Northwest 70

Northwest 70 Details

There is a lot of competition in the 70-foot expedition trawler-style cockpit motor yacht range, but the Northwest 70 set itself apart as an innovator built with safety and comfort in mind. Whether driving from the beautiful flybridge on nicer days or running her from the inside helm in the deckhouse, captains on board will appreciate the steady ride that the uniquely designed hull and 19’ 11” beam provides. Powered with John Deere 6135 SFM85 750hp engines, the Northwest 70 will cruise at between 10 and 14 knots with a top end speed in the high teens. Cruising at 10 knots will give the 70 a range of over 1,200 nautical miles (with reserves and genset running).

The Northwest 70 features a 3-stateroom layout with an amazing master suite, VIP suite, and an additional guest room with twin bunks. The captain on board has his own stateroom in the pilothouse. The master suite boasts a king sized berth, ample storage, a built-in settee, and a center island with drawers. There is a head inside the master stateroom accented with Corian counter tops and sinks and owners have the choice of Cork, Teak, Oak, or Amtico flooring. The VIP stateroom has a queen-sized berth that includes a hydraulic lift for accessing storage beneath the mattress, along with lots of storage space. Lori Harvey showed off a racy leopard-printed bikini on vacation in St. Tropez Tuesday, relaxing on a luxurious yacht as she soaked up the sun with her family.

The 27-year-old model and swimwear entrepreneur — whose father is comedian Steve Harvey — struck various poses while perched on a railing in some sizzling pics she shared on her Instagram Story .

The socialite shaded her face from the sun in a straw cowboy hat and accessorized with a pair of chic sunglasses, a diamond-trimmed gold Jacquie Aiche belly chain ($8,525), several ankle bracelets and chunky gold earrings by Fiery Jewelry ($65).

She enjoyed some music with her family on board, sharing videos of herself dancing and also taking a trip down a slide into the sea before rinsing off in an outdoor shower.

Although the Yevrah Swim founder didn’t appear to be rocking one of her own designs, she did make her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut this year in a Yevrah bikini, among other striking suits.

Harvey’s shoot was part of the magazine’s 60th-anniversary  edition this May and also featured fellow SI Swim rookie stars Brittany Mahomes and Gayle King .

The SKN by LH skincare founder told SI Swim  that posing for the mag was a “dream come true.”

“I would say the three words that I would use to describe it would be manifested, surreal and perfection because it was literally a moment that I manifested,” she said.

Perhaps she can manifest more leopard-print moments this summer.

2004 Northwest Jet Boats northstar,This is a great boat. Northwest makes one of the best aluminum boats money can buy. I have had it for 7 years and am the 2nd owner. It has been very well maintained and has very little wear and tear. This boat does it all Ocean, lakes and rivers. It has the chevy 350 Marine power inboard high efficiancy fuel injection. Comes with fuel water seperater in line and can run ethonal. This boat gets 2 to 3 miles per gallon. It comes with the lawrance gps and nothwest chip in it. I purchaced it in 2007. I replaced the gps antenna 2 years ago.The downriggers are not going with boat.The anchor system and anchor and 300ft of 3/4 rope is staying with boat. Also the marine radio with gps distress is included.Also has alpine detachable face and amp included. Great for those lake trips with fammily.The tricker doul axel trailer is hot dip galvenized and has electronic surge breaks on it. Tires are in great shape with no leaks. All the lights work and tags were just renued this year on boat and trailer. Iam asking 35.000.00 OBO. Must sell and buy another one later on. Going to have surgery on kneck so it will be 2 years before i start playing again. No trades.Dont want to have my boat sit around. The boat only has about 300 hrs on it.When i bought it it was in a heated shop with 28 hrs on it. The man who purchased it was to clean and spent more time cleaning it then using it. And lets face it some people are not boat people. If you price a new northwest 20 ft. with the marine power chevy 350 high output I believe it is 62.000.00 base price. This is a steal at this price. Someone will get lucky on this one.I got lucky when I found it so why not let someone else enjoy.Also comes with honda 8hp. kicker motor.This boat is easy to maintain. It has hose that you put out the opening where plug goes to drain oil. Has dual oil filters on top of moter. The fuel water seperater is a canister style that you unscrew off bottom of fuel pump and put new filter in. I have external fuel pump that you connect to intake of fuel pump and pump fuel out of tank. I did this every year in spring before I fired it up for summer. I also winterized it every year. I would mix the fuel with the new sollution that lubricates all the injectors while it sits. And i would not use ethonal for that. It has automatic bildge pump for morring at the docks. It has radiator ,so running it in salt water does not go through block. Also has ducted heat for windshields and feet. Both seats in front are adjustable spring ride captain seats.. Flux Marine unveils 100% electric center console boat with a hull from Scout and DC fast charging

Outboard motor and battery specialist Flux Marine has introduced a new center console boat package to its lineup to help further electrify the industry. The package combines Flux’s 100% electric propulsion system with a hull from Scout boats to deliver a vessel that can travel 30 mph and replenish on a DC fast charger.

Flux Marine is a company based in Bristol, Rhode Island that specializes in all-electric outboard motors and marine-grade batteries to power them. Additionally, Flux offers customers boat packages that implement its propulsion technology onto existing vessels.

To date, the company has unveiled an all-electric dual console boat option that includes a Scout Dorado 215 hull and a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) package with the help of Highfield. Today, Flux Marine has announced a third entry in its new electric boat lineup, which once again includes a hull from Scout Boats.

Flux to sell Scout 215 XSF electric boat later this year

Flux shared details of its new electric boat package today, which consists of a 21′ 6″ center console hull from Scout that is powered by its own electric outboard motor and a 84 kWh marine-grade lithium-ion battery pack.

The result is a 100% electric day boat with room for nine passengers designed for cruising and coastal fishing at sea. The Scout 215 XSF offers a top power output of 150 hp (112 kW) and 100 hp (72 kW) of continuous power. It can cruise at 25 mph, reach a top speed of 30 mph, and offer a top range of up to 30 miles (26 knots) at cruising speeds. Per Flux Marine CEO Ben Sorkin:

The idea behind Flux Marine is to provide a better, more efficient method of boat propulsion. Our 100 hp outboard hits the sweet spot, capable of propelling a 22 ft boat like the Scout XSF for almost any activity on the water. Our goal is to evoke excitement and innovation while ensuring users feel comfortable with what’s powering their boat.

A huge bonus in the all-electric Scout XSF center console boat is its ability to charge via AC or DC plugs when docked. Flux says the vessel can recharge from 20-80% in 7.5 hours on an AC plug (110-, 220-, or 240-volt) or as quickly as 1.5 hours using a DC fast charger.

In addition to the powertrain and battery pack, Flux has integrated the Scout boat with its own designed throttle, UI, and mobile companion app. Flux’s software will help future boat owners monitor and manage their speed and range from the helm, complete with live updates on an integrated Garmin chartplotter.

The all-electric Scout XSF center console boat starts at $120,000 and joins the Scout Dorado 215 and Highfield RIBs in the lineup. All are set to go on sale directly to consumers later this year.

Body of missing Northwest Alaska man found in Kobuk River after boat capsized

The body of a man who was missing on the Kobuk River after a boat capsized earlier this week has been found, Alaska State Troopers said.

Kiana resident Brandon Sheldon, 30, had been missing since Monday evening, when a boat capsized on the Kobuk River north of Noorvik. Four other people who were onboard at the time were safe and contacted authorities, troopers said.

Search and rescue crews found Sheldon’s body in the Kobuk River upstream of Noorvik around 8:45 a.m. Friday, troopers said in an online update .

His next of kin have been notified, troopers said, and so has the State Medical Examiner Office.

Dozens of volunteers from Noorvik, other villages and the Northwest Arctic Borough were involved in the search for Sheldon this week.
