Trinity Yachts, a world leader in the realm of building full-custom superyachts, has been producing first-class vessels since its inception in 1995. Speed, seaworthiness and unique quality workmanship characterise the American shipyard’s builds.

Bacarella measures 59.74 feet in length, with a max draft of 3.50 feet and a beam of 10.80 feet. She has a deck material of teak.

Bacarella has a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure.

Her interior design is by Bannenberg & Rowell Design.

Bannenberg & Rowell is an award-winning superyacht design studio based in Fulham , the direct descendent of the Jon Bannenberg studio established in the early 1960s.

From renowned American yacht builder Trinity Yachts in Gulfport, Mississippi comes the long awaited launch of the Bacarella superyacht, a project that was supposed to be completed years prior but Hurricane Katrina decided otherwise.

After the extensive damage from the hurricane’s devastation was cleared and the ship yard was fully rebuilt, Trinity Yachts and Vripack , the naval architecture firm who originally was supposed to collaborate with the yacht builder on the project, came together to complete the long awaited 60 meter yacht.

Bacarella’s exterior styling is by Bannenberg & Rowell and Trinity. And Bannenberg & Rowell also designed clean and fresh interiors.

Complete with a helicopter platform, the Bacarella offers a number of impressive features. The yacht’s main saloon is adorned with elm wood, neutral fabrics, and bronze and limestone accents to create a sophisticated and modern look. And the dining saloon is surrounded by a gorgeous glass perimeter that encloses seating for 12 guests. Wine lovers will also appreciate the built-in storage with bronze doors that are capable of holding up to 200 bottles of wine.

The Bacarella’s sky lounge is a rather spacious area for guests to enjoy some of the yacht’s many amenities. View the incredibly large television, listen to the high tech sound system, take advantage of the satellite receivers, relax with a drink at the table-height bar, and enjoy the ocean’s stunning sights and sounds through the huge windows.

Within the grand owner’s suite are natural flood lights that shine through four large oval windows to highlight the relaxing colors and textures used in the elegant cabin and all throughout the yacht.

In the owner’s bathroom, luxury abounds within the spa like atmosphere. Glass and slate surround an infinity tub along with the largest shower you will find on any yacht of this size. The bathroom also offers stunning views with its impressive window that can turn opaque with the touch of a button offering instant privacy.

In the five king staterooms located on the lower deck the luxurious feel continues as no expense has been spared in making guests completely comfortable. And, within the galley is a host of top of the line appliances including a walk-in refrigerator and freezer, an eight burner range, a two speed oven and microwave, grill, ice maker, and two dishwashers.

The yacht also includes seven crew cabins with one queen sized berth in the captain’s cabin in addition to the owner’s suite or king stateroom and the five guest cabins. For easy access to all areas of the yacht, all three decks of the Bacarella are connected by an elevator adorned with stitched rawhide and when the doors open to the bridge’s deck, visitors will be greeted with a beautiful map of the world carved out of slate.

The Bacarella is also made for performance as she is equipped with two Caterpillar engines each capable of delivering 2,012 horsepower and she can reach a top speed of 16 knots making the yacht as powerful as she is beautiful.

Trinity Yachts has now announced that they have delivered their latest Bacarella superyacht to the new owner. The successful yacht delivery and acceptance of the 60 meter motor yacht Bacarella took place on the 1st of  2010.  Superyacht Bacarella is a full displacement steel hulled yacht which is to be departing Florida and soon to be cruising in the Mediterranean for 2010 summer.

Luxury Yacht Bacarella has an interior design which is contemporary as undertaken by Bannenberg & Rowell interior design. The interior was  and fabricated by Metrica of Germany. The yacht offers six spacious staterooms, and features a touch and go helicopter capability, which is quite rare. She also has a tender garage, a passenger elevator and a range of 9,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Her interior is styled by English designer design house Bannenberg & Rowell and she was delivered to her owner in October 2009. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Trinity Yachts.

Bacarella has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Three injured as helicopter crashes during Bacarella landing

An investigation has begun in Norway after a superyacht helicopter crash injured three people earlier this week (May 10).

Local reports claim that the Airbus AS350 helicopter was attempting to land on board the 59.74 metre Trinity yacht Bacarella at 2130 local time when it crash-landed off the coast of Bergen.

It is not yet known what caused the crash, but local reports suggest that a loose tarpaulin became entangled in the rotor blades, causing the helicopter to lurch backwards before suddenly plunging into the water, tail-first.

One eyewitness told local newspaper VG : "I heard a bang, then a violent splash in the sea right behind the yacht. It seemed as though the helicopter disappeared right into the sea. There was nothing to see in the water.”

A nearby rescue boat was quick to recover all three people on board the stricken helicopter, one of whom, David Tang remains in Haukeland University Hospital with serious injuries.

In a statement, Statens Havarikommisjon for Transport praised the actions of pilot Quentin Smith, who activated emergency floatation gear, which stopped the helicopter from sinking.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday (May 15), Smith was full of praise for the Norwegian emergency services, adding: "We don't blame anyone and we have no negative comment to make about anything. This was an accident and it shows how a normal situation can become life-threatening very quickly."

Speaking about Tang's situation, he said: "There are encouraging sounds coming from the hospital — we're very hopeful"

All three of the men involved are understood to be British citizens and the Foreign Office has said that it has offered assistance to the trio and has contacted the local authorities, who say that there is no evidence of human error or technical failure. No injuries were caused to anyone on-board the yacht, which is believed to be undamaged.

Launched by Trinity Yachts in 2009,  Bacarella  was built from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure to a  Geoff Van Aller  design. She can accommodate up to eight guests and 12 crewmembers, and she is powered by a pair of Caterpillar 3512B engines to a top speed of 16 knots.
