The PACIFIC yacht is a magnificent steel and aluminum yacht that was built with performance and opulence in mind.

Her twin diesel MTU (20V4000 M93L) 20-cylinder 5,764hp engines give her a top speed of more than 20 knots, a range of more than 4,500nm, and a cruising speed of 15 knots.

Compared to similarly-sized yachts, her top speed is 1.87 knots above the average, making her one of the most impressive vessels in the 80-90m size range.

Moreover, she was built to Germanischer Lloyd ✠ 100 A5 Motor Yacht, ✠ MC AUT classification society rules, and is MCA LY2 Compliant.

The PACIFIC yacht has a low-profile design by German Frers , a company famous for using cutting-edge technology and extensive tank-testing programs.

As stylish and sleek as can be, the megayacht’s elegant color changes in the sunlight as she sails through the ocean, reflecting on her hull and deck.

She has been spotted circumnavigating around the globe in places like the South of France, Italy, Australia, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Florida. 

Accommodation

She can accommodate twelve guests in six beautifully appointed cabins and additional space for a highly professional crew of 28 members onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

The yacht also boasts two helicopter pads large enough for simultaneous landings and takeoffs.

Previously known as Project Josi, she was built by the famous Lurssen Shipyard and delivered to her owner in 2010 for US$ 150 million.

The Pacific is a huge ocean, but superyachts are huge ships… Can they cross this enormous expanse of water?

The Pacific Ocean might be an incredible size, but that doesn’t stop superyachts from having the ability to cross it. They can – and do – cross the Pacific Ocean on routes from the United States to Oceania, or Asia, or vice-versa. Superyachts are capable enough to handle the crossing with ease. 

Read on to learn more about this massive ocean and the vessels that navigate it. 

Super Ocean, Superyacht

If you’ve spent tens or hundreds of millions of dollars on a state of the art superyacht, you’ll want to flex it whenever possible. What better way is there to show off the prowess of your floating mansion than to cross the planet’s widest ocean?

The Pacific Ocean is quite simply a gargantuan body of water and ranks as both the largest and deepest ocean on Earth. It reaches from the coasts of Asia to the west coast of America, and beyond. 

If you’re onboard a capable sea-faring vessel like a superyacht, the opportunities are almost endless. You could steam out to Melbourne, take a trip to Hong Kong, or venture to Vladivostok – there are countless options. 

However, distance and time do play into it, and you’ll likely spend days at sea at least when crossing the Pacific. In many cases, you’ll be on board your superyacht for weeks, taking in the sights, smells, and sounds of the open ocean. 

Let’s look at an example; say we’re on board a massive superyacht and we’re steaming from Tokyo to Seattle. As we follow the curve of the Earth, our shipping route lays out a path almost five thousand miles in length. 

We skim the Bering Sea and route around the top end of the North Pacific Ocean, ensuring we’re never too far from the coastline. After all, this fifty million dollar superyacht might be capable, but it’s not equipped for battling potentially rough seas a thousand miles from the shoreline. 

Now, the fastest superyachts have been known to hit speeds of around thirty-one knots. If we powered ahead at thirty-one knots over five thousand miles, it would take just over one hundred and sixty hours to make the crossing.

That’s just under seven days, providing we don’t stop, and we don’t slow down. This gives a perfect example of how long it would take a superyacht to cross the Pacific Ocean. 

Equipped To Cross

Not all yachts are built exclusively for luxury, leisure, and pleasure. There is a collection of superyachts that are known as ‘explorer’ yachts , and they’re constructed (or converted) to travel immense distances, through some fairly treacherous conditions. 

At the top end of the size scale for these explorer superyachts sits vessels that measure more than four hundred feet in length. For example, there’s the aptly named Ulysses, which sailed her maiden voyage in 2018 from Norway. 

This beautiful and enormous vessel boasts a staggering size, coming equipped with a helipad, a fleet of tenders, and room inside for more than sixty guests. There’s even a 68-foot cruiser stored inside the belly of Ulysses for going ashore in style. 

When it comes to going the distance, the Ulysses can sail uninterrupted for more than eight thousand miles. There’s a potential, with the right conditions, for this explorer superyacht to cross the Pacific and return again in a single bound. 

This is owed mostly to the intensely oversized fuel tank, which has a capacity of almost half a million liters of fuel. To put that into comparison, the average family car’s fuel tank won’t exceed around sixty to seventy liters of fuel. 

Small But Mighty

In 2019, Dutch yacht builders Heesen revealed plans to bridge the gap between rugged practicality and sumptuous luxury. They’d conceptualized a long-range, fantastically-equipped, and high-tech superyacht called the Xventure .

This vessel measured just one hundred and ninety feet but boasted a five-thousand-mile range, an infinity pool, helipad, and glass walls. Reportedly, the Xventure would come equipped with a submarine, but by the end of 2020, the vessel was still in the design phases. 

It was said that the luxurious superyacht would be regarded as ‘seven-star luxury’, and would be sold with a helicopter, jet skis, and the aforementioned submarine. There’s likely no better way to cross any ocean, let alone the largest and deepest ocean on the planet. 

Keep a weather eye on the horizon, and maybe you’ll be able to pick up an Xventure if it ever officially releases.

A look at the most expensive superyachts at the Palm Beach yacht show and their insane features, from basketball courts on deck to ice baths and saunas

• The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.
• Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.
• These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocked potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to if in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and nearby marinas, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter) Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter) Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter) Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000 Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.

85m Lürssen yacht Eye (ex Ace) transformed after multi-year rebuild

The 85-metre Lürssen superyacht Eye (ex Ace ) has been photographed for the first time in the Port of Gibraltar following a multi-year rebuild that has left her unrecognisable.

The superyacht checked into refit repair yard MB92 in spring 2022, likely following her sale to a new owner. She was renamed Eye in January 2024 and emerged from the yard just last month. 

Details of the rebuild have been kept tightly under wraps, but recent sightings confirm a complete exterior overhaul – including the removal of her trademark superstructure arches and "eye" balconies.

Eye was delivered by the German yard in 2012. The yacht is known to accommodate 10 guests across five cabins, with each cabin decorated with different themes including Art Deco, classical, contemporary nautical and French Provençal. The master cabin sits on the main deck aft and benefits from a private terrace.

Onboard highlights include a cinema and a gym on the main deck, while a library with a fireplace, a piano and a games table can be found on the upper deck. However, the extent of the work done on Eye 's interiors is yet to be revealed.

This follows the 91.5-metre Oceanco Tranquility 's light refit at MB92 last year .

The three-month stint left her in good condition for the most recent summer charter season and included a number of cosmetic upgrades.

Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly gifted himself a $300 million megayacht, dubbed “Launchpad,” ahead of his 40th birthday.

The staggering 387-foot-long vessel was seen floating at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., after arriving at its berth earlier this week, The Sun reported Thursday.

The multi-layered luxury ship’s sleek exterior was designed by Espen Øino International and boasts a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, according to SuperYacht Times.

Reportedly ranking as the 45th largest yacht in the world, the interiors are just as aesthetically pleasing and reportedly executed by Zuretti Interior Design company, a France-based company specializing in unique and custom yacht design.

The breathtakingly beautiful floater stands out with a navy blue theme matching an American flag perched proudly on its wood-paneled stern.

There are several outdoor areas where the social media maven will be able to relax with his family and the indoor levels feature glass paneling allowing for tons of natural light.

There also appears to be a helipad perfect for whenever the Facebook co-founder wants to travel to his vessel by air.

The Feadship-built yacht, built in 2022, can comfortably fit 24 guests aboard, requires a crew of 48, and is said to cost $30 million a year for upkeep and usage, according to Superyachtfan.com .

Boatworld insiders have been buzzing with speculation that Zuckerberg is the owner of the newly minted mega-cruise ever since it made its main voyage from the Netherlands last week.

The tech titan was spotted touring the Russian-commissioned megayacht in early March, though the impressive boat didn’t arrive stateside until this week due to sanctions, according to The Sun.

The website reported that Zuckerberg purchased the pricey yacht – along with its own $30 million partner boat — most likely as an early 40th birthday present to himself.

The boat reportedly traveled to Florida after being granted special permission to be imported just weeks ahead of Zuckerberg’s birthday on May 14.

Zuckerberg’s yacht is just 30 feet shorter than the length of fellow billionaire Jeff Bezos’ 417-foot megayacht Koru, which the Amazon boss snagged for a whopping $500 million.

Zuckerberg’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina, o ne of Australia’s most iconic marina assets, has been listed for sale . 

Located at 44 Wharf Street, Port Douglas Queensland , the marina serves as one of Queensland’s main access points to the Great Barrier Reef . 

The property features a 10ha freehold and seabed lease land holding with 23 retail tenancies, an a-grade car parking area and a marina slipway.

CBRE Hotel’s Tom Gibson , Wayne Bunz and Joe Tynan , together with JLL’s Jacob Swan , Adam Bury , Liam Petersen and Jake Burrowes are managing the sale of the marina via an Expressions of Interest campaign closing Wednesday 1 st May 2024 .

The marina is home to a 135-berth marina , five fisherman berths and a fuel wharf, with the opportunity to expand operations via a development approval for an additional 24 berths , p roviding an incoming owner with immediate income growth and the ability to capitalise on the strength of the industry .

Mr Adam noted , “ Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina provides an unparalleled opportunity to redevelop an expansive freehold land holding prominently positioned next to a strong performing marina – reporting an 83.8 % average berth occupancy rate in 2023 .” 

The offering of Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina follows a number of other domestic institutional-grade marina transactions, including Goldman Sach’s $235 million sale of Rushcutters Bay and The Spit, Brisbane’s East Coast Marina for $33 million and Batemans Bay Marina for $11 million.

“Marina investments ha s emerged as one of the most sought-after alternative asset s, underpinned by strong demand fundamentals and the ability to create additional value through operational and physical real estate expansion , ” Mr Swan added.

The development of the marine industry has seen it evolve into a sector contributing over $1.6 billion per annum to the Australian economy .
