History of Solaris

Established in 1974, Solaris Yachts, a world-renowned boat manufacturer, began operations in Aquileia, an historical town of the Roman Empire, in the North East of Italy. Sergio Lombardi, the founder, envisioned the company to be a vanguard in building ocean-going yachts designed to handle serious offshore sailing in supreme comfort and safety. Guided by courage, competence, commitment and an unyielding desire for excellence, Lombardi steered the firm into the limelight of international boat building.

Technora Kevlar sails from Millenium, Code Zero and Pink Gennaker. She combines perfect performance and cruising in her most elegant way and she is still very easy to sail short-handed. A privately owned yacht, Swiss flagged, ready for the new season with all equipment included. Viewing and test sailing to appointment only in Switzerland. A yacht for the modern age, it has clean decks, flush hatches, concealed halyards and outboard chainplates. Designed by Javier Soto Acebal, the 37’ is a fast performance cruiser; the lightweight hull is stable, but this light weight does not compromise its strength, durability, or stiffness. Every part of the boat is designed to take high loads; this is achieved by meticulously detailed construction materials and methods.

The cored hulls are vacuum-infused, main bulkheads are of composite construction, and every bulkhead is laminated to both hull and deck. A dry boat in rough winds and heavy seas, the hull lines and the shape of the keel ensure stiffness. Designed for a crew of two, the Solaris 37’ is the perfect boat for those sailors who know that construction quality and seaworthiness do not have to be sacrificed for elite performance characteristics.

Interior – Offering the same level of comfort as a 45’ yacht, the Solaris 37’ interior has options for either a two or a three cabin layout. The centrally-located owner’s cabin has an island berth, and both options have a separate shower room. Clients can select either one or two guest cabins aft; the one guest cabin option allows for greater aft storage space and a larger shower room. Both options allow for unrivaled sail locker space for a boat of this class.

The saloon and galley area are designed with the customary Solaris style and flair. The saloon seats six, as well as providing a well-designed navstation area. The galley is fully equipped with oven, burners and fridge. Fixtures, fittings and finish are all of the highest quality, with Oak as standard and other custom options available. The interior is sleek and beautiful, but perfectly functioning and totally seaworthy; under the polished surface lies real structural strength, and the yacht’s interior is as durable and practical as the high-tech exterior.
