At Poolbeg Yacht and Boat Club, we have an objective to promote and encourage sailing, motor boating, rowing, training, marine activities and social reunion among its members.
As a means of achieving this we have embarked on a recruitment campaign for Junior members. This has been a success to such a degree that we invested in a new fleet of 14 dinghies for the exclusive use of our members.
Children's Summer Sailing Courses
We organise and provide week long Summer Sailing Courses or Summer camps at which non members may participate.
Details for 2022 will be available on our website early in the year.
Adult Sailing Lessons and Powerboat Training etc.
If sufficient members are interested in specific courses e.g. navigation, vhf, safety at sea etc we will arrange training by Irish Sailing accredited course providers.

Another reason to use the East Link – Poolbeg yacht and boat club
One of the best reasons to cross the East Link bridge, is to catch a glimpse of the boats close to Poolbeg Yacht, Boat Club, & Marina.
The club was opened in 1976 and has now more than 250 members. In 2006 they built their own 100 berth marina. For me it is a beautiful place to watch the glistening of the water and take photos of the many shapes, sizes, and colours of boats.
We can see on the map that the Boat Club is located between Ringsend Park and the River Liffey and not far from the East Link bridge which is unlabelled.
There are always a large variety of boats. Those photographers seeking to find patterns in apparently random sets of objects will be pleased by this setting.

Membership. Membership is open to all. The club does not discriminate on race, creed, colour, national origin, disability, marital status or sexual preference. Junior membership is available for children and young adults. Full membership is available to those over 18. We now have over 250 members, many of whom are active sailors.

On-shore, the Poolbeg Yacht & Boat Club's existing and new members, have benefited from the expansion and redevelopment of its clubhouse which has undergone a €500,000 dramatic facelift.
