This well maintained and updated Bristol 32 is a classic, seaworthy cruiser. "Danny Marie" is a masthead sloop with a keel/centerboard configuration, and she's in excellent, ready to sail condition. Her minimum draft of 3 ft 6 in is ideal for the shallow waters of the Chesapeake. Auxiliary power is provided by a reliable 15 HP Yanmar 2QM15 diesel engine (oil and fuel filters recently replaced). Standing and running rigging are in great condition. The current owner installed a new fully battened main sail and Bimini three years ago, new lazy jacks two years ago, and a new dodger just one year ago.

The cabin, which is beautifully finished in teak, features a v-berth, a marine head, hanging locker, and a spacious saloon with a drop-down table, which converts to a comfortable berth (see pictures). There's also a nice galley to starboard. You'll have the tankage for extended cruising with a 100-gallon freshwater tank, a 26-gallon fuel tank and a 20-gallon holding tank. This is a very capable coastal cruiser that's priced below market value. If you’re looking for a seaworthy classic in fantastic condition, this is a must-see sailboat.

This 1987 Gulf Cutter Sailboat is in very good condition and everything works according to the seller. The Halyards were updated in October 2019. The Autopilot was repaired and updated this year, 2020. Stock #268604 2 Wheel Steering Stations, Auto Pilot, Roller Furling Jib! This 1987 Gulf Cutter Sailboat is 1 of 400 built in the USA by Gulf Marine Products/Capital Yachts, Inc. Bill Garden designed the perfect Pacific Northwest cruiser when he drew up the Gulf 32. There are 2 steering stations, one on the stern and one inside the cabin. With her inside steerage, she is ready for the coldest wettest days, and with her rather large and open cockpit she offers up the world to you when the conditions are amazing. The cockpit provides you access to the storage compartments, wheel steering pedestal with auxiliary controls. The owner reports this Gulf is easy to sail single-handed. The full-length keel holds the course when sailing. The roller furling jib is great for changing the size of the jib quickly. The raised pilothouse has a sit-down chart table, easily accessible electrical panels, inside steering station, and auxiliary controls to Starboard. To port is the galley with a double sink, ample counter space, an icebox, a stove with an oven, and plenty of storage. While cooking you can look out and enjoy the outdoors view through the portholes. The Bayfield boats were built by Ted Gozzard in Canada and are known for their rugged design and beautiful lines. They are full keel boats with a shoal draft (3'9") making them perfect for the Gulf Coast or the Islands. I hauled out and did a bottom job in April 2013. Also replaced both battery banks in April 2013. The B32s were originally cutter rigged but this one was converted to sloop rig; she can easily be converted back to the cutter. Contender 35 ST Review A serious fishing machine that can be tailored to virtually any style of offshore angling There’s no question that Contender’s 35 ST is a hard-core fishing machine, though the model we tested had at least two concessions to creature comfort. Like all Contenders, nearly everything within its 34½-foot vented hull was optional. “You tell us how you want it, and we’ll build it,” said Les Stewart, director of marketing for Homestead, Florida-based Contender Boats, as we idled away from Florida’s Sanibel Harbour Resort marina and headed out to the Gulf of Mexico. “Wait until you see how she runs,” Stewart added. ADVERTISING Performance With three Yamaha F300s on the transom, the 35 ST jumped on plane in three seconds, vaulting to 30 mph in six seconds — not bad for a boat with a wet weight of around 12,000 pounds. The triple outboards make a ­difference in hole shot versus twins. In prior testing with a pair of Yamaha F350s, the 35ST took 2.5 seconds longer to plane. At wide-open throttle, however, the extra 200 ponies gained only 1.5 mph over the twins, topping out at 6,000 rpm and 67.6 mph. Surprisingly, the triples get the same optimum fuel economy as the twins. The three F300s burned 1.6 mpg at 3,000 rpm and 32.7 mph. This results in a 576-mile range, with 10 percent reserve in the 400gallon fuel tank. Thanks to a pair of vents, the hull is very efficient. These create a cushion of air to reduce drag. “The aeration starts kicking in around 25 or 30 mph,” said Stewart, who estimates a 10 percent increase in mileage as a result. 2001 Pro-Line 30 Sport, OWN A CLASSIC. The Pro-line Sport series has a long-established reputation for a comfortable ride and fishability. This boat has plenty of room for fighting the big ones with loads of fishing features right at hand. Fish boxes are foam insulated and drain overboard. Insulated bait boxes are close by as are 8 rod holders. A large command console offers plenty of storage and room for your favorite electronics. There is wide access to bow casting decks giving anglers space to spread out. A deep V hull, trim tabs and reverse chines transform rough water into a stable and dry ride. Hardware is thru bolted and vinyl is 32 ounce UV protected. There is no wood in this boat. Within the console there is a standup head and sleeping berth. There is lots of dry storage. This boat also includes a bait prep station with built-in tackle box, a circulating bait well, transom panel breakers and battery switches, trim tabs, a curved Plexiglas windshield, room for 12 V refrigerator or icemaker, a T top, a pair of two bank battery chargers, a boarding ladder, electric head with a macerator, holding tank, pump out and overboard discharge, outriggers, a remote spotlight, spreader lights, VHF radio and a GPS/depth finder/fishfinder in the form of a Furuno GP1650F. The boat also has a dual frequency transducer for the Lowrance HDS system. It has twin 225 counterrotating Mercury Optimax outboards with about 700 hours and they should last 2000. Beam is 10'10" and draft is 22 inches. Capacities are as followed: fuel 300, freshwater 39 and live well 45 gallons with maximum horsepower 500. Hull weight is 6300. I bought this boat in April 2011 with plans to tow it back and forth between Indiana and Gulf Shores Alabama but soon realized that it was too large for that plan. In 2011, I did many improvements including adding a windlass and replacing all pumps and the spreader lights. I added clear bowl fuel filters with pitcocks, a pair of two bank battery chargers and an intermittent timer for the bait well pump. I also replaced the T top canvas. The boat is been in storage since 2012. It does have a few electrical issues currently. It needs a replacement windlass foot switch. The sump pump for the enclosed area and the AM/FM stereo are not working. The canvas top needs to be re-sewn. The starboard fuel tank is empty and the port tank has 30-40 gallons of stabilized but old fuel. This boat also comes with a 2008 tri-axle aluminum trailer. In 2011 it had a rear axle, left mid bearing hub and all disc brake pads replaced. I just replaced the front 18 feet of the brake line. The outboards need impellers and a tune up but easily start. Fiberglass has a few shallow chips here and there. NADA low retail for boat and trailer is $41890 and average is $47325. I have clear titles. SOLD AS IS.

The bluewater sailboat Gulf 32 is unsurprisingly a poor performer in small winds due to its full keel, short waterline, and hefty displacement. She has respectable windward performance for her design, nevertheless, and sails at a respectable 5 to 6 knots in a moderate breeze. Until the seas become rough, her 37-horsepower Westerbeke propels her at 5 knots at 2,500 rpm. In reverse, she steers with a mediocre to nonexistent response.

When working with the mainsail, it is simple to stand atop the medium-profile pilothouse on deck. The flush foredeck is ideal for storing dinghies since it has a tiny slope where the mast steps. Depending on the model year, the bow section of the deck is either flush with a two-piece anchor-locker hatch or has a 6-inch-deep triangular well.

Although she is equipped as a sloop and has a 120 percent roller-furling genoa, the Gulf 32 was intended to be a cutter. Early versions of this bluewater sailboat had the mainsheet at the end of the boom, while later versions had a midboom traveler configuration that freed the cockpit of lines. We currently set up Mariah in this way.

When Bill Garden created the Gulf 32, he created the ideal cruiser for the Pacific Northwest. The world is yours to explore when the conditions are perfect thanks to her interior steerage, which is equipped for the coldest, wettest days.

Alegria’s huge open pilot house, which also features rich dark wood cabinetry and abundance of light, gives off a feeling of brightness and openness. Her room contains a spacious pullman-style bunk bed with plenty of storage, drawers, and a changing table, as well as a large enclosed head to the starboard.

The salon has an L-shaped dinette to starboard that can be converted into a spacious berth and a long settee bench to port. A sit-down chart table, easily accessible electrical panels, an interior steering station, and auxiliary controls to starboard are all included in the elevated pilot house. The galley, which has a big sink, lots of work space, a CNG stove with an oven, and lots of storage, is to port.

The three lazerette storage compartments, wheel steering pedestal with auxiliary controls, stern arch with dinghy davits, and other features are accessible by taking a little step up to the spacious cockpit. Live-aboard, professionally maintained auxiliary, 2017 new head gasket Slip Sublet is offered when purchasing.

Performance

The Gulf 32, which has a full keel, a short waterline, and a large displacement, is anticipated to perform mediocrely and suffer in small breezes. However, it can sail in a light breeze at a respectable speed of 5 to 6 knots and with good windward performance. Its 37 horsepower Westerbeke engine, rated at 2,500 rpm, allows it to cruise at 5 knots even in rough waters. However, it is thought that the sailboat’s steering response when going backwards is subpar or nonexistent.

Quick Notes

One of the owners had to fix leaks near the pilothouse windows and replace the rusty black-iron diesel tank. The deck and bulkhead under the mast step should also be checked, as well as the cored side decks (for leaks and delamination). Throughout an eight-month voyage from Seattle to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and returned to San Diego in 2012 and 2013, Mariah demonstrated her dependability and comfort.

Project Bristol 32 with Yanmar engine. Engine has 500 hours. Boat is seaworthy but there are lots of projects to do. All woodwork externally is ready for a refresh. Internally, the head needs replacing. Great boat that doesn’t look like much but has it where it counts. Has one main sail, two jibs, and three Spinnakers.

Sail Area / Displacement Ratio

A measure of the power of the sails relative to the weight of the boat. The higher the number, the higher the performance, but the harder the boat will be to handle. This ratio is a "non-dimensional" value that facilitates comparisons between boats of different types and sizes. Read more.

• SA : Sail area in square feet, derived by adding the mainsail area to 100% of the foretriangle area (the lateral area above the deck between the mast and the forestay).
• D : Displacement in pounds.

Ballast / Displacement Ratio

A measure of the stability of a boat's hull that suggests how well a monohull will stand up to its sails. The ballast displacement ratio indicates how much of the weight of a boat is placed for maximum stability against capsizing and is an indicator of stiffness and resistance to capsize.

Displacement / Length Ratio

A measure of the weight of the boat relative to it's length at the waterline. The higher a boat’s D/L ratio, the more easily it will carry a load and the more comfortable its motion will be.
