Die atemberaubende Landschaft, die großartige Bucht von Kotor und eine sich stetig verbessernde nautische Infrastruktur sind gute Gründe für einen Besuch dieses Segelreviers, das noch als Geheimtipp gilt. Die Landschaft riecht förmlich nach Wildheit und Abenteuer - hier ließ Karl May seinen Schut reiten, hier ist das Leben noch heute hart und Mitteleuropa weit entfernt: Montenegro gehört zu den ärmsten Ländern der Welt. Doch seit der Unabhängigkeit von Serbien geht es endlich spürbar aufwärts, Reformen wirken sich aus. Kein Wunder, dass sich das kleine Land (knapp 600.000 Einwohner) am Westen orientiert.

Bisher konnte das hochspannende Segelrevier nur von dem ca. 30 sm entfernten Dubrovnik angelaufen werden. Ein nicht unwichtiger Vorteil für die Gäste ist das Preisniveau, das deutlich unter dem von Kroatien liegt.
