Fate is Charleston’s Flagship private sailboat, at 50ft long she has 2 large staterooms with queen beds, and two full bathrooms plus full galley. We can accommodate up to 6 guests plus crew of two. Mystique is our latest edition to the fleet and nearly identical to Fate in every way, just a few feet shorter. Charleston Yacht Tours start at $900 for 2.5 hours. If you want to book a Charleston Harbor Cruise all day or night, it will only cost you an extra $400 an hour. Additional hours must be booked in advance. Due to time constraints, swimming is only available on cruises for three hours or more. Have a smaller group? Check out our other boats.

What is seen on a tour.

The Battery, Ravenel Bridge, USS Yorktown, Ft. Sumter, Ft Moultrie, Ft Johnson, Castle Pickney, Waterfront park, SC Aquarium, Historic Homes and Churches, and much more.

Do the boats have bathrooms?

YES. All our vessels except the Skiff have bathrooms on board.

Do you serve food and drinks?

We have a few great catering contacts that will deliver food to the boat prior to your trip. You are welcome to bring anything you want to eat or drink. We provide coolers and ice on board.

Are glass bottles allowed?

We allow glass but recommend other options for your safety.

Can we bring more guests?

The boat capacities are set by the Coast Guard. We can not take over those limits.

Where are the boats?

All boats except the skiff are at Ripley Light Yacht Club. Less than 2 minutes from Downtown.

What happens with bad weather?

The weather in Charleston can be tricky. We want you to have the best time possible with us. Sometimes we can go a little early. Or wait a little bit to get the charter in. Mosty rain showers only last 15-20 minutes. We usually get every charter in. It is the Captains Call on the day of the charter. We give full refund if we can not go.

Can we swim?

Yes on cruises 3hrs or more. The current is very strong and we go to a few spots around the Harbor where it is safe. We can't just stop anywhere.

Can we bring floats?

Yes. We also have floats for guests to use.

Are there extra taxes and fees?

The price advertised is the price you pay. We include a 15% tip that goes entirely to the crew.

How do we pay?

You can book and pay right on our website at Our Fleet, email us, or call and we can book you. We accept all credit cards.

Do you take deposits?

Yes. You can pay in full or make a deposit. The balance is due the week before the trip.

Is there a stereo?

Yes. All Charleston Yacht Tours boats have great Bluetooth stereos.

Shell & Shark Teeth Hunting

Family fun activity, stroll the shores while hunting for a variety of shark teeth, artifacts, shells and sea treasures on beautiful untouched, unspoiled, and undeveloped morris island. you never know what you might find, from sea glass, whelks, pottery, to cannon balls, and more duration: 3 or 4 hours..., weekday rates (monday-thursday).

Total Passenger capacity is 22 people.

If reserving for a 2 hour Tour/Cruise duration there are NO swim, beach or any other stops.

Can we bring our own drinks?

YES, please do, all of our excursions are BYOB. You may bring whatever you would like to drink/eat. The Captain will provide a large cooler with ice, waters, cups, and corkscrew/bottle opener. NO GLASS DRINKWARE ALLOWED ON BOAT.

What do we need to bring for our tour?

All you need to bring are good vibes. However, some suggested items that you may want to bring are a camera, water/drinks, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, snacks/lunch, towel, or something long sleeved in case of too much sun, chills, or wetness. In the spring and fall we highly encourage that guest dress and wear appropriate clothing such as a warm jacket. Please contact us for any questions on items.

The Captain will provide a large cooler with ice, waters, cups, and corkscrew/bottle opener. The boat is also equipped with a state of the art stereo system to play your favorite playlist.

NO GLASS DRINKWARE ALLOWED ON BOAT.

Does boat the have a restroom?

Yes, our boat is equipped with a potty. There are also multiple restroom facilities around the marina area to utilize before and after our boat tour.

CANCELLATION & WEATHER POLICY

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made prior to 14 days out from reservation date will receive a full refund.

Cancellation made between 8-13 days of reservation date/time may request a reschedule for a later date or voucher for the amount paid.

Cancellations made within 7 days of reservation date/time are non-refundable . Cancellations within 7 days will be given NO exceptions or considerations of reschedules or vouchers.

Weather Policy

Cancellation due to weather is Harborview Charters and the Captains decision only! We will contact you on the phone number provided on the day of your tour if there are any weather concerns/cancellations. The Captain keeps a diligent eye on weather and will inform you in ample time to get you rescheduled. Weather cancellations by us are 100% refundable if rescheduling is not possible. We observe real time accurate weather concerns on actual live radars to determine if severe weather is inclement during your specific time on the water with us. Isolated/pop-up thunderstorms are a way of life here in the summer months and they may delay us for a few minutes our miss us entirely, so PLEASE SHOW UP UNLESS YOU HEAR FROM US.  

Please arrive 10 MINUTES before departure time. Tardiness may result in your trip being cut short by that amount of time.

Overnight Cruise

Our most exclusive yacht charter is an overnight trip for two to Beaufort, SC. On this charter, guests will travel from Charleston to Beaufort, where the boat will dock for the night at the Downtown Marina. Located on the intracoastal waterway between Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA, Beaufort is home to Port Royal, stunning golf courses, historical information regarding Gullah culture, and much more. Come morning, breakfast will be brought to the guests when they are awake and ready. Travel back to Charleston will follow.

*Due to the nature of this excursion, costs start at $5000 plus expenses. At this time, this is the only overnight charter available.

Catered Cruise

Depending on what yacht charter you've chosen to book, you may find yourself in need of food and beverage catering. Charleston is known for its gourmet cuisine and there are numerous, fantastic options available. We're happy to work with whomever you choose. However, if you're not sure where to go, we highly recommend Caviar & Bananas located on George St. (Their photos are featured in the slideshow to the right.) Please contact us for more information.

Sunset Cruise

It's called Golden Hour for a reason, and we're inclined to believe that Charleston does it better than anyone else. When colors encompass the sky and the sun touches the horizon, there's no better place to be than on the water. Book in advance to reserve this coveted time of day... You don't want to miss it.

Scattering Ashes

Here at Charleston Charter and Yacht, we know that the passing of a loved one is a solemn time. Many choose to spread the ashes of their loved ones at sea in lieu of formal arrangements. There are also those that choose to utilize our services after holding a Celebration of Life ceremony. No matter what you choose to do, our yacht charter is equipped to legally handle ash scatterings off of the South Carolina coast. We can safely hold up to twelve people and offer a comfortable, affordable funeral solution with unmet privacy.
