EcoCat sunset cruise- June 2021

This sunset cruise was the highlight of our trip! The staff/service was excellent and the boat was spacious and comfortable. I recommend buying the photos. The photographers did an excellent job capturing the entire experience for our group. The only complaint I have is that there was not a vegetarian option for dinner. The complimentary drinks we excellent, so we just had a late dinner in the marina. Note to anyone interested, go to the EcoCat location in the marina under Tesoro Hotel and book direct with the boat owner. Dock sales guys will rip you off and internet booking sites are 2X the price. We met the boat owner, and he was super nice and accommodating after we learned our lesson about the “dock sales guys.” Sunset cruise all inclusive drinks and food was only $30 USD when booking direct.

I was disappointed they ran out of snorkels on this trip. My husband and I didn’t get a snorkel. There were a lot of people who stayed on the hot so they were short quite a few snorkels vs. the amount of people booked. What good is a snorkeling trip without a snorkel? Also, used just our masks to view the fish and they were nothing special. It was nice seeing the arches. Staff was friendly but not real entertaining. Maybe shop around for another tour.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this review. I am so sorry that we ran out of snorkels on your trip. We have had an unusual amount of snorkel loss recently. We are well stocked in masks and fins but we have literally been buying every snorkel available in Cabo. I am happy to say that we recently received a shipment of 300 from the U.S. and we should be OK for awhile. We would love to have you join us again sometime. Please write me directly and I will do something special for you.

We enjoyed our trip out on the water with this company. As others have said, do not count on a big snorkeling adventure as you only get about 20 minutes in the water and by the time we got to some rocks to look around, they called us back to the boat. Right now they say the are limiting how many people are on the boat due to COVID but we would not like to be on a more crowded boat. It was very comfortable and we really enjoyed just cruising out into the sea and watching the shore for a few hours. The crew was wonderful and kept us well hydrated. The drinks were not strong but tasty. We drank many as it was very hot out! We brought our own sandwiches as we are vegetarian so we cannot comment on the food. We recommend this company. They provided a nice clean boat, cheerful crew and a lovely day on the sea.

We did enjoy the boat ride and music. The staff was friendly and brought us drinks through out the ride. What we didn’t enjoy was the actually snorkeling trip. They stated we would be in the water for 45 mins. It was actually only 15 mins before they called it in. They did not have enough snorkel gear for everyone which I can imagine is very disappointing. How can you go on a snorkeling excursion and not have the gear. I would not come back on this boat as it is not a real snorkeling excursion but more of a boat ride.

So this company uses multiple people to sell their boat tour, Efrain Razcon Dimas sold me a ticket for 4 persons. I paid $80 deposit. When I came next day to check in. The tour was cancelled, they didn’t refund me the money. Efrain never called me it was cancelled and he was my agent. When I called him back to refund me the money. The company said he is the only one can refund you because he is your sales person. He was supposed to come and pay me the money. Never did, and I never got my money. Very disappointed no one could help me out. Here is prove of everything.

They say there are 300 - 400 salesmen in the Cabo area who can sell our product. These same salesmen also sell all of our competition. All reputable sellers will refund your deposit when a tour is canceled by the local authorities for weather concerns. EcoCat always refunds 100% of what you PAY TO US in the event of a Government mandated cancellation. For complete security you can book directly with us or through our web site. We often offer online discounts. Next time, come to us directly, I am sure we can make you happy.

I put one star, because I can’t put 0. I went to the sunset party boat yesterday, and was the worst trip Of my life. I suffer discrimination with my best friend. It was my birthday and is so sad, because I’m Mexican and they don’t attend you. Just to Americans. They said is free bar, and they just serve me 1 drink in all night. I ask for more, to one sailor, another one, 3 different and no one give me nothing. It was so sad. And make feel so bad. I WILL NEVER RETURN AND I WILL NEVER RECOMEND THIS BOAT. Because we deserve the same treat as everyone. And I put this in English for everyone understand. And realize is a horrible boat, that don’t give good service and DEMAND for tips when all the tour didint serve you a DRINK. So bad and so sad.

He is not sure of which trip you were on as he says you did not tell him about your problem. He is aware of a couple of Locals they had to cut off due to over overconsumption of alcohol but that does not sound like your case. I can assure you that our crew is 100% MEXICAN and we value EVERY customer who choses to sail on EcoCat. In the last 8 months since we reopened after COVID, we are receiving a larger percentage of Mexican customers than ever. We could not survive without you. Also, TIPS ARE OPTIONAL. Our crew depends on their tips to feed their families. If they don't give good service, no one will tip them. We hope you will give us another try. Please speak to me directly and I will do something special for you.

Fun Whale Watching

We booked Eco Cat from Rafael at ME Cabo Resort. This was the best thing we did in Cabo. The whale watching was excellent. The Crew of Eco Cat served us drinks and took us to see El Arco and then out to watch whales. We saw 3 whales jump out of the water and one rolled over and waived at us it seemed. Also saw Mother and Baby. It was a terrific morning on March 10, 2017. Would do it again!

We talked with Jonathan downtown to get a great deal on this 3-1/2 hr cruise from 12:30-4PM. Crew were very attentive, drinks flowed and the lunch was delicious - tacos of many varieties and burgers. Stopped at Santa Maria bay for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. Cruise back with more drinking and dancing. Fun excursion!

We love the ecocat!! we take the noon cruise because we like the sun. The captain always finds whales and gets as Close as he can. The music is good, the weather is great, the waiters make sure we have drinks and the lunch is not bad. Always a good time

You meet at the Ecocat Bar in the marina before boarding. They try and upcharge you for breakfast-for $10. The bar serves breakfast but the tour folks don't explain that the breakfast is on the boat, not in the bar. After eating breakfast at the bar and getting our tab, this mistake was realized. A very rude manager argued with me over the refund for the boat breakfast. Very poor customer relation skills. Eventually had the 10 breakfast charge refunded but it put a damper on the whale watching. There are better boats for whale watching available. The crew was average, not very enthusiastic. I'd avoid the bar as well. Expensive for what you get.

Our last night in Cabo, we took an ecocat tour. The staff were informative and friendly. We were greeted with a drink and promptly left the marina. We were lucky enough to see a mama whale and her babies playing, and got lots of picture oooortunities. If you take advantage of the food option, know that it's picnic in style. All in all, a great time, good value. I'd definitely go again.

Wasn't what we expected. Engine trouble several times so never really got to enjoy the waters out side the bay. Food was mediocre. Below deck bar area smelled like sour beer.

Great Whale watching adventure

Had a great trip on 4-4. There were 8 of us in our party and only 12 total passengers so it was pretty much a private cruise. The crew was fun, drinks were cold and the whales were waiting for us. Got some amazing photos! Highly recommend.

We went on one of their whale watching trips. Since we had read on their website that this tour is "designed for serious whale watching" and the "experienced crew will fill you in on many interesting facts about them" (whales), we expected to learn a lot about these interesting and elusive mammals. Well...there was not a word of educational information about the whales spoken on this trip. Indeed, loud pop music was played the whole time when we were not following the single whale we saw. The crew was even dancing with the women on the boat instead of educating us as they advertise they will do on their website. The boat was very stable and comfortable in the slightly rough seas. But if you are looking to learn something about whales, don't take this trip. If you want to party, this trip is for you.

Beautiful Catamaran and the ride out to Santa Maria beach was fun and the staff on the Cat was helpful and efficient. What my problem was that we were promised by the person who sold us the tickets ( a guy in one of the booths around town) - overcharged us a bit and the owner at the check in point said he couldn't credit us the money and we were promised snorkeling and kayaking. The snorkeling was great and saw wonderful fish, but there was no mention of kayaking. On our way back we assumed we were going to yet another spot, then only to pull into the marina. I even asked one of the staff if we were still kayaking and they said yes. Once we talked to someone as we got off the catamaran, they said that the beach area was too crowded and we couldn't kayak. That's fine, but #1 - tell us...address it when you found out #2 - don't tell us we are still kayaking when we aren't. #3 - does that mean if we could have kayaked, we would have had to pick between snorkeling and kayaking? I recommend going straight to the tour places before you book and making sure you ask questions. If I had known it was "shifty" to buy from the guys that represent the company/tour - on the street, then I wouldn't have done that.

I was very very suspicious when we booked our Ecocat morning whale watching tour with some guy on the marina. He had us put down a down payment and gave us a "receipt" on a piece of scrap paper. We were expecting to show up at the boat and have had a fast one pulled over on us. Never the less, we were on the list and had the most amazing time. We were told the morning was a "100% chance to see the whales". We didn't get to see whales jumping out of the water or even their flukes, but we did see whales. The open bar had really yummy drinks and very fast services. The boat captain was very funny and we got to a great tour of the shore line of Cabo. The boat was awesome and it was a very smooth ride! I would definitely do this tour again! Make sure you negotiate yourself a good price!

We utilized 50% vouchers and booked the VIP snorkeling tour and the Whale Watching tours with Ecocat Catamaran. Snorkeling Tour: We were in cabo during spring break so the boat was packed and sold out. The boat is big and has shade below where the washrooms and a bar is located. The snorkeling was ok compared to other trips we have taken. You have to swim a distance away from the boat to see any fish and it was either big groups of them or nothing at all. On the way back I slipped and cut my foot on one of the metal rivets and although one of the staff attended to me, their first aid kit was lacking essential supplies. They had no gloves, antiseptic, limited bandages & minimal tape. My foot was treated with instant coffee & water and lightly bandaged until I could receive medical treatment. I required stitches, a tetanus shot and penicillin to prevent infection and to assist with healing. I recommended to the manager that they should update and increase their medical supplies, hopefully they do. Whale Watching: We really enjoyed our time out on the boat, there was only 14 of us and it felt like we had a private charter. There were 2 females and a calf that put on a great show and provided great opportunities for photos. We would definitely go on this trip again and enjoyed it more than the snorkeling trip. Misc: The food on the boat for lunch was decent but with how busy it was during the snorkeling trip it took over an hour to get lunch. The food we had a the Ecocat restaurant was over priced for the quality and portions. I highly recommend purchasing the photos taken by the staff photographer, we had her put all our pictures from both excursions on one disc only paid $35. Overall we would encourage people to try the Ecocat, the boat and staff were fun and the trip out by the arch is beautiful and we really enjoyed the ride to Santa Maria Bay.

We had 57 people ho on a day trip on the Eco cat. What a great day! The staff was wonderful, lunch was great, and everyone was up dancing and having fun. Excellent trip! Don't miss out on this excursion. You will love it!

Four of us went on Sunset Cruise and it was great. We took the vip package for drinks and buffet. The drink service was excellent as the servers continued to bring drinks. The buffet was just ok. The views from the boat were breath taking. The music was great and was a fun experience. I would use them again. There are plenty of providers for viewing the arch and cruise around, but I felt safe on their boat and they were well organized.

What a nice way to see Cabo shores. Whale watching peaceful and exciting. They serve you food and drinks. I have done this many times with Ecocat.

My family and I had a great time. The food and drinks were good. The best part was how much fun our kids had on the cruise. It was mating time for a type of ray so we got to see them jump out of the water. We were told that was how the female attracted her mate. The views of the arch and other parts of the coast line were beautiful. The women taking pictures on the cruise were really good. The pictures they took turned out great. The music and dancing after dinner was fun too.

We went on the sunset dinner cruise. The drinks were very watered down and the food was only average. The staff who served it were rude. The women's bathroom was not clean and both locks were broken. The views from the boat were lovely, but I would not do this again or recommend it.

The snorkeling adventure was a great time! Beautiful scenery and a nice time in the water. The crew was very attentive with all-inclusive food and drinks. Bernardo at EcoBar also got us a great deal on fishing, and we all caught Mahi Mahi, which he cooked to perfection hm we got back. Will start here for all of our Cabo Adventures!

Our family did the 1130 snorkeling tour and had a wonderful afternoon. The staff were super attentive, boat comfortable, food tasty, and plenty of time to snorkel in a beautiful location. We had our 4 and 5 year olds with us and staff were just as patient and attentive with them.
