Rooms large enough, well-decorated, electronic fireplace and very pleasant garden space for each room, overlooking marina and river. Good basic breakfast and a chill pool on a barge by the marina. Tesla destination charging also a plus.Short walk to Dock square and lots of shops, restaurants.

Breakfast was just enough variety and the location was spectacular. Could easily walk to the center of town.

Nice room with a nice view. Just a few mins walk to the town. The whole contactless approach is a nice touch with digital key and messaging system. Loved the free snack surprises in the morning. You can park the car right outside the room. Check in/check out is easy and seamless without any need to interact with anyone. Even with no interaction they made sure to keep in constant touch with the phone messaging. So anything we need is just a text message away.

We planned to stay for three days but we’re able to snag an extra night and enjoyed every minute of the charming room. Loved the outside table and chairs so close to the river. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat, this is the place. #7

The location is fantastic, sitting on your Adirondack chair by the water with a coffee in the morning is such a great way to start your day. The room is spacious, cosy and comfortable, and the place is very quiet. Exceeds expectations, and good value for money. Have just finished a New England road trip and this place was one of the the best spots. Also very friendly manager. Thanks

LOVED the decor of the room. Awesome. Beautiful bathroom. Housekeeping staff were exceptional--very friendly and helpful. I didn't realize that the hotel is actually like an old-fashioned drive-up motel. We liked that vibe, actually, and loved our river-front chairs, sliding glass doors to the lawn, etc. So that part was great, and I would say exceeded our expectations. Loved the quick drive down to the ocean...lovely views down there, loved seeing where the Bush family entertained heads of state.

We loved the atmosphere, the setting and the friendly vibes! We are planning our next visit!

We had a fabulous stay at this newly renovated, petite but perfect Inn! Nestled on the water just a short 5 minute bike ride from downtown Kennebunkport, we enjoyed the scenic views from our grassy patio, delighted in the fresh scones that were left on our door in the morning, and truly were amazed at what a gem we discovered @ the Yachtsman Inn!

Very stylish and comfortable with easy access to town and restaurants as well as gorgeous walks on the water.

Awesome hotel in a great little slice of heaven. Great room, well furnished, very quiet. The right distance from downtown Kennebunkport and and from walking up around the point. Assigned parking, loaner bikes, Drew up front is super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back.

A great hotel! Clean, personal outside seating/ views. Staff could not be more friendly/ helpful- 5 star hotel class staff! Absolutely will return when in the area. I guess this is what one considers ' a hidden gem'.

I will do my best to give a long and detailed review. I gave this "hotel" a three for several reasons. Something to note.....I realize we were in Kennebunkport during high season but this place is well-marketed and, therefore, overpriced (for what you get). Going into this I knew this was a motel that was renovated and meant to appear boutique but I want the owners of this establishment to know that they have a long way to go if they are looking to provide an upscale feel. For $650 a night this place felt like a bit of a rip off. First, the room was nicely decorated and clean but had a weird smell. We travel the east coast and, trust me, it was not that good kind of ocean musty smell but rather it kind of smelled like old garbage. Bed was super comfy and bathroom was small but everything was clean. The view in the back was nice and the patio was nice but the sliding door screen was falling off and the patio is just cement slab and very small. They need to make this area nicer with some pavers or something. We stayed at the end that is closer to the marina and I noticed that the rooms on the opposite end have a nicer lawn area so, if you decide to stay here, try to get a room that is to the right of the entrance and bar area (further from the marina) as I think it would feel nicer when sitting outside. The pool is a bit of a joke. It is basically one of those party boats (pontoon) with a pool in it....actually I think it might even be smaller than a pontoon boat. The bean bag chairs are wet on the bottom and, therefore hard to move, and most of them are losing their stuffing and in bad shape overall. And although the pool was refreshing and serene, it once again felt like this is just something for them to say they have a pool....not like it is a real amenity. Plus it is on the dock that is locked and so the attendant has to let you in with a code every time you want to go on it (she won't give you the code I guess because GWB's boat is docked there?) The attendant (Mayhe...not sure that is spelled correctly) is wonderful and very helpful but does everything all by herself. Just another way to make a lot of money as this "hotel" is mostly self serve. She told me one day that she doesn't eat lunch until like 3:00 on some days! Don't expect scones on your doorstep in the morning as you hear in some of the other reviews. The breakfast is stale bagels, sugary kids cereals, blah coffee, and warm yogurt provided in the room located adjacent to the bar patio area. Really, we just used this as a place to grab a quick coffee to get us going until we could find real coffee and food. The bar patio area is nice but has zero atmosphere. They could use some staff, some good music, some plants/flowers......I dunno.....something to make this a place I even want to sit down for a minute. The complementary bikes and kayaks were nice and we used them. Overall, just know what you're getting into with this place. I think if you search harder, you will find nicer places for this kind of money. Location is about the only thing I can say was amazing about this place as it is within a 5 minute walk of everything and the view of the boats in the marina is nice. But I think the KRC gang has some work to do on this place in order to make it feel worth the money they are charging.

Was cute and clean. We had a nice time here and the service during COVID times was appropriate. We can handle keeping things in order, and making the bed ourselves so lack of housekeeping didn't bother us. They had a memo system where you just checked off needed items and hung on the door. The guy that came around was nice and helpful. We enjoyed the coffee at the bar, and the bikes to get around town. The texting communication was ok. There was one time where we had an issue with the app not working and took a bit longer to let ourselves in. They did not respond in this case. Overall was ok, but it would be nice to have a face at the front that can help feel more welcome, rather than all virtual servicing. Beautiful room.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a weekend getaway and we couldn't have had a more perfect stay! All the staff was so so friendly and the hotel was beautiful! We stayed in a room right next to the lobby which turned out to be very convenient because we could run back to our room whenever we needed. The coffee in the morning was my favorite, we looked for it online before we left. Casey the bellman/hotel concierge was so nice! He gave us a great recommendation for dinner and had no problem taking pictures of my boyfriend and I. Terry checked us in and even though our room wasn't ready when we got there - she texted us as soon as it was ready! The rooms are decorated so cute! The beds were big and comfy. And the showers were perfect. The hotel was within about a 5 minute walk of the downtown shopping & restaurants. We can't wait to go back!

Mixed feelings about this place. Amazing and unique location - if you are a boater, you will love sitting outside your room and watching the action. The renovated rooms are great - wonderfully done and a fun vibe. The cons: After staying at a number of days in two B&B's with really helpful hosts....the staff just felt a little impersonal. Breakfast is a bag of goodies left on your door - one day homemade and quite good; another day a commercial product. Not a deal breaker at all and plenty of places to go eat. While there is a bar, there is not an experienced bartender. If I were to come to Kennebunkport again, I'd strongly consider staying here again. Close enuf to walk to dining and shopping, yet far enuf away to be quiet at night. Really unique spot.

I spent four days here and the experience was great. Every room is facing the marina in a straight line; the only difference is how far you are from the lobby and dining area. Each room also has a reserved parking spot in front of the respective rooms. The rooms themselves are very nicely furnished and have modern amenities. You also have seating outside your room to take in the morning and enjoy a cup of tea. The employees were really nice from the first day to the last and they were always eager to provide recommendations of where to go and what to do. I can't speak too much about the food. They offer whoopie pies and other small pastries in the mornings, along with coffee, tea and water, but you have to pay extra for other dishes. I did not eat a meal here but the eating area is also in front of the marina outdoors so it's a nice, relaxing view. I would recommend the Yachtsman if you're in town. It's a 5-6 minute walk into the heart of town and maybe a 5 minute drive from the Bush compound. I do caution that, due to its location right on the marina, you'll have a fair bit of people on their kayaks, boats, etc so if privacy is very important to you, its something to keep in mind.

Whilst tied up, enjoy complimentary Continental Breakfast, Afternoon tea, coffee and Evening Snacks. Other amenities included during your stay is Ice, Marina Grill to BBQ that steak or fish filet you just caught, WIFI, Canoe rentals as well as Bicycle rentals, and as always freshen up on dry land with free use of our Yachtsman Marina bathrooms & showers.Seasonal and vessel dockage is offered from May 15th - October 31st each year. Our marina is very popular so we advise you to make a reservation well in advance. For more information or to make a dockage reservation you can enquire online, call us on 207-967-2511 or email us at [email protected] experienced dock hands are there to assist you, both in and out of the marina if you wish all with a warm and welcoming smile. The Yachtsman Marina is just a short stroll to Dock Square and the heart of the Kennebunkport.

Schooner Eleanor Sailing Tours

When you stay at the Yachtsman Hotel & Marina Club, you’ll be perpetually reminded that the “action” in our port town happens on the water. Don’t miss out! The traditional gaff rigged schooner Eleanor has been part of our coastal town’s fabric since Captain Rich Woodman built and launched this majestic vessel in May of 1999. He’ll be your guide on a scenic, two-hour sailing trip. Kick back and relax or help set the sails, as the wind’s whims determine your course out on the open Atlantic. Daily departures are available late May through early October.
