Fox’s Chandlery is your one-stop marine shop and specialist supplier of sailing and  boat parts , chandlery, hardware, clothing and marine electronics. We offer everything you could need to get afloat, from those equipping luxury bluewater yachts for world cruising to dinghy sailors and stand-up paddleboarders on a budget.

Our  marine chandlery  opened its doors over 45 years ago, making it one of the oldest and largest chandlery and marine stores of its kind in the UK. With cover around 7,500 sq ft of retail space, stocking over 10,000 products from all the biggest brands in the marine industry.

We stock every conceivable item of  chandlery  and have a large range of marine clothing, footwear and  safety equipment  as well as electronics. We really do offer something for everyone who enjoys getting out on the water!

Whether you’re fitting out your yacht for the new season and need maintenance products or looking for deck hardware; heading off on a blue water adventure and need a new set of foul weather gear, some deck shoes or a life jacket and EPIRB; or perhaps you’re just starting out in dinghy sailing and need a wetsuit and a buoyancy aid, come and talk to us or give us a call and we can advise you on what equipment you need to get the best out of your time afloat.

Fox’s Marina & Boatyard is an independently run marina and boatyard located on the River Orwell in Ipswich, Suffolk providing 100 pontoon berths with easy access at all states of the tide, ashore storage for over 200 vessels, extensive on-site yacht repair, refit and maintenance facilities a large chandlery. We offer a secure, friendly facility that’s perfectly equipped to provide all our customers with a first class service, from casual berthing to complete refits .

Our loyal workforce is our greatest asset, allowing us to deliver consistently high standards and the best level of customer care. All project management and communications is handled by hands-on managers with access to the resources offered by our range of on-site departments. This allows us to provide the best advice based on extensive knowledge, and bring innovative solutions with clear and transparent estimates.

Suffolk Yacht Harbour Chandlery

A new harbour master building and chandlery for Suffolk Yacht Harbour , with additional office units to let to marine based companies. The building was constructed around and over the existing chandlery. The chandlery remained in operation throughout the construction process. The finished building provides a focal hub for the marina and its operations.

The new office accomodation for the marina management provides flexible spaces with an elevated position giving views across the entire marina and beyond.

The project forms part of a long term enhancemnet of the Marina facilities and includes a new Harbour Room function suite , Workshop, sprayshop and shower facilities.

Onsite repairs: classic & modern.

The modern workshop at SYH offers repairs and renovation work on classic and contemporary sail yachts and motor boats using the latest in marine technology.

State of the art workshop

The well-lit, ventilated workshop features specialist ‘zones’; including a 130ft long, two-part spray and preparation bay. whether it’s an awlgrip topside respray or coppercoat application, the process for all coating has been optimised, with one area for prep and one for spraying..

As well as the spray and preparation bay, a custom joinery and machine shop adjoins the workshop for the design and build of specialist woodwork and shipwright components.

The workshop also includes a dedicated area with the specific environment and ideal temperature for maintenance work on classic yachts.

The workshop area also includes specialist flash-proof and eco-friendly LED lighting, as well as heating, extraction and ventilation with full climate control.
