As you board the Sea Ray 390, you'll step onto a large swim platform with a molded staircase taking you up to the aft deck and a sturdy stainless steel ladder for easy access to and from the water. This area also serves as the ideal location for launching and retrieving the 2023 Highfield tender, adding to the boat's versatility and functionality. Once aboard, you'll find yourself on a spacious aft deck with plenty of seating for lounging and entertaining.

As you enter the salon of the 2005 Sea Ray 390 Motor Yacht through a solid cabin door and down a few steps, you'll be greeted by a spacious and bright open interior. The stunning wood trim and cabinets, along with the plush seating and beautiful fabrics, create a luxurious atmosphere that is complemented by the natural light and panoramic views from the large windows.

Continuing forward and a few steps down, you'll find a fully equipped galley that is just as beautiful as the salon. The galley boasts plenty of natural lighting and storage, as well as a beautiful rich hardwood floor. The gas-assist struts make it easy to lift the steps and access the washer/dryer combo conveniently located right there.

Going back towards the stern of the boat, stairs will lead you down to the aft primary stateroom. This arrangement provides you with lots of privacy between the two staterooms. The master stateroom offers a centerline island queen berth, plenty of storage, and an en suite head and separate shower.  

Back on deck, you'll find a helm station to starboard with a bench seat for the captain to reach all the necessary instrumentation for navigation. The helm deck also features ample seating for guests, as well as a wet bar with a sink and refrigerator.

From the helm deck, you can access the bow via wide side decks with high rails for safety. The bow area features plenty of space for lounging and soaking up the sun.

The Sea Ray 390 Motor Yacht represents one of the most versatile layouts of any production model in this size range.  The expansive interior volume features two staterooms on opposite ends of the boat, allowing for maximum privacy for both owners and guests.

Entry to the Aft Deck is made via the transom swim platform up a few steps or through the port and starboard doors.  This area will amaze you as you are provided a full 360 degree panorama of the surrounding landscape...in full air conditioned comfort.  There is plenty of seating for you and your guests and entertainment is made easy by the wet bar complete with sink, storage and refrigerator.  Weather too good outside to miss?  Simply roll up the aft canvas and isenglass enclosure or just open the port and starboard doors to get a rush of fresh air.  Do not worry about storage here, there is plenty underneath the seats.

Moving forward to the helm area, you are provided and commanding view, comfortable adjustable helm chair, and full electronics at your disposal. The fully enclosed windshield is truly unique in a vessel of this type, it was rare in this vintage but now the industry standard.  It provides less maintenance and clearer visibility, but it will never feel stuffy thanks to the A/C and 3 openings to provide plenty of fresh air if desired.

Going into the main cabin, the Salon is a socially warming area with large comfortable facing sofas surrounded by rich cherry wood appointments and a convertible dinette/coffee table.  Feel free to spread out and relax with a cold drink, there is plenty of space to do so.  The entertainment center with flat screen TV will keep you occupied after those long days on the water.  The Starboard sofa even pulls out to convert to a berth should you have more guests aboard.

The full beam master stateroom located in the aft end of the vessel offers a full double berth with separate shower and head compartments with the vanity in the middle.  This master is very large for a vessel this size and makes extended stays on the boat easy and accommodating.  There is also plenty of storage, from dual cedar lined closets to multiple drawers to a large storage area underneath the bed.  A little mentioned but very important feature here are the independent A/C controls that allow you to stay comfortable in your private domain.

The unique forward VIP stateroom by day provides ample floor space and storage for guests to change from swim suits to social attire with ease.  By night, the port single berth becomes a lounge chair and the starboard single converts to a double berth, allowing you to have a versatile platform for housing guests.  She also features and independent A/C control so your guests will feel comfortable and at home.  There is a full size double entry head with separate shower for your guests comfort as well.

In summary, this is one amazing vessel that packs the features of a much larger yacht into a manageable size.  You will feel right at home staying aboard in total comfort, why compromise when you can have it all!

Accomodations & Layout

The 390 is large on space with two staterooms and large salon. From the deck, one enters the bright and roomy salon with settees situated to both port and starboard. A cherry high-low dinette table is located to starboard along with the settee. Moving forward, the galley is located to starboard and includes everything needed to prepare meals for owners and guests. Continuing forward, the second stateroom is large enough to be considered a master suite. The forward VIP stateroom has innovative accommodations with a v-berth that slides and adjusts to a full-sized berth to starboard. The forward head is located to port of the galley and can be accessed from forward stateroom or companionway port of galley. The master suite is located aft of the salon and is accessed to port of the companionway from the deck. The master suite has all of the comforts of home and includes a large shower and head separated by a vanity. The queen berth is situated along the center line and faces forward. Storage space is plentiful throughout the 390 Motor Yacht. Thoughtful use of space placed the washer/dryer below the step to the galley. 

The salon of the 390MY is a bright & expansive room with huge windows to port and starboard and a large skylight/window forward. Arranged with long settees on both sides the salon makes a great space for entertaining guests. The bright atmosphere is complemented by a rich cherry wood interior and warm ultra-leather upholstery. The Master Suite is aft and down 3 steps from the salon. The Queen berth is a center line island with a huge storage area beneath the gas shock assisted mattress platform. The designers from Sea Ray have thought to put the controls for the Master Suites air conditioning/heat system as well as light switches at fingertip reach from the pillows. No fumbling around in the dark or getting back up to turn up the air or turn off the lights.

The Upper Deck on the 390MY is easily reached from three access points. The wide boarding platform aft with an Integrated Staircase as well as Port & Starboard safety rail gates leading to Heavy Duty Wing Doors.. The upper deck of the 390MY is a combination of the best parts of a pilothouse style helm and the aft deck of a traditional Aft Cabin.

This boat has the unique feature of a single level upper deck with the helm station and the aft deck seating all being on one level. No steps up to the bridge and definitely no yelling to try to communicate. Your family and guests can carry on a quiet conversation and travel easily from seats to helm on this boat all while staying cool or warm & dry in the comfort of the climate controlled Upper Deck.

2004 Sea Ray 39 MOTOR YACHT The 390 Motor Yacht is intended more for cruising comfort than sporty performance. Still, it provides enough oomph to run inlets with confidence. Turn the key and shift into gear. The boat rises to plane without exceeding five degrees of inclination. Of course, from the height of this helm, you're not likely to lose visibility over the bow (although we've tested some boats that pushed the inclinometer's bubble to eight!). Five degrees is the boat's natural running angle-without tabs-at cruising speed. You'll top 30 mph with the levers pinned to the helm. The twin 370-hp MerCruiser 8.1S Horizon engines provide enough punch so that you accelerate with authority-although you'll never "jump." Minimum plane, achieved with trim tabs fully deployed, occurs at 15 mph. Get caught in a blow, and you won't have to bang your way back to the dock to stay in control. Loop around, parallel your wake, and come to a stop. Laying beam-to, our own wake revealed that the 390 Motor Yacht rolls without undue snap. Best economy? I found it at 3500 rpm, where speed is 21.8 mph and the boat burns 34.4 gph for a range of 171 miles.

Walk through.

As you approach Archimedes II from the stern you will find fiberglass molded stairs that lead up to the climate controlled aft deck. Unlike other aft cabin boats the helm aft deck and side decks are all on one level. There are glass doors that lead out each side of the aft deck to the bow. On the aft deck is a wet bar and fridge. The helm is equipped with autopilot, radar, and a Raymarine chart plotter. She even has Cummins cruise control, a hard top, and real windshield.

To the left of the helm you will find the companionway leading down a few stairs into the salon. The salon has 2 couches flanking either side. The starboard couch pulls out to give a little more space for a guest to sleep. The access to the engine room is found in the salon floor as well. The galley is located forward of the salon on the starboard side. She has a freezer over the fridge configuration, a electric. cooktop, convection microwave oven, and a single sink. Under the stairs between the salon and galley you will find a washer/dryer combo unit.

Continuing forward you find the day head, that is shared with the forward cabin, located on the port side. The forward cabin has a V berth configuration. However, the starboard bunk will pull out to a double berth enabling this cabin to sleep 3 guests.

As you pass back through the salon towards the aft you will find the entrance to the master on the port side of the boat. The master boasts a walk around queen size berth and plenty of storage with an en suite head and shower.
