from superyacht broker Edmiston, beginning at $2,833,376 a week.

500EXP Para Bellum

This 154-foot-long yacht can accommodate up to 12 travelers in its six cabins, along with up to 10 crew members. The ship was specially designed to enable “guests a 360-degree experience and relationship with the sea” through its unique stern and sundeck that allow travelers to safely stand “almost at sea level,” according to its Italian manufacturer San Lorenzo . Interested travelers can rent the ship for $359,609 a week.

The Renaissance

The Renaissance lives up to its grandiose name by going beyond traditional private yachts and bridging the gap between a personal vehicle and a full-on cruise ship. The 367-foot long ship features five decks and can accommodate 36 guests in 19 cabins. The Renaissance’s amenities include a 19-seat movie theater, a sushi-bar, and a full spa deck featuring a wellness area, plunge pools and a hair salon. The cost of chartering the ship from Burgess Yachts ranges from $3,269,280 to $3,814,160 a week.
