MEDUSA for charter

With a large refit in 2017, MEDUSA is a big volume Azimut 30 Jumbo yacht equipped with all the equipment expected on a yacht if it's kind. She features a contemporary and clean interior with 4 en-suite, a cinema / lounge room and a large salon. During the refit, zero-speed stabilizers were added for extra comfort and provide a true lifestyle while on board. The deck spaces are the highlight of MEDUSA with an oversized fly bridge with a large jacuzzi, bar, sun-bathing area, dining and plenty of space for seating. During the refit, the fly-bridge was extended to ensure the space is of a true super-yacht's size. Another key feature is the hydraulic large swimming platform, which make it very comfortable and pleasant for everyone swimming. A beach club is often set up by the crew in the swimming platform area.

MEDUSA measures 20.73m (68') and with her four-cabin layout offers luxury charter vacations in the Eastern Mediterranean for up to eight guests. She was built in 2005 and refitted in 2019, offering welcoming interiors and great exterior deck areas to unwind and relax, while a crew of three ensures top quality service.

The lower deck swim platform provides a space to sunbathe close to the water as well as easy access in and out of the tender. Stairways connect up to the main deck aft, where a plush sofa lines the stern and a raised table creates an inviting space for outdoor living and dining. Side walkways lead around to the foredeck, where there is a sunbeds across the bow to rest and take in the sweeping views.

The flybridge can be accessed via a starboard staircase on the main deck aft and here guests have a curving sofa to port that can be covered by the bimini shade. A sunbed is placed amidships and there is a bar opposite, while additional seating in the sunshine can be found by the helm controls and the stern is used for storing the tender, which is launched and retrieved using a Davit crane.

The lower deck hosts the guest accommodation forward and amidships, followed by the engine room and the crew accommodation in the stern.

MEDUSA Specifications

A central staircase leads to the main deck forward, where the helm station controls are placed forward to port and immediately behind is a curving sofa around a raised table for group dining in the atmospheric interiors. A bar and galley is placed opposite the dining area, and a set of steps lead down to the lounge, where a C-shaped sofa and coffee table are placed near the port wall and a second sofa can be found to starboard.

A pair of MTU engines each producing 1,150 HP create a top speed of 30 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots.

Yacht Charter Accommodation

The accommodation sleeps up to 8 guests over 4 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite, 1 VIP stateroom and 2 twin cabins. ~ The Master suite is placed aft of amidships and comes with a forward-facing king-sized bed, two armchairs and a side table against the port window, a desk to starboard, a wardrobe and additional storage, and an en-suite bathroom behind containing two sinks, a toilet, bidet and a bathtub with shower. ~ The VIP stateroom is situated forward and has a queen-sized bed, a vanity with a widescreen TV on the wall above, a wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom providing a toilet, sink and shower. ~ The twin cabins are placed to port and starboard between the larger cabins, the starboard cabin having a bunk setup ideal for children. Both en-suite bathrooms have a toilet, sink and shower.

Captain Stratos Chatzikariofyllis Captain Stratos was born in 1979, is Greek, married and father of two children. Licenses: Lifesaving & firefighting appliances, First Aid, Speedboat and other. He graduated the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and completed a 22 years successful career and holds a Captains Class B Diploma. He joined the yachting business in 2010 as a Captain on Various Motor Yachts since then. He has very good manners, a lot of skills, team work and always willing to assist and serve client’s needs. He is always keen to share his knowledge of the hidden beauties of Greece with their guests. His extensive experience of life cruising at sea ensures that guests will have unique memories from Greek Islands. He speaks Greek and English. Cook Shopia Leoussi Sophia was born in 1998 and is Greek. She has studied as a journalist but her passion for cooking and the sea made her to join the yachting industry in 2019. Since then she has worked on board a 64 ft Motor yacht as Cook/Hostess. She speaks English and Greek and her positive personality make sure guests on board MEDUSA will have an amazing time on board. Steward Alexandros Stamatakis Alex is on board MEDUSA since last year and is a very hard working individual. His genuine kindness and smile along with his attention to details are his biggest assets. before joining the yachting industry Alex had studied professional massage and LNG technology. He speaks English and Greek. Alex is also interested in volunteering during his free time as he was working with Greenpeace. Deckhand Niforas Christos Christos was born and raised in Greece and has been on board Medusa for more than one year while previously he worked on board MY Hakuna Matata II and MY Hakuna Matata I as deckhand. He holds a Powerboat Handling (Level 2) certificate, as well as certificate in vehicle engineering. He is very positive and detailed and keeps the yacht in perfect condition. He is a proud owner of a speedboat and he is 30 years old.

Alex is also interested in volunteering during his free time as he was working with Greenpeace. <br /> <br /> <br /> Deckhand Niforas Christos<br /> <br /> Christos was born and raised in Greece and has been on board Medusa for more than one year while previously he worked on board MY Hakuna Matata II and MY Hakuna Matata I as deckhand. He holds a Powerboat Handling (Level 2) certificate, as well as certificate in vehicle engineering. He is very positive and detailed and keeps the yacht in perfect condition. Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). Motor Yacht

The 60.60 metre superyacht Meduse was launched in 1996 with classic signature styling by the Dutch yacht builder Feadship. During her construction, some 73 kilometres of electric wiring and fibre optics were used, which stands as testimony to the sophistication of her high-tech features; most notably the entertainment and leisure elements on board.

Helicopter on the aft sun deck and ample space across the exterior, Meduse was built to entertain outside as well as internally. The incredible design elements on board include a boat deck sports bar which doubles as a recording studio, an audio/video multi-media center which is controlled by touch screen panels throughout the vessel, a sensational cinema designed by Hollywood experts, and a decompression chamber for diving.

Not only does the 60.60 metre Meduse yacht hold the makings of an idyllic charter vessel, but stands a superyacht with character, grace and effortless style. Her interior was created by McMillen, and runs through a layoutu accommodating 12 guests on board in complete luxury; consisting of one owner’s cabin, one VIP cabin, two double cabins and two twins.
