The 36.77m/120'8" motor yacht 'Sun Ark' (ex. Bonita) was built by Heesen in the Netherlands at their Oss shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Art Line and she was completed in 1995. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Mulder Design and she was last refitted in 2004.

Guest Accommodation

Sun Ark has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, with teak decks, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by 1 x diesel MTU (12V 396 TB94) 2,560hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 42 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 54 knots with a range of up to 2,000 nautical miles from her 34,600 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Her low draft of 1.53m/5' makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. Her water tanks store around 4,697 Litres of fresh water.

Her interior design is by De Basto Designs.

The well proportioned superyacht SUN ARK is a motor yacht. This 37 metre (121 ft) luxury yacht was manufactured at Heesen Yachts in 1995. SUN ARK was previously registered as 9935; Bonita; Magic One. Superyacht SUN ARK is a grand yacht that is able to accommodate as many as 8 guests on board and has approximately 5 crew members. The gracious superyacht has been designed by naval architects Frank Mulder and Luiz De Basto Designs. Luiz De Basto Designs / Art-Line Interiors (Original) was involved in her interior design brief.

New Build & Naval Architecture with respect to Luxury Yacht SUN ARK

The yacht's general design work came from Frank Mulder and Luiz De Basto Designs. The technical naval architecture plans are the creation of Frank Mulder. Motor Yacht SUN ARK received her stylish interior designing from the interior design company of Luiz De Basto Designs / Art-Line Interiors (Original). Built by Heesen Yachts this yacht was fabricated in the known yacht building country the Netherlands. She was successfully launched in Oss in 1995 before being handed over to the owner. A moderate area is manifested with a maximum beam (width) of 7.16 metres / 23.5 ft. With a 1.58m (5.2ft) draught (maximum depth) she is shallow. The material composite was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is created from composite. Over the deck of SUN ARK she is 35.36 (116 ft) in length. In 2000 further refitting and modernisation was also performed.

M/Y SUN ARK Engineering & Speed:

This yacht utilises twin robust MTU main engine(s) and can find a exalting maximum speed underway of approximately 54 knots. The main engine of the ship creates 3480 horse power (or 2561 kilowatts). Her total HP is 9520 HP and her total Kilowatts are 7005. Her propulsion units are tripple water jets (kamewa). As for the yacht’s stabalisers she uses Vosper. As for thrusters she utilises Vosper. The boat’s magnificent cruise speed is 42 knots which provides a range of 2000.

Motor yacht Sunark available for festive charter with Peter Kehoe

Bonnie Mims at Peter Kehoe & Associates is offering the 36.5m Heesen motor yacht Sun Ark for charter over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year in the Caribbean.

Sun Ark  accommodates eight guests in a full width master suite with a king bed, two guest staterooms with queen beds and a fourth guest cabin with twin beds, all en-suite.

Sun Ark  has an extended bridge deck making this area over 35% larger than other luxury high-speed yachts of its size. This deck features built in seating with a table for alfresco dining, a full bar with seating, grill and a large eight person Jacuzzi.

Sun Ark  is available at a weekly rate of $75,000 during the holidays and $60,000 for the rest of the season.
