Home: Inside the star yacht of Below Deck Mediterranean season seven

Television network Bravo has confirmed the return of Below Deck spin-off Below Deck Mediterranean as the seventh season wraps up filming in Malta. The hit reality series, which follows a yacht crew over an eight-week charter season, will premiere its new season on July 11 with Captain Sandy Yawn at the helm of an all-new yacht named Home . Take a look inside...

The 50 metre Home was built by Dutch shipyard Heesen in 2017 as a 'home away from home' for her owner. It was one of the first superyachts of its size to feature a hybrid propulsion package, which makes her 48 per cent more efficient than other 50 metre yachts, and is the first diesel-electric motor yacht to appear on Below Deck .

The yacht was started on speculation and construction was already underway when her owner joined the project. Home 's lines were designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects and inspired by another Heesen build, the 50 metre Sibelle . A vertical bow serves a dual purpose, helping the yacht to carve through waves, but also creating more room on the interior to place the crew accommodation. In order to stay under 500GT, Omega created walkaround decks with cut-out bulwarks that offer uninterrupted sea views from each of her two lounges.

The interior was started on spec but wasn't to the tastes of the owner, who brought in designer Cristiano Gatto to rework the design. The new brief was for a modern, comfortable interior; the keyword was simplicity, not minimalism.

Home can sleep up to 12 guests in six cabins: a full-beam master suite can be found on the main deck, while a full-beam VIP cabin, two double cabins and two twins are found on the deck below. The decor takes inspiration from the owner's on-shore properties with a contemporary, "Ibiza-style" feel. Low-slung sofas are featured throughout with a palette comprised of white, black, grey and a deep red.

The sun deck will be a popular spot with guests during the series. There's a sit-up bar shaded by a hard top as well as a Jacuzzi and a dancing pole. A quartet of sun loungers can be found aft with yoga mats tucked underneath, while a projector and a screen set-up can transform the deck into an outdoor cinema.

Another spot for riotous evenings is the sky lounge, which in effect is an extension of the outside deck with beanbags, day beds and teak flooring. The space is serviced by a bar and is a popular spot for lounging in the cool air and taking in the view. Alternatively, the doors to the aft deck can be shut, the furniture removed, a mirror ball and a smoke machine can be added and the area becomes a dedicated party room.

More fun can be found on Home ’s foredeck, in a telescopic seat that rises from the bow, allowing uninterrupted 360-degree views. It can even be used underway if the conditions are right.

Captain Sandy will be joined by returning Below Deck cast member and deckhand Mzi “Zee” Dempers, as well as a trio of new department heads.

Home is currently available for charter with Burgess starting from $245,000 a week. She is also jointly listed for sale with Burgess and Christie Yachts asking €29,500,000.

Meet ‘Home,’ the Sleek 164-Foot Superyacht That Starred in ‘Below Deck’

The 164-footer was not only the backdrop for the reality series but also has hybrid propulsion and a "50 shades of white" interior., julia zaltzman, julia zaltzman's most recent stories.

Superyacht Home by Heesen

The 164-foot motor yacht Home was Heesen’s first hybrid yacht when it delivered in 2017. It was also the first yacht to combine hybrid propulsion with a Fast Displacement Hull Shape (FDHF), which is proven to outperform conventional hull forms at all speeds. Built in lightweight aluminum, Home delivers 48 percent more fuel efficiency than other yachts of the same size.

Another perk of the hybrid propulsion package is reduced noise and vibration. Sensory expert Barry Smith, founder of the Centre for the Study of the Senses, discovered that the enjoyment of fine dining and wine while cruising in electric mode is significantly enhanced.

“Our research has shown that the brain’s processing of taste is affected by noise, which reduces the tongue’s ability to detect salt, sweet and sour,” says Smith. “The beauty of Home is the ability to run at a sound of around 46 decibels—the sound level of softly falling rain—enabling those on board to enjoy food and drink with no diminution of taste.”

Home began as a speculation build by the shipyard, before the American owner stepped in to the project. The initial interior was not to his liking, so he engaged Italian designer Cristiano Gatto to rework the design. He mandated simplicity, rather than minimalism. He also requested decor inspired by his residences, reflecting their contemporary Ibiza style. One perfect example: The slinky metal chaise lounge in the main salon by Italian designer Franco Poli.

Here are 10 facts about one of the world’s first hybrid yachts.

Star of the Med

below deck home yacht cast

Home ’s fortune took a sharp turn in 2022 when it became the star of the seventh season of Below Deck Mediterranean . Filmed in Malta, the reality series followed its crew over an eight-week charter season, with Captain Sandy Yawn at the helm. Unlike most yachts on Below Deck, Home retained its real name on screen. It was the first diesel-electric motor yacht to appear on the show, and in typical style, the producers added a dancing pole to the sundeck to spice up the onboard antics.

50 Shades of White

below deck home yacht cast

Home takes the trend for neutral interiors to a whole new level. Alongside a color palette of black and gray with pops of deep red, the yacht features 50 shades of white, from off-white to ivory. The original owner mandated an interior that gave him a “home away from home”—hence the yacht’s name. Low-slung sofas and bespoke loose furniture create a relaxed and welcoming beach club ambience. The vessel’s teak flooring and full-height glass windows blur the distinction between inside and out.

Party Lounge

below deck home yacht cast

One of Heesen’s signature areas is an upper-deck sky lounge. Home ’s casual bean bags, daybeds, and stark-white bar with LED strip lighting provide a natural extension to the alfresco dining terrace. When the doors to the aft deck are shut and the furniture removed, a mirror ball and a smoke machine are added turning the area into a dedicated party room for nighttime use.

A Dreamier Shade of Pale

below deck home yacht cast

Full-height windows in the full-beam, main deck owner’s suite bounce natural light off the paler-than-pale color scheme. The off-white bed, rug, walls, and ceiling are offset with a sky-blue bed throw. There is a dressing room, an en suite with shower and a private office. There’s also a full-beam VIP cabin on the lower deck, as well as two double cabins and two twin cabins to accommodate 12 guests, including families.

Moody Sundeck

Home ’s sundeck is the hub of the boat. There are sun lounges forward with privacy glass safety screens to shelter guests from sea spray and wind. Beneath the hardtop bimini is a large sit-up bar and lounge area, which also doubles as an outdoor dining area. The bar lights up in soft pastel shades at night to bring the party atmosphere. Aft is a Jacuzzi, while a projector and a screen set-up transform the deck into an outdoor cinema.

On the Nose

below deck home yacht cast

The yacht is easily spotted on the horizon, thanks to its distinctive plumb bow. The vertical front increases Home ’s waterline length, helping it to slice through waves and lift in rougher water. It guarantees a smoother and faster ride for guests, as well as creating more room on the interior for crew accommodations. For a more immersive journey, a telescopic seat on the foredeck rises from the bow for 360-degree views.

Sea Terrace

below deck home yacht cast

A central staircase on the main deck aft leads down to an oversized swim platform that doubles as a sea-level sun lounge. With plenty of room for daybeds and sunrise yoga sessions, it’s the perfect waterside hang out.

The Athletic Club

below deck home yacht cast

The lower-deck gym is a full-beam, air-conditioned space for guests to sweat it out. It’s kitted out with a range of equipment, including a workout bench, Techno Gym dumbbells, an exercise bike, and a rowing machine. When guests are done with their workout, they’re just a few steps from the sea for the ultimate plunge to cool off.

The Electric Package

The twin 805 hp MTU engines (smaller than those typically fitted on a yacht of this size) can be operated in four different cruising modes: hybrid (with noise levels in the owner’s stateroom measuring as low as 46 decibels), economic, cruising (consuming as little as 12 gallons per hour at 9 knots), and boost, which pushes the boat to a top speed of 16.8 knots.

Fast, Efficient Hull

At the time of launch, Home was the first yacht to combine the super efficiency of an FDHF hull, designed by Van Oosenan Naval Architects, with hybrid propulsion. The combination was celebrated with a RINA green award presented by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Here’s What the Cast of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Is Currently Up to Now

Are Jenna and Adam still together?

below deck sailing yacht season 1

From a spontaneous proposal failing spectacularly to a joke about being breastfed as an adult, Sailing Yacht was as much a dramatic success as the other franchises. It also left fans wondering about what's happening to the crew since the show wrapped. Did chief stew Jenna and chef Adam stay together? What's going on with Georgia's music? And most important—is Captain Glenn really as cool as we think he is?

Here's what the cast of Below Deck: Sailing Yacht is up to now:

Jenna MacGillivray

When the Canadian stepped onto the Parsifal III, fans got exactly what they hoped for in a chief stew—a no-nonsense leader who also had a romantic spot in her heart for the chef in the galley. Though her relationship with Adam Glick proved to be tumultuous, the two dated for some time after the season wrapped, even taking some time to road-trip together.

These days, Jenna is enjoying some time off from yachting, but given her recent IG pics, she's excited to come back to another charter season.

Madison Stalker

Wherever Madison went, drama always seemed to follow the second stew during season one of Below Deck: Sailing Yacht . In between epic meltdowns (including a major one between her and Jenna over her lack of enthusiasm for her job), she left the boat a better person and leaving fans ready to see more from their new favorite cast member.

Judging by her Instagram account, she's taken a break from yachting (perhaps until next season of the show).

Georgia Grobler

As good of a third stew Georgia was on deck, fans were more invested in her budding music career and growing feelings for a very taken Paget. She proved she was great at her job and could make a career out of yachting.

While it's unclear whether she stayed in the yachting industry post- Sailing Yacht , Georgia's working on music, premiering new music videos on IGTV during the quarantine.

Below Deck Med fans were so excited when Adam joined the crew as the chef for Sailing Yacht . While he abided by the preference sheets this time around, he also began a rocky romance with chief stew Jenna, making most of the crew members wonder if he was there for his job or the girl.

Since the show wrapped, Adam's busy onshore, cooking, and traveling with his adorable puppy. Oh, and Adam has a web series, Stoked , where he travels across the country to meet with local chefs and learn about their regions... all while over a campfire.

Paget Berry and Ciara Duggan

If there was any couple to root for from the entire Below Deck franchise, it's Paget and Ciara. The duo made a great team on deck, and mostly kept their relationship to a minimum on cameras—a first for Bravo! As they were the most familiar with the Parsifal III, the couple was the most reliable, and fans loved seeing their relationship continue blossoming post-filming.

These days, the couple has a lot to be excited about—they're now engaged. While they're soaking up their romantic bliss, they're also still working in yachting, although it's sadly on separate boats.

Byron Hissey

As the chief engineer of Parsifal III, Byron was clearly there to just do his job. But, given how he was the only cast member to have a wife and child back home, he also became the dad of the group, taking care of the other crew members.

Since filming wrapped, it looks like Byron is back on a boat doing exactly what he does best—fixing and making sure the engines run smoothly.

Parker McCown

Relatively new to the yachting industry, fans are more likely to remember the deckhand for his enraged rant about being breastfed by his mother. While he didn't necessarily have all the skills to make it as a deckhand, he definitely had a soft spot for his ex-girlfriend Kaiti, whom he eventually left Parsifal III to go back to at home.

It looks like the decision to leave the show worked out for Parker, as he's now engaged to Kaiti and writing some tunes while onshore.

Chris Miller

As Parker's replacement for the latter half of the season, Chris proved a great deckhand and an asset to the team, all while battling an injury.

These days, Chris seems to be taking some time off from yachting to travel across Europe.

Captain Glenn Sheppard

Captain Glenn was tough, fair, and not afraid to have a good time, which both crew and guests very much appreciated.

Thankfully, his reality TV experience hasn't turned him off yachting forever. Glenn is still the captain for Parsifal III and traveling through the Mediterranean.

Yes, You Can Really Charter Below Deck Med ’s New Superyacht, Home

Renting or buying Season 7’s new vessel won’t come cheap though.

"Home", the new yacht from 'Below Deck: Mediterranean' is available to rent or buy.

When Captain Sandy Yawn and her all-new crew set sail on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7, they’ll be in uncharted territory aboard a new superyacht, Home . While cruising the pristine waters of Malta, Captain Sandy was working for the first time on the 163-foot motor yacht, which Bravo described as a “complex hybrid vessel” that the Below Deck Med vet found to be “more unpredictable to navigate.” As the show’s Season 7 trailer previewed, Home won’t make it through the charters entirely unscathed either: In one clip, Captain Sandy laments that she hit something for the first time in her career, while another scene teases a potential “crashing” incident.

Rest assured that there weren’t any serious accidents because Home is currently available for charter in the Caribbean region at a cost ranging from $245,000 to $273,000 per week , depending on the season. Meanwhile, Home — the first diesel-electric motor yacht to appear on Below Deck — is also listed for sale with an asking price of just over $30.8 million. Per the listings, the superyacht, which Dutch shipyard Heesen built in 2017, sleeps up to 12 guests in six cabins and features contemporary, “Ibiza-style” decor. Among Home ’s many amenities are a large sun deck, jacuzzi, swim platform, air-conditioned gym, and sky lounge.

Home also sleeps up to 10 crew members. In Below Deck Med Season 7 , that includes Captain Sandy, returning Season 6 deckhand Mzi “Zee” Dempers, and newcomers: chief stew Natasha Webb, chef Dave White, bosun Raygan Tyler, stews Natalya Scudder and Kyle Viljoen, and deckhands Storm Smith and Jason Gaskell. Following her involvement in Hannah Ferrier’s mid-Season 5 firing, Malia White cited a scooter accident and pending exams — not fan backlash — as her reasons for not returning for Season 7. (“It’s not that I might never come back to the show,” Malia told Showbiz Cheat Sheet in May. “I’m just not on the next season.”)

Season 7’s “new boat with new department heads” might bring Captain Sandy some challenges during her “first time ever in Malta,” but she’s naturally ready to face them all head-on. The network also told viewers to expect “outrageous costumes, wild nights out, and some major inter-departmental drama,” which “doesn’t even cover what the charter guests are going to bring in the new season.”

As always, expect plenty of romance at sea, too. As Bravo’s first look teased, “boatmances” will be a major topic of conversation this season, including flirtations between Natalya and Storm, as well as several questions about the true nature of Natasha and Dave’s relationship. There could even be a fling between a crew member and a charter guest, too. Though Bravo is premiering the series on July 11, Peacock subscribers can access new Below Deck Med Season 7 episodes a week early beginning July 4.

Fans can also experience Home for themselves off-screen — but it will cost way more than their monthly cable bills.

Meet the Below Deck season 10 cast: who's who in the Bravo series

It's time to meet the cast of the superyacht St. David.

Below Deck season 10 key art

It's time to set sail on the largest boat in Below Deck history! Below Deck season 10 features the massive 197-foot superyacht St. David with Captain Lee, the "Stud of the Sea" at the helm.

In the 10th season of the beloved Bravo franchise, the St. David calls the port of St. Lucia home. Captain Lee has two familiar faces with him this season in Chef Rachel Hargrove and Chief Stew Fraser Olender. Together they'll navigate a new crew.

Bravo has provided brief bios for the returning crew members as well as the newcomers. So let's get to know the cast of Below Deck season 10!

Captain Lee Rosbach

Below Deck season 10

"Captain Harold Lee Rosbach has spent more than three decades in the yachting industry. Born and raised in landlocked Michigan, he discovered his untapped love for the water while managing restaurants in Turks & Caicos. It was then that an acquaintance invited him to serve as a mate on a sailboat delivery to earn extra cash. At 35, Lee obtained his captain's license and left the restaurant business behind to pursue his newfound passion. Since then, the Running Against The Tide author has commanded more than a dozen super yachts. Lovingly known as the 'Stud of the Sea,' Lee values the special bonds he forms on deck and always puts the safety of everyone on board above all else. Lee is excited to return to the Caribbean this season with familiar faces Chef Rachel Hargrove and Chief Stew Fraser Olender as he adjusts to new super yacht, St. David."

Rachel Hargrove, chef

Chef Rachel Hargrove on Below Deck season 10

"Originally from Tampa, Fla., Rachel Hargrove is a cosmopolitan yacht chef with an extensive repertoire of culinary skills. Although predominantly self-taught, Rachel attended the Culinary Institute of America and held an apprenticeship at the Michelin-starred restaurant Quatro Passi in Nerano, Italy. After spending time in Thailand, Japan, India and Italy to expand her craft, Rachel revels in her wide range of cuisines — from molecular gastronomy to gluten-free pasta, she is unphased by almost any charter guest preference sheet. A talented and experienced chef, Rachel admits her demanding professionalism can be polarizing to others. No matter their opinion, Rachel is always sure to stand her ground on deck."

Fraser Olender, chief stew

Fraser Olender in Below Deck season 10

"With a passion for luxury hospitality and travel, it was a no-brainer for Fraser to join the yachting industry four years ago. He got his start on a motor yacht in Naples, Italy, and has never looked back. Prior to yachting, Fraser worked in commercial bookings for leading model agencies in London. In the off-season, he loves to travel to picturesque destinations, staying at the world's finest hotels with the dream to one day open his own. Returning to the Caribbean to work under Captain Lee again, Fraser is thrilled to be chief stew on St. David. However, when the charter guests get too demanding, he must prove his worth as a department lead."

Ross McHarg, bosun

Ross McHarg on Below Deck season 10

"Leading the deck team this season is Bosun Ross McHarg. Originally from the UK, the British yachtie has spent the last 15 years living all over the world. Most recently, his travels have landed him in Asia, where he has set up base. Twelve years ago, Ross found yachting through teaching ski seasons in Europe and abandoned the snow for the sand without a second thought. With his love of travel and meeting new people, yachting was the perfect career move. A seasoned bosun, Ross brings experience and wisdom to his team, but his flirty ways get him in hot water with the crew."

Luis Antonio 'Tony' Duarte, deckhand

Tony Duarte in Below Deck season 10

"Originally from Costa Rica, deckhand Luis Antonio 'Tony' Duarte is no stranger to the seas. An adrenaline junkie, Tony has experience as a dive master in South Africa, whale-watching guide in Costa Rica and a zip-liner in the Bahamas. When he's not working in beautiful, remote locations, Tony enjoys surfing, fishing and cliff jumping. A man of nomadic nature with a passion for travel, Tony adventures from place to place but is looking forward to calling St. David his home for the charter season. With prior experience on smaller boats, Tony welcomes the challenge aboard his first super yacht."

Ben Willoughby, deckhand

Ben Willoughby in Below Deck season 10

"Born and raised on the Gold Coast of Australia, deckhand Ben Willoughby is a self-described 'ocean child at heart.' Inspired by a childhood friend's yachtie lifestyle, Ben first took to the high seas in 2020 when he joined a mega yacht crew in France. Combining his passion for fitness with his love of the water, Ben has worked as both a deckhand and personal trainer on yachts for the past three years. A social guy who firmly believes 'a Pina Colada is always a good decision,' Ben is eager to bring the party onboard. This thrill-seeking Aussie is determined to stand out on the deck of the St. David."

Hayley De Sola Pinto, stew

Hayley de Sola Pinto in Below Deck season 10

"Hailing from Cornwall, England, charismatic new stew Hayley De Sola Pinto is excited to cruise the Caribbean waters. During most of the year, Hayley is an advanced aesthetics practitioner for her self-built business Classen Aesthetics. Her love of travel and meeting new people has led her to work on and off yachts since she was 23. With her humor and empathetic personality, Hayley specializes in making charter guests feel welcome and at home on St. David. However, her admittedly loud and over-the-top personality often gets her into the mix of drama onboard."

Katie Glaser, deckhand

Katie Glaser in Below Deck season 10

"Deckhand Katie Glaser first fell in love with the glamorous and fast-paced yachting industry when she moved from Colorado to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Since starting her boating career as a stew three years ago, Katie has built an extensive resume as a deckhand and first mate on a variety of yachts. While Katie has worked in different corporate fields, including IT recruiting, account management and beverage sales, she has always had an affinity for the service industry. Katie spends nearly as much time in the water as she does on it, being a fan of snorkeling, wakeboarding and swimming. Always up for an adventure, this extroverted yachtie is eager to prove she has what it takes."

Alissa Humber, stew

Alissa Humber in Below Deck season 10

"A born and bred Floridian, Alissa Humber found herself diving headfirst into yachting just over two years ago. Now residing in Miami, Alissa spends her time working as a stew on temporary yacht jobs. During the off season, Alissa loves to shop and is enamored by the gorgeous, colorful fashion in her city. She also embraces nature and enjoys kayaking or hiking in the Sunshine State. Working as a stew aboard St. David, Alissa prides herself on pleasing the charter guests and ensuring they have the best time onboard. However, when conflict emerges between her and another stew, tensions rise amongst the entire crew."

Camille Lamb, deckhand/stew

Camille Lamb in Below Deck season 10

"Coming from a family of merchant mariners, boating has always been in Camille’s blood. With sailing experience since she was 9, Camille is a natural-born yachtie with a love for the water, the beach and traveling. An avid singer and songwriter as well, Camille competed on American Idol last year. Upon her elimination, Camille found herself lost and returned to her roots on the water. With just her sailing experience from childhood, Camille secured a position on a day-charter yacht in the Virgin Islands. Since then, Camille has had more formal yachting training under her belt with work experience in Miami and Los Angeles. Camille joins St. David this season working both on deck and inside the yacht as a deck/stew, but when she's split between the two departments, she loses motivation on board."

Below Deck season 10 airs on Mondays on Bravo, with new episodes streaming on Peacock the next day in the US and on Hayu in the UK.

Here's Your First Look at the Cast of 'Below Deck' Season 7

Oct. 7 2019, Updated 4:56 p.m. ET

There has to be a word above gratitude that describes the way we feel not having to wait a single week between Below Deck Med 's truly unforgettable fourth season aboard the Sirocco and the new season of OG Below Deck .

The new Below Deck Season 7 cast is going to make some serious waves.

Set in Thailand this time around, Season 7 is welcoming some new and old faces aboard a familiar superyacht, Valor, which guests might already recognize from Seasons 4 and 5. Needless to say, you already know you can find us watching Bravo every Monday at 9 p.m. for the foreseeable future.

Now, without further ado, here's your first look at the Below Deck Season 7 new cast .

1. Captain Lee Rosbach

We think it's important to start with the VIPs and familiar faces (after all, Below Deck never lets viewers forget how it all comes down to rank when one's at sea), which is why Captain Lee Rosbach is first in line.

Captain Lee has been with the Bravo reality hit since Day 1, and can we remind you all that he is known in maritime circles as the Stud of the Sea ? HOT, we know.

Follow the Captain on Instagram here .

2. Kate Chastain

Chief Stew and HBIC Kate Chastain is also returning for her sixth trip with Captain Lee, and from the looks of Season 7 sneak peeks, she is about to reach the end of her line. "Go find another chief stew," she says at one point to fellow Below Deck alum Ashton Pienaar. "I quit."

Is she full of empty threats or will we actually be seeing Valor cruise around Thailand without our favorite stewardess?

Follow Kate on Instagram here .

3. Ashton Pienaar

"I think we have the most attractive deck crew I've ever worked with," Kate says in a preview ahead of the season.

When it comes to heading the exterior team, Ashton Pienaar is the new man in charge. Hailing from Johannesburg, South Africa, we first met Ashton last season when he fell overboard and scared the entire crew of My Seanna.

This time around, he's been promoted from deckhand to bosun and we can't wait to see what the season has in store for him.

Follow Ashton on Instagram here .

4. Simone Mashile

Also a native of South Africa is second stewardess Simone Mashile, who has a degree in mathematics and held an office job before leaving her 9-to-5 for maritime adventures, as many Below Deck crew members are wont to do.

Now that she's made her dream of traveling a reality, she jumps around the French Riviera as a stewardess and sous chef and lives by the motto: "I am the master of my destiny, I am the captain of my soul." Sounds inspiring! Let's see if the rest of the crew members think so as well.

Follow Simone on Instagram here .

5. Courtney Skippon

Courtney rounds out the interior team as the third stewardess, and she got started in yachting after moving to France with the intention of attending business school. When she needed some income to supplement her lifestyle as a student in Paris, she landed on a charter boat and the rest is history.

Now, she's left her business days behind her and has been focusing on yachting as her new career passion.

Follow Courtney on Instagram here .

6. Brian de Saint Pern

Lead deckhand Brian de Saint Pern grew up in South Africa as well, so we can't wait for the mix of accents aboard the Valor (honestly, aren't the accents half the reason we watch?) this season.

Brian has been yachting for four years, and started surfing, swimming and playing water polo way before that. Since he decided to pursue yachting, he's been working on charter vessels along the Mediterranean, and is looking to earn his First Mate/Officer certification.

On a personal level, he has a 5-year-old daughter, Micah.

Follow Brian on Instagram here .

7. Tanner Sterback

Deckhand Tanner has always been free-spirited, athletic, and in love with the ocean, so he sounds really well primed to join the exterior team on Valor this season. He grew up in Long Island, then moved to California to pursue the surfer lifestyle and worked as a lifeguard at the Coppola Winery.

Soon, he decided to trade in the surf for a more stable career that would still give him the chance to travel and explore, which is how he got started in yachting. When he's not on board, he can be seen traveling in a van with his adorable dog Tito.

Follow Tanner on Instagram here .

8. Abbi Murphy

Preview clips already show deckhand Abbi hooking up with her boss Ashton, so we are eager to see how that is going to play itself out over the rest of the season. Tensions are even higher considering the fact that we see Ashton ask Captain Lee to let him continue the charters with a man down on the exterior midseason, so we're wondering if the yacht romance led to professional differences, or if Ashton is referring to someone else entirely.

Either way, Abbi was a lawyer before she took a sailing vacation around Greece that changed her life. After that, she quit her job at a law firm and decided to dedicate her time to learning how to sail. Outside of being a deckhand on Below Deck , she works as a first mate in Greece with the same company that attracted her to sailing.

Follow Abbi on Instagram here .

9. Kevin Dobson

Lastly but perhaps most importantly aboard the Valor is chef Kevin Dobson, who's from Lake Tekapo, New Zealand. We haven't heard his name much in the preview clips for the season, which bodes well for Kevin considering the long lineage of chefs we saw come and go from Season 4 of Below Deck Med .

Considering he started his culinary career at age 14 and has moved up the ranks of the hospitality world, we expect things will be smooth sailing for Kevin. When he's not out yachting, the chef is based out of Melbourne, where he tries to spend as much time as he can with his baby daughter.

Kevin isn't on Instagram but we're excited to see his creations on board!

New episodes of Below Deck air Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.

‘Below Deck Med’ Season 9: What is Arthur Blank’s net worth? Home Depot Billionaire’s yacht 'Dreamboat' featured on show

ATHENS, GREECE: Arthur Blank, a prominent American entrepreneur, gained notoriety for his role as a co-founder of the popular home improvement store, The Home Depot. According to Forbes, his staggering net worth amounts to $8.3 billion.

Arthur Morris Blank and Bernie Marcus founded Home Depot in 1978 after they were dismissed from their positions at a local hardware store. Following his retirement as co-chairman of Home Depot in 2001, Arthur purchased the Atlanta Falcons for $545 million in 2002, with his ownership stake now valued at $2.2 billion.

The business tycoon also introduced professional soccer to Atlanta through Atlanta United FC, a Major League Soccer team that began playing in March 2017. In August 2017, both of his teams relocated to the new $1.5 billion Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which served as the venue for the 2019 Super Bowl.

Arthur is the proud owner of a lavish superyacht called 'Dreamboat', which comes with a hefty price tag. This luxurious vessel which he bought in 2019 was recently showcased in the most recent episode of the popular Bravo show 'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 9.

The Dreamboat Yacht, originally referred to as Project Y716, was expertly crafted by the well-known yacht builder Oceanco. Its stunning exterior was designed by the esteemed yacht designer Espen Oeino, while the opulent interior was created by Terence Disdale.

With a capacity to accommodate up to 23 guests and a dedicated crew of 33, the Dreamboat offers a top-of-the-line yachting experience. The yacht's official name, dreAMBoat, is believed to be a nod to its owner, Arthur Blank, as it likely incorporates his initials. The estimated value of Arthur Blank's yacht, Dreamboat, is an astounding US$ 200,000,000.

What are Arthur Blank's other business endeavors?

Arthur Blank is involved in various business ventures, including his role as chairman of AMB Group, which owns both the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United. Additionally, he leads the Arthur Blank Family Foundation and holds a position on the board of trustees at Emory University.

In a generous display of philanthropy, Arthur donated $200 million through his foundation towards the construction of the new Children's Healthcare of Atlanta hospital, which is set to bear his name upon its opening in 2025.

Is Arthur Blank married?

Arthur Blank has been married and divorced multiple times throughout his life. His first marriage was to philanthropist Diana Latow, and together they had three children: Kenny, Dena, and Danielle. Unfortunately, the couple ended their marriage in 1993.

The Home Depot co-founder then found love again with Stephanie Wray, whom he met while she was working as a designer at an Atlanta Home Depot. They had three children together - Joshua, Max, and Kylie - before ultimately divorcing in 2014.

Following his second divorce, Blank married Angela Macuga, a businesswoman much younger than him in 2016. However, their relationship also ended in separation in 2019, leading to a divorce soon after.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

The 7 biggest below deck villains of 2024, ranked, 90 day fiancé: who is michael ilesanmi's rumored girlfriend cheetah.

  • Ashton transitioned into a fitness influencer post-Below Deck and started his own coaching business.
  • Ashton became sober after realizing his drinking problem on the show, celebrating over a year of sobriety.
  • In 2022, Ashton got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Sarah, whom he surprised with a proposal at an airport.

Ashton Pienaar joined the cast of Below Deck seasons 6 and 7, and he has completely changed his life since. During his first season on the Bravo series, Ashton was one of the deckhands and was promoted to Bosun in his second season. In the beginning, Ashton was more likable on Below Deck - especially after his near-death experience when his foot got caught in a tow-line and dragged into the water. Luckily, a cameraman was standing by and jumped into the ocean to save him.

However, Ashton didn't have the same luck the following season. The fans started to turn on the Bosun when he began drinking heavily on the nights out. In fact, throughout the season, Ashton targeted Chief Stew Kate Chastain and belligerently lashed out at her. As a result of his anger, he punched the inside of the van door while on their way back to their mega-yacht, Valor. Ashton never returned to the Bravo series, with Captain Lee Rosbach claiming he wouldn't want to work with him again.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Ashton Became A Fitness Influencer Post-Below Deck

Working out is his new job.

Since leaving the Bravo series after Below Deck season 7 , Ashton has started taking up fitness coaching with his company AP Elite . According to Ashton's Instagram page, titled The Yo-Yo Diet Recovery Coach, he works as a trainer and helps people worldwide eat healthier and stay on track with their exercise routine . He started the company shortly after his last season of Below Deck ended, as he felt the need to improve himself. For example, in the season 7 reunion, he expressed remorse regarding how he treated Kate and his deckhand, Rhylee Gerber.

Ashton Became Sober After Below Deck

He realized he had an issue with drinking.

After watching the season's episodes, Ashton realized he had a drinking problem . Shortly before the reunion, he decided to become sober . In 2021, the fitness guru celebrated his first full year of sobriety. The yachtie added that the decision to appear on Below Deck initially " was an easy decision " for him as he " was 100% confident in the person " he was at the time.

After going through a near-death experience on the yacht, Ashton returned for another season and became the person he never wanted to be. Now that he is over three years sober, Ashton is working towards becoming " a brother to look up to and a son to be proud of ." As of 2024, it seems Aston has continued with his sobriety journey .

Ashton Is Engaged

He got engaged in 2022.

In September 2022, Ashton revealed that he proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Sarah McAlpine Cooper , and she said yes. Ashton uploaded a video to his Instagram page at the time, showing a video of the pair in an airport and with him surprising her on bended knee. Sarah was clearly shocked and immediately started crying.

And for you @sarahmcalpine.[...] My love and respect for you grows with every passing day. I am honored to call you my fiancé!

There are epic heroes and hated villains in the world of Below Deck. Here are some of the biggest Below Deck villains from 2024, ranked.

It's unclear when the pair started dating, but it was likely after Ashton returned from his final Below Deck season. The couple hasn't shared any wedding pictures, so they likely aren't married yet. However, Sarah did share a photo of Aston on his birthday in June, calling him her " husband " in the caption . Neither Sarah nor Aston have officially confirmed their marital status.

What Is Ashton Up To In 2024?

Ashton is a family man now.

In 2024, Aston is living his best life. He has overcome his time on Below Deck and looks back on it with fond memories and a time when he learned a lot of life lessons. Not only is he engaged to the love of his life, but his fitness business is booming.

Ashton now lives in North Carolina with his fiancé Sarah and their adorable dog Bogey . The pair got their dog in November 2023, who was just a little puppy at the time. Since then, Ashton and Sarah have provided little Bogey with an amazing home. On his Instagram, one can find Ashton golfing, giving exercise tips, and, of course, spending time with his soon-to-be-wife. Ashton even spent the Fourth of July in Charleston, South Carolina, with his new adorable family.

It seems Ashton has grown for the better since appearing on Below Deck . Those days may be behind him, and Ashton is looking forward to a future as a better man for his fiancé. As for his chances of returning to the Bravo series, Ashton will likely never return as his days as a Below Deck Bosun are over.

Below Deck is available to stream on Peacock.

Jaw-dropping cost behind retrieving and attaching anchor to yacht leaves fans in shock

Below Deck cast members don’t just serve glamorous yacht-goers, they retrieve and attach anchors, clean up after guests, and receive a pretty hefty tip. They also provide serious drama – and we love it.

Captain Sandy Yawn has dropped the crazy amount it costs to retrieve and attach an anchor to a yacht. The Below Deck captain may have let slip the costs, but fans have only been left confused.

Below Deck captain drops anchor cost

Below Deck captain, Sandy Yawn, revealed it costs more than $40K to attach and retrieve and anchor on a yacht. The windless was experiencing an issue, meaning it wasn’t pulling the anchor up properly.

She decides to leave the anchor, running the risk of losing it. They put a buoy on the chain so it can be retrieved later. After docking at the marina, Sandy and the team were reunited with their anchor.

A message on the screen pointed out that the entire anchor retrieval and reattachment process came out to $40,419.93. Sandy claimed the operation is “smooth” and involves divers floating the anchor up.

Bravo fans ‘confused’ over anchor

When Sandy attached an anchor on Below Deck, fans were left confused and missed the part where they fixed the windless before doing so. The anchor was cut off to be retrieved later.

However, when the crew have docked and the anchor returned, they just started winding it onto the windless – or so fans thought. It was quick to miss, but they did actually fix the broken windless.

One viewer asked, “Did they fix it and not show it? or did they just not fix it and are still going to use it in the broken state?” However, a crew came on board to fix it before the anchor was retrieved.

Yachties earn a hefty tip aboard

Although it costs thousands just to attach and retrieve an anchor, Below Deck cast members earn a huge tip. Guests are asked to tip a minimum of $15K (£11.5K) on top of the costs of renting the yacht.

The crew can actually receive anywhere from $15,000 to $30,000 to share in tip money for a three-day charter, which is basically enough for a down payment on a house!

While an average tip is between $15,000-$20,000, it doesn’t seem much when you compare it to how much charter guests pay. It costs $275,000 which goes up to $310,000 in high season.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Gary King behavior may prevent season five from airing

Below deck sailing yacht's gary king is being blamed for the delay in season five episodes..

Gary King

The crew members from Bravo ’s Below Deck shows are no strangers to controversy, but one star’s behavior may be putting a filmed season of his show on the line.

Sexual misconduct scandals plagued Below Deck Down Under, leading to the dismissal of cast members , and others with surprising histories and back stories also found themselves on the chopping block at points as well.

However, crew members from Below Deck Sailing Yacht have been left with more questions than answers about their future–and not because of complicated romances.

  • Below Deck star issued warning to fitire crewmates after failed romance
  • Below Deck fans are curious to know just how old Captain Kerry Titheradge is

Gary King from the show was accused of sexual misconduct by makeup artist Samantha Suarez in 2023–but still remains attached to the show, with the only known consequences being his removal from BravoCon.

However, while he hasn’t officially been fired, his alleged actions are potentially keeping the already filmed fifth season from airing.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Suarez told Rolling Stone in August 2023 that King had allegedly tried to force himself on her during the show’s season four production, which filmed in Sardinia, Italy , in 2022.

King has continually denied the allegations. Eagle-eyed fans noticed he seemingly got defensive about the situation in the comments on his latest Instagram post, where someone commented he had done something "against someone’s will," and he quickly responded.

“Against their will, what the f--k are you talking about never have I nor will I ever do anything against anyone’s will, get a life and go talk s–t somewhere else. Ps f--k off,” he wrote.

On Reddit , fans weren't buying, though, saying he would “never take responsibility” for any of his alleged actions.

Gary King

“This is the same guy who kept saying Mads lied to him, made him look like an idiot and that she ‘never said anything about their relationship being just casual’, and that she lead him on,” one person wrote. “Cuts to production literally showing all instances where Mads said to him that it was just sex for her. He will never take responsibility for his behavior or actions.”

“Gary just doesn’t get it. He has horrible impulse control issues around women, but for some reason, otherwise perfectly lovely women like Mads and Daisy reward and reinforce Gary’s aggressive arm-grabbing, barreling into and clotheslining around their necks. They like him, and that’s their business,” another said. “So in his rather simple mind, he thinks he can act like that with all women, and he’s confused when women don’t like it and find him repulsive.”

“He can say what he wants, but the bottom line is that the show is now in jeopardy of being canceled (Sailing not BD). That would not be happening if Bravo didn’t feel like the heat of liability is out there,” another pointed out.

“It;s really sad because loads of us have waited months for the new season and there’s the potential of it not happening because of f---ng scummy Gary! He’s hurt someone, and he’s not taken our show potentially off the air. I’ve seen his comments, and it’s hundreds of people defending him! It’s disgusting!” another said.

Gary King

“So obviously, Gary got paid for season 5 if its already been recorded, I wonder if they fine him any his salary or if they make him give a portion to charity,” they added. “Or is it just ‘keep the money, don’t call us ever again!”

Bravo has not addressed the allegations against Gary, or what has kept the show’s fifth season off the air.

Why  Below Deck  Guest Trishelle Cannatella Is "Not Ashamed" of Her Nude  Playboy  Pics

Below deck mediterranean  guest trishelle cannatella got candid about her time posing for  playboy , saying she's proud of how good she looked..

Trishelle Cannatella  is happy to talk about what she's done in the real world.

While enjoying a stunning vacation as a guest on this season's  Below Deck Mediterranean , the reality star addressed her past posing for  Playboy  after the topic was brought up by fellow guest  Marsha   Doll  on the July 8 episode.

Marsha was curious if any of the other guests had "ever seen" photos of Trishelle from her time as a  Playboy  model. And instead of shying away from her past, the 44-year-old doubled down on how proud she is.

"I'm definitely not ashamed of it," she replied to the group, "because I looked good."

And Trishelle—who has been  married to fighter pilot  John Hensz  since 2017 —took a moment to compliment her looks, adding, "My boobies are generational."

Before beginning her career as a reality TV contestant, she spent several years posing for  Playboy , as well as for its online Playboy Cyber Club. And while these days she's more well known for her onscreen challenges, the  Real World   star has definitely been an open book about her past—including her dating life.

In fact, during a 2021 visit to  Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen , the host asked  The Traitors  alum if she'd ever hooked up with  Leonardo DiCaprio . And while she was shy to answer at first, she did give the real answer while playing a game of Never Have I Ever, taking a huge swig of her drink when Andy said, "Never have I ever hooked up with Leonardo DiCaprio."

Andy was obviously delighted by the declaration, clapping and replying, "Yes! Good for you."

But Trishelle had a different take on things, joking, "Good for him!"

For more from this season's cast of  Below Deck Mediterranean , keep reading.
