St. Lucia Yacht Charters
For the adventurous travelers, the ones who find lazing in standard yacht charter destinations or sightseeing in a tourist town too boring to call a vacation, a St. Lucia yacht charter is absolutely perfect. This small gem in the Windward islands rests between Martinique and St. Vincent, on the outer edge of the curve of training islands towards South America. Sitting close to the equator and influenced by the trade winds year round, St. Lucia is a perfect place to go sailing or to charter a motor yacht. 12 Knots offers the highest quality charters with luxury amenities, crew assistance, and other services to ensure your vacation is smooth sailing.
From trekking the wild jungles to tackling waves on the open ocean, St. Lucia brings sailors and outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity of a lifetime. With so much to do and see, you’ll probably come back to the island more than once if you get the chance. St. Lucia is a hidden wonder of the Caribbean. Its rich history, ideal climate, exotic landscapes and wildlife offer a treat for anyone who has a love for the island lifestyle. A sailing vacation is just one way to experience the island, but many say that a private yacht charter provides the most freedom and authenticity when visiting the Caribbean for the first, or the hundredth time. You won’t be disappointed choosing St. Lucia for your next sailing vacation.
History of St. Lucia
St. Lucia was first inhabited by the Caribs, an indigenous tribal people who controlled much of the Caribbean islands. However, French and English settlers arrived in the 1660s, and fought over ownership of the land for several decades. France and England fought over most of the Caribbean until the Treaty of Paris. St. Lucia switched rulers over fourteen times before 1814, and is sometimes called the "Helen of the West Indies" after the famous Helen of Troy. While Britain gained final control of St. Lucia, the French were the ones to name it. Saint Lucia was chosen to honor Saint Lucy of Syracuse, and is the only country in the world to be named after a woman.
The island was solely British territory until the late 1950s, when it became a part of the Federation of the West Indies. This Federation allowed European countries to maintain control of their territories, yet gave some freedom over internal affairs to the states. However, St. Lucia fought for sovereignty and in 1979 received it. Saint Lucia is now an independent state, and a member of the Commonwealth of Nations. Though it gained independence from the European countries, St. Lucia still carries much of the history and culture from its ancestors. From the first Caribs to the settling French and English, St. Lucia is a wonderful blend of European sophistication with the island carefree lifestyle.
Geography and Wildlife
St. Lucia was not always a luscious rainforest island with wildlife and beautiful seascapes. Its origins come from volcanic eruptions and continental shifts to form the craggy peaks and mountains that shape the island’s inland. St. Lucia is significantly more rugged than most of the islands, with its highest peak, Mount Gimie, reaching over 950 metres (3,120 feet) above sea level. This provides a beautiful backdrop for sailors as they cruise along the shoreline looking for adventure.
Two towering mountains, the Pitons, make a statement on the island’s coastline. They sit between Soufrière and Choiseul on the western side, and act as a landmark for sailors to know they’ve arrived at St. Lucia. However, these two peaks are not even the greatest sight in St. Lucia. You’ll have to travel to the Sulphur Springs in Soufrière to see the world’s only drive-in volcano. The Sulphur Springs is one of the only places where you can take a trip into a volcano’s hot springs and see the natural ecosystem up close.
In addition to the beautiful landscapes, you’ll be surrounded by exotic wildlife on your St. Lucia yacht charter. All sorts of tropical animals, from dangerous reptiles including boa constrictors and fer-de-lance snakes, to the more tame ones like the iguana, and the hundreds of tropical birds that decorate the skies, can be found here. St Lucia is home to a very rare species of lizard, the St. Lucia Whiptail. This creature wasn’t discovered until 1958, and it only inhabits the southern portion of the island around Vieux Fort. This lizard is both rare and beautiful, characterized by white spots and a vibrant tail and underbelly. Rodents like manicao and mongoose also graze along the forest floor and are a common sight along the hiking trails on St. Lucia.
Culture and Local Attractions
St. Lucia is a wonderful melting pot of African, East Indian, French, and English culture. Because of its long-lasting British rule, the official language of St. Lucia is English. However, most of the population also speak a Saint Lucian-specific French Creole, known locally as Patois, or"Patwa." Much of the music and literature from St. Lucia natives is written in the Antillean Creole language. You may be able to pick up some of the dialect during your sailing vacation, or appreciate the beauty of the native language in the traditional song and dance of St. Lucia, exhibited in their many festivals and street markets.
Music and dance are an integral part of the St. Lucian culture. The island hosts several different festivals throughout the year to honor the history, culture, and indigenous customs of the people who lived there. The La Rose and La Marguerite celebrate different secret societies and fraternal organizations on the island. St. Lucia also holds an annual carnival to celebrate before Lent, as many other Caribbean islands do. However, the biggest festival on the island is the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival. This festival brings musicians from all across the Caribbean. In addition to jazz, St. Lucia is a fertile creative ground for music genres such as Calypso, Soca, Dancehall, Reggae, Zouk, Salsa, and indigenous folk music.
If you’re looking for more outdoor attractions during your yacht charter in St. Lucia, visit Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens. These gardens are in bloom year round because of the perfect growing conditions on the island. You can see a variety of tropical flowers, trees, and bushes while visiting. Then if you have time, take a nature hike to the Diamond Waterfall or visit the spa on site for a relaxed afternoon treat.
The other main outdoor attraction you should visit on your St. Lucia sailing vacation is Pigeon Island National Park. This park features walking trails, military ruins dating back to the 1600s, stunning beaches and a local restaurant where you can try the local food and drink. Of course, as a famed sailing destination, St. Lucia has plenty of places where you can reserve boat trips, go ziplining, rent a kayak, or do just about anything else your islander heart desires.
Nearby Islands
St. Lucia is right in the middle of the Windward Islands. This part of the Caribbean is very close to South America, and rests just above the equator, making a perfect place for sailing all throughout the year. It is warm and winds are strong, and the islands here are close enough to visit each one during your private yacht charter vacation. St. Lucia is surrounded by three other main islands, all within a day or two’s sailing trip from the 12 Knots port at the Rodney Bay Marina.
Sailing south of St. Lucia you will eventually meet Saint Vincent. This island is surrounded by several underwater volcanoes, and the inland is covered in tropical rainforest. The beaches here are unique, because the sand is unlike most other islands in the Caribbean. It is 95% black, because the sand originates from the volcanic rock basalt. St. Vincent is a wonderful place to explore the jungles or take a nap on the hot sand.
To the north is Martinique, an island of heavy French influence. When walking down the streets of Martinique, you’ll likely see the latest fashions from the Paris runways, and smell pastries and fine French cuisine from the local bistros. However, this island hasn’t lost its true flavor, as you can find delicious seafood almost anywhere on the island. Like many of the Caribbean islands, St. Lucia specializes in spiced seafood and unique dishes with parallels to African and Indian cuisine. Many sailors’ favorite part of visiting St. Lucia during a yacht charter is savoring the local food and meeting with the islanders to learn about their unique lifestyle.
If you sail southwest, you will find Barbados. This beautiful island of the Lesser Antilles is home to a variety of foods, flora, and fun activities that your whole crew will enjoy. The island has many different festivals throughout the year, and several outdoor excursions including beach horseback riding, swimming with sea turtles, and explorations through the island’s jungles and beach gardens.
Motor Yacht Charters in St. Lucia
12 Knots Yachting Club offers sailing boats, catamarans, and crewed yachts for those who want to explore and enjoy St. Lucia. Whether you’re looking for a short, hassle-free sailing vacation or are looking for a challenge to test your skill, 12 Knots has a charter perfect for you. 12 Knots offers several different sailing and motor yachts, each with optional amenities including crew assistance and watersport equipment rentals.
St. Lucia is a great place for beginner and advanced sailors alike. The weather is governed by the northeast trade winds. The best time for sailing is in the beginning of the year, from December to May, because the rain showers and thunderstorms are less prevalent. The rainy season lasts typically from June until November. Because of its proximity to the equator, temperatures in St. Lucia hover around 29 °C (84.2 °F) year round. In the wintertime the northeast trade winds travel at a steady 10 knots to a livelier 25 knots in the summer. Wind speed and strength increases as you reach the northern ends of the islands.
We recommend beginners plan their trip during the winter or spring, as summer and fall may be too windy or rainy for a novice to want to venture. However, temperatures are perfect year round and no matter when you choose to visit, St. Lucia will have a unique adventure waiting for you. 12 Knots helps you plan your trip, making it an easy sailing experience filled with luxury and laughter. We offer luxury as well as bareboat yachts, and motorboats and yachts for those less experienced in sailing. However, if learning to sail interests you (especially after taking your first Caribbean sailing vacation), 12 Knots Yachting Club has a sailing school, where you can learn the ropes of exploring the open ocean.
12 Knots invites you to book a yacht charter and explore St. Lucia with us. Our charter fleet of sailing yachts are perfect for families, friends, or solo travelers. We offer affordable weeklong trips, where you can be guided to the best destinations in and around St. Lucia, or venture off on your own into the Caribbean Sea. From small bareboat vessels to grand luxury yachts, 12 Knots has everything you’re looking for. Meet us at the Rodney Bay Marina for the St. Lucia vacation of a lifetime.

Sailing yachts offer a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere, so you can enjoy the sound of the wind and waves while taking in the scenic beauty of St. Lucia.
Motor yachts, however, offer greater speed and convenience, allowing you to cover more ground in less time. This can be advantageous if you have a tight itinerary or want to visit multiple locations in a shorter period. Many motor yachts also have luxurious amenities, spacious cabins, and a high comfort level. If you prefer a more lavish experience, a motor yacht might be the way to go.
Other types of boats can be rented for day trips in St. Lucia and surrounding areas. These could include a bareboat charter, a skippered yacht charter, and catamarans.
What is the best time for a luxury yacht charter in St. Lucia?
St. Lucia enjoys pleasant weather year-round, but the high season runs from December to April. This is the most popular time for luxury yacht charters in St. Lucia, as the weather is consistently beautiful, with warm temperatures, low humidity, and minimal rainfall. The calm sea conditions and gentle trade winds make it an ideal time for sailing. However, this popularity means that charter prices can be higher, and there might be limited availability, so booking well in advance is advisable.
During the shoulder season (October and March to April), charterers can still enjoy beautiful conditions with fewer crowds. While there may be occasional showers, the overall weather is typically favorable.
The low season (May to October) falls within the hurricane season, so there’s a higher risk of tropical storms and hurricanes. While it’s the least crowded and least expensive time for charters, it is essential to monitor weather forecasts closely if you choose to charter during these months.
Where can I embark on my charter yacht in St. Lucia?
Rodney bay marina.
One of the most popular marinas for yacht charters in St. Lucia is well-equipped with amenities, including restaurants, bars, and provisioning services. It’s also conveniently located in the island’s northern part, with Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) and George F.L. Charles Airport (SLU) nearby.
Marigot Bay Marina Village
Marigot Bay is a beautiful and tranquil spot for yacht charters. The marina offers stunning views and a range of services, including restaurants and bars.
Castries Harbor
St. Lucia’s capital, Castries, offers a harbor where some charters may begin. It’s conveniently located for those arriving by air and wanting to embark in the capital.
What sets a St. Lucia yacht charter apart from other Caribbean destinations?
The natural beauty of St. Lucia truly knows no bounds. St. Lucia’s west coast is where you will find the island’s most beautiful beaches, including the lengthy panorama of Reduit and the southerly Anse Chastanet. The Ti Kaye Resort & Spa is not far from there, a resort you can visit by superyacht and step ashore for a luxurious spa treatment. Wellness is a top priority on the island of St. Lucia. Other spa options include the Rainforest Spa at Sugar Beach, located right between the Pitons and the Marigot Bay Spa Village. The latter is located in a beautiful bay, where the deep water turns from jade to gold as the sun sets, and the sound of tree frogs and music ricochets across the water from Hurricane Hole – Marigot Bay’s best bar.
St. Lucia is famous for its iconic twin peaks, the Pitons, which rise dramatically from the sea. These UNESCO World Heritage-listed landmarks provide a stunning backdrop for your yacht charter and offer excellent hiking and diving opportunities. The islands’ volcanic past has created unique attractions, such as the Sulphur Springs mud baths and the drive-in volcano. These experiences are distinctive to the island and make it a bucket-list destination for seasoned travelers.
What is the official language of St. Lucia?
The official language of Saint Lucia is English. English serves as the primary language for government, education, business, and everyday communication on the island. While there may be various local dialects spoken informally among the population, English is the language of instruction in schools and is widely understood and spoken by the majority of residents.
What can I expect from the weather on a St. Lucia yacht charter vacation?
On a yacht charter vacation in St. Lucia, you can expect warm and tropical weather for much of the year, providing ideal conditions for sailing and exploring the island’s stunning coastline. Here’s what you can generally expect from the weather:
- Temperature : St. Lucia enjoys warm temperatures year-round, with average highs ranging from the mid-80s to low 90s Fahrenheit (around 29-32 degrees Celsius). Evenings are usually pleasantly mild, with temperatures dropping to the mid-70s Fahrenheit (around 24 degrees Celsius).
- Rainfall : St. Lucia has a distinct wet season and dry season. The wet season typically runs from June to November, with increased rainfall and occasional tropical showers. The dry season, from December to May, offers minimal rainfall and plenty of sunshine, making it an ideal time for yacht charters.
- Humidity : St. Lucia can be quite humid, especially during the wet season. Humidity levels are typically higher in the summer months, but the constant trade winds help to keep conditions comfortable, particularly along the coastline.
- Trade Winds : The island benefits from consistent trade winds, particularly along the eastern coast, providing ideal conditions for sailing. These refreshing breezes help to moderate temperatures and make for enjoyable sailing experiences.
- Hurricanes : St. Lucia is located in the hurricane belt, but it is less prone to direct hits from hurricanes compared to some other Caribbean islands. The island has well-developed infrastructure and effective disaster preparedness measures in place to mitigate the impact of hurricanes.

Guide to St Lucia
The lush tropical jewel of the Windward Islands
Known by many as the jewel of the Windward Islands, St. Lucia is a pleasure to behold for every visiting superyacht traveller. The interior is diverse in landscapes, from verdant hills to volcanic sands whilst a scattering of elegant eateries and well-equipped harbours ensure a feeling of luxury.
St. Lucia’s famous Mount Gimie soars some 3,000 feet at its peak to form a dramatic welcome as you approach aboard your luxury charter yacht . An abundance of flora and fauna, including wild orchids and giant ferns, can be found among the forested slopes, filling the air with beautiful floral scents.
Through these forests are a number of curving trails and hiking paths where you can spot the wide variety of tropical birds and wildlife that inhabit the Caribbean island. One of the most popular of these and well-worth a visit during a day or two ashore is the Soufriére volcano and its trail that goes deep into the crater.
The twin peaks of the Pitons are another unmissable sight. Accorded with World Heritage status, the monolithic volcanic cones are located on the south west coast of the island and their surrounding waters are part of a marine park, teeming with fascinating marine life.
As well as secluded beach hideaways, the island also offers an eclectic mix of cultures and exciting events to discover. A world-renowned Jazz festival takes place annually in May while the Gros Islet houses a street party every Friday.
The Windward Islands are one of the most popular areas in the Caribbean, if not the world, for sailing. The ideal conditions on the Northeast trade belt and stunning coastline views create the perfect setting for a sailing yacht charter and St. Lucia itself boasts many picturesque harbours. Rodney Bay is a go-to base for many yacht charters due to its leisurely nearby sails, chic boutiques and restaurants that occupy the harbour.
The island is also a fantastic place to start a charter itinerary in the region, the longest of which is the passage between St. Lucia and St. Vincent where a patchwork of tropical islands pepper the turquoise waters along the way.

Whether aboard a large luxury yacht charter with crew looking after your every need, or a bareboat charter sailing yacht, a catamaran charter St Lucia will allow you to enjoy the best of the Windward Island chain.
Saint Lucia is a major yachting centre in the Windward Island section of the eastern Caribbean Sea. With great resorts like Rodney Bay and Marigot Bay, as well as beaches on the West Coast such as Anse Chastanet, you will be spoiled for choice as to what best to do even before leaving the island to explore Martinique to the north or St Vincent and the Grenadines to the south.
St Lucia Destinations
Broadly the west coast, northern end of the island is where you'll spend much of your time on a St Lucia yacht charter. Rodney Bay Marina is a major yachting destination for people heading west from Europe by boat, and here you will have lots of fun in nearby Gros Islet or a bit of chill time on Pigeon Island national park.
Further south on the west coast is the deep cove of Marigot Bay. This is a hurricane hole in the summer months but is also a great place with its resort on the steep hillsides.
South again on your St Lucia boating trip you can come ashore at Anse Chastanet beach with its fantastic sunsets. Not far inland from here is the Toraille Waterfall, a great place to explore as part of the inland beauty of the island.
Vieux Fort is on the southern tip of Saint Lucia. Close to the international airport, you may spend time here before joining your charter yacht to the north, or spend the evening here before heading out to St Vincent and the Grenadines to the south.
Other Islands Nearby
On your St Lucia yacht charter it is almost the law that you should go island hopping! With so much to enjoy, you'd miss much in not going to see another Windward Island or two!
Immediately to the north of Rodney Bay on nearby Martinique is the water sports centre of Le Marin with its extremely large and well equipped marina. From here you could island hop north via Guadeloupe and Antigua on to St Kitts and Nevis in the Leeward Islands - another week afloat could take you to the Virgin Islands too... But looking south from St Lucia there is much to explore that is far closer.
Saint Vincent is the next island south. Hit by a volcanic eruption in recent times it is rebuilding its economy, with tourism a major source of foreign currency. Drop anchor at Wallilabou Bay anchorage with its fantastic resort that was also the main set for the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, a set that has been maintained by the resort owners.
On a St Lucia catamaran charter you can head further south still to destinations like Union Island or Tobago Cay with its fantastic snorkeling and fishing opportunities and to Admiralty Bay on Bequia - a large, well protected anchorage used for hundreds of years.
There is a lot to take in - in choosing a St Lucia catamaran charter with Borrow a Boat! Why not visit time and again to enjoy different parts?
A luxury yacht charter is one of the best ways to enjoy a St Lucia yacht charter holiday. With an often large vessel just for you and your fellow charter guests' use, on a crewed yacht charter the skipper and crew will look after your every need afloat. They will look after the tender as you venture ashore on islands like Le Marin and Tobago Cay, and perhaps make suggestions as to the best spots to enjoy a first class meal or activity of your choice.
On a bareboat charter catamaran charter you will have the space and added privacy to get the luxury yacht from A-B at your own pace.
St Lucia Catamaran Charter Types
Though you will often have to have a sailing license for a larger vessel, a bareboat charter will give you complete freedom and privacy to do what you want. Unlike a monohull sailing yacht, a catamaran charter yacht will often come with en suite heads in all the cabins, an AC generator and all the comforts of home as you captain your own ship.
A skippered catamaran charter can range from a 46ft+ catamaran. The skipper aboard will look after the sailing and make suggestions as to your next destinations, with you playing as much or as little a role in getting from A-B as you want. It is customary to pay a tip at the end of the trip, on top of the $100-$150 a day fee for the skipper you pay as well as the basic charter fee.
A crewed catamaran charter could mean a 60ft yacht with skipper and crew, but could also mean a superyacht or crewed yacht charter with a team of people looking after your every need. As well as sailing the vessel up the Leeward Islands or Windward Islands, they will cook, look after the housekeeping and water toys, and provide you with the service you expect at the top end of yacht charter holiday experiences.
Catamaran Types in St Lucia
Sailing catamaran.
Ranging from a 40ft yacht to much, much larger, this will be enjoyable to sail (particularly with the wind aft of the beam) and unlike a monohull sailboat will often have en suite heads in all the staterooms. You will have plenty of entertainment space aboard and even the smaller vessels will have room for water toys such as paddleboards and kite surfing gear or even diving gear and jet skis. If the windage of the catamaran sailing boat gets too much, powerful twin engines will be able to get you upwind to your next destination too!
Motor Catamaran
Ranging from 46ft to over 100ft LOA, you can charter a luxury motor yacht catamaran with crew or bareboat. Thanks to the wider beam they are more stable than a monohull motor yacht (no one going green at sea unless too much drink was involved!) and much faster. This could allow for longer legs, perhaps between the party centre of Gros Islet and a relaxed anchorage like Admiralty Bay .
What can you do on a Catamaran charter in St Lucia?
There are three broad types of sailing holiday to be had in St Lucia - family, outdoor or party.
Partying can mean stays in fashionable spots like Le Marin or Marigot Bay, or it can mean something a little crazier at a beach bar with lots of rum punch!
Family holidays are the bread and butter of the Caribbean Island economy. You can relax in great places like Anse Chastanet or Vieux Fort on your catamaran yacht charter vacation.
Active holidays are increasingly popular here too. The Pitons beckon the mmountain biker or hiker! Snorkeling and diving are great in several locations, but so is walking and mountain biking. Saint Vincent is is great for exploring the inland jewels as are Tobago Cay for its beautiful reefs and Pigeon Island is a great place to escape the buzz of life ashore.
What does an average day on a St Lucia Yacht charter look like?
A catamaran charter boat charter on St Lucia can mean a variety of things to different people. The sailing is reliably excellent so a blast at sea every day will be a core part of the fun.
For the family or older ones, you can sail between hidden coves and quiet sandy beaches, while visiting fishing villages and quieter resorts.
You will want to sail for several hours a day - with the near perfect sailing conditions this is unmissable. Watching the marine life and tropical fish from the windward rail on a beam reach as the catamaran bounds across the sea will be an unforgettable experience.
Resorts such as Gros Islet and those on smaller islands in the Windward Islands can be alcohol fuelled or completely relaxed as you choose - with or without the kids in tow!
As such your typical day could be a mix of things, from an early start to blast off to the next island to waking up at lunchtime feeling a little green around the gills and thanking your crew for getting you back aboard. The choice is down to you.
Why Saint Lucia is superb for a Catamaran Charter
From its fashionable resorts, to jaw dropping scenery and perfect temperatures, a Saint Lucia catamaran charter holiday is something that cannot be missed. You can party the night away at one of the world renowned beach bars, chill on an almost empty beach and enjoy the world-class sailing to be had. A St Lucian yacht charter is one of those sailing holidays you will never forget!
Do You Need A Licence To Charter A Catamaran In St Lucia?
If you are on a skippered or crewed catamaran charter you do not need a license to sail on the Caribbean Sea - you can just turn up at the marina and go.
You do need a license if you are on a bareboat catamaran charter and in some countries a Day Skipper or ICC may not be enough for boats over 45 feet in length, you will need to check with the charter agent but here are some examples of typical sailing qualifications that will allow you to charter in most countries:
**International Certificate of Competence:** This is issued on request by your European sailing authority and you should automatically qualify with certain national sailing qualifications.
**RYA Qualifications:** If you have the following qualifications you will typically be able to take a bareboat charter out of Rhodes (but it is worth checking as per above), these include Day Skipper (sail or motor endorsement), Coastal Skipperor Yachtmaster.
**American** **Sailing** **Association (ASA):** The ASA 104 Bareboat certificate is commonly accepted but also check as per above
**US** **Sailing**: The International Proficiency Certificate is widely accepted and The Bareboat Cruising Certificate is also accepted in many cases.
Best Time to Book Your St Lucia Catamaran Yacht Charter
Unlike Europe, the sailing season in the Caribbean runs from November to May - perfect for a dose of winter sun. The NE Trades are settled and you will encounter weather between 25-35 degrees C.
Within this period, March and April after the winter northerlies have passed are cooler yet the sailing is just as fun as the rest of the year. St Lucia is after all a tropical country!
For those who want to try something a little outside their comfort zone, August and September are said to be the very best sailing months of all.
There's a problem with this - many yacht charter fleets will not be in the area thanks to hurricane season that runs between July and October. If booked and a hurricane is on its way your holiday will be cancelled. There is no minimising the danger of being in the region in a hurricane - there is no high ground and with the general trend for ever fiercer storms, it is not an experience to even risk being around for.
The Climate
**North East Trade Winds**: Similar to those of the Canary Islands these are regular and can get up to F6 at times, but steady and predictable.
May to November is hurricane season, and while the sailing can be fun it can be dangerous. With climate change as it is, hurricanes have increased in ferocity and frequency, and it really isn't worth the risk.
Why Use Borrow A Boat For a St Lucia Catamaran Charter:
Borrow A Boat is the leading boat rental and yacht charter marketplace worldwide with over 35,000 boat listings across 65 + countries worldwide. Launched in 2017 by yachting and boating enthusiasts with decades of yachting experience, Borrow a Boat acts as a broker for the world's most impressive superyachts and motor boat charters. We cover North America, the Mediterranean, Caribbean, South Pacific and Rest Of World. Wherever in the world you want to sail, we have a luxury yacht and superyacht to take you there via our trusted network of industry contacts.
We are an independent broker, which ensures you receive the maximum choice of vessel at the most competitive prices. Alongside our passion for yachting, our commitment to service and decades of luxury yacht experience ensures your luxury yacht charter will be an unforgettable experience. Most importantly, all our luxury yachts and superyacht charters meet stringent and current safety and insurance requirements in their respective locations.
Our captains and crew have personal experience of the world's best and safest anchorages and marinas, alongside in-depth local knowledge of cultural attractions, shore dining and entertainment opportunities.
The main points to consider are what is your budget, have you got the necessary sailing experience and qualifications to manage the boat if it's not going to have a skipper, whom you are taking sailing, where exactly you wish to go and what will the weather be like on the proposed dates of your trip.
You will typically pay 50% up front on booking the catamaran hire and the balance on arrival. You will either pay a security deposit with your credit card on departure or can get insurance covering damage in advance. In some cases (such as the recent Covid situation) charter companies may be more flexible but this depends on the individual charter companies themselves.
If you are at sea and in danger, call MAYDAY on VHF Ch16 or ring the coast guard on your phone if you have reception. If you have a mechanical fault and can make it to or are on a mooring you will be able to phone a help line number given by the boat charter company and they can typically send someone from the charter base
You should consider do you have the experience to handle the catamaran before you book and where do you want to go along with what the weather will be like. Bring warm weather and cool weather clothing if it looks like the weather can be cool as well as warm and remember at sea it can be cool in the evenings.
If you want to sail without a skipper then you will need relevant qualifications like RYA Day Skipper/International Certificate of Competence (ICC)/ASA 104 Bareboat certificate or the US Sailing Certificate. If you choose to have a skipper on board your catamaran you won't require licences.
We are confident that our prices are the most competitive and transparent in the market.
We won't charge any booking fees when you make a booking with us.
We have the highest number of verified and vetted boats available on the market.

TOP-RATED ADVENTURES FOR OUR GUESTS
After much research of various excursions, my husband and I choose the Tout Bagay tour on Jus Tango Catamaran. We had so much fun that we decided to go on the tour for a second time and added the horseback-riding option. The crew was very knowledgeable, organized and entertaining.
A fabulous way to experience the sulphur springs, a waterfall, amazing fish and coral (snorkelling), a taste of Soufriere, the Morne Estate for a delicious lunch and close-up views of Marigot Bay. Add the horse riding option for otherwise inaccessible spots with amazing views from up high.
If You want island viewing from at cat at sea, this is trip for you! If want history of town near Pitons-and Cajun lunch , this trip is for you! If you want volcano experience & face painting with volcanic mud, this trip is for you !! If you to snorkel & booze cruise (rum punch + Piton beer), this trip is for you!!!
We went to St. Lucia on a cruise ship. This was not our first trip to the island but definitely the most enjoyable so far. We booked a land / sea tour to Soufriere. Our tour started in Castries and went along the west coast by bus to Soufriere. Stopping a couple of times along the way for pictures.
We booked a trip around the west coast of the island on one of the company’s catamarans. It was an amazing way to see the sights. The crew were incredibly attentive and really looked after the passengers. The tour included a visit to the sulphur springs, which were brilliant.
