“THE place to be for Sunday Brunch in Montgomery!” Review of Walden Yacht Club

If you are in Walden on Sunday, don't miss the brunch! Excellent selection, magnificent views, great service and so affordable! We always take our guests here, and recently had my mother's 90th birthday party there. I'd give this place 6 stars for brunch! We've only had dinner there a couple of times, not nearly as impressed with the food or prices during the week. But the staff is always top notch!

We had dinner at the usually reliable Walden Yacht Club this past weekend. Much to our surprise the Club was nearly empty when we arrived to meet friends for dinner at 7PM. Normally on a Saturday evening the Club would be much busier. Our food was good, but it took the kitchen a long time to produce our meals. A new policy apparently exists wherein if you want a table cloth on your table you need to request it when making your reservation. Not long ago we understand there was some significant staff turnover. Many of the long time wait staff remain. Overall service this night was spotty. We will go back again but we’re disappointed this time.

Always a great place for special occasions and holidays. The buffers for special days like Thanksgiving, Easter and Mother/Father’s Day are consistently the same, but that’s ok, because it’s always good!

The food was good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was delightful! There was live music too!

Very good place to dine. Large great lake views. Very good wait staff. Nightly specials. Good wine list. Very good prices.

The rental fee ranges from $1,050 to $1,250 for a reception and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The set up fee for a ceremony ranges from $900 to $1,100 with reception rental. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $500/hr. Please note there is a guest count minimum of 100 guests only on events held on Sundays.
