KAOS Yacht – Extravagant $300M Superyacht

KAOS yacht (formerly JUBILEE and AL MENWAR) is an award-winning superyacht that was recently refitted with a completely redesigned interior.

At 110 metres (361ft) and 4,523 tons, she was the largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands at the time of her launch in 2017.

The vessel was recently spotted off the coast of southern Spain before dropping anchor in the beach town of Marbella.

Kaos yacht interior

The interior of the motor yacht was originally designed by Sam Sorgiovanni who is originally from Australia and aims to unite practicality with beauty through his unique designs.

The vessel was made completely wheelchair accessible including elevators and barrier-free access to all decks.

The process took a year and with the help of the British designer Reymond Langton, the interior was transformed.

KAOS has room for 31 guests in 16 cabins. This includes a lavish owner’s suite which consists of two separate bedrooms.

There are also four VIP suites and ten standard suites with ensuite bathrooms. All guest cabins are located on the upper deck.

45 staff distributed across 24 cabins find space on the lower levels of the vessel. Only the cabins for the captain and first officer are located on the bridge deck.

The KAOS yacht was designed with maximum comfort in mind. Her interior includes lavish facilities such as a spacious elevator, a steam room, a full gym, as well as an indoor beach club.

Originally she was constructed with Middle Eastern design in mind which includes features such as a large majelis, which is a dedicated seating and entertainment area meant for hosting guests.

The KAOS yacht also has a large cinema, a sauna, and full spa facilities. Below the deck, there is a separate crew gym and a small hospital in case of medical emergencies.

The interior design can be described as lavish and luxurious. White and blue carpeted floors with intricate designs compliment the exterior of the vessel and its signature aqua color.

Golden accents and cream upholstery go well with the wooden elements such as the teak flooring.

Opulent furnishing with many indirect lighting accents creates a feeling of coziness and luxury.

Specifications

At the time of her launch in 2017, the KAOS yacht was the largest yacht ever built by the custom yacht builder Oceano as well as the largest yacht built in the Netherlands.

At a length of 110 meters (361ft), a beam of 16.4 meters (53 ft), and a maximum draft of 4.4 meters (14.5 ft), she is currently ranked as the 39th largest motor yacht in the world, together with motor yachts ANNA, RADIANT and AL RAYA who measure the same length.

She displaces 4,523 tons and is known for her unusual design, which is very sleek and minimalist.

KAOS can reach speeds of up to 19 knots with an average speed of 15 knots which is not the fastest in her weight category but still impressive for her large size.

As expected from Oceano, she was constructed primarily from aluminum and steel and has a fuel capacity of 391,000 liters as well as a 230,000-litre freshwater tank. She is powered by impressive MTU engines fuelling two propellers.

The KAOS yacht can host 31 guests in 16 cabins as well as 45 crew in 24 cabins. Her maximum range is estimated to be somewhere around 5,000 nautical miles.

The KAOS yacht is an exceptionally beautiful yacht that was built prioritizing modern and minimalist design.

Lobanov Design is responsible for her eye-catching exterior, which focuses on futuristic elements combined with optical illusions.

Established in 2007, this design studio is known to be young, offering unique perspectives and modern approaches.

She was built with curved lines in mind incorporating elements of glass and metal in a nautical context.

Her all-around glass fronts create an optical illusion letting the yacht appear to have several more decks than she actually has.

The so-called trompe l’oeil effect lets KAOS appear sleek and elongated, setting her apart from traditional yacht design. Her designer Lobanov describes the modeling process for KAOS.

“The 3D modeling was quite a challenging task, which pleased my mathematical part of the brain. Each of the layers meets and splits under certain rules, which can be noticed from different angles.”

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 99681110-1024x683.jpg

Her exterior is white with light blue accents, which are contrasted by the many darkly tinted windows.

She has four decks, the largest of which is the aft which has a sizable swimming pool with a built-in aquarium and seating areas.

Several smaller decks are located on higher levels, although most of them are hidden in shaded areas.

Close to the top of the superstructure, a small jacuzzi is situated, allowing guests to enjoy incredible views while relaxing.

At the bow, a helipad is located, including refueling facilities for small to medium-sized helicopter aircraft. Below the helipad, the mooring deck is cleverly concealed for aesthetic purposes.

At the stern of the vessel, the KAOS yacht has an extendable swimming platform that can be closed completely when the yacht is underway.

This platform leads directly to a lounge area inside the yacht, complete with a state-of-the-art entertainment system, TV, and storage space.

On the starboard side of the aft, there is a separate platform for docking tenders and releasing water toys.

KAOS also possesses a modern underwater lighting system and state-of-the-art stabilizers for the comfort of guests when the vessel is underway or at anchor.

Toys and equipment

The KAOS yacht carries at least two tenders, one of which almost looks like a miniature version of the main vessel with the same blue and white design and tinted windows.

They were built by Pascoe International , a renowned company specializing in tenders for superyachts.

She carries a wide array of water toys, including several jet skis, water bobs, and paddleboards.

Previous names

Originally the KAOS yacht was built in the Netherlands by Oceano under the name SECRET III. Upon her launch, she was officially named JUBILEE and then renamed AL MENWAR by the royal family of Qatar, the House of Thani.

300 000 dollar yacht

Financial Samurai

The $300 Million Dollar “A” Yacht Owned By A Russian Billionaire

Well, well, well.  Not everyday does a $300 million dollar mega yacht stop by the San Francisco Bay Area!  The creatively named “A” yacht is owned by 38 year old Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko and his lovely supermodel wife Aleksandra!  Andrey made his money in fertilizer, banking, and energy and is worth a reported $4.4 billion dollars.  Interest alone on $4.4 billion at 4% is over $178 million a year!

The “A” looks like something out of a James Bond movie.  Can you imagine all the crazy parties on this bad boy?  Wow!  I rode my bike to the very north end of San Francisco to take a look and boy oh boy is it big.

Some nice mouth watering yacht stats for all you billionaire wannabes out there!

* 25,000 square feet of total living space

* 2,500 square foot master bedroom suite

* 160 foot long main hallway

* 62 feet wide

* 6 cabins in addition to the owner's master bedroom suite

* 3 speed boats

* 3 mini swimming pools

* A crew of 37 and staff of 5

* Can outrun pirates (or the Russian IRS) with a top speed of 24 knots

* Costs $500,000 to fill up the tank of gas

* Costs $20 million a year to operate

* A secret escape pod to outrun the pirates or the Russian IRS

* A secret “nookie” room for indiscretions with other super models

300 000 dollar yacht

TOTAL INSPIRATION

Some people might say this $300 million yacht is an absolute monstrosity and that $300 million could have been spent helping save the world.  Yes, Andrey could have spent the $300 million on someone else, but shouldn't he have the right to occasionally indulge?  Andrey already donates millions of dollars a year to charity and he's living the dream because he can.

I used to drive to the toniest of neighborhoods in San Francisco and walk around the neighborhood just admiring the mansions.  Whenever I felt down and out, these mansions would pick me up.  If you happen to be in San Francisco, tell the cab driver to drop you off at Broadway St. and Lyon.  Bring your running shoes too as you'll arrive at one of San Francisco's most popular workout routine.

300 000 dollar yacht

The street is littered with $25-50 million houses and I just gawk in amazement.  Do I envy these mega millionaires?  Not at all.  They give me inspiration to work harder and make it on my own.

YOU KNOW YOU WOULD TO

I don't know about you, but if I was worth $4.4 billion dollars I'd happily own this mega yacht as well.  Furthermore, I'd probably own 20 different properties around the world where I'd sail to for 6 months of the year.  Of course, for the other 6 months of the year I'd be building my online blogging endeavors so I can diversify my income stream (I kid)!

Oh yeah, I forgot one thing.  If I were a billionaire and owned this mega yacht, I'd immediately fly over all the members of The Yakezie Network and party it up all weekend long!  OK, all month long!

Readers , if you were a billionaire, what kind of indulgences would you splurge on?  What are some of the things the rich do to inspire you?  To look at more pictures of the “A” yacht, check out the WSJ's feature!

' src=

Any chance you can provide analysis with regard to someone that wants to buy a $1.5 M yacht?

' src=

The man earned it. Let him be. The rule is that if you earned the money, you should have the right to spend it as you wish…I wish I can afford that kind of luxury…

' src=

Owning a luxury yacht no matter how capacious it might be is a privilege that a few people can afford. If you worked hard for the money that’s financing the purchase then I don’t see why you cannot splurge.

' src=

Owning multiple homes is a headache you DO NOT want.

Owning a well-buillt home is nice. I didn’t find it necessary to spend over $20million, and it would have been one quarter of that had I not built in Maui.

Owning a capacious yacht is… nice, but some people do go overboard. (Pun intended.)

The trust fund comment is the best way to ensure what you want to give keeps on giving long after you are dust, but if your investment return is only four percent then you need a new consultant – NOW.

Cheers! – Oleander

' src=

You are probably right, however I just realized that owning multiple homes is the cure for homesickness when vacationing the world!!

' src=

Cool yatch. If i have that kind of money, i’ll get myself a Jet to travel the world and ease my business trips. I’ll also drive say a maybach (my dream ride).

' src=

Nice boat :-) .. although I must say the yachts at wally.com are beyond luxury .. and priced accordingly.

' src=

you are one shallow guy and will never be satisfied in life. lets you get $10mil, then you want $100 mil, then you want $1bil, then $2bil, and so on and so on.

how old are you? still haven’t figured it out?

' src=

Yes, enjoy the fruits of your labor. But be generous and give a lot away. The best way to get more of something is to give it away freely (e.g. love, wisdom, money, etc.).

' src=

cool post! I love reading about what the ultra wealthy spend their money on!

If i were a billionaire… hmm… Well, I’d prolly try to use a lot of that money for good. I feel like if more ultra wealthy individuals where to investigate, truly look deeper into different parts poor and impoverished areas, they would be able to find so many ways to help them, with a lot less money than one might thing. For instance, supplying every public school in the inner city with actual computer for children to learn on. I remember I used a computer in elementary school ages ago, and yet I was in a public, inner city school a few months back delivering them free computers from my company because they had none. yes, none. What a world we live in!

AND I’d play tennis, wake board, surf, and go 4 wheelin alllll day:)

' src=

If I were a billionaire (although I’d be happy with multimillionaire, too!), I’d buy a home in Hawaii that had its own private beach! And I’d also purchase a larger home for myself and my family, but not as big as the mansion featured in this post! I’d love to do the interior design on a mansion — that could be a full-time job in and of itself.

' src=

wow. It’s hard to imagine what kind of life that guy lives. I think I’d get home sick being on a yacht for so many days but it would be fun to sail around the world! The design of the yacht reminds me of the Nautilus in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

' src=

An old colleague who was ex-army told me:

“Hey college boy, remember this: If it floats, flies, or f***ks, then rent… don’t buy!”

8% upkeep a year on an asset is a terrible investment- it’s the opposite of the rosy stock market predictions of 8% gains a year… the only faster way to destroy wealth is getting divorced on that yacht.

That’s a good saying! However, you he can make $170 million a year risk free, and still have $4.4 billion left over every year… so why not?

' src=

This will not sound like your typical indulgence. However, if I was a billionaire, I would purchase a big production company

' src=

Thats a huge boat. You know something just happened to fall into that guys lap to get a boat that big. Some day things will be different for most of us if we change things on a personal and financial level.

I think rarely things just fall into one’s lap. We’ve got to hustle and work hard to hopefully be in the right place at the right time. This guy certainly was!

Gas guzzler indeed. $500,000 to fill the tank up!

Frankly, the billionaire is employing 37+ people for his boat, and helping the economy!

' src=

How far can he go on one tank of gas?

' src=

Great post! This reminds me of my college experience (not the yacht, the inspiration!).

I come from a low-income background (mom is a school nurse and dad is on medical “retirement”), but had strong grades and got accepted to a private, expensive, liberal arts school. I wanted to save the world, but I was surrounded by oil kids and telco kids. (It’s texas, after all!) Some of my other normie friends, the non-rich, continuously hated on the rich kids. They would complain about the bmw’s, the ferrari’s, and the two-story fancy frat houses that daddy paid for. But I didn’t. I saw what my friends had, and I realized that I could give my kids all that my friends’ parents gave them. I realized that I could have this life if I worked smart and got a little bit lucky.

The lives they lived inspired me.

Now I travel, make money, and love my life. Those normie friends that complained still complain about their lot in life, still live in poor neighborhoods, and still work at tiny companies making 15$ / hour. They accepted the life they were born in to, while I was inspired to earn the life I deserved.

When i am a billionaire, I will splurge on condos throughout the world. Im lazy to clean and cheap to pay staff, so Ill get condos to have a place to stay throughout the world. Capital cities and such. In addition, i’d want a really nice sound system for my house and a pool.

Craig – love the attitude man! We can sit around and complain, or we can go out there and do something about our lives. That’s what I hope some of the writing here can help instill. There’s bagillions of dollars out there and great careers.

Let’s got out and get them ourselves and not rely on handouts from the government or others if we can avoid it. And we are called upon to help others out, let’s do it, and with great persistence!

' src=

I can’t imagine. Even the master bedroom is bigger than my home + my mom’s home. Ridiculous.

I wouldn’t want any of that if I had that much money. I’d want nicer things than I have now, but not that extravagant.

' src=

I was thinking the same as Rob. That master bedroom is 50% bigger than my entire home.

Although I would love to party on the yacht with the rest of the Yakezie, I wouldn’t want this yacht or a $50 million home if I had that option. i would want to live more modestly (although upscale) and give a little more to others.

' src=

@ Investor Junkie

If I’m not mistaken, I believe that house is author Danielle Steel’s mansion in Pacific Heights which can be found here:

https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=&vps=1&jsv=268b&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=41.496446,93.076172&ie=UTF8&geocode=FZisQAIdreez-A&split=0

Washington/Octavia in Pacific Heights, SF

' src=

Wow that is insane. The master bedroom alone is almost three times as big as my house! But, of course that is what $300 million can buy you.

As for my indulgences, I don’t think I would have a yacht. But I would definitely have a plane (or two or three…I’m kind of obsessed with flying).

What about “Airwolf”? I love flying, but I’m always a little fearful of the plane exploding.

Just remember that you are safer in a plane than a car.

True, which is why I walk everywhere. j/k.

' src=

That yacht looks like it’s half submarine. All set to take a dive from the Russian IRS.

Well, if I had a ton of dough at the moment I would probably spend it on traveling. I’d go back to Africa for a long long safari. Then I’d hit Egypt. My favorite art is Egyptian so I’d check that out up and down the Nile. Then off to China to see that great terracotta army of the Qin Dynasty ruler Shihuangdi. I saw a few of those statues at the Met and they were amazingly powerful. With billions left after that I’m sure I’ll think of something interesting to do…

Definitely does look like a sub that’s able to do a deep dive! Xi’an is great. Definitely check it out and eat a lot of spicy food!

' src=

I honestly have no idea what I would buy. I know who I would want to help out, but I can’t think of anything outlandish that I would buy. That’s not to say that I wouldn’t, but maybe I need to have a bit of that cash before my imagination gets going ;-)

Come on man, ya gotta grow some imagination! There are tons of things out there to buy! Like perhaps a nice pet Flemish rabbit!

A flemish rabbit? Hahaha!

I know it sounds weird, but I really can’t think of anything. My house would probably have 5 bedrooms, tops!

I’ve just never been attracted to anything like that, but as I said, my imagination might get sparked by getting that type of money!

' src=

LOL. thanks for including the Yakezie members to party it up! BTW, there is a beautiful yacht named Mercedes that is located in the Newport harbor that I would dearly love to own! ;)

Of course C, everyone is invited! But, I’d only have 6 guest rooms, so people would have to bunk.

' src=

I’m a bit shy of the Billionaire status but I formally announce the opening of the Yakezie mega year long Los Angeles party. Anyone in LA call me up and we’ll party down anytime. Who needs fertilizer? We got Yakezie.

Neal-san, I have full confidence you will be our first Yakezie Billionaire soon!

Everybody needs fertilizer. Just look at the huge bid by BHP for Potash! Population growth = lots of agri and fertilizer needs.

' src=

Hmmm. We’d have to say that we’d build an Oprah Winfrey-like school in one or several impoverished area where girls face many learning adversities. We’d also build a series of linked orphanages around the world. After reaching certain philanthropy landmarks, we would consider buying a private island.

All admirable things to do! I would love to hear more about indulgences though :)

I haven’t gone jogging in the Mansion filled area in a while, and plan to do so this weekend. I love getting inspired and seeing what the possibilities are! What’s are the sayings?

“It is never easy to keep reaching for dreams. Strength and courage can sometimes be lonely friends. But those who do reach the stars, walk in stardust.”

“Ah, but a man’s reach should exceed his grasp–or what’s a heaven for?” – Robert Browning

“Reach for the moon, ’cause even if you miss you land among the stars.”

Fight on, forever!

' src=

If i had billions, I’d buy a solid gold house with a room for my tiny giraffe. Kidding of course. I think if I had that much money I’d really want to help as many people as I could, so I’d look into ways that the money could be used to best help the most people possible. And I’d buy a tiny giraffe.

I think we’d all help people, and one of the ways is to simply set up a trust. $1 billion trust throwing off $40 million in tax free income a year helps a lot of people FOREVER!

' src=

I’d probably rent a yacht, not own one. Too much of a hassle to manage.

I’d love to have that kind of cash. I think giving is one of the hardest parts. How do you give without people feeling entitled to your cash just because they’re family or friends. I have certain family members who wouldn’t get a cent and others I’d give freely to. But what about those people that you like but not that close to? Decisions, decisions. Any way you slice it, I think it’s a problem I wouldn’t mind having.

Not a problem I wouldn’t mind having either. Renting is a practical application, but you are a bagillionaire! You don’t have hassles b/c you hire others to deal with the hassles for you.

That is one sweet yacht… though $300 mill seems rather excessive when you are getting into cruise ship territory?

I don’t think it’s a monstrosity… it’s pretty sweet… but if I had that kind of money, I’d personally would have what IMO are better uses! ;)

Share with us your better uses! Only $20 million a year to operate, not bad!

Since we’re talking about the ocean…

https://www.seasteading.org/

Now there’s 300 million that could make a difference.

' src=

I’m all for the Yakezie party on the Yacht. Bring it on!

As for what I’d do with my millions or billions, well I’d move to Ojai and live like a hippie / artist. I’d still write for my blog, but venture into children’s books (instead of teaching directly!) I’d donate my time to personal finance seminars for high school students.

Oh wait, am I suppose to say what I’d spend my money on? I know my husband would like a boat and a few high-end cars- so that’s a no-brainer. I’d like a few cool dutch bicycles; maybe a cargo bike. Of course, I could indulge in my bicycle fleet without being a millionaire. I guess I’d like to travel in a personal jet; that way my husband would actually come with me (he hates flying.)

I think I’d have trouble spending my money. ;)

Ojai huh? Gonna have to look that up bc I have no idea where that is! P Definitely a good idea to splurge on he hubble. It’s the way things shud always be even if u were a billionaire right? ; S :)

' src=

I’d fly out to party on a yacht like that or even a fourth of what that is!!!

I didn’t realize how big it was until you said it was 25,000 sq ft, and then I saw the tiny boat beside it.

I wonder when such yachts should just be called a ship instead?

I blogged a few months ago about getting a yacht if I were plain rich and decided against it. But if I were super mega rich… well then sure, why not! Probably not near that big though… At least for a few years, just to get it out of my system.

Like Everyday Tips, I think I rather have a nice house on the ocean somewhere in California or maybe the Hamptons… Then again there is always Europe :)

Don’t worry Don-san, I’d send over one of my private jets to pick you up! And then of course send my private Airwolf Helicopter to pick you up from the airport to land on my Yacht Helipad.

We be living large!

' src=

I am with you buddy. I don’t get depressed when I look at wealth I get inspired! My buddies and I launch a boat off the north shore of Long Island. The houses are UNREAL, Here is an example of one of the houses we see everytime we go out:

https://www.blogcdn.com/www.luxist.com/media/2006/09/centreisland.jpg

It was Billy Joel’s not sure it still is

' src=

Being inspired is the proper feeling. Feeling jealous, lust, depressed, angry is not.

I only get inspired! Yes, the east coast houses are unreal indeed. Things are relatively cheap out there, but still obviously in the multi millions.

I’m always so pumped when I see these things. I don’t desire one myself, I just desire the ability to be able to live it up if I want to.

Woah….”relatively cheap” Dude you hate the east coast!

We can start with out of the 11 most expensive cities in American 5 are on the East Coast (and 2 are in New York)

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/13/the-11-most-expensive-cit_n_643909.html#s113273

Then we have the mansions of JP Morgan, Vanderbilt, etc in Newport Rhode Island

https://www.newportmansions.org/page7016.cfm

Then we have my home island – The Hamptons!

You are killing me Sam

Alright, alright, alright, I’m just “taking the piss” as the English would say. The mansions on the East Coast are CRAZY!!! Love the old money places. They are just so incredible.

I mean, if I had all that money, I too would have to build something so large, with selfcontained AC if I was stuck on the East Coast! :P

' src=

Ironically, my post tomorrow is about the owning an island.

If I were mega-rich, I don’t think I would own an island or a yacht. I would have a huge house on the ocean, although not sure which coast. I too would probably own multiple properties.

I don’t know. I think I would donate a lot of it. It is hard to even envision having that amount of money. I am sure travel would take up a lot of my time.

Cool! Well, I’ll cruise on over to your private island with my mega yacht! Hope you don’t charge a docking fee, since we’re in the same network and all.

Is that your house Sam?

I love that area of SF you must have great taste like me. :-) I would buy that house. I have an idea where that house is located, but can’t find it on google maps. What’s the cross streets?

Maybe…… as that portion of the house to the left is a tennis court. And since maybe it is my house as I type on the top balcony overlooking the bay, I can’t give out the exact address since I might invite some stalkers hanging out in the trees! :)

Speaking of expensive houses…

Here is one I would NOT want to own:

https://blogs.wsj.com/wealth/2010/08/23/40-million-mansion-sells-for-76-million/

https://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2010/08/21/us/20100822-house.html?ref=us

Has to be one of the ugliest mansions I’ve ever seen.

The pool was awesome in the second link! Sign me up!

' src=

I am in great awe now. Look at what money can buy!

' src=

yeah right, after visiting miami florida i have become a big lover of yacht’s … money can buy anything in this world except life. wish i could buy one. uff those are all rich people business.

See Mark Zuckerberg’s glossy new $300M, 287-foot superyacht ‘Launchpad’

All aboard S.S. Facebook.

Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly gifted himself a $300 million megayacht, dubbed “Launchpad,” ahead of his 40th birthday.

The staggering 387-foot-long vessel was seen floating at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., after arriving at its berth earlier this week, The Sun reported Thursday.

The multi-layered luxury ship’s sleek exterior was designed by Espen Øino International and boasts a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, according to SuperYacht Times.

Reportedly ranking as the 45th largest yacht in the world, the interiors are just as aesthetically pleasing and reportedly executed by Zuretti Interior Design company, a France-based company specializing in unique and custom yacht design.

The breathtakingly beautiful floater stands out with a navy blue theme matching an American flag perched proudly on its wood-paneled stern.

There are several outdoor areas where the social media maven will be able to relax with his family and the indoor levels feature glass paneling allowing for tons of natural light.

There also appears to be a helipad perfect for whenever the Facebook co-founder wants to travel to his vessel by air.

The Feadship-built yacht, built in 2022, can comfortably fit 24 guests aboard, requires a crew of 48, and is said to cost $30 million a year for upkeep and usage, according to Superyachtfan.com .

Boatworld insiders have been buzzing with speculation that Zuckerberg is the owner of the newly minted mega-cruise ever since it made its main voyage from the Netherlands last week.

The tech titan was spotted touring the Russian-commissioned megayacht in early March, though the impressive boat didn’t arrive stateside until this week due to sanctions, according to The Sun.

The website reported that Zuckerberg purchased the pricey yacht – along with its own $30 million partner boat — most likely as an early 40th birthday present to himself.

The boat reportedly traveled to Florida after being granted special permission to be imported just weeks ahead of Zuckerberg’s birthday on May 14.

Zuckerberg’s yacht is just 30 feet shorter than the length of fellow billionaire Jeff Bezos’ 417-foot megayacht Koru, which the Amazon boss snagged for a whopping $500 million.

Zuckerberg’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Tom Brady Hits Drone Off Top Deck of MrBeast’s $300 Million Yacht

MrBeast Tom Brady yacht

Some of the biggest boaters in the biz are making headlines again.

We've long followed the boating journey of NFL great Tom Brady , who signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020 and immediately picked himself up a sweet ride -- a Dutch-built Wajer 55 .

Tom apparently dove headlong into the #BoatLife , because he not only brought the boat to his own Super Bowl parade , he quickly came down with 'footitus' and upgraded to a Wajer 77 .

If you're unfamiliar with the burgeoning Dutch brand, Wajer yachts are about the sleekest thing on the water. They're not cheap, either. Price isn't a huge detractor for Brady, who signed a $50 million contract with Bucs when he first moved to Florida, but you're not gonna see many Wajers down at your local launch ramp.

Then there's MrBeast , beloved YouTuber and millenial influencer. MrBeast, real name James Donaldson, had modest beginnings to his boating career -- most notably hosting a hysterical competition with his pals to give away a 1985 Bayliner Ciera . Hey, we all start somewhere.

But the Beast has also come down with footitus recently. It started last week with a video depicting him and his friends touring yachts ranging from $1 to $1 billion . Honestly, we had high hopes for the $1 yacht, it seemed like a bargain. Until it sank. But it also explains where Donaldson's footitus kicked into high gear -- because he turned up this week with Tom Brady aboard a $300 million superyacht.

During their hangout, MrBeast gave Brady a challenge.

“I want to see if you can hit my drone out of the sky with a football,” MrBeast challenged. No way a 7x Super Bowl champion is backing down from that.

“If I hit the drone on the first try, maybe I should come out of retirement,” Brady offers. We wouldn't say no, maybe it'll help him afford another boat.

Brady’s daughter Vivian, however, was not as optimistic about his father’s chances, and Brady agreed, saying “I probably will miss.”

Such humility. But it's like tossing to Gronk on a slant into the corner of the end zone. Brady isn't going to miss.

As you would expect, Brady drilled the drone from the aft deck with a perfect spiral on his first throw. He then hits one of MrBeasts friends on a PWC with a perfect long ball. It's not the first time he's tossed a ball from the back of a yacht. Classic Brady.

Come out of retirement, Tom.

Climate activists blast paint on walmart heiress’ $300 million yacht in ibiza.

A group of climate change activists trashed a $300 million superyacht owned by billionaire Walmart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie on the Spanish island of Ibiza by blasting it with paint.

The Futuro Vegetal group, which translates to Future Vegetable, said on Twitter that two members used fire extinguishers filled with red and black paint to deface the “Kaos” superyacht Sunday morning.

Futuro Vegetal also uploaded pictures of two members standing in front of the luxury yacht with signs that read “You Consume Others Suffer.”

“The only reason we continue to maintain an economic system that leads us to eco-social collapse is to sustain the privileges of this small privileged class,” the group said in a statement about the vandalism. “The mega-rich live off the suffering of others.”

The Spanish Civil Guard said two people were arrested at the docks this morning over the incident, local Periodico de Ibiza reports.

Members of the Futuro Vegetal group were seen posing with a sign in front of the vandalized boat belonging to Walmart billionaire heiress Nancy Walton Laurie.

Sources told the Spanish newspaper that the yacht was actually scheduled to leave Ibiza on Sunday, with the spraypainting taking place just as the crew was preparing to depart.

The Futuro Vegetal group said they specifically targeted Laurie’s yacht as she is one of the wealthiest women in the world, with Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index pinging her net worth at $7.77 billion.

300 000 dollar yacht

Laurie’s yacht made headlines in May with a series of features about the impressive 361-foot ship, which sports its own swimming pool, aquarium and helipad.

The superyacht also holds its own cinema, spa facilities, gym and even a small hospital for medical emergencies at sea.

The vandalism came following a call from the Extinction Rebellion Ibiza group, an activist organization demanding the ban of private jets and luxury yachts over emission concerns .

The yacht was targeted as part of a campaign targeting luxury ships and jets in Ibiza.

The group called on a campaign to specifically target such jets and yachts in Ibiza, with a private jet spray painted in a similar fashion by activists last week at Ibiza’s airport.

Futuro Vegetal said they were proud to have joined the campaign in Ibiza in order to raise awareness for their cause. The group touts itself as a civil disobedience and direct action group fighting against climate change .

The $300 million superyacht has its own swimming pool, aquarium, cinema and spa.

Representatives for Laurie did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Mark Zuckerberg’s $300million ‘birthday present’ mega yacht arrives in US – it even has its own $30m ‘wingman’ boat

  • Isabelle Hajek , Freelance News & Blogs Reporter

FACEBOOK founder Mark Zuckerberg has shown off his wealth at sea, bringing his multimillion-dollar yacht to the United States just weeks before his birthday.

After rumors the billionaire was looking to invest in a yacht began circulating, Zuckerberg was quick to snag a $300 million mega yacht complete with its own $30 million partner boat.

Mark Zuckerberg's $300 million mega yacht arrived in port just weeks before the billionaire's 40th birthday

He was seen in the Netherlands touring Project 1010, a Russian-commissioned mega yacht, in early March.

Due to sanctions involved in importing the vessel to the United States, delivery of Zuckerberg's multimillion-dollar boat was delayed.

It was first spotted in home waters on March 20.

The 387-foot-long vessel docked at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with its chrome finish reflecting a harsh sun.

Project 1010 made its maiden voyage from the Netherlands after receiving special permission to be imported just weeks ahead of Zuckerberg's birthday, which is on May 14, raising questions about whether it could be a gift to mark the occasion.

The mega vessel is not far off the size of Amazon mogul Jeff Bezos' $500 million 417-foot tall mega yacht, Koru, which was spotted in the same state in November 2023.

The Abeona, his mega yacht's support vessel, a 264-foot garage to hold Bezos' luxury cars, private helicopter, and jet skis, was docked at a slip four miles away.

To put into perspective the additional costs Zuckerberg is looking at, Bezos reportedly bankrolled a $16,500 per week bill for Koru to stay at the port, part of the $25 million in annual costs the ship will rack up.

But cost is no object to 39-year-old Zuckerberg, as he was the youngest billionaire to make the top 10 wealthiest people in the world list.

In 2021, Zuckerberg was reportedly worth $108 billion, an amount that rose to $138.4 billion by January 2024.

Zuckerberg is hardly known for conserving his money when faced with large purchases.

In December 2021, it was reported that Zuckerberg was breaking ground on an estimated $270 million, 57,000-square-foot Doomsday bunker.

Plans for the structure include filling the football field-sized space with 30 bedrooms, elevators, a swimming pool, sauna, tennis court, and full-sized gym.

EARNING $48,328 - MINUTE BY MINUTE

While a $330 million purchase might sound outlandish to most, especially when coupled with a $270 million bunker, Zuckerberg can make that money back in about two months.

The Meta, formerly Facebook, founder reportedly makes between $6 million and $12 million each day, equating to an estimated yearly earning of more than $3 billion.

In 2018, Zuckerberg earned roughly $1.7 million an hour, according to previous Business Insider calculations.

By 2020, he ranked as the fourth richest person on the planet.

Endorsements | keeping up with the bezoses: mark zuckerberg buys a super yacht, reports say, a report says that zuckerberg’s luxurious new $300 million vessel was originally was commissioned by a russian oligarch who was the target of sanctions imposed after that country’s invasion of ukraine.

300 000 dollar yacht

Given that Mark Zuckerberg enjoys a respectable 16th place on a list of the world’s richest people, he probably figured it was time for him to acquire one of the ultimate status symbols for the mega-wealthy — a super yacht.

A new report from The Sun said that Zuckerberg is now the proud owner of a $300 million vessel that he has christened “Launchpad.” The 387-foot-long vessel, which comes with a helipad and a $30 million companion boat, was seen docked this week at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with its unique chrome finish reflecting in the sun.

This purchase shows, among other things, that the Facebook and Meta founder and CEO has branched out from buying islands and building an underground complex to help him survive the apocalypse. Perhaps, he wants to cruise the Mediterranean this summer and be among the moguls who can play host to Leonardo DiCaprio.

The yacht definitely grants him admission to the watery playgrounds of such multibillionaires as Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, Bill Gates and any of the Russian oligarchs who haven’t been the target of sanctions imposed by the United States or its allies over Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

In fact, Zuckerberg reportedly came by Launchpad due to the misfortunes of one of those oligarchs. The yacht originally was commissioned to be built by Vladimir Potanin, one of Russia’s richest men who is on multiple sanctions list, according to a report by Autoevolution.com , a transportation industry site. The yacht was known as Project 1010, and the shipbuilder in the Netherlands was legally barred from delivering it to Potanin when it was completed in 2022, though Autoevolution also said that Potanin was not the yacht’s actual owner.

The Sun reported that the yacht recently received “special permission” to be imported. It has since arrived in the United States, a couple months ahead of Zuckerberg’s 40th birthday on May 14 — which raises the question of whether he meant Launchpad as a birthday gift to himself.

It’s quite a gift: Launchpad can comfortably fit 24 guests aboard. It also requires a crew of 48 and is said to cost $30 million a year for upkeep and usage, according to Superyachtfan.com . But shelling out $30 million for maintenance a year shouldn’t be a problem for Zuckerberg, who reportedly earns between $6 million and $12 million a day, The Sun said.

But as spectacular as Launchpad sounds, super yacht fans might say it’s not as spectacular as Jeff Bezos’s super yacht, Koru. The $500 million sailing vessel features very tall masts, a swimming pool, a helipad and room for a second, smaller yacht. The most noteworthy thing about Koru is that Bezos commissioned a special sculpture to decorate its prow. It’s a “curvaceous winged goddess” that is said to bear a striking resemblance to his fiancee Lauren Sanchez.

The Amazon founder, his wife-to-be and the goddess figurehead spent much of last summer sailing around the Mediterranean, cruising from Spain to Croatia and hosting such famous guests as Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and Usher. The couple also threw a lavish engagement party off the coast of Positano on Italy’s Amalfi coast, attended by another pack of famous friends, including Kris Jenner, Wendi Murdoch and, yes, Leonardo DiCaprio.

The owner of a $3.4 million Lamborghini yacht screamed 'I will kill you' and threw $100 bills into the water when told he couldn't use a private dock

  • The owner of a Lamborghini yacht threatened a private dock employee, per CBS8.
  • The employee said Ajay Thakore mooned and threw cash at him after being told he couldn't use the dock.
  • Thakore, the CEO of Doctor Multimedia, issued an apology through his public relations team.

Insider Today

The owner of a $3.4 million Lamborghini yacht threatened a private dock employee after being told he couldn't be there, the San Diego-based broadcaster CBS8 reported on March 11.

Joseph Holt, a 21-year-old employee at Marriot Marina in San Diego, told CBS8 that he spotted the yacht sailing into the private dock. The owner, whom CBS8 identified as Ajay Thakore, tried to pick another person up at the dock, Holt said.

"I told him respectfully that he couldn't be there, and I honestly was hoping to have a conversation with him about his cool boat," Holt told CBS8.

In a YouTube video posted by @SM-wc9eq on March 10, a dark blue Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is seen sailing out of a dock. A man in a gray T-shirt, a pair of jeans, and a cap was shown standing on the yacht. The man appeared to be Thakore, per CBS8.

Thakore was shown shouting at Holt. "I will kill you, you know I will kill you!" he can be heard saying multiple times in the video

Thakore was later shown pounding his fist on his palm and pointing his thumb down before telling Holt: "To your face!" Holt was shown responding by pointing his middle finger at Thakore.

"I really was trying to restrain myself from getting fired from my job or stepping out of line. The only thing I did was give him the bird," Holt told CBS8.

Holt said Thakore then took $100 bills from his wallet and threw them at him. He added that Thakore mooned him. This exchange was not shown in the video.

"He was saying I'm nobody, I'm nothing, I work a silly job. He said that he knows people, he has connections, he can change my life and ruin it," Holt said. Holt did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.

The San Diego Harbor Police arrived at the marina 10 minutes after Thakore's yacht exited the dock, per CBS8.

The Harbor Police told Business Insider that Holt decided to press charges against Thakore and that they are investigating the incident.

According to Thakore's LinkedIn page , he's the CEO of Doctor Multimedia. The company's website shows that it's a healthcare marketing firm based in San Diego. Thakore appears to go by the name Ace Rogers on Instagram and TikTok, where he's noted as being a professional gambler.

Thakore, through his public relations team, told CBS8 in a statement that his altercation with Holt was "regrettable."

"What started as a minor misunderstanding escalated into an argument, and I apologize for my actions and to those who witnessed the unfortunate exchange," the statement said. Thakore did not immediately respond to a request for comment from BI.

Thakore isn't the only CEO who's been called out for threatening another person. In November 2021, an Activision spokesperson told BI that its ex-CEO Bobby Kotick had previously apologized for telling his assistant he would have her killed. The spokesperson added that Kotick's threat was "obviously hyperbolic and inappropriate" and that "he deeply regrets the exaggeration and tone."

In June 2020, Lisa Alexander, the CEO of LaFace Skincare, a cosmetics company, apologized in a statement to the media after she had threatened to call the police on her neighbor for writing "Black Lives Matter" on his property. Alexander said in the apology that she was "disrespectful" and "should have minded my own business."
