Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2: The Yacht Location Guide, Loot Locations, Where To Drop

Ever wanted your very own super-yacht? Well, this isn't quite the same, but you could certainly do worse than landing on The Yacht to start your Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 career. But where is best to land, and where is the best loot? We've got you covered.

Published: 26 Feb 2020 10:53 AM +00:00 Updated: 08 Apr 2021 9:14 AM +00:00

Fornite Chapter 2 Season 2 offers a host of exciting changes to the map we all knew and loved throughout Season 1, including a super-yacht that has sailed into the north-east corner of the map.

The Yacht includes a whole host of loot, plenty of secret passages, and a giant golden statue of the elusive Midas. Nothing says humble like a giant golden statue of yourself, right?

If you're planning on dropping to The Yacht, head to the north of Steamy Stacks, but be sure not to miss and end up stranded in the ocean.

From there, follow our tips to make the most of your time at sea, and emerge ready and equipped to deal with the battle ahead.

Be sure to watch our wide variety of Fortnite content here!

Best Landing Spots

You can land pretty much anywhere you want on The Yacht, but some areas are much better than others.

We'd suggest landing on the back of the boat, but on the very top can work as well.

The front of the boat (with the large H Helipad) doesn't offer much loot and has plenty of NPC Henchmen patrolling.

Your main aim is to get to the vault in the basement of The Yacht, via the NPC boss Meowscles to grab the key card which will grant you access.

Meowscles patrols the main room at the centre of the boat, and your best chance of access is from the rear, as you can take cover under the stairway so other guards don't see you.

The alternative is disguising yourself in the telephone box at the front of the boat so you can walk in uninterrupted by NPCs - but this takes a long time while rival players are busy looting.

Loot Locations

As always, head straight for the vault when you arrive on The Yacht. Grab the keycard from Meowscles, beat the Henchmen, and get your goodies.

Meowscles' signature Legendary AK isn't really that good, so don't bother picking that up.

Watch out for players camping the vault, but the Supply Caches inside should sort you out with a full complement of loot.

Then take the Porta-Potty out of there, and find the three chests in the storage containers at the other end.

This puts you out on the mainland, ready to head towards the centre and the bigger fights.

Finding Cover

The Yacht is a surprisingly open area, especially on the front deck and in the main room.

After killing Meowscles, try to stick to the higher ground or the basement areas to avoid getting shot.

There are a lot of NPC Henchmen in this small area, so be careful even when landing alone, or take cover in the smaller rooms beside the big room - the ones with the cat flaps that you have to crawl through.

These are great places to top up your shields, as you'll see and hear enemies coming.

Best Weapons

While you may prefer a shotgun below decks, Assault Rifles remain the best choice on top.

There are some longer-ranged areas, and you may need to take out Meowscles from a distance to avoid being taken out by massed Henchmen.

The Assault Rifles will come in handy once you go through the Porta-Potty and end up on the mainland.

You'll find yourself pretty open, and aside from campers at the exit, so the range will come in handy.

Pros And Cons

The Yacht is a little bit loot lite, and quite far from anywhere else on the map. If it's near the Battle Bus path, it'll likely be busy with everyone after the sweet vault loot, but if it's too far then your time could be better spent elsewhere.

If you're headed to Steamy Stacks and it seems a bit busy, The Yacht may be a good second choice, but other areas seem to offer better rewards this season.

Fortnite Season 2's Top Secret update makes 5 huge changes to the map

Phonebooth, phonebooths everywhere!

fortnite chapter 2 season 2 yacht

On Thursday, Fortnite Season 2, Chapter 2 launched around the world, bringing Deadpool to the game (kind of), starting a new Battle Pass , and altering the map immensely. For all those Battle Royale Magellans out there, exploring the new map might seem daunting, but it’s infinitely more doable with some explanation.

For example, what’s up with those new NPC attackers? What's the deal with all of those eye-catching new locations? Here's everything you need to know about all the changes that come with the launch of Top Secret.

Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 2’s Top Secret theme and factions, explained

Fornite Chapter 2, Season 2 focuses on spies and secret agents, particularly the campy ones who use gadgets and wits to get the job done. To facilitate this theme, two covert-ops factions – Ghost and Shadow – have taken over the island, setting up outposts throughout the map along with new goodies. Replacing the stealthy bush, players can now use a cardboard box for their sneaking needs.

There are five new points of interest: The Yacht, The Agency, The Rig, The Shark , and The Grotto.

fortnite chapter 2 season 2 yacht

Fortnite's brand new map

Infiltrating them isn’t easy: they’re filled with enemy NPCs that will kill you without the proper equipment. Said “equipment” is a disguise that can be found within red phonebooths littered on the new island.

By entering said phonebooth, you’ll transform into one of the NPC's allies, you’ll just be “one of the boys.” Maybe they’ll offer you a beer . If they don’t, try a different outpost. Defeat the location's boss to obtain Keycard access to exclusive chests found within the outpost.

What is Fortnite’s Yacht, and where is it located?

Found in the Northeastern corner of the new map, the Yacht is a new ship run by the Ghost faction. By entering, you’ll be able to snag The Ghost keycard and Ghost skin , allowing access to the various Ghost locales throughout the map. (Be wary of the turrets throughout the boat if you don’t have the right skin on.)

Given Epic’s well-documented love for dynamic maps, it’s wholly possible the boat will shift locations throughout Season 2.

What is Fortnite’s Rig, and where is it located?

While the Yacht occupies the northeastern corner of the map, the Rig is at the opposite end, on the southeastern side. There are tons of henchmen bots here, but it’s not currently occupied by Ghost or Shadow forces.

Defeat the boss here, and you'll snag a keycard exclusively for the Rig.

fortnite chapter 2 season 2 yacht

Phone Booth on the Rig

What is Fortnite’s Agency, and where is it located??

Cropping up in the new map’s core, this is going to be a hot spot . this is where all the secret agents congregated in the cinematic trailer . It’s currently occupied by the Shadow , granting a Keycard for the group. From what we currently know, through some exploration, you can find a vault in this outpost, providing oodles of loot to take back with you into battle. However, watch out for the big boss and henchmen patrolling the area.

What is Fortnite’s Shark, and where is it located?

A “secret” base located on the map’s northwest side. Ut’s a cave that literally looks like a shark, so it's hard to miss. This location is truly as conspicuous as you can get without screaming “Secret Base.”

Forage through the area to find the Shark Keycard . In addition to the cave, there’s also a swanky beach house to explore.

What is Fortnite’s Grotto, and where is it located?

On the map’s east side, you’ll find an underground base called the Grotto. Tread carefully, because this one requires you to glide in . I’d suggest you head in right as the match starts. Within it, you’ll be met with turrets, henchmen, and the like.

If you’re above all the drama, head to the phonebooth inside to go incognito. You’ll also gain access to the Grotto keycard here. Before you leave, make sure to check out The Grotto’s exclusive vault, home to a massive weapons cache .

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 is out now.

Screen Rant

Fortnite: every new map location in chapter 2 season 2.

This guide will help players find and navigate all five new Points of Interest introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2

With every new season of Fortnite comes changes to the Battle Island, and Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is no exception. While past seasons have seen some drastic map changes like the destruction of Dusty Depot, maps being covered in snow, and a city full of skyscrapers erecting in a matter of gigabytes, Chapter 2 Season 2 adds some very interesting POIs that also introduce game-changing mechanics.

Related:  Fortnite: How to find and use Vault Key-Cards in Chapter 2 Season 2

These 5 new POIs take the form of team headquarters crawling with newly added NPCs and filled to the brim with high-tier loot. In addition to the large POIs, there are a number of secret bases scattered around the map that are also home to NPCs. This guide will teach players all about the new POIs introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2.

5 New POIs in Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 adds 5 new large POIs to Battle Island in the form of spy team headquarters. These POIs are The Agency, The Grotto, The Yacht, The Shark, and The Rig.

Each location is inhabited by Henchmen which are armed NPCs that are native to that location. They will not leave the location and will continue to patrol the POI until they are eliminated. As well, each POI has its own unique boss which is equipped with a unique Mythic weapon and vault keycard.

As well as NPCs, the new locations all have a vault that can only be opened with a keycard. These vaults are filled with tons of high-tier loot, and the vaults cannot be found anywhere outside of these POIs.

The new locations are also filled with security cameras and turrets. Turrets are usually located near the vaults entrances, and security cameras can be found at the main entryways of the POIs. Turrets will shoot players with 100% accuracy if they come into the turret's line of sight, and security cameras will alert Henchmen and players to your location if spotted.

The new POIs put a heavy emphasis on stealth as it is wiser for players to sneak around these locations than it is for them to go in guns blazing. Luckily, the POIs are built in such a way that players can easily sneak around them much like a level in Hitman or Metal Gear Solid.

The Agency in Fortnite

The Agency is definitely one of the largest and most heavily populated POIs introduced in Fortnite Season 2, and that can be contributed to the fact that it is located in the center of Battle Island. It is a six-story tall headquarters for Team Ghost that is densely populated with Henchmen and has various nooks and crannies for players to sneak around in.

Although the campus for The Agency is fairly large, it is pretty simple to navigate. The vault is located by walking down the corridor on the left-hand side of the building when players walk through the front entrance. Midas, who is the resident boss of The Agency, can usually be found roaming the third floor of the facility. There is a basement of winding air-ducts that players can crawl through on the right side of the building, but this area can be avoided altogether due to the lack of loot.

A telephone booth where players can disguise themselves as henchmen can be found at the back right of The Agency down some stairs. There is also a dumpster located on the left side of the building that once entered teleports the player to the inside of the facility.

The Grotto in Fortnite

The Grotto is an interesting location as the majority of the location is found underground. It is located on the east side of Battle Island directly south of Dirty Docks. Again, it is heavily populated with Henchmen, but The Grotto can be a little bit more difficult to navigate.

Entering The Grotto can be done one of three ways. The first is by walking down the driveway into a garage north of The Grotto. This may be a bit challenging as the garage not only has henchmen in it but turrets as well, both of which do not offer warm welcomes.

The second is through a wind tunnel fixed on a hill to the west of The Grotto. This is fairly easy as all a player needs to do is dive into the wind tunnel and make their way to the entrance at the bottom. Along the wall of the tunnel, there is also a separate room halfway down that has a chest. The tunnel will lead players into the bottom level of The Grotto near the vault

The third and fastest way to enter the vault is by jumping down into the belly of The Grotto through a large gaping hole seen on the map. In the center there is a helicopter pad that will kill a player from fall damage if landed on, so be careful to jump to the side into the water. This location is also filled with henchmen and a turret but there is plenty of cover and floor loot to help with those problems. As well, there is a port-a-potty that once entered will teleport a player further inside the Grotto.

The Grotto is home to Brutus who wields a very powerful mini-gun. Brutus is usually found roaming around near the vault. Players can easily eliminate Brutus and then open the vault. Exiting back through the wind tunnel is the best way for players to leaver The Grotto as it allows them to glide away from the location.

The Yacht in Fortnite

The Yacht is one of the smallest new POIs in Fornite Chapter 2 Season 2 as it is exactly what it says it is... a yacht. This big boat is located in the top right corner of the map which makes it one of the least visited POIs in the game, but regardless it is still filled with henchmen, loot, and Meowscles the body-building cat.

The best way to enter the boat and get to the vault quickly is by landing on the balcony at the front of the boat. From here a player can walk through the windows into the boats helm or cockpit where there should be floor loot. A player can then enter through the door in the helm to access the main part of the boat.

Along the balcony inside the boat, there is more loot for players to pick up however, this room also contains multiple henchmen and Meowscles himself. After eliminating Meowscles and his goons the player can make their way to between the two stairs leading up to the back of the boat and can mine straight through the floor. This will lead players directly to the room that the vault is in.

Once inside the vault a player can enter the port-a-potty to be teleported away from the boat back to land for a quick getaway or to escape the storm. The boat itself is covered in loot both from chest and floor loot, however it is so far removed from Battle Island it can prove a challenge for players to stay on The Yacht for long.

The Shark in Fortnite

The Shark is arguably the most uninteresting new POIs in season 2 and is located directly north of Sweaty Sands. At first glance, a giant stone shark may seem interesting, however, the building itself is not too complex or unique. It is easily navigated, and entering is pretty straightforward, but all in all, it is the weakest of the five new POIs.

When landing on The Shark all a player needs to do is land on the roof of the building. There is plenty of loot on the roof, and hoping inside the facility from the roof leads player straight to The Shark's boss, Skye. She can actually be shot from the roof since the roof looks straight into the second floor where Skye can be found roaming around.

Once eliminated, grab Skye's card and hop down next to the tree with yellow leaves. Mine the floor and you will land in the lower levels of The Shark right next to the vault. Be wary as there are turrets guarding the vault that can be easily avoided by ducking into the rooms on either side of the vault.

Again, there is a port-a-potty inside the vault that will teleport players inland away from the storm. The port-a-potty leads to a small island with a shack that may also have loot, but more importantly, has a boat that players can drive to further escape the storm.

The Rig in Fortnite

The Rig is, obviously, a giant oil rig located west of Slurpy Swamp. While it is one of the more conceptually interesting POIs added this season, its layout can confuse players who do not land there normally.

The Rig is fairly large in size and is heavily populated by henchmen, but is also home to the eagle-eyed bow-woman TNTina. She is armed with her mythic Boom Bow which is a bow and arrow that shoots explosive rounds that explode on impact. This makes traversing the open terrain of The Rig a bit more dangerous than navigating other POIs.

TNTina can normally be found near the northwest portion of the rig on the balcony of the building labeled "3". This building is doubly dangerous as it is protected by two turrets located out front. Once a player has eliminated TNTina and collected her card it is time to navigate their way to the vault.

From the "3" building walk back towards the rig and go behind the spherical container labeled "Spillexx" and mine straight down. Once you've broken through the floor walk all the way down the steps until you find yourself outside of the vault. Once inside loot up and use the port-a-potty to teleport inland near Slurpy Swamp.

And those are the five new POIs introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2: Vault Locations And How To Unlock Them

Fortnite Season 2's second chapter has introduced new vaults. Here's where to find all of them and how to unlock them.

After four long months,  Fortnite finally released another big content update in the form of Chapter 2 Season 2. In this season, one of the biggest new features is vaults. Vaults contain large amounts of great loot that will give you an excellent chance at winning that coveted victory royale. Here are all of the vault locations and how you can unlock them.

There is a vault located at each of  Fortnite 's five new locations. This includes The Yacht, The Grotto, The Rig, The Shark, and The Agency. That being said, finding these vaults within each location isn't always a simple task, and unlocking them will take even more work.

RELATED:  Fortnite: Unvaulted Weapons For Chapter 2 Season 2

First off, The Yacht is located at the northeast corner of the map, just off the coast of Steamy Stacks. Once aboard The Yacht, watch out for the henchmen NPCs, which will take aim at you on sight. You'll want to head to the northern end of The Yacht, and enter the phone booth. Once you do that, you'll receive a disguise, which will prevent enemy turrets from attacking you.

This disguise also allows you to unlock weapon caches, which are containers holding rare loot in each of the game's vaults. First, you'll need to take down Meowscles, the buff kitty cat and boss who can be found in the main room on The Yacht. Meowscles shouldn't give you too much trouble, and will drop The Yacht Keycard. This will grant you access to the vault room, located on the Yacht's lower deck.

You can follow this same process for the other four locations as well.

At The Grotto, located on the eastern portion of the map, use the phone booth at the edge of the water for a disguise, then take down Brutus, the burly bald boss who can be found wielding a mini gun near the northern end of the location. He'll drop The Grotto Keycard, which will allow you to unlock the vault nearby.

RELATED: CS:GO's Famous Dust 2 Map Is (Unofficially) Coming To Fortnite

The Rig is located off the southwest coast of the island, and it's essentially a giant oil rig. You can find this location's boss, TNTina, wandering around near the central area. She'll drop a rare Boom Bow, as well as The Rig Keycard. You can use this card to open up the vault, which is located in the northern end of the location, inside one of the rig's support legs.

The Shark is located at the northwestern edge of  Fortnite 's map. It's an island consisting of a secret hideout built on top of a shark-shaped rock -- pretty cool right? You'll need to take down another boss, named Skye, who wanders around the area. Once defeated, she will drop a gold assault rifle, and The Shark Keycard, which unlocks the vault located in the basement. Then, you can grab a boat docked in the shark's mouth for a quick getaway.

Finally, the most difficult vault to unlock is at The Agency. The Agency's boss, Midas, will be wandering throughout the area and never settles in a single spot. He's also much more difficult to take down, so make sure there aren't any henchmen around before you attack. Once you've killed Midas, pick up his golden drum gun and The Agency Keycard, then head to the building's basement to unlock the vault.

And that's how to find all five new vaults in  Fortnite and how to unlock each one. Hit up one of these per game, and if you're successful, you're guaranteed to have some excellent weapons in your arsenal.

The Yacht was a Landmark in Battle Royale added in Chapter 2 Season 2 , located inside the coordinate E1 , north of Blue Steel Bridge (POI) and near Unremarkable Shack . As the name implies, it is a giant yacht. There was a Reboot Van located on a small island just next to the location before The Yacht moved. Deadpool patrolled the area with his Mythic Hand Cannons . Before Deadpool took over the location, it was patrolled by the GHOST version of Meowscles .

The 6 biggest changes in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2

What's new in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 and what does it all mean

The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 biggest changes include new areas on the map, new characters and challenges, and Deadpool’s here! That’s only the start though, on top of the Fortnite patch notes , with a whole new spy theme adding in Vaults, stealth and even ‘deception’ as areas and items belonging to rival factions can be accessed when using disguises. It’s going to take a while to unpack what all this means, especially as some things - like the helicopters in the trailer - don’t seem to be in the game yet. So let’s take a look at what has appeared and what’s on the way.

Fortnite Season 2 trailers | Deadpool joining Fortnite | Fortnite Deadpool challenges | Fortnite Brutus' Briefing challenges | Fortnite Maya's challenges | Fortnite new and unvaulted weapons | Fortnite Henchmen and Agents | Fortnite phone booths | Fortnite Season 2 end date

1. There are new Fortnite Ghost and Shadow factions

Fortnite Ghost and Shadow factions

It’s not clear exactly who these covert organisations are but they've taken over the island with a range of new secret locations, challenges and NPC bosses and henchmen that are just as capable as taking you down as any player. While their plans for the island aren’t clear yet - its “fate is in your hands” states Epic - it looks like you’ll be able to unlock outfit variants and possibly influence the future of the game. You can also grab some high level gear by taking out operatives on their bases to open special cheats and vaults.

2. There are unique special Agent weapons

fortnite chapter 2 season 2 yacht

Each of the new Agent characters appear both as character skins and mini bosses at certain locations. Defeating one of them will get you an ID card to a vault filled with high level loot, as well as a unique gold tier character weapon:

  • Brutus’ Minigun
  • Meowscle’s Peow Peow Rifle
  • Midas’ Drum Gun
  • Skye’s Assault Rifle

3. There are new faction locations

Of course with each new season comes a host of new points of interest and map changes and season 2 of chapter 2 is no different. There are five new areas specific to the Ghost and Shadow factions on the Fortnite map - the Shark, the Agency, the Rig, the Yacht and Grotto, all of which come with henchmen, Agent bosses, locked chests, ID doors, Fortnite Vaults and security cameras that detect intruders (you).

The Shark

fortnite the shark

In the top left of the map at B1 you’ll find the Shark, described as “sandy island with a secret base”. Drop here and you’ll find a shark shaped cave and a not so secret base complete with henchmen, loot and security cameras. It's Agent Skye's base, where you can claim her Assault Rifle if you defeat her.

fortnite the agency

A new location in the middle of the island at E4 is called the Agency, and home to Agent Midas, who’s Drum Gun you can take if you kill him. It’s covered in Ghost Insignia so almost certainly forms their base of operations. Like the the Shark it’s a huge base and air vents to creep around it.

The Rig

fortnite the rig

Located off the coast near Slurpy Swamp in grid B7, The Rig will be an interesting location as it’s off the coast, making it a risk to get on or off. It’s Agent TNTina’s base though, so it might be worth visiting just to claim her Ka-Boo Bow

fortnite yacht

A large ship, called the yacht, in the top right of the map in grid H1. It’s got Agent Meowscles written all over it with a giant ball of yarn and a litter tray, watched over by a security camera. There’s also a gym with a cat-themed exercise regime on a board. Again, like the Rig it's off the coast, so a risky area to get too and from BUT defeating Meowscles gets you his Peow Peow rifle, a gold AK varient.

fortnite grotto

You’ll find the Grotto at H5. It’s an underground base most easily accessed by dropping in the big hole on the eastern side of the mountain. You can also get in via an inlet on the coast and a small cave to the south west of Dirty Docks. Inside you’ll find Agent Brutus who you can defeat for his minigun.

4. There's a new lobby with more options

fortnite lobby

A new Fortnite season always means a new lobby but there’s more than a background change this time as there’s a full base, full of agents and different options to access. Moving from left to right these are as follows:

The first menu lets you access the five different agents that have arrived in Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 2. So far that’s only Brutus, with the rest unlocking at 14 day intervals. By accessing each agent you’re able to see the challenges you’ll need to complete to access their final Ghost or Shadow faction mission.

Daily Assignment

Your Daily Assignments now appear on a notice board. Little else has changed - it’s still things like eliminations and searching chests, and you can swap out any you don’t like

Challenge Table

In the middle of the screen you’ll find the main challenges displayed on a map. You can filter these between Agent and Maya challenges (Maya being the character you can massively customise this season), ‘suggested’, ‘daily’, ‘style’ and ‘all’, as well as check through your progress.

Battle Pass

Above the Challenge Table you’ll find the good ol’ Battle Pass. Nothing’s changed much here other than the big shiny doors that slide open to reveal it. All your tiered rewards and progress to 100 are shown here.

Deadpool Challenges

Just to the right, in the middle, you’ll find an air vent that leads, inexplicably, to Deadpool’s lair. Inside you’ll find a letter to read about a Deadpool themed Battle Bus, as well as computer to track the Fortnite Deadpool challenges which so far are ‘Read the letter’ and ‘Don't thank the bus driver’.

Upgrade Vault

Top right you’ll find the Upgrade Vault where you can view the challenges and unlocks for Maya. She’s a new highly customisable character you can ‘make your own’ by changing [deep breath] her hair, tattoos, sleeves, boots, collars, vest, helmet, pants, face paint and scarf.

‘Coming Soon’ (Limited time operations)

Quite how the Ghost and Shadow rivalry will play out over Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 remains to be seen. But this computer terminal on the far right will be tracking it, and the fate of the island via Limited Time Operations. This is where you’ll choose your allegiance to either team Ghost or team Shadow. We Don't quite know how this will happen yet but the battle pass trailer mentions that during the season we’ll have limited time operations that will change the shape of the island forever. If we had to guess we’d say this will take the form of small things like voting items back into rotation and bigger in-game events.

5. New Fortnite weapons and items

fortnite chapter 2 season 2 yacht

The Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 2 trailer has revealed a range of new weapons and gear, as well as vaulted a few. The Damage Trap, Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle and some rarities of the Rocket Launcher and SMG are gone. While the unvaulted stuff stuff includes:

  • Heavy Sniper Rifle
  • Remote Explosives

You can also get special rare variants of certain weapons from defeated henchmen:

  • Suppressed Assault Rifle
  • Suppressed Submachine Gun
  • Suppressed Sniper Rifle
  • Suppressed Pistol

Other notable additions include a box which acts like slightly less conspicuous version the old bushes when used against anything other than henchmen. There’s also a Sneaky Snowman v2, and Invisibility Powerup, Smoke Grenade and most notably, Decoys. These grenade-like throwables create a jumpy, mobile copy of your character to distract enemies.

6. There's a new and hugely customizable character skin, Maya

fortnite chapter 2 season 2 yacht

Maya isn’t just a customisable skin in terms of unlocking levels and colours, she’s a character you can change ten different elements of. The idea being that all the possible combinations will let players create their own (more or less) unique skin. The options you can unlock include upgrades to her hair, tattoos, sleeves, boots, collars, vest, helmet, pants, face paint and scarf. So far the challenges required look fairly basic, including things like dealing 250 damage with Assault Rifles in a single match.

Fortnite season 2 map guide: Shark, Grotto, Agency, Rig

Cody Perez

Fortnite update 12.00 is massive, bringing the long-awaited release of season 2. The expected changes and additions are all here like a season 2 battle pass, plenty of skins to collect challenges to complete, and new map changes to explore. Though this season isn’t as revolutionary as season one, it does evolve the chapter two map with several named locations to visit.

New Fortnite named locations

Fortnite season 2 minor map changes.

The battle royale island map is much more crowded this season with five new named locations available. These are all in addition to the already existing areas that haven’t changed much, bringing the total to 18 points of interest.

While many of these new spots are smaller than we are used to, they each offer something unique from watery locales to underground sections.

  • The best places to land in Fortnite (Chapter 5, Season 2)
  • Where to find Vendetta Flopper in Lego Fortnite
  • How many skins are in Fortnite?

Starting in the northwestern corner of the map, we have the Shark. This hidden base took over one of the islands there and converted it into a huge shark building. There are two main sections of this point of interest. At the center of the titular shark, there is a prestigious estate and a couple of smaller buildings.

In this part of the island, players will find luxurious rooms and plenty of treasure chests to open up. Facing the water is the other half of this island: The Shark. The mouth of the creature is opening up to the ocean, allowing players to drive their boats inside. There, players will find a vast underground base, complete with hidden chests to discover.

At the center of everything is the Agency headquarters. Home to the spies who give season 2 its theme, this location is found right in the middle of the map. Formerly known as the Eye Land landmark, it is now a complex structure with secret areas, multiple floors, and lots of loot.

The Agency is sure to be a popular location in season 2 as the heart of the island and lore, so players should keep this in mind when landing there.

Off the coast of Slurpy Swamp in the southwestern quadrant of the island, there is the Rig. This location is not easily accessible given its offshore placement, so players are better off landing here at the start of a match. The towering oil rig is broken into two areas: the central rig and a smaller one adjacent to it.

While there aren’t many buildings on the Rig, the insides of them are narrow and tough for battling foes. This is countered by the open nature of the outside area where mid to long-range fights will reign supreme.

The Grotto is the strangest location in season 2, situated on the east coast between Retail Row and Dirty Docks. When you first arrive here, it will appear as if nothing is here except a giant hole. If you jump down, though, you will find a cavernous underground base.

On one side of the Grotto, there is a tiny shore with some loot to pick up. On the other, there is a lair atop the water with a few buildings. Players should keep in mind that it is difficult to get out of the Grotto currently without a lot of materials.

A fancy spy theme wouldn’t be complete without a lavish yacht to infiltrate. Located in the northeastern corner of the island is the Yacht named location. It is northeast of Steamy Stacks, floating on the water with no land underneath or around it. Like the Rig, this is a fairly stranded area.

The Yacht has several floors with intricate interiors that are confusing to navigate. This is further complicated by the vents system that lets you sneak around and stealthily attack other players.

Beyond the five new points of interest, there are also some minor changes to the map that aren’t noticeable at first glance. For starters, there are a couple of helipads that are found on the island now at places like the Agency and Grotto. These hint at a future release of helicopters in the game as there are no new vehicles currently.

Taking a page from Apex Legends , there are three special vaults on the map that can only be accessed with a keycard dropped by NPCs. If you access one of these, you will find crates, chests, and containers with some of the best loot in the game.

Lastly, Apres Ski lodge is a new landmark in the game that is tied to the week 1 challenges . This building is southwest of Misty Meadows on a mountain. Inside, players will find it’s actually a club with a colorful dance floor.

Most things in Lego Fortnite are grounded in reality -- well, as much as they can be in a game where you are a little Lego man running around collecting resources and building entire villages by yourself. You slowly accumulate better gear as you craft new items and upgrade your existing facilities so you can venture further out and face tougher challenges.

There's some equipment that works a bit differently, namely your Trinkets and Charms. These little doodads can be crafted as you collect specific resources, they come in a range of rarities, and all of them give your character a specific buff that can be placed on your armor to add to your character. There's a lot of them out there to find and craft, so we've cataloged all the Charms and Trinkets in Lego Fortnite and what they do. Every Charm and Trinket

Obsidian is almost as rare a resource in Lego Fortnite as it is in real life. This black, razor-sharp material can only be found in the most dangerous environments. That means knowing where to find it is only part of the trouble. The real test will be in preparing yourself to survive the trip. You'll also need the tools necessary to collect it. If you're ready to face the heat, here's how to get Obsidian in Lego Fortnite. Where to find Obsidian

Obsidian is an ore, so if your first instinct was to look for Obsidian inside of caves, then you're on the right track. Unlike something like Marble, however, Obsidian isn't as common or in as easy to reach places. Obsidian will be found deep into caves near lava, but only caves found in a desert biome will have lava inside.

Alongside Lego Fortnite, the other new game within a game that was recently launched in Fortnite proper is the thrilling Rocket Racing. While matches are much shorter than in either of its sister games, that hasn't stopped Epic from giving you plenty of quests to complete to spice up your races. The Try Rocket Racing! quests are comprised of three parts, and finishing them all will unlock the stylish Jackie skin for free. Aside from being a great-looking skin worthy of nabbing, these quests will help get you comfortable behind the wheel in Fortnite: Rocket Racing. How to complete the Try Rocket Racing! quest

The three requirements to finish the Try Rocket Racing! quest are to play your first race, then complete 10 races, and finally, to reach the Gold rank.

The Island Map

Fortnite security plans the rig, yacht, and shark - ghost and shadow mailbox locations.

Epic has changed up the Battle Pass a little bit in Chapter 2: Season 2 , allowing players to side with either Shadow or Ghost. While we don’t know how these allegiances will affect the island quite yet, players that have completed the Brutus’ Briefing challenges are being asked to steal security plans from the Rig, Yacht, or Shark, and deliver them to a Shadow or Ghost mailbox to choose their first allegiance.

Below are the following Fortnite loyalty challenges for Brutus:

  • Steal Security Plans from The Rig, The Yacht, or The Shark and Deliver Them to Shadow (1)
  • Steal Security Plans from The Rig, The Yacht, or The Shark and Deliver Them to Ghost (1)

Keep reading for more details on where to steal security plans and where to find the Shadow and Ghost mailbox locations.

Where to Steal Security Plans from The Rig, The Yacht, or The Shark

There are three different locations that players can visit in order to steal security plans in Fortnite, all of which are new locations in Season 2 . In case you aren’t familiar with The Rig, Yacht, or Shark, we’ve pointed them out for you in the map below.

Fortnite-Security-Plan-Locations-Map.png

Stealing security plans won’t be too hard, it’s simply a matter of finding and interacting with one of the three server locations. Additionally, you must have completed both weeks of Brutus challenges before you can access the Fortnite loyalty mission for Brutus.

Your best bet is to steal security plans from The Yacht or The Shark, as the server location at the Rig is a bit unclear. The server holding the security plans at The Yacht can be found on the bottom floor, just past the kitchen.

Fortnite-The-Yacht-Security-Plan-Locations.JPG

The server holding the security plans at The Shark can be found in the bottom, main room inside the island mansion, to the left of the Vault.

Fortnite-The-Shark-Security-Plan-Location.JPG

Once you’ve chosen your location, you’ll want to watch out for Henchmen and security turrets. You can also use a variety of secret passages to sneak around the area, just be mindful of the Henchmen. They won’t be too hard to kill unless they catch you off guard, so just be careful.

Once you’ve found and stolen the Fortnite security plans, you’ll need to choose your allegiance by delivering them to either a Shadow or Ghost mailbox location.

Fortnite Shadow and Ghost Mailbox Locations

The Shadow and Ghost mailboxes can be found spread out across the Fortnite island. They are small boxes that can be easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. The Ghost mailbox locations are white, while the Shadow mailbox locations are black.

Fortnite-Ghost-Shadow-Mailbox-Locations.png

There are a couple of different places that you can find the Fortnite mailbox locations, which we will detail below. Once you find one, simply interact with it to drop in your stolen security plans, and pledge Brutus’ allegiance. If you want to see what his skins options look like before you decide, check out our Fortnite Shadow vs. Ghost skin comparison guide .

You can find the Fortnite Ghost and Shadow mailboxes at the following locations:

  • Slurpy Swamp
  • Holly Hedges
  • Pleasant Park
  • Sweaty Sands
  • Steamy Stacks

Simply visit one of these locations, find either a Ghost or Shadow mailbox, and you’ll be rewarded with the corresponding Brutus skin.

Where is the Yacht in the Fortnite map?

Here's where you can find the Yacht in Fortnite.

Donovan Erskine

Epic Games has gotten pretty creative with their season challenges in Fortnite Battle Royale. Typically tasking players with finding items in certain locations, or eliminating players, it can be a lot to keep up with. Add on top of that the fact that Fortnite’s map is constantly changing, and it's hard to know where everything is. Chapter 2 Season 3 has arrived and some of the challenges have players wondering, where is the Yacht in the Fortnite map?

One of the challenges in Fortnite Season 3 asks players to land at the Yacht and finish top 25. Players simply need to land at the Yacht, and then survive long enough to make it to the final 25 players alive. The Yacht referenced in the challenge is not the ship where Meowscles resided in Season 2, but an entirely new location that must be discovered.

fortnite chapter 2 season 2 yacht

The Yacht can be found just northwest of Craggy Cliffs, stationed in the water. Before discovering the location, the yacht will be shadowed out. Since it’s an unnamed point of interest, “The Yacht” will still not be listed on the map after visiting it.

Now all you have to do is land here after jumping from the battle bus, and then survive to the top 25. There’s bound to be a large number of players all landing at the Yacht to start the game, also looking to complete the challenge. We advise that you land and then make a quick escape, or prepare for a fight.

Now that you know where the Yacht is in the Fortnite map, you’re ready to cross off another challenge on your way to leveling up the battle pass and unlocking that exclusive Aquaman skin . Donovan Erskine posted a new article, Where is the Yacht in the Fortnite map?

Hello, Meet Lola

Every Season Of Fortnite, Ranked

Fortnite is one of the most popular games and part of this is due to the game reinvigorating itself with season updates.

  • Chapter 2: Season 8 - Cubed was an unmemorable season compared to others, despite interesting concepts and new locations like Corny Crops and The Convergence.
  • Season X - Out of Time didn't offer enough new content, with few cosmetics and overwhelming gameplay changes, despite the epic black hole climax and return of fan-favorite locations.
  • Chapter 2: Season 1 - A New World was underwhelming, with very few updates and additions, disappointing fans after the epic conclusion of Chapter
  • The addition of boats and fishing was a cool feature though.

Fortnite was already a unique experience when it first launched back in July of 2017. It put the classic battle-royale mode back in the spotlight of gaming, leading to many other games trying their hand at the formula since. One thing that has helped the game remain fresh for as long as it has, however, is the implementation of seasons.

Fortnite: Ranking The 10 Best Twists In The Game

Each season allows players to unlock special items in a Battle Pass, play different kinds of limited-time game modes, and bring new map changes that can really affect how games are played. There have been 28 of them so far, with each one having a huge impact on the game. Some of them have been a lot more memorable than others though.

Updated April 3, 2023, by Ashely Claudino: Fortnite's Battle Royale game mode has been around for over six year, and this entire time has been unexpectedly wild for Epic Games as well as all Fortnite players. Fans have had the opportunity to experience dozens of different season themes and hundreds of new game updates.

Players got to experience a full season in the Chapter 5 map since this article was last updated, so it is time to take into consideration Chapter 5 Season 1 and add it to this list, which includes all 28 Fortnite seasons to date.

28 Chapter 2 Season 8

Fortnite cubed.

  • Period: September 13, 2021 - December 4, 2021
  • Duration: 82 days
  • Theme : Cube Corruption
  • New Locations: Corny Crops and The Convergence

Chapter 2 Season 8 was the last season of the second Fortnite chapter. It had some interesting concepts, such as The Mothership; it introduced gamers to the iconic Fabio Sparklemane had Carnage as part of its Battle Pass, but despite this, it can be considered somewhat unmemorable when compared to some more exciting or nostalgic-riddled seasons.

27 Chapter 4 Season 3

Fortnite wilds.

  • Period: June 9, 2023 - August 25, 2023
  • Duration: 76 days
  • Theme: Jungle
  • New Locations: Rumble Ruins, Creeky Compound, Shady Stilts

Fortnite: All Chapter 4 Season 3 Battle Pass Skins

Fortnite WILDS brought a lot of interesting concepts to the table, but it just wasn't as captivating as it could've been. It was released once the MEGA Season came to an end, so after such a chaotic and fun season, it fell short of some fans' expectations. However, it did introduce players to the jungle biome as well as mud, an interesting new gameplay mechanic, and it added lots of fun temples filled with loot ready to be explored.

26 Chapter 1 Season X

Out of time.

  • Period: August 1, 2019 - October 13, 2019
  • Duration: 74 days
  • Theme: Time
  • New Locations: Dusty Depot, Gotham City, Greasy Grove, Moisty Palms, Pandora, Retail Row, Starry Suburbs, The Cube, The Meteor, and Tilted Town

Though the black hole climax was undeniably epic and the return of some fan-favorite locations was a nice touch, Season X of Fortnite just didn't offer up nearly enough new content to keep the game feeling fresh. There were hardly any new cosmetics in the battle pass, with players instead having to make do with upgraded skins from Season 9. The changes made to gameplay weren't bad, per se, but the sheer volume of them was perhaps a little overwhelming to some players.

25 Chapter 2 Season 1

A new world.

  • Period: October 15, 2019 - February, 2020
  • Duration: 128 days
  • Theme: New Beginnings
  • New Locations: Craggy Cliffs, Dirty Docks, Frenzy Farm, Holly Hedges, Lazy Lake, Misty Meadows, Steamy Stacks, Slurpy Swamp, Sweaty Sands, and Weeping Woods

After a couple of days of downtime, Fortnite returned with a brand new map and the longest season to date. Sadly, like Season X, the first season of Chapter 2 was a little underwhelming, with very few updates coming throughout the season. The addition of boats and fishing was kind of cool, as was the harpoon, but many fans were expecting a little more after the epic conclusion of Chapter 1.

24 Chapter 2 Season 6

  • Period: March 16, 2021 - June 8, 2021
  • Duration: 84 days
  • Theme: Wildlife
  • New Locations: Bat Shack, Boney Burbs, Colossal Crops, Guardian of the Bay, Guardian of the Fields, Guardian of the Lake, Guardian of the Mountains, Guardian of the Sea, Guardian of the Woods, Isla Nublada, Primal Pond, and The Spire

A lot of care and attention seems to have gone into curating the new skins for Chapter 2: Season 6 , but perhaps not quite enough thought was given to the gameplay tweaks. Things did improve a little towards the end of the season and the Zero Crisis storyline had a satisfying conclusion. For a game that's built much of its success around its combat though, many players were expecting quite a bit more, particularly from the weapons .

23 Chapter 3 Season 4

  • Period: September 18, 2022 - December 3, 2022
  • Theme: Chrome
  • New Locations: Cloudy Condos, Flutter Barn, Chromejam Junction, Chrome Crossroads, Grim Gables, Fort Jonesy, Reality Tree, Herald's Sanctum, Lustrous Lagoon, Shimmering Shrine, Shiny Sound

During Chapter 3 Season 4, a strange substance called Chrome took over the peaceful Paradise Island. Gamers could cover themselves in Chrome to move around faster, use fast-paced Chrome weapons, and take down the Herald in an intimidating Chrome fortress.

The lore wasn't as deep during this season, but the gameplay was quite a lot of fun, especially during the Fortnitemares event, as DJ Lyka put on a great show at the Reality Tree and players could turn into wolves.

22 Chapter 4 Season 4

Last resort.

  • Period: August 25, 2023 - November 3, 2023
  • Duration: 70 days
  • Theme: Heist
  • New Locations: Eclipsed Estate, Relentless Retreat Sanguine Suites, The Getaway

Fortnite: All Chapter 4 Season 4 Battle Pass Skins

Chapter 4 Season 4 was the last season of the fourth chapter, so it was the last time that players got to enjoy Asteria Island before it was replaced. Even though the heist theme was quite interesting, it fell short for many gamers, especially compared to Chapter 2 Season 2, which was arguably a more entertaining version of it with now classic Fortnite skins.

On top of this, the skins included in the Last Resort Battle Pass were not memorable at all; it is unlikely that gamers in the future will recall any of its skins besides Ahsoka and Fish Thicc.

21 Chapter 5 Season 1

Fortnite underground.

  • Period: December 3, 2023 - March 8, 2024
  • Duration: 96 days
  • Theme: The Society
  • New Locations: Rebel's Roost, Classy Courts, Lavish Lair, Ritzy Riviera, Reckless Railways, Grand Glacier, Ruined reels, Hazy Hillside, Fencing Fields, Pleasant Piazza, Snooty Steppes

Fortnite: All Chapter 5 Season 1 Battle Pass Skins

Even though many players consider Fortnite OG, the season before Chapter 5 Season 1, to be peak Fortnite , as it replicated many aspects of the first Chapter 1, some were happy to see the return of more mechanics and more complex locations.

Chapter 5 brought quality of life changes, such as the ability to drink shields and apply medkits while walking, and it added brand-new features that were immediately a success, like the Society Medallions, which continued with the Aspect of the Gods medallions in the Myths & Mortals season. What set this season back for many players is the fact that it redid an already overused theme, and that's spies and heists.

20 Chapter 2 Season 2

  • Period: February 20, 2020 - June 17, 2020
  • Duration: 118 days
  • Theme: Secret Agents
  • New Locations: The Agency, The Grotto, The Rig, The Shark, and The Yacht

Sometimes referred to as Season 12, Chapter 2: Season 2 brought big changes with it when it went live in early 2020. A spy-themed Battle Pass introduced players to some great new points of interest that instantly became fan favorites due to the awesome loot they had. Having Deadpool as a secret skin was also fantastic and just adds to the list of incredible crossovers Fortnite has had with other big-name franchises.

19 Chapter 1 Season 9

The future is yours.

  • Period: May 9, 2019 - July 31, 2019
  • Theme: Futuristic
  • New Locations: Mega Mall, Neo Tilted, and Pressure Plant

Season 9 of Fortnite definitely had its ups and downs, yet Epic Games should be praised for the ambitious changes they added throughout the season. Neo-Tilted was the new hot-drop spot full of futuristic skyscrapers and whirlwinds of air that could move players quickly across the city. Replacing the pump shotgun with the combat shotgun was a controversial decision at the time, but players eventually realized that the combat shotgun is actually a very effective weapon.

18 Chapter 2 Season 3

  • Period: June 17, 2020 - August 6, 2020
  • Theme: Aquatics
  • New Locations: Catty Corner, Coral Castle, Rickety Rig, The Authority, and The Fortilla

After a slow start to Chapter 2, its third season made quite the splash with players when it finally arrived in June 2020. The Aquaman Challenges were a lot of fun and there was a strong selection of cosmetic rewards included in the battle pass. The decision to replace the pump-action shotgun with the charge shotgun was a little controversial, but the season was otherwise warmly received by the player base.

17 Chapter 3 Season 2

  • Period: March 20, 22 - June 4, 2022
  • Theme: Imagined Order vs. The Seven
  • New Locations: The Fortress, Command Cavern, Synapse Station, Daily Rubble and The Collider

Fortnite: 5 Best Skins In The Game (& The 5 Worst)

Chapter 3 Season 2 was all about the war between the IO and The Seven. It was very lore-heavy and it brought a lot of destruction to the Battle Royale island. For those who enjoy Fortnite 's background story, it definitely one of the most interesting seasons. And the same goes for those who enjoy Fortnite collab skins , as it included both Doctor Strange and The Prowler.

16 Chapter 3 Season 1

  • Period: December 5, 2021 - March 19, 2022
  • Duration: 104 days
  • Theme: Island flip
  • New Locations: Condo Canyon, Chonker's Speedway, Covert Cavern, Sleepy Sound, Camp Cuddle, Rocky Reels, Logjam Luberyard, The Joneses, Sanctuary, Coney Crossroad, The Daily Bugle

Following the Chapter 2 Season 8 live event, the Fortnite island was flipped over, and it made way for the Flipped season - the first of Chapter 3. This was a fun, hectic season, and players got to play a new map after Chapter 2's two-year duration. On top of this, it included some of the most memorable Battle Pass skins, such as Spider-Man and The Foundation.

15 Chapter 1 Season 6

Darkness rises.

  • Period: September 27, 2018 - December 5, 2018
  • Theme: Darkness
  • New Locations: Corn Fields, Corrupted Areas, Floating Island, and Haunted Castle

Things got a little bit spookier in Fortnite with the release of Season 6. This season fell around Halloween as well, so developers made the map feel much darker than players had become accustomed to, which came as a welcome surprise to many. This season added zombies to the battle royale, which at first felt like a fun addition, although some felt that the zombies were completely ruining end-game situations.

14 Chapter 2 Season 7

  • Period: June 8, 2021 - September 12, 2021
  • Theme: Aliens
  • New Locations: Believer Beach, Cargo Craft, Corny Complex, Dampy Dish, Deep Woods Dish, Defiant Dish, Destined Dish, Dinky Dish, Discovery Dish, Dockside Dish, Food Fighter, Steamy Spaceship, and The Aftermath

The alien invasion theme that punctuates the seventeenth season of Fortnite is incredibly well-written and is clearly building to another Epic event. The gameplay changes weren't too obtrusive and the alien-themed cosmetics all looked great too. The Rick Sanchez skin also seemed pretty fitting given the theme.

13 Chapter 3 Season 3

  • Period: June 5, 2022 - September 17
  • Theme: Summer Fun
  • New Locations : Reality Falls, Rave Cave, Lazy Lagoon, Neo Butter Barn, Sleepy Shrubs, and Shuffled Shrines

Fortnite: New Gameplay Features in Chapter 3

After the chaos that Chapter 3 Season 2 brought, the inhabitants of the Battle Royale island decided to sit back, relax, and plant some Reality Saplings; Chapter 3 Season 3 is all about vibing and chilling. Just like Chapter 1 Season 5, it's a summer season with tons of fun water landmarks; during this time, Fortnite event hosted the No Sweat Summer event.

12 Chapter 1 Season 7

You better watch out.

  • Period: December 6, 2018 - February 27, 2019
  • Theme: Winter
  • New Locations: Frosty Flights, Happy Hamlet, Polar Peak, and The Block

The winter-themed Season 7 of Fortnite did a lot of great things to help move the game forward during a time in which some believed the game was getting stale. The addition of planes completely changed the way players got around the map, making matches feel a bit faster with traversal being so quick and easy. The winter-themed areas were another first for the game and the battle-pass included some great skins, including the upgradable Lynx, which became a fan-favorite.

11 Chapter 1 Season 5

Worlds collide.

  • Period: July 12, 2018 - September 26, 2018
  • Duration: 77 days
  • Theme: Spacetime Rifts
  • New Locations: Lazy Links, Paradise Palms, Tomato Temple, and Viking Village

Even though a lot of gamers were initially disappointed with the battle-pass skins, the map updates and new weapon introductions made Season 5 a blast to play . The theme of the battle-pass was rifts in time and space, which allowed Epic Games to create areas such as Viking Mountain. Weapons and items such as the Rift-to-Go, Heavy Sniper, Double Barrel Shotgun, and so many more made this a season that all players could enjoy.

10 Chapter 1 Season 1

Original fortnite.

  • Period: October 25, 2017 - December 13, 2017
  • Duration: 50 days
  • Theme: Battle Royale
  • New Locations: Anarchy Acres, Dusty Depot, Fatal Fields, Flush Factory, Greasy Grove, Lonely Lodge, Loot Lake, Moisty Mire, Pleasant Park, Retail Row, Tomato Town, and Wailing Woods

Fortnite: 10 Forgotten Chapter 2 Skins

While most of Fortnite's player base never experienced the earliest days of the game, Season 1 laid the groundwork for what would become one of the biggest games of all time. Gameplay felt a lot different because everyone was new to the game, so building wasn't utilized nearly as much as it is now. Fortnite has done an impeccable job of making building easier since Season 1, with updates allowing builds to go through trees and adding the builder-pro option for controller players.

9 Chapter 1 Season 8

X marks the spot.

  • Period: February 28, 2019 - May 8, 2019
  • Theme: Pirate Adventure
  • New Locations: Lazy Lagoon, Sunny Steps, and Volcano

While Season 7 took players to a wintery wonderland, Season 8 instead had players battling it out in a pirate's paradise full of palm trees. The battle-pass included some solid skin additions to the game such as the Peely skin, which has become a classic skin still worn by many Fortnite players to this day. A new limited-time "the floor is lava" mode was added in this season as well, which really was one of the best-limited modes Fortnite has ever released.

All Mythic Items in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 (Korra Quest)

Image of Brent Koepp

To unlock the new Legend of Korra skin in Fortnite , you will need to obtain four Mythic Items to complete Page 1 of her character quests. This guide will break down where to find all Mythic Items in Fortnite and show you how to complete the “Collect Mythic Items” quest for Korra.

Collect Mythic Items Korra Quest in Fortnite

What are the Mythic Items in Fortnite Korra Quest

As of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, there are a total of six Mythic Items you can collect. So if you are looking at completing the “Collect Mythic Items” Korra quest, you are going to have to pick up at least four of these. Thankfully you don’t have to do this all in one match. In fact, it’s a lot easier to do this in multiple sessions, given the quest can be a bit buggy.

Below is a list of the Mythic Items in Fortnite that count towards your Korra quest and where to find them:

  • Brawler’s Battleground (Defeat Ares’ boss fight)
  • Mount Olympus (Defeat Zeus boss fight)
  • Grim Gate (Defeat Cerberus boss fight)
  • The Underworld (Defeat Hades boss fight)
  • Marigold Yacht (Purchase from Midas for 600 Gold Bars)
  • Random drop in Chests and Overworld Spawns)

How to Collect Mythic Items in Fortnite Korra Quest

The easiest way to complete the Collect Mythic Items Korra quest in Fortnite is to find the Thunderbolt of Zeus or Waterbending scroll. Both Mythic Items can be found in any chest on the map and can even be found as an overworld drop. So, if you play enough games, you should be able to stumble upon them sooner rather than later. However, if you don’t want to leave things up to random chance, there are five locations in Fortnite with a guaranteed Mythic Item.

Starting with Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, there are four Gods you can battle at the Underworld, Grim Gate, Mount Olympus, or Brawler’s Battleground locations. Defeating these boss fights will guarantee you a Mythic Item and a Medallion. You can also drop on the Marigold Yacth east of The Underworld and Grim Gate and purchase a Mythic Drum Gun from Midas’ for 600 Gold Bars.

Below is a map of where you can get Mythic Items in Fortnite :

All Mythic Items locations in Fortnite

As I mentioned above, obtaining Mythic Items at these locations might be difficult. These are key spots on the map where tons of players will be dropping in at the same time. An easier method is to just play a match and look for a Thunderbolt of Zeus in a random chest or location on the map. Although they are a random drop, so you may have to explore a bit before you can pick one up.

With the debut of Korra in Fortnite , the battle royale also received the new Waterbending Mythic Item. This golden scroll will give you the power of the Avatar and let you bend water at opponents. Just like the Thunderbolt of Zeus, this Mythic Item can be found in random chests or overworld drops.

Waterbending Mythic Item in Fortnite

You may have to participate in multiple matches to complete the “Collect Mythic Items” Korra quest. For some reason, my game wouldn’t register me picking up two different Thunderbolt of Zeus items during the same match. You might also have to earn the Mythic Items yourself for them to count. For example, I killed an opponent who had Ares’ Warforged Assault Rifle, and for some reason, my quest didn’t register it.

After completing the “Collect Mythic Items” Korra quest, you unlock the Avatar’s Descent Contrail in Fortnite . If you are a fan of the Legend of Korra or The Last Airbender , this is a really cool item to add to your account. When you drop into a match from the party bus, you will have the four elements swirling around you like you’ve gone into the Avatar State.

Assassin Unknown - Emoticon - Fortnite

Previously the start date was meant to be on December 13th 2019, but was postponed to February 6th 2020 to make way for the holidays and the Live At Risky event. Then, on January 24th 2020, Epic Games announced that they would postpone it again to February 20th 2020 to reveal secrets from the previous season and test Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics system.

It was originally set to end on April 30th 2020, but possibly due to players complaining about having too little XP to earn the Golden Agent Styles of the Battle Pass Outfits, as well as issues revolving around COVID-19, it was extended. Unlike last season, the expansion came with more challenges, more ways to earn XP and more updates with content. It was extended another time, due to the next season being unready. It was then extended yet again due to "the ongoing injustice in society," implying the George Floyd protests.

The theme revolved around Secret Agents concerning SHADOW and GHOST .

Previously, in Fortnite... [ ]

Following the reconstruction of the island due to The End , The Imagined Order sent a group of people from E.G.O. on the island, dedicated to exploring the brand new island. However, a mysterious group named A.L.T.E.R. whose members strangely resemble those of E.G.O is already present on the island (however this only applies to some members, since during the season other A.L.T.E.R members appear but do not have alter-egos at E.G.O). Throughout Chapter 2: Season 1, a battle occurred between the two factions. Near the very end of the season, Chaos Agent was seen observing the battle in the shadows.

How did it start? [ ]

Seeing the ongoing battle between E.G.O. and A.L.T.E.R. going on in the Island , Midas , leader of GHOST , arrives in the Island with other 4 agents and builds an Oil Rig, a Mansion, a Yacht, an underground Secret Base and an Agency to fight against SHADOW , with him and the other agents being responsible for a location.

The Chapter 2: Season 2 storyline [ ]

At the very start of Chapter 2: Season 2, Midas activated several sleeper agents battling loopers within The Loop . These included: Lynx , Bushranger , Brutus , Agent Peely , and even Journey .

Throughout the season, it's revealed that the war between GHOST and SHADOW is nothing more than a way for Midas and his daughter Jules to work on constructing his Device underneath The Agency (consisting of one large orb machine, and five pylons) without anyone suspecting, as Midas does not need GHOST or SHADOW as much as they need him. The orb machine was hidden underneath the main building itself, while the pylons were underneath five newly-built hatches under the water surrounding The Agency. Midas wanted to destroy The Storm , which would subsequently break The Loop and escape it. Midas' project was going directly against the Imagined Order , who wanted to preserve The Loop and keep it running.

Near the very end of the season, Midas began charging the orb machine. The Device went through three stages. Initially, a bright yellow 'core' appeared within the orb, consisting of pure energy. Next, tendril-like structures were emitted from the core, slamming into the outer glass of the orb. At the final stage, the core grew bigger and brighter, and the tendrils grew larger and stronger. At this point, some of the tendrils managed to breach the outer casing, although they were channeled and rerouted back into the orb. While this happened, No Sweat Insurance built themselves a new office in Lazy Lake and insured Pleasant Park , Sweaty Sands , Frenzy Farm and Holly Hedges against a flood scenario, with dozens of No Sweat Insurance signs being placed on those POIs.

On June 13th, the countdown for Midas' plan appeared above The Agency .

The Device event [ ]

When the countdown for The Device event reached zero, the storm had already closed in around The Agency during the later stages of a particular loop. Five pylons emerged from the five hatches surrounding the Agency. Once the five pylons completely rose out of the hatches, an energised bubble appeared around The Agency, which violently contracted and exploded, completely decimating The Agency. As the dust settled, The orb machine emerged from the ruins of The Agency. It rose high up on an elevated platform, and stopped once it reached a high height. This was followed by a large shockwave, causing all the loopers to levitate into the air. The Device activated, and the orb machine hooked up to the five pylons using energy beams. Then, the pylons collectively hit against The Storm barrier, and started to push it back. This seemingly contradicted the structure of a normal loop, in which the storm closes in until the entire island is consumed. In this case, the storm was being pushed back, which partially damaged The Loop, transporting a particular looper to The Bridge , located outside The Loop.

Inside The Bridge, the looper was spawned in Agent Jones ' office, containing a desk, computer, and three filed labeled 'TOP SECRET', containing the images of Midas, Lynx, and Jules. The Looper did not spend a long time in Jones' office though, and soon, the loop seemingly repaired itself and returned The Looper back to the island.

Back at The Agency, the device seemed to have malfunctioned, as the energy supplied by the orb to the pylons diminished with every second. Eventually, the orb machine completely switched off, but not before seemingly breaking the storm barrier. Without the barrier, and nothing to stop it, The Storm began to rapidly close in on The Agency, threatening to kill everyone there. However, right before The Agency was swallowed, the orb machine rebooted, quickly hooking up to the pylons and slamming the storm once again. This action restarted the storm barrier, and the machine began to push back at The Storm once again. However, this time, The Storm resisted and closed in on The Agency. In the ensuing battle between Device and Storm, The Device emerged victorious, and The Storm was quickly pushed back and completely vanished..

As the pylons began retracting back into their hatches, The Loop started to collapse. A single bolt of energy slammed into the orb machine from the sky, disabling and rendering it unusable. The orb machine then proceeded to retract back down underneath the destroyed Agency, as the loop collapsed and returned that particular looper to Jones' office. There, Agent Jones could have been heard talking in the hallway outside about the problem facing The Imagined Order. Jones could have been heard saying ''(to phone) Uh no. E-everything is NOT stable over here. We are act- (to Janice) Uh, Janice! Janice! Uh, dial the Resonance Actuator to 7.2. Now, please. Yes, right now." Janice replies "I'm on it." Through the closed curtains, Janice could have been seen rushing down the hallway towards the presumed 'Resonance Actuator', a device which is likely used to control The Storm. Jonesy starts talking to his phone again after hearing something from the other end. "(to phone) Wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on, hold on... "Its not just a storm?" What does that mean? Must be connected to the loop, but there's no way that we could have predicted that it would react THIS way. At this-". The above text highlights that Jones has just found out that The Storm is not simply a storm, as The Loop depends upon it to function. He appears to have been stunned that The Loop completely collapsed in the storm's absence, and that they had not predicted that kind of event. However, the above conversation is not finished as the looper is transported back to the island.

Upon return, it is revealed that The Storm reacted to Midas trying to destroy it, creating a giant tsunami, held by the barrier of the Storm.

"(to phone) And that worked? How long do you think it'll hold?" That brief conversation suggests that The Imagined Order managed to contain the wall of water for some time. Jones asks how long the storm barrier will hold before it fails and unleashes the wall of water onto the island. After getting an unknown answer, Jones states that everything is starting to stabilize, and enters his office. He is stunned to see The Looper, and asks whether he/she can hear him or not, as it seems like a Looper has never managed to break out of The Loop and enter The Bridge without travelling through The Zero Point. Before The Looper could reply, he/she is transported back to the island in the battle bus, as the loop reset is now complete.

Following the event, Midas having failed with his mission, goes SHADOW .

SHADOW seized the opportunity and takes over The Agency ruins, removing all E.G.O flags and placing their own. SHADOW henchmen now patrol the area instead of the usual GHOST henchmen.
