What does a yacht charter rate include and what additional fees can I expect to pay?

For one-week megayacht charters, the price is usually given without Taxes. Taxes range significantly by destination and will vary if more than one country is visited. You will also need to pay for an estimated running of expenses paid by an Advance Provisioning Allowance, or APA. Expenses include fuel (the largest cost in yacht rentals), food and beverages, port fees, etc. APA typically accounts for between 25% and 35% of the charter price, and with it, the captain will pay all holiday expenses. Whatever is not used will be returned to the customer after the charter. Finally, you will need to consider the tip for the crew, which is a percentage of the rental price, approximately 10% in Europe and 15% in the US. This is highly recommended since a professional and trained crew has a direct impact on the success of the holidays.

Do I need a license to charter a yacht?

If you want to be the one who sails the yacht, you will need the Yachtmaster Ocean license or the equivalent, depending on the country. However, if you want to sail in luxury and comfort you can charter the yacht with a captain and crew. On the Nautal platform, yachts over 50 ft are chartered with a captain, except for some yacht charters located in Croatia. This is because the yachts are very expensive and the risk of damage for the owner is very high. Also during the high season, the yacht owners often cannot get them repaired easily without an advanced booking.

We hired Juan's boat for my wife's 50th birthday and we had a great time on board. Juan was ready for us on arrival and guided us onboard. We set out to sea and spent four hours sailing along the coastline. We played music on his Bluetooth JBL speaker which has a crisp clear and bassy sound. It was a pleasurable time and we would book again in the future. Thanks Juan.

This was an amazing experience - by all means! A superb catamaran, an even better crew with perfect and kind service and carfully selected spots for our day trip. The team speaks at least English, German and Spanish, knows how to treat guests with drinks, cocktails, local food and advises and adjusts the tour to wishes of the guests. They have all equipment for a relaxed snorkeling, swimming or SUPing day on board. We really enjoyed and will come back! Our group did a few of these day charters with several providers in different areas of Mallorca and other places in the world - this trip stands out from others!

A solid boat, well maintained, with a powerful engine and enough room for 5 of us. The owners did their best with clear instructions, useful tips and convenient pickup . We will definitely rent again when in Dubai next time

The started with an extreme warm welcome. Luis (and Franciscus) are great host. Immediately, you feel welcome and at home. Luis is listening carefully to our wishes and organize the perfect cruising. Nice sailing to nice places of the island and a lovely mooring in a baye. Time for a little swim, an aperitif with some apetizers and a Paëlla with seefood. Afterwards, we sail back with a slow speed relaxing on the back of the boat, softer sun, and even so relaxing, we catch a litlle nap. It was a dreamy and perfect rental. Thanks a lot to Luis and his team and we should be delighted being your guest on a next occasion. For sure, we will recommend your charter to our friends. Thanks a lot !!!

To be honest I have to give 5 stars in all categories, as Alex, my contact person from Sail Me Charter, handled everything super smooth and comforting. He was always very helpful and even organised a one day skipper training for me, which gave me and the res of the crew more confidence in sailing the big catamaran that we chartered. I discovered Click&Boat surfing the Internet. I am a naturally curious person, and your website caught my attention right away. I started reading about your general terms and conditions, where I quickly found a phone number. After talking to the client service, which was very pleasing, I decided to try out the platform.

At the age of 16, I was volunteering for the Red Cross of the Sea, where our goal was to assure sailing regattas. It is during that period that I learned to navigate on small boats for the first time. After 30 years, I finally got to own my first fishing boat bigger than 8 meters in length. Five years ago, a friend of mine who made his fishing boat available for charter, invited me to come aboard with him and some clients. It is then that I saw how much people appreciated the sea. So, I decided to pass my professional license to be able to take people out on the water in Mallorca.

The service that I offer is simple charters without skipper, because many people own a boat license, and our vessels are easy to handle. We are starting private excursions where we can take people on the boats to places they could not go to by themselves.

Most of the profits we make are spent on fleet upgrades. I always like to remember how thankful renters are when they are satisfied with our service.

$1.1 billion Mega Millions drawing nears, followed by $865 million Powerball prize

DES MOINES, Iowa — (AP) — Another day, another giant lottery jackpot.

Next up is an estimated $1.1 billion Mega Millions prize on Tuesday night, enticing players who hope to win the 8th largest prize in U.S. lottery history even though no one has won the jackpot since Dec. 8, 2023. That's 30 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner.

Miss out on that drawing? No problem. There will be a drawing Wednesday night for an estimated $865 million Powerball jackpot . No one has won that prize either since New Year's Day, making for 36 drawings without a winner.

For both games, the long drought of jackpots is no accident. The games have long odds specifically to create large jackpots that will generate lots of interest and sales.

For Mega Millions, the odds are 1 in 302.6 million, and for Powerball they are 1 in 292.2 million.

The $1.1 billion Mega Millions prize is for a sole winner who chooses to be paid through an annuity over 30 years. A winner who opts for a cash payout would get $525.8 million.

Those winnings would be subject to federal taxes, and some states also tax lottery winnings.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states plus Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Powerball also is played in those states as well as Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

T he Houston area is home to some of the best places to go boating in Texs Lake Conroe and Galveston are ranked among the top five of the most popular boating cities in the state, according to  data from the boat rental service Getmyboat.com.

Lake Conroe ranks fourth while Galveston ranks fifth in the Getmyboat rankings with Austin slotting in at No. 1.

Getmyboat used data from its boat rental service to calibrate its rankings. That includes locations where boats are registered, number of rentals and length of the rentals.

The list's top 10 are primarily towns in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, but four of the top five areas are outside of North Texas. In addition to Austin at No. 1, Canyon Lake in Hill Country comes in at No. 2.

The average hourly rate to rent a boat in Lake Conroe is $114, with an average trip price of $482 for the service. As for Galveston, it's only $107 per hour with an average price of $325.
