The 50m/164'1" motor yacht 'Amare II' (ex. Amare) was built by Heesen in the Netherlands at their Oss shipyard. Her interior is styled by Italian designer design house Cristiano Gatto Design and she was delivered to her owner in June 2020. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Omega Architects.

Amare II has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising one VIP cabin. The supremely spacious full beam master suite incorporates its own study. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Amare II is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel-electric MTU (12V 2000 M61) 12-cylinder 805hp engines running at 2300rpm, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 16 knots with a range of up to 3,750 nautical miles from her 45,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Her low draft of 2.15m/7'1" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. Her water tanks store around 16,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Yachting Service, Ⓔ, ✠AMS classification society rules.

'Crossing borders and Synergy' is the operative logo of Omega Architects. The company was founded by Frank Laupman in 1995. Ever since then he has worked on architecture, yachts and interiors. He was able to ‘cross the borders’ of his own background and finish designs in areas of different nature.

€5.4M price drop on 50m Heesen motor yacht Amare II

A €5,400,000 price drop has been announced on the 49.8-metre Heesen motor yacht Amare II, listed for sale with Florian Vinciguerra of Behnemar .

She was built under the codename Project Electra and delivered in 2020 as the second hull in Heesen’s 50-metre 5000 class of aluminium yachts. As with her sistership Home , she features a reverse bow paired with a hybrid propulsion system and is optimised for efficiency. 

Her Fast Displacement Hull Form is from the drawing boards of naval architects Van Oossanen while the interior was designed by Cristiano Gatto with styling by Sabrina Monte-Carlo. Amare II  sports exterior design by  Omega Architects ' Frank Laupman.

Extensive use of glass is evident in the main saloon and owner's cabin, situated on the main deck. Accommodation is for a total of 12, with five more cabins on the lower deck, only used privately as the yacht has never been chartered.

Gentle pastel colours and contemporary furnishing is the theme and it makes for a calm and relaxing environment, especially when running in silent mode. Wood soles and considerable use of marble in the bathrooms complement the soft furnishings. There are quarters for a crew of 10.

A well-equipped gym and a sauna, combined with a beach club aft and Jacuzzi up top, encourage healthy living on board.

The 499GT yacht for sale has a maximum speed of 16.3 knots under twin MTU 12V 2000 M61 engines. In silent mode the vessel runs at a speed of up to nine knots. She has a range of 3,750 nautical miles at 12 knots with Naiad stabilisers to keep her steady.

Presently ABS class, for private use, the broker pointed out that she could be switched to become commercially classed should a future owner wish to offer her for charter.

Amare II 's asking price is now €31,500,000 with VAT paid.

AMARE II reached a top speed of 17.2 knots (0.9 knots more than guaranteed in the contract) with the diesel engines. In the silent mode, the vessel has a speed of 10.2 knots.

Cristiano Gatto designed a very bright interior with the Vitra Lounge Chair & Ottoman that fits perfectly. Sabrina Monte-Carlo styled the interior with items in soft pastel color by Italian brands like B&B Italia, Paola Lenti, Porta Romana, and Giorgetti.

AMARE II welcomes twelve guests in six cabins. The owner’s suite on the main deck forward includes an office, full-beam bedroom, vanity, and separate headroom. The lower deck contains a full-beam VIP suite, two twin cabins, and two double cabins. A crew of nine sleeps in five cabins. Moreover, the vessel has a gym and a sauna.

Delivery of YN 19150 Amare II

Heesen is delighted to announce that after intensive sea trials in the North Sea, YN 19150 was delivered to her Owners on June 19, 2020. The sea trials took place over three days earlier in May, in sea state 2 with an average wind speed of 3 Beaufort.

Amare II, formerly known as Project Electra, is the second in Heesen’s hybrid series with distinctive exterior lines by Omega Architects. At 50 metres below 500GT, Amare II offers the luxury of silent cruising coupled with frugal fuel consumption thanks to her lightweight aluminium Fast Displacement Hull Form. Devised by Van Oossanen and engineered by Heesen’s in-house team of experts, the hull of Amare II was welded to the highest tolerances at Heesen’s facility in Oss. The Dutch shipyard’s in-house luxury cabinet maker company, Heesen Interiors, perfectly crafted the fine furniture penned by Italian designer Cristiano Gatto.

During the sea trials, Amare II exceeded the contractual speed by 0.9 knots reaching a top speed of 17.2 knots in diesel mode, and 10.2 knots in silent mode, with noise and vibrations in line with the specifications.

Delivering a superyacht during the Covid-19 pandemic was a challenge that Heesen rose to and overcame. This was achieved thanks to the swift reorganisation of the in-house work schedule, which was adapted to meet governmental regulations and ensure the safety of all staff and suppliers involved in the operations. Tests at sea were performed with minimum crew in order to guarantee the necessary physical distancing and extra safety measures were put in place.

Captain Brenden Scott, an experienced Heesen captain, arrived in the Netherlands just prior to the lockdown and in time to supervise the completion and fine-tuning of the yacht. He succeeded in putting together a full crew to run Amare II for the coming summer season.

The Owners appointed Sabrina Monte-Carlo to style their new yacht. Highly contemporary pieces in soft pastel colours characterise the style of the interior décor. Brands such as B&B Italia, Paola Lenti, Giorgetti, Porta Romana – all of which are based in Italy – worked ardently following the two-month Italian lockdown to deliver the loose furniture carefully selected by the Monegasque decorator. Thanks to the long-standing relationship between Sabrina Monte-Carlo and these premium brands, the delivery only experienced the smallest of delays.

Amare II is privately owned and will cruise in the Mediterranean for the summer season.
