Two industry-leading companies join forces as Fraser Yachts acquires a majority interest in the renowned Greek yacht management company, Atalanta Golden Yachts (AGY) based in Athens, Greece.

The integration of the internationally respected AGY team, headed by AGY founding member, Popy Kaia, within the Fraser Yachts Greece team lead by Vassilis Fotilas, is the result of a continued drive by both companies, and Fraser’s parent company, MarineMax, Inc. (NYSE: HZO), to further deliver an unparalleled depth of insight and know-how through best-in-class expertise.

Yacht owners, charter clients and the industry now benefit from both an unmatched level of regional and local expertise and the increased wide-reaching strategic networks available to them through more than 19 other key global Fraser locations and the MarineMax network worldwide.

Founded in 2006, today AGY charter manages 51 yachts in Greece from 21 - 95m+ (70ft -300 ft+) including such renowned yachts as O'PARI 95m/312ft, O'PTASIA 85m/278ft, O’EVA 60m/196ft and the newly launched O'REA 77m/255ft.

About Popy Kaia: Born in Greece, Popy commenced her yachting career in 1996. MarineMax (HZO) Arm to Acquire Atalanta Golden Yachts in Greece

MarineMax, Inc. HZO recently announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Fraser Yachts, has entered into a definitive deal to acquire a controlling interest in Atalanta Golden Yachts. However, its financial terms were kept under wraps. MarineMax’s shares increased 2.7% yesterday to eventually close the trading session at $32.36. Based in Athens, Greece, Atalanta Golden Yachts is a well-recognized yachting agency engaged in several activities, from chartering and brokerage to yacht management, among others. The company provides its expertise in managing luxury charters for several clients in Greece and other parts of the world, including France, Croatia, Italy, Turkey, the Red Sea, as well as the Caribbean.

Acquisition Rationale

The latest buyout is in sync with MarineMax’s policy of acquiring companies to expand into higher-margin businesses and extend its presence globally. The addition of Atalanta Golden Yachts’ expertise in the yachting industry and widespread client network will enable MarineMax to provide comprehensive yachting offerings to its growing number of customers throughout the world. MarineMax expects the transaction to be closed by the end of this year and be accretive in its first year of operations.

The Zacks Rank #4 (Sell) company’s shares have lost 4.2% compared with the industry ’s decline of 5.5% in the past month.

Other Inorganic Moves

MarineMax believes in strengthening its businesses through the addition of assets. The company closed the buyout of C&C Boat Works in June 2023. The transaction expanded MarineMax’s footprint in Minnesota to five locations. The buyout boosted its operational capability and efficiencies in the region. A couple of other notable buyouts made by the company include IGY Marinas in October 2022 and Nisswa Marine in July 2021.

The company has a trailing four-quarter earnings surprise of 13.5%, on average. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Boot Barn’s current financial-year sales suggests growth of 7.8% from the year-ago reported figure. Brilliant Earth is a designer and seller of precious metals and jewelry in the United States. BRLT has a trailing four-quarter earnings surprise of 83.3%, on average. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Brilliant Earth’s current financial-year sales suggests growth of 9.2% from the year-ago reported figure.

MarineMax's Subsidiary Fraser Yachts To Acquire Controlling Interest In Atalanta Golden Yachts

(RTTNews) - MarineMax, Inc. (HZO), the world's largest recreational boat, yacht, and superyacht services company, announced Monday that Fraser Yachts, its wholly owned subsidiary, has executed a definitive agreement to acquire a controlling interest of Athens, Greece-based charter management agency Atalanta Golden Yachts.

The acquisition strengthens MarineMax's position as the world's largest provider of superyacht services.

John Dragnis, principal shareholder of Atalanta Golden Yachts, maintains a significant stake and will remain involved in the growth and development of Fraser's operations in Greece.

The acquisition is expected to close in the quarter ending December 31, 2023, and be accretive in its first full year of operations.

2024 NBA Draft order: Complete list of picks as Atlanta Hawks win No. 1 selection in Lottery

The full draft order was unveiled on sunday afternoon in chicago.

The full 2024 NBA Draft order has been set. The Atlanta Hawks overcame long odds and won the draft's No. 1 pick on Sunday in the Draft Lottery . The Hawks, who finished a 36-46 record in the 2023-24 season, had just a 3% chance to win the top pick. The Washington Wizards will pick second, while the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs round out the top four. The Detroit Pistons, who had the NBA's worst record this season, slipped to No. 5 in the draft order.

The Hawks jumped out nine spots to win the first overall pick, and it's the first time they'll pick No. 1 since 1975. Only four lottery winners had worse chances than the Hawks in 2024: the 1993 Magic (1.5%), the 2014 Cavaliers (1.7%), the 2008 Bulls (1.7%) and the 2011 Cavaliers (2.8%).

While trades could certainly change things, picks No. 1-58 are now set for the 2024 NBA Draft. Here's a look at the first round as it stands:

2024 NBA Draft order: First round

The NBA Draft will be a two-night affair for the first time in 2024, with the second round coming on June 27. The second round of this year's draft features plenty of traded picks, with a large majority of the 28 picks having changed hands at least once before draft night.

There are also only 58 picks in this year's draft after both the 76ers and Suns had to forfeit second-round selections for free-agent tampering.

Second-round draft order

The 2024 NBA Draft is not particularly well-regarded in league circles. There is no obvious superstar or No. 1 pick in this class, but remember, similar classes in recent years have wound up producing stars regardless of expectations. The 2020 class was widely believed to be weak at the time. It has already given the NBA four All-Stars: Anthony Edwards , LaMelo Ball , Tyrese Haliburton and Tyrese Maxey . The 2013 NBA Draft faced similarly low expectations, but produced Giannis Antetokounmpo , Rudy Gobert , C.J. McCollum and Victor Oladipo .

Below are the top 10 prospects from the CBS Sports NBA prospect rankings . Three of the top five prospects in this year's class are international, while five of the top 10 played in U.S. colleges. The two remaining prospects in the top 10 come from G League Ignite, which just played its final season .

The lack of a typical top prospect in this class creates plenty of uncertainty, but also plenty of opportunity. Think about those other drafts we once considered bad. The Bucks landed Antetokounmpo outside of the lottery and he went on to lead them to a championship. Maxey wasn't even a top-20 pick, and he's saved the 76ers from a very bleak post-James Harden future. 

When nobody knows who the best prospect in a class is, it gives a much wider variety of teams chances to land impact players. There may not be a Victor Wembanyama-caliber prospect in the 2024 NBA Draft, but there will be a significant infusion of talent into the league in June.

Throughout the Miami Grand Prix, the individual whose future plans were discussed most was not a current driver, nor a potential driver who may join the grid next season.

Rather, the name on everyone’s lips was that of Adrian Newey.

The legendary engineer and designer shocked the Formula 1 world with the announcement that he would be stepping away from Red Bull in early 2025. That news sparked speculation regarding where Newey would land next, or if he would step away from F1 entirely.

Now, in a video for Oyster Yachts released on YouTube , Newey addresses his future for the first time.

And it certainly looks as if he will be back in F1 before we know it.

“I’ve wanted to work in motor racing as a designer since I was the age of eight or ten and I’ve been lucky enough to fulfil that ambition to have got that first job and been in motor racing ever since,” said Newey to his manager Eddie Jordan in the video. “So every day has just been a bonus really, I just love what I do. So at some point I guess I’ll have a bit of a holiday and as Forrest Gump said at the end of his long run, I feel a little bit tired at the moment, but at some point I’ll probably go again.”

Newey also revealed in the video that he spoke with IndyCar owner Roger Penske and former Formula 1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone, who are 87 and 93 respectively, who inspired him to carry on working. The legendary F1 designer also shared memories of his father, who suffered a series of brain hemorrhages after his own retirement.

Those discussions, along with the memories of his father, have certainly left an impact.

“It’s slightly emotional to say it, but [my father] kind of lost his way a bit in his retirement,” said Newey . “I thought he’d be very happy continuing to tinker around on cars and stuff and he just lost his mojo a bit.

“[So] kind of a combination of that and then two of the people that I respect the most, Bernie and Roger Penske, I asked them both ‘what’s your secret?’ because they’ve kept going and going and for their age they’re phenomenally mentally agile and physically agile. And they both said that old thing that the brain’s like a muscle, it needs exercise and so you need to keep doing that.”

Newey also outlined how the rhythm of motorsport, and the near-constant feedback the stopwatch provides, is something he will miss.

“The great thing about motor racing – it can be very painful – but every two weeks or so, well every flipping week now the way the calendar’s gone, you know how you’re doing,” continued Newey. “So that feedback, I think, is what vitalises the whole thing. I guess that’s what I’ve got used to over the years and I know I’d miss it if I wasn’t doing it.”

As for where Newey might land, his comments offer little insight. But as mentioned above his name was on the lips of almost every team in the paddock ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, and some of Red Bull’s former drivers chimed in on just what it meant working with a legend. In addition, there are multiple reports that Aston Martin has made a significant offer to Newey, reports that Aston Martin Team Principal Mike Krack dismissed recently .

So while we do not know where Newey might land next, it certainly seems that the legend will be back in F1 at some point next season.

A little more than a year after Eminem  and Kim Scott 's   daughter Hailie Jade announced she and Evan McClintock had gotten engaged , the two have tied the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends, which included the Grammy winner himself, of course.

"Waking up a wife this week," Hailie shared in a May 20 Instagram post featuring photos from the couple's wedding day . "We couldn't have asked for a better, more beautiful weekend celebration."

And the 28-year-old, who wore a stunning white strapless gown with jaw-dropping floor-length veil, simply found herself lost in the moment during their nuptials.

"So so many happy tears were shed," she continued, "laughs & smiles were had, & so much love was felt. Evan and I are feeling so grateful for all of the family & friends that traveled to support us and be a part of this new chapter of our lives as husband & wife."

But that's not all, as per TMZ , Hailie and Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers ) enjoyed a father-daughter dance during the occasion, which was held at a lavish venue in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Hailie and Evan's new chapter comes after the couple, who began dating in 2016, got engaged last February .

"Casual weekend recap… 2.4.23," she wrote on Instagram at the time , adding the ring emoji. "I love you @evanmcclintock11."
