“We are extremely satisfied with the cooperation with your company so far. From fast - but above all precise, targeted and extensive answers to all our inquiries to the excellent service that our guests received after boarding your boat!”
“It has been an absolute pleasure doing business with you personally and Barbara Cruising as a company. Particularly our charter with the Cahill’s has been demanding at times but it has been a huge success, thank to you and your team. They could not have been happier.”
“Amazing ship and crew. The itinerary is awesome, great food, beautiful scenery and you feel as staying at home. Both Barbara and Casablanca are an experience that nobody should miss. Our groups comeback always very happy and well surprised with all the attentions that they received on board. Probably one of the best sea voyages in Europe!! ”
“We cruised with Barbara Cruising aboard the Casablanca in August 2022. The Casablanca is the most wonderful motor yacht, built in the classical style. The Captain and crew were charming and efficient; nothing was too much trouble to make our cruise utterly memorable. Comfort and cleanliness were immaculate and the organisation of our trip impeccable. ”
“We chartered Casablanca on behalf of a client celebrating his 80th birthday so that there were a wide mix of ages on board and an equally diverse level of demands and tastes. The Captain and crew of Casablanca did not disappoint and the client was delighted with the efforts made to satisfy all the guests and to make a memorable birthday charter. I would not hesitate to recommend both the yacht and Barbara cruising and really appreciate the smoothness and professionalism with which they handled this trip. ”
“Wow, what an amazing trip we had. We were 33 good friends wanting to go on a holiday together and we spent a week on Barbara along the Croatian coast. It was simply amazing! We loved every second of it. Then we sailed for a while before we stopped for swimming. After spending some time in a bay it was time for a 3-course lunch. ”
“The boat was beautiful, the food was supergood, the staff were friendly and very serviceminded. We would love to do it again some time. ”
“We boarded Barbara for the second time in the summer of 2018. The feeling we had was like going back to visit your old fiends. The crew cannot be nicer and more accommodating, the boat clean and well kept and the ports of call more beautiful and inviting.”
“It was a group of 20 of us from Europe, Canada and the USA. We had vegan, vegetarians and gluten free friends on Barbara. They were all happy with their meals. We are looking forward for another wonderful trip in the near future!”
“We are a group of Romanians traveling since 11 years with Barbara Cruising every summer. Casablanca is one of the best experience we ever had. The ship is well structured, beautifull design and cozy spacious rooms. The owners, Trgo family are the best organizers and we felt during our cruise like family. The staff is the very nice. The food delicious. I can only recomad crusing in style with Casablanca and I can’t wait for our summerholiday.”
“In July 2017 we chartered the Casablanca for family and friends to celebrate the marriage of our daughter.bAnte the Captain, and his crew made the trip for us and our guests memorable. They accommodated us with all our requests and went over and above to ensure that the week on the boat would be one we would never forget. ”
“Our family has undertaken numerous sailing trips on other boats and we can honestly say that the Casablanca is the best boat we have sailed in the Adriatic. The accommodations are extremely comfortable and they provide those little extras like massages which most other sail boats don't offer. When you board the boat, you become part of the "Casablanca family". We visit Croatia every year and in 2018 while we were sailing a private yacht, we docked in a beautiful bay alongside the Casablanca.”
“When we saw Ante, we waved and the next thing we knew he was swimming towards us with a bottle of wine to say hello. That's the type of friendship you establish with the Casablanca crew. They are wonderful people and I can highly recommend this boat. You will want to keep going back and sailing with them. ”
“En agosto del 2017 estuvimos en el barco Casablanca con nuestros hijos.En total 40 personas. Fue un viaje fantástico. Todo perfecto. Los camarotes fantásticos. La comida buenísima. Y la tripulación encantadora. Estamos deseando volver con ellos. Viaje inolvidable”
“This year will be my 3rd consultive year cruising with Barbra cruising. The captain and his crew are friendly and go out of their way to ensure each guest has an relaxed and enjoyable holiday. All the crew go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable, so learning how you like your cuppaccino to what wine you like to have with lunch.”
“All of our family and friends who travelled on Casablanca with us last week should now be home having enjoyed a wonderful holiday on Casablanca during the cruise from Trogir to Dubrovnik. I would be grateful if you could pass on our thanks again to your husband and all the onboard team who made the trip one of the great memories which our family and friends will remember forever.”

Imagine yourself reclining under a deep azure sky, as the polished teak deck moves almost imperceptibly with the rhythm of the Mediterranean and a refreshing evening breeze ruffles the air. In the small, picturesque ports on the Dalmatian coast, surrounded by low cliffs, where the cruise liners boasting ever-larger passenger numbers are conspicuous by their absence, you are cruising the Mediterranean aboard your very own yacht-cruiser. Normally the preserve of the wealthy, you can now experience a magnificent vessel carrying fewer than 40 guests.

Smaller numbers mean a more personal service on board, whilst the dimensions of our vessels allow easy access to stunningly attractive out-of-the-way ports like Split, Makarska and Hvar, which offer a much more intimate onshore experience. Our ships often sail between the islands and the shore, affording spectacular views that will stay with you for a lifetime.

With so few fellow travelers, an exclusive atmosphere soon prevails as you gather in the convivial surroundings of the bar or up on the sun deck for a nightcap. The friendly, attentive yet unobtrusive staff attend to your every need as if you owned the vessel – that’s how relaxed it is on this unique type of cruise.

Enjoy spectacular coastal views whilst reclining on a sun lounger or hammock on the ample sun deck. Below you will find the Salon Deck with the elegant restaurant and bar, beautifully furnished and fully air-conditioned for your comfort. Each day begins with an excellent breakfast on board with a selection of hot and cold options. Depending on which itinerary you choose, on certain days lunch or dinner is prepared on board, specialising in mouth-watering local menus, hot meat or fish dishes through to freshly prepared salads, all delivered with a beaming smile. No cruise is complete without the Captain’s Dinner, of course, and you will enjoy a delicious selection of the best of Croatian and Mediterranean cuisine. There’s no seating plan; you choose your own table and dining companions. On certain days you will be free to enjoy lunch or dinner at leisure, giving you the opportunity to sample some of the delightful local restaurants ashore.

Every evening, the ships remain moored so you can take an after-dinner stroll off the vessel, exploring these typically unspoilt ports. After just a few days of this extraordinary experience, you will be on first-name terms with the ship’s company and most of your fellow guests. There is little formality – shorts and t-shirts are the order of the day. This is exactly how vacations should be.

EMBARK IN DUBROVNIK

Embark on the MV Corona. The captain and crew will welcome you aboard and help you settle into your comfortable, well-equipped cabin. For the rest of the day it’s time to relax and get to know your fellow passengers – there are just thirty-eight of you in total! Perhaps you’ll catch some ‘rays’ on the Sun deck or take a stroll ashore. It’ll soon be time for dinner and the ship’s restaurant awaits. After dinner, why not take a stroll around Dubrovnik, or enjoy a digestif in a local bar?

Dubrovnik - Split - Dubrovnik route map

DUBROVNIK, THE ELAPHITE ISLANDS & MLJET

As you rise refreshed in the morning and enjoy a leisurely breakfast, you’ll be so glad you chose this holiday. The MV Corona, our home for the next week and every inch the private yacht, slips out of the harbour and out to sea. Dubrovnik soon fades into the distance – but we will be back for a more in-depth visit later. It is impossible for large cruise liners to visit the charming and almost deserted hamlets accessible to the MV Corona.

We arrive at Mljet, one of the most seductive of such islands, where the hillsides are clad in a green carpet of lush pine forests bringing that instantly recognisable Mediterranean aroma to the air. Nestling in picturesque coves are medieval fishing villages, refreshingly free from tasteless development, where the alleyways are simply pebbles set into the earth and overhead shutters sway precariously in the warm, gentle breezes. Life here continues much as it has for centuries. We go ashore to the tiny islet of St Mary’s and visit the 12th century former Benedictine monastery. With its colourful walls and altar carved from local stone you will already feel a long way from home. Gaze around you during dinner at one of the hospitable local restaurants and absorb the ambience. It’s easy to see why legend has it that the Greek hero Ulysses came here to contemplate!

Mljet Island

MLJET, MAKARSKA & PUČIŠĆA

After breakfast, take to the deck to see the spectacular coast of Korčula island sliding by as we cruise northwards through this enchanting archipelago. On reaching the mainland we drop anchor in the port of Makarska from where you can marvel at the rocky splendour of Mount Biokovo, nearly 1,828 metres above sea level, which shelters the coast from less temperate climates further inland. During the 10 th century this region was bedevilled by fearsome pirates preying on passing ships. A slightly raffish atmosphere still prevails but piracy has long since been replaced by more peaceful activities such as fishing, and the production of olive oil and wine. St Mark’s Baroque church and some palatial 18 th -century Venetian style houses stand guard over Makarska’s main square. Enjoy lunch at your leisure wherever you wish.

This afternoon we sail to the glorious island of Brac, mooring in idyllic Pučišća. This jewel of a place, perhaps the most spectacular of Croatia’s villages, boasts dwellings of gleaming white stone reflecting the sun onto the crystal clear water. Stroll ashore to explore this charming spot or relax on board before the superb Captain’s Dinner is served – a delicious selection of Croatian and Mediterranean specialities.

Hvar harbour

PUČIŠĆA, OMIS & SPLIT

Rise refreshed and take to the deck once more to watch the stunning coastal views slipping by. We drop anchor at Omis, formerly a stronghold of the formidable Corsairs of Almissa, where the spectacular emerald-green River Cetina runs into the Adriatic on this glorious stretch of the Dalmatian coast. Lunch is served on board after which we moor in Split, Dalmatia’s capital. Split is principally famous for a single building, the Emperor Diocletian’s huge palace, one of the greatest structures of the Roman Empire. No expense was spared in its construction – the best Italian marble, with columns and sphinxes from Egypt. But what makes this palace so astonishing is that during medieval times it was fully integrated into the town’s fabric with a jumble of buildings grafted onto and inside it. This means for example, the Temple of Jupiter became a baptistry. It’s all the more fascinating that today 3,000 people still live here. You will find surprises at every turn: there are tall medieval buildings lining the streets, buttressed by unmistakably Roman columns. We have a guided walking tour of this fascinating complex which has recently been used as the setting of the TV spectacular Game of Thrones. Take dinner at your leisure whilst the ship remains moored in Split. Back on board enjoy a digestif on the sun deck, drinking in the balmy evening air under a beautiful night sky.

Split

SPLIT, STARI GRAD & HVAR

This morning we’ll stop once more for an invigorating swim before we cruise to another stunning island in this breathtaking archipelago, Hvar. We moor in Stari Grad on the northern side of the island and then take the short drive by coach to the bewitching old town for a guided tour. Remarkably, it’s so compact and cosy the streets don’t even have names. With its freshwater springs, the island is unusually green, its hillsides boasting spectacular pine forests. Elsewhere you’ll find olive groves, orchards and vineyards, the aromatic pleasures of the island exemplified by the delicate fragrance of abundant lavender fields. Hvar has been inhabited since Neolithic times; later, the Ancient Greeks founded a colony here, and during the 14 th -century, as the Venetian Empire extended its influence, it became a major naval base. Also on the island’s northern shores are some distinctive fortified 16 th -century buildings, built to repel pirates and assaults by the Ottoman Empire. After exploring Hvar’s agricultural, historical and cultural splendours, we transfer back to Stari Grad where you can dine at leisure wherever you wish. The ship remains moored in Stari Grad overnight.

Pucisca

STARI GRAD & KORČULA

Morning breaks and we find ourselves breakfasting over more stunning views of this most spectacular coastline. After a leisurely morning and another tasty lunch on board we soon arrive into the historic town of Korcula. Ruled by the Venetians for 800 years, it is rather reminiscent of a much smaller Dubrovnik, with its host of tangled lanes so typical of medieval Mediterranean ports. The town is a charming small fortress, celebrated for supplying timber for the wooden walls of Venice and its harbour was a major shelter for the Venetian fleet. You’ll find architectural gems at every turn in its narrow cobbled streets. Famous for its artistic and musical traditions, Korcula has its own unique sword dance, the ‘moreska’, and a form of a-capella singing, but is much more famous as the birthplace of the explorer Marco Polo. His house can still be visited, as can the All Saints museum with its glorious collection of Byzantine icons.

After our guided walking tour, you are free to explore this beautiful town further. After dinner at your leisure, why not take an after-dinner drink in one of the innumerable harbour side cafés whilst admiring the sleek lines of the MV Corona.

Korcula old town

KORČULA & DUBROVNIK

As our elegant yacht drifts on past the rocky shores of the beautiful Elaphite Islands, if the weather allows, it’s your last chance to take a swim off the back of the ship as if it were your very own! After lunch on board, we arrive in Dubrovnik once more and take a guided tour of the old town. An independent city state for much of its history, it has evolved differently to the rest of Croatia. The city threw off its Venetian shackles during medieval times founding a commercial empire trading with the eastern Mediterranean, France, Spain and later the Ottoman Empire. As so often happened, the city began to reflect its resultant wealth and today this wonderfully Baroque city proudly nestles behind its huge imposing ramparts in a location of outstanding natural beauty. The main avenue, lined by intimate cafés, is completely paved with marble, which dazzles in the sunlight and gives credence to the city’s description as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’. Throughout the city you will find a wonderful array of monasteries, beautifully decorated churches and civic buildings dating from the 14 th -century. The guided walking tour encompasses all this and more, after which you are free to explore as you wish.

This evening enjoy a final dinner at your leisure in this most beguiling of cities; and as you relax, your thoughts inevitably turn to the wonderful places you have experienced and the interesting people you have met on this most fascinating of maritime adventures.

Advice for pleasant charter, part ii.

In our previous article we advised you on what to pay attention to when choosing sailing ground, period and company. When you have made those decisions, it is time to choose a boat, acquire necessary paperwork and, finally, check in.

Advice for pleasant charter, part I

Most people charter in summer. In winter, Adriatic Sea can be quite rough, so unless you are an experienced sailor looking for exciting sailing and solitude of islands in the winter, avoid winter sailing – it’s much easier in summer. In summer there are many other boats around you to help you in case you need it, the sea is calmer and the temperatures are high.

Explore and enjoy Croatia – ideas for charter

Nautical tourism certainly represents one of the most attractive forms of the overall tourism offer of the Republic of Croatia. We can rightfully say that Croatia, the land of a thousand islands and a beautiful, indented coastline, is a "haven for boaters".

Testimonials

We used Polaris Yachting/Ivana’s service for a recent 1 week Yacht Cruise that we went on in Croatia. I had contacted many agencies and was very frustrated with either not receiving any answers, and those that answered weren’t really attentive to my questions, that was until I talked with Ivana. Ivana was very knowledgable, experienced and answered my emails quickly and was able to address all my questions and concerns. She worked very hard to find the exact cruise that tailored to exactly what we were looking for and was a pleasure to work with. Then came time for our cruise. The yacht “YOLO” was spectacular – totally exceeded expectations. We felt like we were Royalty. Our bedroom was spacious with loads of storage and counter space, with really comfie beds and the best shower we had on our whole trip. The meals were gourmet and excellent – we ate really well and weren’t hungry for many days after our cruise ended. The entire boat was luxury! Plus our Captain, cruise director and crew did everything they could to provide for us, make us comfortable and ensure that our cruise was unforgettable. Thank you Ivana for all your insight, experience and assistance in finding and organizing this amazing cruise. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Polaris Yachting for those of you with future travels to Croatia.

Ivana Tomic Kalina from Polaris That’s who I found while researching for what’s to do in Croatia. One of the best and well planned trip we had, she even help me make lunch reservation when I couldn’t contact the restaurant in Croatia the US. She is very responsive, patience and caring, always checking up on the process. Im already sending friends to her to be plan their own trip. I booked a 7 nights cruise from Dubrovnik- Split, but I think she can also book private yacht, day trip boat and car transfer too.

Ivana with Polaris Yachting was absolutely priceless in planning my epic birthday trip to Croatia!! The planning started over a year prior and she was extremely helpful in guiding us toward exactly what we really wanted to do in order to see and do as much as possible in a 2 week trip. The small cruise suggestion with Zantium travel during the middle of our trip was the BEST bang for our buck to see so many beautiful places. She also never hesitated in answering all my questions even helping me to make sure the Airbnb’s we booked in both Dubrovnik and Split were in the perfect areas. Can’t imagine planning the trip without her. The Croatia trip was an absolute dream come true and I can’t wait to return and visit even more of the country and surrounding areas.

Ivana booked a Motor yacht for myself and my family from Split around the Croatia islands. We were booking quite late on so there was not much availability, but she found us the perfect boat. We spent three days travelling around the islands of Croatia, which was amazing, the boat was perfect and we had some fantastic crew, I cannot recommend her enough. She also arranged all our transfers from Split to our hotel, our for dinners and also from hotel to the marina.

Ivana was great to work with from the get-go, answering all my questions and providing various options. At first, none of them seemed to be what we were looking for, but luckily Ivana came back to us when a new boat became available to do a private 3 day/2 night trip with a pick up in Split and drop off in Hvar, which was exactly what we were looking for. Ivana provided some tips/suggestions of the route to ensure that we could see the various popular spots on my list. From the moment we got on the Grey Goose with Maggie, we knew we had made the right decision! We had an awesome time just relaxing on the boat and then making various stops to bays/coves where we could swim, snorkel, kayak, etc before getting back on the boat to our next stop and of course enjoying delicious lunch and refreshing beverages.

We couldn’t have asked for a better time on the boat to celebrate our honeymoon and are grateful for Maggie and our skipper Zoran for their hospitality and bringing us to some beautiful spots that we will not forget! Would definitely recommend booking through Polaris Yachting.

We had the absolute best day of our trip with Polaris Yachting – cannot recommend enough!! Tino was our skipper who was just great, we had super intense winds on the way home but felt so safe and comfortable with him. We loved the flexibility of choosing where we wanted to go – Tino took us to the most beautiful, isolated & private beaches. Not to mention the incredible lunch. The boat was also so spacious & well-kept. Overall it was one of the best days yet, we can’t wait to recommend this to our friends & family who come to Croatia in the future ♥️

This was one of the best excursions my family has ever done! At first we traveled from Omis to a remote cove on the island of Brac for some swimming. While swimming Mario and Roko made lunch. The lunch was amazing! With lunch they provided homemade wine and beer which was very good. The beer and wine was available throughout the trip. We then ventured to a sleepy town, Picisca, to explore and shop. After walking the town we returned to the boat where we traveled to a point where we could sail back into Omis. This was a fun trip that my family would do again. I recommend this excursion to all!

10 things to do on a yacht charter during the Dubrovnik Summer Festival

Dalmatia Region

This is one of the most popular regions for yacht charters in Croatia. Located on the southern coast, its made up of 233 miles of coastline, islands, and reefs, and includes the must-see historic towns of Split and Dubrovnik , as well as hundreds of stunning verdant islands and national parks.

Croatia's second-largest city – its "crown jewel',  Split  has a history dating back to the 4th century. It is also home to the beautiful Roman  Diocletian's Palace , a top recommended destination for your tour.

Split also boasts some of Croatia's largest marinas, and is within shooting distance of the celebrated islands of Korčula , Hvar , Vis, and Brač . Visit the world-famous Zlatni Rat beach on Brač's southern side, or sample the vibrant nightlife and clubbing scene on Hvar, which also plays host to several regattas over the summer season. Further south is  Dubrovnik,  a UNESCO World Heritage site of huge architectural prominence.

Istria Region

Located in the north of Croatia, this region has a distinctly Italian feel to it, and has plenty of fantastic places to visit. Pula, the region's capital, is crammed with museums, which isn't surprising given its history that dates back to 3,000BC.

Across the water, lies the Brijuni National Park , a group of 14 small picturesque islands easily accesible from the mainland. Slightly to the north, the beautiful old fishing port of Rovinj is also well-worth a visit, with its steep cobbled streets and charming piazzas.

Travel south to historic Zadar , where you can enjoy a quiet walk along marbled streets and pine-scented beaches. Further south you will find the Kornati archipelago , a group of 100 or so relatively barren islands and reefs which are perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

Croatia’s stunning coastline and idyllic verdant islands have made it one of the most popular regions for Mediterranean yacht charters . To truly experience the magic of this country, here are our tips on the places you must check out when you charter a yacht in Croatia.

Don't Miss:

  • Game of Thrones tour - through parts of Old Town, Dubrovnik where some of the most memorable scenes were filmed.
  • Dubrovnik Summer Festival  - see dramas, plays, classical music concerts and much more.
  • 360˚ Dubrovnik - Michelin-starred restaurant built into the walls of the old town, with exquisite views over the harbour.
  • Diocletian’s Palace  - UNESCO site within the walls of Split’s historic and thriving town.
  • Franciscan Monastery - Visit Hvar’s 15th-century monastery and museum that overlooks a shady cove, and meander charming gardens that feature a 300-year old cypress tree.
  • Plitvice Lakes National Park - one of the oldest and largest national parks in Croatia.
  • Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) - located on the southern coast of Brač, regularly listed as one of the top beaches in Europe.
  • Blue Grotto, Bisevo - situated in the central Dalmatian archipelago, this waterlogged sea cave has an intriguing glowing blue light that appears at certain times of the day.
  • Pula Arena - one of the world’s six largest Roman amphitheatres, and certainly it’s most well-preserved.
  • Visovac Monastery - situated on a tiny island in the Krka National Park.
  • Mljet National Park tour - takes guests to the area of the first protected ecosystem in the Adriatic.

Avid island-hoppers seeking solitude love a Croatia yacht charter itinerary. Of approximately 1,185 islands just 66 are inhabited, making the unfettered beauty of its isles, inlets and bays ripe for exploration. Among these wonderful islands to explore are the verdant gems of  Hvar , Vis, Korčula , and Brač.

But yacht rentals in Croatia are also ideal for guests seeking impressive designer shopping, exquisite wineries and glittering nightlife in its main cities.

yacht cruise kroatien

Culminating from Illyrian, Roman, Venetian, Christian, and Austrian empires all competing for Croatia’s ownership, Croatia is home to an astoundingly rich cultural heritage. This makes for a fabulous yacht charter: from the Venetian palaces and designer boutiques of the jet-set haven of Hvar; to the Benedictine beauty of the UNESCO-listed walled city of Dubrovnik; to the Italian infused architecture and cosmopolitan ambiance of Pula and beyond.

As one of the most popular destinations for yacht charters in the East Mediterranean , there should be plenty to choose from when it comes to luxury yachts for charter in Croatia. If you’re unsure about whether you want to book a motor yacht or a sailing yacht for your Croatian getaway, there are a few things you should consider first.

Motor Yacht Charters in Croatia

Whether you are interested in a small or large motor yacht, or somewhere in between, you should find a Croatia luxury charter that will more than meet your expectations. With a luxury motor yacht you can truly relax; soaking up the stunning scenery, or scuba diving reefs and wrecks under clear aqua waters, or taking a tender ashore to explore ancient Roman palaces and monasteries, as well as sampling the local cuisine and wines.

You should note that berth/slip options in Croatia for larger yachts (over 50m) are limited, however, with plenty of safe and tranquil anchorage spots to choose from amongst the numerous islands, islets, and reefs around this Adriatic hotspot you will be spoilt for choice.

Sailing Yacht Charters in Croatia

The Adriatic enjoys an average of 315 cloudless days a year, and with winds in Croatia generally around 10-20 knots, this can make chartering a sailing yacht a great option to explore the picturesque islands and secluded beaches at your leisure. The winds do tend to get stronger in the fall, so bear this in mind when booking your charter.

There should be ample sailing yachts, gulets (traditional wooden yachts), and catamarans for charter in Croatia, but we do recommend booking early to secure your perfect yacht and desired itinerary.

Gulet Charters in Croatia

Gulets are traditional wooden boats originating from Turkey , but are now widely available throughout Croatia and Greece . These types of boats offer a fantastic and cost-effective alternative to a luxury charter yacht, for those wishing to spend a bit less but still enjoy a fabulous yacht charter in the Mediterranean .

With so many options available, there’s something to suit every type of budget in Croatia. The average prices for motor yacht and sailing yacht charters in Croatia are as follows;

  • For motor yacht rentals in Croatia, prices can range from $32,000 to $1,8m per week plus expenses
  • For luxury sailing yacht rentals in Croatia, prices can go from $32,363 to $582,882 weekly plus expenses

Child playing in the sea during a yacht charter in Croatia

The optimal times for yacht charters in Croatia’s sapphire-hued waters span from May till October. During this time, you can benefit from calmer seas, reliably clement weather, and warm swimming temperatures. Croatia’s peak season is July and August, so expect both higher charter fees and packed marinas in these months.

There are a variety of options, although most yachts charters tend to begin in Dubrovnik or Split in the Dalmatia region, both of which have major international transport links. Another popular option is to set off from Italy or Montenegro and then cruise the Adriatic down towards the Kornati a rchipelago or along the Dalmatia region – encompassing 233 miles of coastline stretching from Krk to Lastovo .

Croatia has numerous must-see destinations and you will be hard-pushed to fit them all in. For itineraries along the southern Dalmatian coast, some yachts may spend a day in port in Dubrovnik – ‘the pearl of the Adriatic’ – before setting off for the picturesque surrounding archipelagos, which include the popular island destinations of Hvar , Mljet, Vis, and Brač . You can either finish your yacht charter back in Dubrovnik or continue on to finish up in Split – the cultural and economic center of Dalmatia.

For yacht charters in the north of Croatia, many like to begin in Venice or Bari, located in Italy’s Puglia (or Apulia) region, before crossing the Adriatic to Croatia's Istria region. From here you can explore the popular island of Pula , with its world-class Roman amphitheater, before cruising down towards Zadar and the Kornati National Park .

Alternatively, you can begin in Porto Montenegro – only an hour’s drive from Dubrovnik – although you may have to cover the cost of repositioning as many luxury charter yachts in Croatia are based in Split.

It’s simple enough to begin your superyacht vacation in a neighboring country before heading to Croatia. For more advice please speak to your yacht charter broker .

sample itineraries

We recommend finishing your luxury charter in Split, Croatia's second-largest city and one of the most popular superyacht hotspots on the Adriatic. Renowned for its pristine beaches and crystalline waters, plus with a vibrant mix of things to see and do, you'll be in for a treat.

Glittering blue marina in Croatia

There are hundreds of harbors, marinas, and ports in Croatia, so whether stopping off in Dubrovnik or sailing to the far side of the Lastovo Archipelago National Park there are sure to be facilities or an anchorage to suit your needs.

There are 56 official marinas along the Croatian coast from Umag to Dubrovnik. Some of out top picks include;

  • ACI Marina Dubrovnik – located within a short distance to Dubrovnik’s historic old town. It has 380 slips and can accommodate yachts up to 60m/196ft. For larger yachts, or yachts not requiring a slip, another popular option is to utilize the international cruise ship terminal quay, which is happy to facilitate yacht charter pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • ACI Marina Korčula – ideal for a stop off at one of the many island destinations on your yacht charter, we recommend this sheltered marine, which accommodates yachts up to a maximum LOA of 40m/131ft.
  • Lumbarda Marina – also on Korčula this marina has slips catering to yachts up to a max length of 25m/82ft.
  • ACI Marina Vrboska – located in the celebrated islnad of Hvar, this marina offers berths for yachts up to a max length of 30m/98ft.
  • Cavtat Marina – If you're struggling to find a slip in the summer, we recommend this marina, which is located to the south of Dubrovnik and enjoys good shelter from all winds. It offers 119 slips for yachts up to a max LOA of 60m/197ft.

Some of the best ports in Croatia are also located in the Istria region in northern Croatia. We recommend;

  • D-Marin Dalmacija – located a few kilometers south of the ancient city of Zadar, which is the largest marina in Croatia with 1,200 berths and can accommodate yachts up to 80m LOA.
  • ACI Marina Rovinj – catering for yachts with a LOA of up to 25m/82ft
  • Marina Funtana – max length 20m/65ft.

For larger berths in the Split-Dalmatia region:

  • ACI Marina Split –  located in the heart of Croatia's "jewel" this marina has recently been modernised, offering great shopping, dining, fuelling and repair services to name but a few, alongside 318 protected berths that can accommodate superyachts up to 90m LOA.
  • Marina Kastela – just 7km up the coast from Split – which can accommodate superyachts of up 150m/492ft in length, with a draft of 8m.
  • D-Marin Mandalina – located in the city of Šibenik, situated between two National Parks within a protected lagoon, this marina boasts 429 slips, and has also been specially developed to accommodate yachts of up to 140m/459ft LOA.

Dubrovnik's glittering blue waters and old port

With its rich cultural and architectural history, along with lush national parks and secluded beaches, Croatia is fast becoming one of our most popular destinations. Therefore, we advise you to book your yacht charter well in advance of your trip to secure your perfect yacht on your preferred dates.

If you leave it too late, the selection of yachts at your disposal will be reduced and you may not be able to explore the destinations you have your heart set on. Plus, finding dates when everyone in your charter party is available can be tricky; the longer you leave it, the more challenging it will be.

Your yacht charter broker will also need plenty of time to tailor an itinerary to suit you, and enough time to book ahead for the nights you wish to spend in marinas. We recommend booking up to 3 months in advance to give your broker the optimum time to organise everything down to the last detail.

Croatia Yacht Charter Q&A

Some important things to consider before booking your yacht;

  • Yachts tend to spend more time at anchor in Croatia, so you need to consider that when choosing your perfect yacht. Ideally, find a yacht that is comfortable with ample leisure and entertainment facilities onboard.
  • Avoid heading into Dubrovnik when the big cruise ships are in town, these vessels can hold some 3,000 passengers and the town can become uncomfortably crowded.
  • You should also be aware that certain zones in Croatia's waters forbid fishing or diving, or require special permissions to do so. This is something you can discuss with your yacht broker, or yacht captain when deciding on your itinerary.

There should be a wide selection of yachts to choose from, so there is sure to be something that suits both you and your budget.

Croatian Gulets, traditional wooden yachts with wide beams that offer spacious deck areas and generous accommodation, are a fantastic and cost-effective alternative to a luxury charter yacht. Gulets are available to charter for around €13,500-€15,000 per week, which usually includes food and up to 4 hours cruising per day.

Gulets are also perfect for family charters, or those who simply enjoy spending their time out on deck soaking up the beautiful surroundings of this stunning region.

Why not visit our yacht charter fleet page for a comprehensive look at all yachts available for charter around Croatia.

Alternatively, you can reach out to your preferred yacht broker , who will be sure to help you find your perfect yacht and itinerary around the dates that suit both you and your guests.

The perfect time for yacht charters in Croatia is between May to October, with average temperatures in the mid to high 20s, calm sapphire seas and endless days of glorious sunshine.

You should note that Croatia's peak season is in July and August, so expect both higher charter fees and crowded marinas during these months.

Most charters tend to begin in the beautiful historic towns of Dubrovnik or Split before continuing on to the celebrated islands of Hvar, Mljet, Vis and Brač. Alternatively, you can begin in Montenegro in the south, but you should note there may be additional re-positioning fees to pay as most yachts are based out of Split.

Another option is to begin your yacht charter in Venice, Italy then cross the Adriatic to Croatia's breathtaking northern region before cruising down the coast to Zadar or Split.

Once you have decided on your perfect yacht, your yacht broker will then draw up the necessary contract; a legally binding agreement between you and the owner of the yacht. At this point, based on the type of contract, you will be required to pay 50% of the cost of the yacht up front, with an additional 25-30% of this base rate to cover additional expenses you and your guests are expected to incur whilst on charter.

For more information about the costs of chartering a yacht, please read our helpful guide:  Yacht Charter Costs Explained , which describes the fee structure in more detail.

FULL YACHT CHARTER REVIEW

Inspected by us..

FREEDOM yacht charter was built in 2019 and since then, she has made countless guests fondly remember the time they spent on this wonderful yacht and the unique atmosphere of the Croatian Adriatic sea.

Her first refit came just in time for her to be ready for the 2022 summer season, with numerous amenities added to her already avid collection of yacht facilities, including an onboard spa centre, a yacht cinema, which doubles as a game room for kids and a fully equipped yacht gym.

The dining room located on the upper deck has enough room to accommodate all guests in a well-appointed and air-conditioned interior. The architecture of the superstructure allows for wide and full-sized windows, which will surely elevate the atmosphere during meals in the upper deck salon, regardless of it being day or night.

Because she was built specifically for cruising in the Croatian Adriatic sea, you will have no problems at all relaxing on her decks, enjoying her amenities or sleeping tight in her wonderfully appointed cabins, because of her sturdiness and stability, both at anchor and underway.

She can take on a maximum of 23 guests, accommodating them in 11 cabins, scattered across three decks of this glorious yacht charter.

There will be a total of 11 crew members that will take care of your every wish and desire, as long as you are on holiday on FREEDOM yacht charter. Since the crew-to-guest ratio is 1:2, expect a more detailed and finer service, reflected in the hospitality experience you will definitely enjoy.

Each cabin on FREEDOM yacht charter is modernly furnished and designed following contemporary interior yacht styles. There are twin and double cabins to choose from and every accommodation has an ensuite, as well as an AC unit, a wardrobe with a safe, a desk with a chair and a big LCD TV.

There is also an intercom for the crew’s and the captain’s announcements. All the cabins are also sound-proof, guaranteeing a good night’s sleep to every guest, regardless of the position of their cabin, in relation to other cabins or guests aboard.

The cruising speed of FREEDOM yacht charter is a comfortable 9 knots, with a maximum speed of about 11 knots. This means that the guests will have plenty of time to enjoy the slow and steady changes that will happen with the peripheral panorama.

Passing between lush green islands and entering stretches of nothing but crystal-clear sea, FREEDOM will offer a comfortable cruise to her charter guests.

A DAY ON THE YACHT

Feel the comfortable warmth of the summer sun in Croatia as you board FREEDOM yacht charter and begin your yachting holiday adventure. Considering all the things you can do around and with the help of FREEDOM, you will not be bored a single second – watersports , entertainment, trips to the shore , coast exploration… take your pick!

Your dedicated yacht crew will be there at every step of your journey, making sure you have everything you need for a perfect charter experience. Once you finish with the complimentary champagne, pick a cabin that will be your home for the next several days and start enjoying yourself.

Let your crew take you on a short tour of FREEDOM, so you could familiarize yourself with all the amenities you will have a chance to spend time on during your cruise holiday. Following the itinerary, FREEDOM may cruise towards a particularly beautiful stretch of the Croatian coastline or pick a more secluded island, out of reach of regular tourists.

This will give you an opportunity to get more closely acquainted with all the beauties that Croatian Adriatic nature has to offer. Enjoy the warm embrace of the crystal-clear sea and the incredible diversity of underwater flora and fauna.

Stroll along magnificent beaches, both completely private and incredibly appealing. Swim surrounded only by the lush green vegetation and the shade of turquoise blue tones while listening to the sounds of the waves near you and the crickets in the distance.

Find a tranquil spot to rest under the shade of swaying pine trees, as you soak in all the wonderful things that make up a Croatian summer holiday.

After all these experiences, your soul will be well satisfied, but your body will require nourishment. And that is where the incredibly-talented chefs of FREEDOM yacht charter come into play, because they will prepare mouthwatering lunches and dinners for you to enjoy.

The ingredients will be locally acquired, the seafood freshly caught and the meat sourced from Croatian farms. Add to that the incredible diversity and quality of native Croatian wines, and you got a receipt for complete gastronomical enjoyment.

Sit down for lunch and enjoy dishes like a grilled shrimp risotto with peas, carrots and chilli salsa, freshly caught Adriatic tuna with quinoa and chill side and a caramelized apple with a white chocolate centre for dessert.

After you have sufficiently filled up on delicious dishes, choose to spend some time lounging on the upper deck. Shielded by the shade of the hardtop, enjoy staring in the distance of the incredible Adriatic panorama, while your diligent charter crew serve hand-made cocktails and other refreshing beverages.

There are still plenty of things to do as you digest the terrific lunch, like soaking in the jacuzzi, taking in all the different sensations that make up the incredible Croatian Adriatic, with its many islands, the shimmering turquoise sea and the lush greenery of the coastline.

This atmosphere will certainly accentuate all the different experiences that FREEDOM yacht charter offers, primarily taking advantage of the jacuzzi. Surrounded by all this heavenly bliss, you will feel transported into a dimension of pure enjoyment.

As you relax in the warm embrace of the hot tub and share this special moment with other close members of your charter party, be sure that a member of your charter crew will always be at your disposal, serving snacks and beverages, to make the jacuzzi experience even more memorable.

As the sun begins to set and becomes dimly visible in the night sky, prepare to savour a luxury treat. A fully functional yacht cinema will be at your disposal, during the entirety of your Croatian charter vacation on FREEDOM yacht charter.

With a rich library of movies, both from Hollywood and from abroad, you will get to pick the perfect title to fit this unique venue.

If you are feeling more exploratory, why not watch a local Croatian movie or a documentary about the Croatian Adriatic sea? There will also be plenty of popular series to choose from, ranging from hot Netflix titles to more widely recognized Hollywood movies.

In the meantime, your expert crew will prepare handmade popcorn and other tasty treats, as well as refreshing beverages to go with your movie-watching night.

Choose to stay active during your yacht vacation in Croatia and take full advantage of the modern yacht gym equipment aboard FREEDOM yacht charter. Work on your fitness by yourself or with members of your charter party, because it is always more fun to work out in a group.

You could also opt for hiring a fully-certified fitness trainer, who will upgrade your training with professional guidance and advice. Share your goals with your coach and fulfil one of your goals regarding physique during your Croatian summer holiday.

Combine training sessions with the onboard spa centre on FREEDOM yacht charter and let wellness and fitness create an atmosphere of well-being and activity on your holiday. After you are done with the gym, pamper your senses with massages, skin treatments, manicures, pedicures or facials.

Finally, take a swim in the refreshing Adriatic sea and let the healing and rejuvenating properties of the healthy and clean salt water work wonders on your overall health and strength, both of body and mind.

After all these activities, you will surely feel depleted of energy and ready for dinner; seeing that lunch was such a huge success, except the dinner on FREEDOM yacht charter to be nothing short of miraculously tasty and mouthwateringly-good.

Delight in dishes like linguini with rice, served with a parmesan, nutmeg and peanut sauce or a surf`n`turf menu featuring grilled lobster tails with butter and truffle-seasoned steak. For dessert, savour a ricotta crème with coconut shavings and dark chocolate buttons.

After enjoying tasty dishes, prepare for the evening`s entertainment, which could range from live Croatian bands playing on the upper deck to a night on the town, if FREEDOM berths in a lively Croatian seaside settlement. It all depends on the arrangements between you, your charter party, your yacht crew and the captain.

There are also no rules about staying on board and just enjoying the visual sensations that the evening sky in Croatia presents. Because the levels of light pollution are so low, you will have no problem distinguishing stars with your naked eye, and if you are lucky, you will get to witness a spectacular sight.

Each year, around August, the Croatian sky becomes illuminated by the passing of the Perseids, a yearly meteor shower, with nearly 80 falling stars visible each hour. Take this opportunity and sky gaze, surrounded by the luxury of FREEDOM yacht charter.

YACHT CHARTER DINING

After you set foot on FREEDOM yacht charter, you will be able to experience first-hand the quality of food being prepared in the galley of this fantastic yacht. The expert team of chefs and sous chefs will constantly work to improve the menu, while serving fresh and locally sourced food.

The type of service on FREEDOM yacht charter is buffet-orientated for breakfast and a family-style service for lunch and dinner. This means that guests can stay close together and enjoy each other`s company while they eat, at the same time letting the crew spend less time delivering food and instead focusing more on the hospitality part of their service

For breakfast, you can expect a wide variety of locally-sourced fruits and vegetables, as well as freshly-made juices. There will also be plenty of sweet and savoury breakfast pastry to choose from, alongside eggs done in several different ways (or made to order).

For lunch, guests can expect dishes similar to fast-fried veal tenderloin with spring greens and a sun-dried tomato salad, poached salmon with brown rice and steam-cooked broccoli or grilled Adriatic sea bass, seasoned with fennel, thyme and sweet peppers. For dessert, a sweet and sour lemon tart with a honey glaze.

Dinner dishes could look like an octopus cooked „under the bell“, with potatoes, peppers and paprika, meatballs over home-made pasta, seasoned with locally made tomato sauce, salt-based and smoked salmon, served over a side of carrot, spinach and cauliflower lasagne, and for dessert – a pistachio cream over hand-made banana ice cream.

Lunch and dinner will consist of several courses and a dessert course while you are onboard FREEDOM yacht charter, with an additional option of tasting dishes in exclusive Croatian restaurants, once FREEDOM makes port.

YACHT MAIN DECK

Since FREEDOM was made to cruise in the Croatian Adriatic, this reflects primarily in her exterior profile and structure. Her stability is achieved by her width, which is possible in the Adriatic, since storms and unfriendly weather starts at the end of autumn.

Her paint job also reflects her Adriatic attitude, with a white coating and several streamlined light blue stripes, personifying her friendly relation to the sea. The first partition on the main deck aft is dedicated to the crew mess and logistics of the yacht itself. Forward from this crew area and guests can enter a huge master cabin.

This central cabin is equipped with a tub, a shower cabin and double sinks, as well as plenty of space in the living quarter, which is modernly designed and contemporary furnished.

Forward still from the central master cabin, there are 5 more cabins – 2 twin cabins and 3 double cabins. This arrangement works great for guests who want more versatility in their choice of sleeping arrangement.

YACHT SUNDECK

The jacuzzi on the sundeck is the epitome of yacht luxury – placed on the aft section of the sundeck, it is surrounded on all sides by pillows and sunbathing cushions, creating an island around the jacuzzi, where guests can chit-chat or sunbathe, while also being able to roll over into the jacuzzi at a moment`s notice.

A cool feature of FREEDOM`s jacuzzi is that it is equipped with LED lights, so that evening jacuzzi sessions become even more coveted during the evenings, when the first light of the stars begins to show itself on the clear Croatian night sky.

Because Croatian has a low level of light pollution, the best place to watch the stars would be in the LED-lighted jacuzzi, where you can feel truly become one with the universe.

On the bow of the sundeck, FREEDOM yacht charter offers what so many other yachts only dream of enabling their guests to experience. An incredibly spacious pool, with an infinity window looking outward and towards the direction of FREEDOM`˙s cruising path.

Since there are two incredible water-based venues on the sundeck alone, guests who are experiencing FREEDOM the first time will be in absolute awe when the long list of her amenities is finally presented.

The forward pool is also equipped with LED lights, to shine bright in the evening and to be a constant reminder of how exclusive and luxurious a stay on FREEDOM yacht charter is.

The sundeck is also equipped with movable sun loungers in front of the pool, so guests have more versatility when it comes to enjoying all the benefits of the warm summer sun and the refreshing turquoise waters of the Croatian Adriatic.

Under the sundeck hardtop, a lounge arrangement provides rest and relaxation in the cover of the shade, for guests wanting to spend their siesta in an area protected from the sun.

Last but not least, the interior yacht gym on the sundeck is the place where guests who want to stay active on their charter holiday spend some of their time. It can put to shame any home gym, with an added bonus of incredible views to go with your workout.

A treadmill, a step machine and a stationary bike are the biggest pieces of equipment available, but you can also do a lot with a punching bag, a yoga ball and a full set of weights. A mirror enables you to follow every muscle movement precisely, while a widescreen LED TV provides entertainment for those last minutes of a workout.

The gym is more than spacious enough to handle several guests at once, or a guest training with a professional fitness or yoga instructor.

YACHT LOWER DECK

Besides housing cabin accommodations, the lower deck on FREEDOM yacht charter is also home to some incredible yacht amenities, like the sauna, the massage room and the yacht cinema.

The sauna follows the same pattern of modern design, with the entire room arranged in a natural way; the interior of the sauna supports two benches, while the wood is bright and light, accentuated by the LED lights integrated into the ceiling. Outside the glass door, a small lay-back sofa offers a chance to literally catch your breath after exiting the sauna.

One of the most favourite ways of snapping out of the sauna`s warm embrace is jumping straight into the cool Croatian Adriatic sea, for instant refreshment, while the healing properties of the salty water do wonders for the cleansing of pores opened by the effects of the sauna.

For the guests who do not wish to seek refreshment in the sea, a shower cabin will provide a similar effect. The nearby dedicated massage room follows the design pattern present in the sauna: beige walls with brown details and furniture, but with a green wall integrated into the background, alongside a double mirror feature.

The inviting and homey atmosphere of the massage room will make you relax even before you lay down on the table. Let your charter crew arrange a professional masseuse, who will massage every ounce of stress from your body, enabling you to harmonize with your soul.

The yacht cinema is something else entirely. This amenity is usually only reserved for mega yachts spanning 80 meters+, but FREEDOM yacht charter manages to incorporate this truly unique space with smart engineering and ingenious naval architecture.

The cinema room brings together an extra-wide LCD TV, which serves as a gaming station for the PlayStation console, while on the other side of the room, double rows of leather-upholstered sofas give incredible comfort when watching your favourite movies.

The movie room can be synced to show any kind of audio-visual content, so you can also look forward to watching your favourite Netflix series as well.

The aesthetic of the cinema room is subtle, with dimmed LED lights illuminating the room just enough so guests can distinguish between a batch of freshly hand-made popcorn and refreshing beverages brought in by your loving charter crew.

YACHT CHARTER ACCOMMODATION: TWIN CABIN

When it comes to accommodations aboard FREEDOM yacht charter, there is a need to talk about colours, first and foremost. White dominates every aspect of the twin cabins, but this is not done in a flimsy way.

Instead, white is subtly combined with an incredible array of white tones, incorporating different tones of grey, creme, snow-white, eggshell white, as well as white marble details, grey wooden wall panels and lots of reflective surfaces.

This makes the cabins stand out, even more, when they are hit by the natural light coming in from the incredibly spacious and wide windows or portholes. The modern atmosphere is achieved by designer furniture and smart usage of straight and curved lines in the construction of the cabin.

The ensuites translate the same luxurious commodities found in the cabins – plenty of space, light and a contemporary atmosphere.

YACHT CHARTER ACCOMMODATION: DOUBLE CABIN

Space in the double cabins is dominated by the wide and comfortable queen-sized berth, with a headspace decorated by white marble details. Two nightstands on either side of the berth have sophisticated night lights, that combine mirrors in their design, alongside more traditional means of illumination.

The atmosphere of the entire cabin is bright and light, thanks to white being the dominant colour – subtle gray details only accentuate the brightness of the white, while daylight coming in through wide windows is spread around the cabin thanks to the prevalence of white.

Besides the visual impression, all the materials used in decoration and design of the double cabins are rare, expensive and luxurious, making the guest`s stay in the cabins as comfortable and inviting as possible.

Other types of furniture include a full-length and angled sofa, where guests can take a short nap or just relax during the day. There are lots of storage space, as well as a desk and a chair, for answering e-mails or doing some unexpected work.

YACHT BEACH CLUB & SWIMMING PLATFORM

The beach club and swimming platform on FREEDOM yacht charter will surprise with its versatility, able to provide numerous hours of fun several feet from the water`s edge. When guests decide to take a relaxing and refreshing swim in the Croatian Adriatic sea, they can jump or slowly enter the water, thanks to steel swimming ladders.

Afterwards, three outdoor freshwater showers will provide the opportunity to rinse the salt off, without having to go all the way to your cabin and back.

Enjoy the visual impressions of the sea, as the turquoise blue meets the golden shimmer of reflected sunlight and take in the atmosphere of your Croatian yacht holiday. Better still, have your charter crew serve champagne and snacks, to elevate the visual experience even further.

There is an option of installing a water slide close to the swimming platform, which will transform this space into one of enjoyment for the youngest passengers. Parents will get to take a break from keeping an eye out for their kids, as the children relentlessly enjoy the slide, under supervision from one of the members of your diligent charter crew.

YACHT WATER TOYS & WATER SPORTS

FREEDOM yacht charter offers much to guests in search of thrill and fun on the water. Let your professional crew instruct you on how to use all the different water toys, starting with the jet ski.

The jet ski is ideal for guests looking for an adrenaline-filled ride, flying over the waves in a swift and secure manner. More experienced riders will certainly want to try jumping over the rough seas, while more relaxed guests will tend to use the jet ski as a means of scouting potential spots of interest on the nearby coastline.

Using the Seabob, guests will feel like dolphins, emerging and submerging beneath the edge of the water and exploring the beauties and secrets of the seafloor. Discover interesting specimens of fish and crab, but also sea cucumbers, corals and sea urchins.

This will all be possible because the Croatian Adriatic sea is one of the cleanest bodies of water in the world, where aquatic life still thrives in healthy and clean conditions. Kayaks will provide guests with several interesting options – they could be used for staying fit on your charter vacation, since paddling across longer distances really puts a strain on your muscles.

On the other hand, a kayak is an excellent tool for finding a private beach and staying there, because disembarkment and stowage of kayaks is so easy, particularly on the hospitable Croatian coastline.

Your charter crew will also be available to arrange donut, wakeboard or water skiing rides, for you and members of your charter party. This option is only available upon request, so make sure you talk to your crew beforehand.

  • Like other vacation operators, Vibee says it's seen increasing demand for cruise and yacht-based trips.

Insider Today

Forget concerts — Live Nation wants music fans to start going on yacht vacations .

In 2023 and amid a boom in experiential travel , the entertainment company established Vibee, a music-based event curation arm. Less than a year later, Vibee has already executed affairs like a weekend Bahamas getaway headlined by singer Lionel Richie and a three-day Cabo San Lucas, Mexico party featuring DJ Tiësto.

Now, it's moving off-land and to the high seas with its new segment: Vibee Yacht Club.

This summer, Vibee says it'll charter two superyachts for three weeklong Croatia itineraries that are set to be, of course, centered on music.

Vibee is capitalizing on yet another increasingly popular concept: themed cruises.

Themed cruises can vary vastly, from Star Trek-centered sailings to itineraries helmed by famous comedians. And as of late, many of these niche voyages have been selling out faster than ever before.

Themed cruise operator Sixthman's November 2023 hip-hop itinerary sold out in less than five days with no publicly announced lineup.

Similarly, Vibee's first cruise, the 2023 EDSea — a wordplay on the electronic dance music festival Electric Daisy Carnival, or EDC — was fully booked in three days, again with an undisclosed lineup.

Armed with EDSea’s success, Vibee wants to dive deeper into the cruise segment — this time with a luxurious spin.

"We see the desire for cruise and yacht experiences continuing to rise," Harvey Cohen, president of Vibee, told Business Insider, echoing sentiments of the cruise industry's booming demand.

And not just the mass-market players: Over the last year, luxury cruise lines have also seen a rise in interest.

In its fourth-quarter earnings report from February 2024, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings said its two high-end brands, Oceania and Regent Seven Seas, had both seen "strong demand."

The latter had launched its latest $517.9 million luxury ship a few months prior, complete with caviar and a $6 million art collection.

Luxury cruises and superyachts aren’t known to be super-affordable.

Vibee says it's chartering the 141-foot-long Lupus Mare and nearly 161-foot-long Prestige for its three yacht sailings.

Vibee Yacht Club's cheapest option starts at $3,100 per person for a two-person cabin. Comparatively, EDSea's 2024 itinerary starts at $1,405 per person for a double occupancy interior cabin.

Yet, it could be a bargain for some superyacht fans: Weeklong charters for Lupus Mare start at about $71,000 a week, according to YachtCharterFleet.

Everything is better on a yacht. Champagne? Tastes better on a yacht. Cruises in general? Better on a yacht.

yacht cruise kroatien

Going to an international music festival? Well, Vibee thinks it would be better to stay on a yacht than in a hotel.

On July 13, the first itinerary would start on day two of Ultra Europe, a popular three-day electronic dance music festival in Split, Croatia.

Following the event, the two yachts would sail to three Croatian islands before concluding in Hvar, Croatia. Along the way, the itinerary would include daytime swims, a sunset winery visit, and several parties (day and night).

Unsurprisingly, Vibee expects the itinerary to draw in younger travelers, specifically Gen Zers and millennials.

Lupus Mare is set to be chartered for two more itineraries: “Rock the Med” and “Marafiki on the Adriatic.”

yacht cruise kroatien

A three-person cabin for both starts at $3,500 per person.

On Rock the Med, the week is set to begin with VIP tickets to a Lenny Kravitz show at the historic Pula Arena.

Afterward, it would sail to Croatian destinations with an itinerary that would include beach excursions and clubs.

Marafiki on the Adriatic isn’t centered on a single music event.

yacht cruise kroatien

Instead, the roundtrip Split itinerary would feature on-board musical performances, daily yoga, "cultural outings," and, of course, beach clubs.

A bonus trip to Sonus Festival, a five-day rave, is an optional add-on.

Like a typical luxury cruise, travelers would have preorganized water taxis, chefs to prepare daily breakfasts and lunches, and all the yacht amenities.

yacht cruise kroatien

The 20-cabin, 40-guest Prestige flexes indulgences like an indoor lounge, a hot tub, and a sundeck with plenty of beds.

Meanwhile, the 15-cabin, 34-guest Lupus Mare has comforts like a sauna and gym.

yacht cruise kroatien

Travelers could wind down in the yacht's movie theater or hot tub. Or, they could take a slide into the water.

It’s no surprise Vibee is going the more sumptuous route with its itinerary-focused yacht concept.

yacht cruise kroatien

" Revenge travel " might as well be known as "regular travel" at this point: People have continued to spend big on extravagant vacations, especially on luxury small cruise ships and trips planned around experiences and adventures.

Both are niches Vibee is trying to carve out for itself: Looking ahead, the new brand is already planning more music and sea-based vacations, Cohen told Business Insider.

The new Four Seasons yacht will set sail in 2026.

Four Seasons has long set the gold standard for luxury accommodations on land and is renowned for its exquisite hotels that offer unparalleled comfort and service. Now, this legacy of luxury is extending its reach to the seas. In a groundbreaking move, Four Seasons Yachts , in collaboration with Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd and the esteemed Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, is introducing an ambitious venture into luxury sea travel. Scheduled to set sail in 2026, this initiative promises an experience that transcends traditional cruising, offering voyages across the mesmerizing waters of the Caribbean and the historic coasts of the Mediterranean.

Alejandro Reynal, President and CEO of Four Seasons, expressed enthusiasm about bringing the brand's hallmark of guest-centered luxury to the high seas. According to Reynal, this expansion into yachting is a natural extension of Four Seasons' commitment to providing personalized, elegant, and comfortable experiences. The aim is clear: to redefine luxury hospitality, but this time, against the backdrop of the world's most stunning seascapes.

The suites are breathtaking.

The inaugural season of Four Seasons Yachts is poised to offer something truly special. With ten unique voyages planned, travelers will have the opportunity to explore over 130 distinct destinations across more than 30 countries and territories. Each itinerary has been meticulously crafted, allowing guests the flexibility to design their own sea adventure. From the lively atmospheres of Caribbean islands like Saint Barthélemy and Martinique to the cultural richness of Mediterranean gems, including the Greek Isles and Croatia, these voyages promise a blend of well-loved destinations and hidden treasures.

The spacious cabins have incredible views.

Accommodations aboard the yacht are set to be a marvel in themselves. Ninety-five suites, conceived by the creative minds of Fredrik Johannson at Tillberg Design of Sweden and Creative Director Prosper Assouline, are designed to be sanctuaries of tranquility at sea. Each suite, envisioned with elegant interiors, expansive views, and a residential feel, aims to provide guests with a sense of being at home away from home. Among these, the Funnel and Loft Suites stand out for their sheer luxury and space. They offer unique features such as splash pools, outdoor showers, and breathtaking panoramic views, setting a new benchmark for luxury accommodations on water.

The pool deck features a bar and lounge chairs.

Beyond the exquisite suites, the yacht will feature various amenities designed to cater to every guest's needs. With eleven dining options, a comprehensive spa and wellness center, a state-of-the-art marina, and an innovative pool area capable of hosting events, the yacht ensures a variety of experiences that enrich the journey.

“We’re building a stunning seafaring venture that will be enjoyed as a yacht experience rather than a cruise experience," says Thatcher Brown, chief commercial officer and head of joint operations at luxury shipping specialist Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, the joint owner/operator of the Four Seasons Yachts brand. "The intrinsic value of Four Seasons brand leadership in luxury hospitality combined with the passionate pioneering spirit and expertise of the project team is manifested in the creation of truly special Four Seasons Yachts experiences."

Four Seasons Unveils First Yacht Itineraries and Suite Interiors

Four Seasons loyalists have a lot to be excited about, with the launch of the brand’s first yacht nearing in 2026.

The 14-deck luxury vessel, which is partly being modeled off of Aristotle Onassis’ iconic yacht Christina O , will offer some of the most opulent amenities at sea. Initial renderings released in October 2023 show a 66-foot saltwater pool, a marina deck built for swimming and watersports, sophisticated dining concepts, and 95 guest suites. Now, the Four Seasons has released the first renderings showcasing the spacious suites on board—and we got a first look.

The ship's sleek design seeks to translate “the Four Seasons guest experience in terms of comfort level and the luxury standards" to life at sea, Fredrik Johannson, partner and executive director of Tillberg Design of Sweden and the lead designer on the Four Seasons Yacht, tells Condé Nast Traveler. Even the hotel group’s beloved mattresses will be offered in every room.

The first renderings of the Four Season Yacht's suites were released Tuesday, showcasing spacious guest rooms with ocean views.

Also just revealed: the first destinations the yacht will call upon throughout its inaugural year. Passengers can expect to visit a wide variety of exclusive and jet-setting locales, as the yacht is slated to visit more than 130 destinations across 30 countries in its first year alone. And of course, guests will have the option to book pre-and-post cruise extensions at iconic Four Seasons resorts along the way.

“We’re incredibly proud to announce the first itineraries aboard Four Seasons Yachts, and know that these experiences will exceed our guest expectations when we set sail in 2026,” says Alejandro Reynal, Four Seasons President and CEO.

Each voyage calls upon small ports that are typically considered “yacht playgrounds," Thatcher Brown, the Chief Commercial Officer at Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD and co-owner of Four Seasons Yachts, tells Traveler. Passengers can expect to sail between Caribbean and Mediterranean coastal havens almost exclusively visited by private vessels .

When the yacht launches in January 2026, it will first head to the Caribbean, where it will complete seven-night, island-hopping itineraries between St. Barths, Nevis, the Grenadines, St Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Curaçao, and Aruba.

Then in March 2026, the ship will cross the Atlantic and begin sailing its Grand Mediterranean voyages , which include visits to alluring towns in Croatia, Gibraltar, Montenegro, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey. Travelers can also expect to access “under-the-radar” Greek islands , like Ios and Milos, as well as more popular Grecian destinations like Athens and Santorini, according to a Four Seasons release.

Guests will have the option to adjoin suites to accommodate families or other groups traveling together.

Sure the destinations sound glamorous—but it might be difficult for passengers to depart the ship and leave behind the luxe accommodations on board. Specifically the guest suites—which will offer 50% more living space per guest than any other competitor currently at sea, according to the company’s release.

Each space will offer floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of the sea, bathrooms with double vanities, and large closets. “Almost every single bed on this whole yacht is facing the sea,” Johannson says. “All the rooms there have this clarity to them. They are very exclusive, but they have a beautiful simplicity.”

Every suite will also offer private outdoor terraces. What’s more: guests will have the option to adjoin suites to accommodate families or other groups traveling together. There are more than 100 different adjoining configurations, including the option to reserve the entire side of a deck—an opportunity that would afford a group of travel companions more than 13,000 square feet of living space.

The Four Seasons Yacht will be divided between Funnel and Loft Suites, each with private outdoor terraces.

But the true showstopper on board is sure to be the Funnel Suite. Located on the very top deck where the funnel or smokestack would traditionally be, the Funnel Suite is essentially the ship’s penthouse, spanning four floors and 9,975 square feet. The massive space will feature three bedrooms and a terrace with outdoor dining space, splash pool, and outdoor showers. But the suite’s best amenity will be its views. The four-story, floor-to-ceiling windows have been fitted with the largest piece of contiguous curved glass at sea, offering sweeping 280-degree views of the ocean as the yacht sails from port to port.

Voyages on board the Four Seasons yacht haven’t yet opened for general booking, but interested travelers can join the yacht’s waitlist in hopes of securing one of the elegant suites on the 2026 itineraries.
