The official trailer for Doctor Who season 14 sees Ncuti Gatwa dive into the role of the Fifteenth Doctor on the iconic British show.

“It’s called the TARDIS. It’s a time and space machine,” he tells her. “Is it safe?” she questions, to which he responds, “I have no idea.” During one of their adventures to the dinosaur era, Ruby asks if she’s going to change time by simply stepping on a butterfly, and he says no, just as she changes from a human to a green, scaly creature.

The two-minute video also gives fans their first look at Indira Varma’s character, the Duchess, and reveals that Callie Cooke will appear in season 14. Anita Dobson, Yasmin Finney, Michelle Greenidge, Bonnie Langford, Jinkx Monsoon, Jemma Redgrave, Lenny Rush and Angela Wynter round out the cast.

According to Disney+ , which now streams Doctor Who , he and Ruby Sunday will “encounter friends and dangerous foes, including a terrifying bogeyman, and the Doctor’s most powerful enemy yet.”

Season 14 of the series will mark Gatwa’s first full run as the iconic character, following his true debut in the show’s Christmas special, “The Church on Ruby Road.”

The special centered on Ruby’s story, which began with a flashback of her being abandoned as a baby on Christmas Eve and adopted by Carla Sunday (Michelle Greenidge). It then flashes forward to the present day where she is being featured on a genealogy show, as she hopes to find her parents. It doesn’t take long before she meets a handsome new stranger, who ends up being The Doctor.

“This role and show means so much to so many around the world, including myself, and each one of my incredibly talented predecessors has handled that unique responsibility and privilege with the utmost care. I will endeavor my utmost to do the same,” Gatwa said, in part. “As much as it’s daunting, I’m aware I’m joining a really supportive family. Unlike the Doctor, I may only have one heart, but I am giving it all to this show.”

Starting May 10, new episodes of Doctor Who season 14 drop Fridays on Disney+.

She’s easy to pilot, having good vision of the mooring bouys makes picking them up reasonably easy, and she handles rough seas incredibly well. Moscow in flames: Huge fire breaks out at warehouse sending up massive plumes of smoke

A huge fire has broken an industrial warehouse in a suburb southeast of Moscow. The large blaze broke out at a fertiliser warehouse in Ramenskoye on Sunday

According to Russian media, the fire started at a neighbouring fertiliser manufacturer's warehouse and was caused by negligence.

The fire follows a series of drone strikes on Moscow, its surroundings, and numerous other Russian cities.

Though it is currently unclear whether this specific fire was caused by such a strike.

There has been no official response from Ukrainian authorities to this latest incident.

According to the Russian state news agency RIA, the fire reached an area of 2,700 square metres before being controlled and extinguished.

Moscow region prosecutor's office has claimed the initial cause of the incident was a violation of fire safety standards while welding, as reported by the TASS official news agency.

Russian media reports that the warehouse had been evacuated.

On July 30 and August 1, a high-rise Moscow City office block, which includes multiple Russian ministries, was damaged by two drone attacks targeting the same site.

Russia has blamed the Ukrainian military for these strikes. On August 11, it was claimed that Moscow's air defence intercepted an attack drone.

According to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the drone's debris landed near the Karamyshevskaya embankment in the western section of the city.

According to reports, there were no fatalities or serious damage.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defence Ministry claimed that the aircraft was destroyed by electronic warfare and fell in a forest.

According to the government, Ukraine allegedly sought to strike an unidentified location within Moscow.

Fifteenth Doctor actor Ncuti Gatwa gives his own theory about the mysterious Mrs. Flood (Anita Dobson) and her potential origins ahead of Doctor Who season 14. Gatwa stepped into the role of the latest Time Lord incarnation in the closing act of the third 60th-anniversary special "The Giggle," before meeting Millie Gibson's companion Ruby Sunday in 2023's seasonal special "The Church on Ruby Road." The episode introduced Mrs. Flood, Ruby's next-door neighbor who surprisingly knows the Time Lords and their secrets.

As Gatwa prepares to lead Doctor Who season 14 in May , the actor opened up to Doctor Who Magazine (via RadioTimes.com ) about his own lingering questions from his Doctor's debut story. Alongside Gibson, Gatwa believes that Mrs. Flood may be more familiar to the Doctor than audiences realize, speculating that she may be a former companion . Check out Gatwa's response below:

Mrs. flood theories also speculate she could be a former doctor or an older ruby sunday..

Alternatively, it has been speculated that Mrs. Flood could be a future version of Ruby having made her way to the past, aware of why she was left on the Church doorstep and needing to help set her life's events in motion.

So far, Mrs. Flood remains a total mystery . The character only appeared in a handful of scenes throughout "The Church on Ruby Road" and had a few interactions with the Doctor and Ruby. Alongside her surprising fourth-wall break in the episode's final moment where she reveals her awareness of the TARDIS, she also encourages Ruby to step onboard the craft, wishing her good luck. With Dobson confirmed to be a mainstay in Gatwa's era , it is clear that audiences haven't seen the last of Mrs. Flood.

Is Mrs. Flood A Time Lord? Doctor Who's Mystery Character Explained

Should Mrs. Flood be a former companion, there are few returning characters she could be, as most of them have been accounted for. One possibility could be that Mrs. Flood may be a regenerated Susan, having left behind her life in the post-Dalek invasion of London in the 22nd century. Alternatively, it has been speculated that Mrs. Flood could be a future version of Ruby having made her way to the past, aware of why she was left on the Church doorstep and needing to help set her life's events in motion.

The mystery of her identity may be a drawn-out storyline with the Fifteenth Doctor, and possibly the majority of Russell T Davies' new era of Doctor Who . The returning showrunner had already set up numerous storylines with 2023's special that established plotlines for future episodes, including TARDIS mysteries, new enemies, and UNIT expansions. As such, Mrs. Flood's identity may be something audiences will have to wait for multiple seasons to see just how much she knows about the Time Lord's secrets.

Doctor Who season 14's two-episode premiere will be on May 11 on Disney+ for international audiences and BBC iPlayer for UK viewers, followed by a later television broadcast on BBC One.
