A Detailed Look At The Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS

Launched in 2009, the Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is one of the most spectacular sports cars ever built.

Emile Pop and Justin de Boer, two Dutch students, have been hard at work on the Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS, their supercar creation. Despite its unappealing moniker, the automobile has a stunning appearance. The duo's first full-scale prototype debuted at AutoRAI in Amsterdam before being flown to Monte Carlo for Top Marques Monaco. Notable designs on the car included a retractable hardtop that opens and closes in less than 20 seconds. The supercar , which is built without B-pillars and has a two-tone paint job, is said to be inspired by luxury boats. The body is composed of carbon fiber, and the chassis is made of chrome steel. A fantastic layout of Alcantara, aluminum, and carbon fiber awaits the driver on the inside.

Meanwhile, the floorboard is composed of teak wood, which, if left unupholstered, will still look great. Although typical on yachts and so in line with the boat theme, a lighter-weight material may have been utilized for the floor, if it will be covered with carpeting.

Regardless, the weight of a Corvette ZR1 powertrain is still modest at 2,822 lbs. Toyo T1R tires are wrapped over the custom-made Tenzo 19-inch wheels. DBM brakes the vehicle with eight- and four-piston monoblocks holding 380 mm or 355 mm discs.

Motio Development, based in Eindhoven, Netherlands, contributed to the project by assisting with 3D modeling. The foam molds were provided by Komplot Mechanics, and the body panels were provided by Rep-air Composites. Corus, the steel behemoth, contributed to the chassis’ materials. Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is expected to be produced in 20 units at a rate of four per year, according to Pop and de Boer. They are actively seeking investors, intending to start production in 2010.

Savage, a Dutch automaker, has been hard at work on the Rivale Roadyacht GTS, a four-door “topless on-demand” supercar, for the past couple of years. The initial prototype model was released in 2008, with a 2009 production model planned. Savage completed their one-of-a-kind supercar and debuted it at the Top Marques Monaco on April 14, 2011, two years after the intended premiere.

Since then, Savage has shifted its attention to pure design, not only for the automotive industry but also for luxury residences and boats. The Roadyacht GTS isn’t dead, either, as Green Lord Motors (GLM), a Japanese electric car startup, has launched an electric version of the car. Some car enthusiasts may recall that GLM already sells an electric sports car, the Tommykaira ZZ EV.

At the 2016 Paris auto show, GLM debuted the electrified version of the Roadyacht GTS. The GLM G4 is the new name for it. The G4 has a combined output of 536 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque thanks to electric motors on both axles. As a result, the car can accelerate from zero to sixty miles per hour in under 3.7 seconds.

The Rivale Roadyacht GTS is the product of three men’s wild imaginations who think that every dream should be realized. Their fantasy became a limited edition supercar with only 20 units available in three exterior colors. According to Savage, this will be the world’s first four-door “topless on-demand” supercar. It combines a “bad-boy” exterior design element with a yachting-inspired interior. The Rivale Roadyacht GTS is built with a convertible body type.

The Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS Features Exterior And Interior Masterclass

The molybdenum chassis of the Roadyacht GTS is paired with carbon body panels. It has a large, muscular back end and an aggressive cut front end. Carbon fiber, aluminum, and Alcantara make up the inside. The seats are composed of carbon fiber and are fully electric with heating and memory, while the dashboard is controlled by a Touchscreen. The Supercar has a champagne cooler and digital music center that would give you the desired comfort. An anti-theft sec5 system and a unique keyless entry built-in watch are also available. Wildfire orange, waterline white, and gunmetal gray are the three exterior colors available.

The Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 670 horsepower at 6200 rpm and a 538 pound-feet of torque at 4800 rpm. The engine, when combined with an automatic transmission, consumes only 9.4 liters every 62 miles and can accelerate the automobile from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 205 mph . Other features include front and rear double wishbone suspension, an eight piston monobloc 380 mm two piece brake discs for the front, and a four piston monobloc 355 mm two piece brake discs for the rear.

Although prices for the Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS have not yet been announced, we expect this 20-unit limited edition model to be expensive . Last year, JamesList featured a listing for pre-orders of the automobile, with a price of about $547,000. We can only expect the price to fluctuate slightly, however, if this automobile seems appealing to you, then this price could be a reasonable starting point. The Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS’s first official film has been released, adding to the increasing consensus that this is one of the most fantastic niche supercars to emerge from the market in recent history.
