Silence & comfort

Home is all about fuel efficiency and comfort. Her lightweight aluminium hull form offers superlative performance and efficiency in a luxurious design package of under 500GT. Add a striking superstructure, vertical bow and spacious aft platform with a wide staircase leading to the main deck and we believe this yacht is a cut above others in her class.

First impressions

The exterior of Home is designed by Omega Architects and it’s our first yacht with hybrid propulsion. In this case ‘Hybrid’ means that the yacht can draw on two sources of power for propulsion: diesel mechanical and diesel electrical. Either or both sources can be used at the same time. This provides less noise and vibration, a more flexible power management which means better efficiency.

Step aboard

The brief to Cristiano Gatto with regard to the interior styling was to provide a relaxed and welcoming beach club ambience with ample connection to the outside environment. To achieve this objective, Cristiano and his team have drawn on natural materials with minimal artificial treatments and taken full advantage of the full-height glass windows.

Home, Sweet Home

M/y home  is the world's first fast displacement yacht by heesen with a hybrid propulsion. the yacht is also known as project nova and yn 17859..

HOME  is a full aluminum yacht under 500 GT and measures 50m in length. She has a transatlantic range of 3,750 nautical miles at a speed of 12 knots. Her twin  MTU 12V with 600 kW each power her up to 16.3 knots. Her two 127 kW electric engines offer a speed of 9 knots just using generators with less noise and vibrating.

The yacht features – like many other successful Heesen yachts – the  Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Dutch naval architects Van Oossanen. The exterior design was created by Omega Architects .

During her sea trials, HOME reached the contractual speed of 16.3 with the traditional diesel engines and 9 knots in hybrid mode. Also, the noise and vibrations levels are under the contracted goals.

Furthermore, the yacht showed her efficiency. At 12 knots she consumes 98 liters per hour of diesel. That can be reduced to 45 liters per hour in the hybrid mode with a speed of 10 knots. Announced was a range of 3,750 nautical miles at 12 knots. Heesen corrected this number up to 4,250 nm.

HOME Interior

The owner assigned Cristiano Gatto to design the sophisticated linear interior. The full-beam owner suite (forward on the main deck) features floor-to-ceiling windows and a private study.

Guests cabins can be found on the lower deck amidships. There are  two doubles, two twins, and one full-beam VIP suite. The crew area with mess and cabins is forward located. On the lower deck is also the Gym and SPA. This area is also directly connected to the main deck through an extra staircase.

Heesen delivered a sister ship with grey paining, christened motor yacht ERICA (ex Project BOREAS) .

Low and sleek like a steamer, even down to the clipper bow and fantail stern... How much more classic can a motor yacht get? This may well be the ideal platform for a long range cruiser / motor-sailor / personal yacht. The interior layout is ample for a couple and friends, and the main deck accommodations are perfect for summer indoor-outdoor living. The finish throughout is the finest available. Swallowtail 60 - A motor sailing yacht designed to carry two in comfort to the far corners of the globe.  Derived from the Greatheart / Swallow's Nest series, Swallowtail is the perfect Nomadic Watercraft . Swallow's Nest 60 - Conceived as a true motor sailor combined with a sleek low profile passagemaker , the expedition yacht Swallow's Nest has shaped up admirably to the task. In terms of hull form, the Swallow's Nest is very much in the same family as our Greatheart designs, including the Greatheart 48 and Greatheart 60, each of which makes use of a ketch rig for "get-home" power and for the synergy of motor sailing when conditions favor. Greatheart 60 - The mission statement for this vessel was to fit the maximum accommodations that can be driven by the legendary Gardner 6 LXB diesel engine within a sleek low profile passagemaker. Yes, the Gardner is still available! As with the Greatheart 48, the Greatheart 60 makes use of a ketch rig for "get-home" power and for the synergy of motor sailing when conditions favor. Far Horizon 54 - An elegant trawler yacht in steel, intended for all-ocean voyaging. The interior is similar to the Far Horizon 5 0 , but with sufficient room for a private en-suite head in both owner's cabin and guest cabin.  The interior layout is ideally suited to accommodate two couples.  (Preliminary design information available please inquire .) Valdemar 53 - A two stateroom aluminum trawler-yacht with two cabins below for owners and guests, each having a private head, shower and tub. Additionally, there is a large "pilot berth" in the pilot house, arranged so it can be enclosed to create a third cabin for additional guests. This design is an extension of the Voyager 52 / Vagabond 50 / Vagrant 49 lineage. The aft deck provides a covered outdoor living area. Voyager 53 - A classic three stateroom steel trawler-yacht with two equal guest cabins below with private head, shower and tub. This design is an extension of the Vagabond 50 / Vagrant 49 lineage. A big aft deck provides a covered outdoor living area. Low house structures allow access throughout the European canal system. Study Drawings & Estimating Plans available; please inquire . Second Star 53 - A hull type well suited to use as a motor sailor, in this case detailed for use exclusively as a power vessel. The interior is intended for two plus another couple as guests. A large engine room and huge storage capacity... Rounded hull for construction in fiberglass . Deck and house structures are wood framed, with plywood, epoxy and glass sheathing. The interior is nearly identical to the Far Horizon 46 , but with sufficient room for an en-suite head in the guest cabin. The interior layout is ideally suited to a couple with two children, or a couple with guests. (Preliminary design information available please inquire .) Vagabond 50 - An all steel trawler-yacht with all primary living spaces above decks. Below, there is a private guest cabin and an office, in addition to the owner's stateroom. Two separate heads, one with a bathtub...! This design is an extension of the Greatheart lineage, but with a plumb stem in order to lengthen the waterline for more hull speed and to extend the interior. Larger and smaller preliminary motor yacht designs can be found on our Prototypes web page.   Robust 'Trawler' Yachts Under 50' Robust yet graceful family-oriented motor yachts from 30' to 60' are shown below, all of them designed to worldwide standards for safe passage making / voyaging. These vessel types have come to be called 'trawler-yachts.' Vagrant 49 - A classic steel trawler-yacht with two equal cabins below, each of which has its own head / shower. A flying bridge provides a second helm station and quite a generous outdoor living area. Low house structures allow access throughout the European canal system, even with the flying bridge. Please see the Plans List Page for a summary of Plan prices. Migrant 49 - Essentially the same as the Vagrant 49 above, having two equal staterooms below, each with private head & shower. For Migrant, we simply deleted the flying bridge... The interior, the structure and the hull form are otherwise identical to the Vagrant 49, above. Study Drawings & Estimating Plans available; please inquire . Ocean Runner 49 - A high class semi-planing yacht designed for dual use as a long range passagemaker or fast cruiser. Two staterooms, raised pilot house, European canal clearance, and just about every luxury imaginable. A number of excellent design images are posted here along with a thorough description of the vessel's particulars. Planned for aluminum construction, but fiberglass also possible. Please see the Plans List Page for a summary of Plan prices. Greatheart 48 - This is a trawler-yacht in the true "Beebe" tradition, but with a true ocean-worthy hull form. Long and lean for efficient passage making. As with the Boojum 43 , the Greatheart 48 design goal was to create the largest possible voyaging power vessel able to be driven by the commonly available four cylinder marine diesels. Two versions, both having the same layout, but with slightly different styling. Both have a dedicated engine room, '''midship pilot house, plus an excellent view from the galley! Gulliver 46 - The benefits of an aft house... a very spacious accommodation, privacy, and a striking appearance. Hull construction in steel or aluminum. Wood or fiberglass also possible. Please see the Plans List Page for a summary of Plan prices. Far Horizon 46 - A stout all-ocean trawler intended for steel or aluminum construction. The interior is similar to the Greatheart 48, but on a slightly shorter overall length. The idea here is to achieve an interior layout ideally suited to a couple with two children, or a couple with guests. (Preliminary design information available please inquire .) Roberta Jean 43 - The RJ 45 is another member of our Moxie family of interior designs (see 'Dream Yachts' below). However in terms of hull form, Roberta is a larger version of the robust all-ocean Buster 30 (below), and very much in the lineage of our Tug-Yacht designs from the 25' Boojum to the 38' Nidaros (see 'Tug Yachts' below). A covered aft deck provides shelter for outdoor lounging and the interior has all the amenities needed for a couple to live aboard for extended periods. Hull structure is optimized for aluminum. Steel, wood or fiberglass also possible. Study Drawings & Estimating Plans available; please inquire . Roberta 43 - Yet another member of the Moxie family of interior designs (see 'Dream Yachts' below). Roberta's hull form of is simply a larger version of our Buster 30 (below), an extension of our Tug-Yacht lineage from the 22.5' Boojum to the 38' Nidaros (see 'Tug Yachts' below). As with Moxie, the covered aft deck provides outdoor living, and the interior is perfect for a couple to live aboard. Roberta's structure is optimized for aluminum, although steel, wood or fiberglass is also possible with attendant design revisions. Study Drawings & Estimating Plans available; please inquire . Coaster 40 - A very roomy family trawler-yacht designed for extreme economy of construction, maintenance and operation. Two private staterooms. A second version is shown as well having a 'widebody' configuration for the galley and saloon area. Hull construction in aluminum. Wood or fiberglass also possible. The Molly prototype was developed as the smaller sister to the 43' Moxie . Molly has several of the same features of Moxie, but in a more economical size. The ideal canal boat? Very possibly! Please see the Plans List Page for a summary of Plan prices. Greatheart 36 - A pocket trawler-yacht with plenty of space for a small family. Trans Pacific range with a very seaworthy hull. Buster 30 - Robust, rugged, and ocean capable, this little trawler-yacht will be one tough little traveler! "Buster" is the perfect name for this boat, having a tug-like hull form with fantail stern and plumb bow. Hull construction in aluminum or steel. Wood or fiberglass also possible. Larger and smaller preliminary motor yacht designs can be found on our Prototypes web page.   'Dream' Yachts - A Distinctive Style These are my own favorite kind of motor yachts - designed for simplicity, economy, and style...! I call them 'dream-yachts' after their inspiration, the classic 'Dream Boats' of the 20's and 30's that plied the waters from Seattle to Juneau, Alaska. Seaworthy, yet very easily driven. Renegade 50 - Renegade is very nearly the same as the 49' Quinn, and in my view equally ideal... Same layout, with just a bit more headroom, more displacement, slightly greater beam for a bit of extra room inside, and subtly different profile... All other features are identical to the Quinn 49. Hull construction optimized for steel, therefore also aluminum. Wood or fiberglass equally possible. See the Plans List Page for a summary of Plan prices. Quinn 49 - Another member of the Moxie / Renegade family, Quinn is my own ideal type of motor yacht for simple, efficient coastwise cruising. As with Moxie, a classic gracefulness prevails. The covered aft deck is large enough for outdoor living, and the interior has all the amenities required for a couple who wish to live aboard for extended periods. As with Greatheart 48, the intent was to get the largest boat still able to be driven by the commonly available 4 cylinder marine diesels. Hull structure optimized for aluminum. The design was created for easy coastal and inshore cruising. Large aft deck for summer afternoons in the shade. Elegance and grace on the water! Hull construction ideal for aluminum. Nidaros 38 - Every bit a true Tug in her appearance, Nidaros is a larger version of Terrier, having more comfortable accommodations, a larger galley and dining area, plus greater privacy in the owner's stateroom. A bit more length for accommodations, and a bit more boat for greater carrying capacity and comfort at sea, but kept to 8.5 feet of beam in order to still be trailerable! Boojum is a World Cruising Trailerable Tug Yacht. Bilge keels for trailering and for taking the ground gracefully. Larger and smaller preliminary 'tug-yacht' designs can be found on our Prototypes web page.   Multi-hull Power Yachts A multi-hull is usually given a light and slender hull form in order to gain efficiency to operate on less power and use less fuel. If designed for high speed they must still be light, and must be given considerably more power... Twee Schoenen 35 (Power Cat) - A tunnel hull aluminum power catamaran, intended as a live-aboard cruiser. Sufficient fuel is provided for long passages at reduced speed. Please see the Plans List Page for a summary of Plan prices. 60' Power Trimaran - Aluminum, plywood or GRP... any of those materials would be suited to this power trimaran. A highly interesting design study having great potential. The original request was for a power tri with "traditional" styling. This is so-far just a concept design which was done to illustrate a vessel type that has considerable merit for long range cruising. Efficient passagemaking in spades... Why not...?   The Pram - The pram hull form has the most carrying ability within the least length. Being flat bottom, these sailing prams take the beach gracefully, and they are easily stowed. New Below Deck Med yacht HOME layout map and video tours

On the season premiere of Below Deck: Mediterranean Season 7, viewers are introduced to the crew that will be hosting the next few months of high seas drama on Bravo. It would be difficult to single out the sexiest new cast member this season, but it may just be the super-fine 50 meters of hybrid yacht hotness that is the M/Y Home!

The elegant Heesen superyacht was built in 2017 and was the Dutch shipbuilder’s first to be equipped with hybrid propulsion. “In this case ‘Hybrid’ means that the yacht can draw on two sources of power for propulsion: diesel mechanical and diesel electrical,” Heesen explains in their promotional brochure for Home . “Either or both sources can be used at the same time. This provides less noise and vibration, a more flexible power management which means better efficiency.”

Home measures 49.8 meters (163 feet, 4 inches) and has an overall beam of 9.1 meters (29 feet, 10 inches). It’s lightweight aluminum hull helps Home achieve a gross tonnage just under 500. Its max speed with a half load is 16.3 knots with diesel direct and 9 knots with diesel electric.

Moving on to the stats that are more relevant to casual Below Deck viewers, Home has accommodations for 9 crew members and 12 guests. There is a full-beam owner’s stateroom for Captain Sandy, one full-beam VIP guest suite, two double guest suites, and two twin guest suites.

I’m an avid Below Deck fan and I don’t feel like I ever have a very clear understanding of the layout on the boats featured on the various shows. To help myself (and other fans) during Below Deck Med Season 7, I’ve put together a map of the layout of M/Y Home that should help you imagine the 3D landscape in which all of the drama plays out.

I’ve color coded the different levels, starting with the sun deck (green) at the top and working down through the wheelhouse (pink), main deck (yellow) and lower deck (grey).

You will notice that the crew resides in the lower deck at the front (bow) of the boat. There are four small cabins, four bathrooms, and eight twin bunk beds. The crew mess is right next to the cabins in the lower deck.

The captain’s quarters is located on the wheelhouse level and has a door that opens directly into the bridge.

The charter guest master suite is located on the main deck. I was surprised to see that the Home’s galley (kitchen) is right on the other side of the wall from the master suite bathroom.

One question I have after checking out the Home layout is where the engineer(s) sleeps? Also, I thought production takes a room to set up their equipment? The chef, three stews, and four deck crew members take up all eight crew bunks, right? If I figure out answers to these questions I will update this post for clarification.

Yes, You Can Really Charter Below Deck Med ’s New Superyacht, Home

Renting or buying Season 7’s new vessel won’t come cheap though.

When Captain Sandy Yawn and her all-new crew set sail on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7, they’ll be in uncharted territory aboard a new superyacht, Home . While cruising the pristine waters of Malta, Captain Sandy was working for the first time on the 163-foot motor yacht, which Bravo described as a “complex hybrid vessel” that the Below Deck Med vet found to be “more unpredictable to navigate.” As the show’s Season 7 trailer previewed, Home won’t make it through the charters entirely unscathed either: In one clip, Captain Sandy laments that she hit something for the first time in her career, while another scene teases a potential “crashing” incident.

Rest assured that there weren’t any serious accidents because Home is currently available for charter in the Caribbean region at a cost ranging from $245,000 to $273,000 per week , depending on the season. Meanwhile, Home — the first diesel-electric motor yacht to appear on Below Deck — is also listed for sale with an asking price of just over $30.8 million. Per the listings, the superyacht, which Dutch shipyard Heesen built in 2017, sleeps up to 12 guests in six cabins and features contemporary, “Ibiza-style” decor. Among Home ’s many amenities are a large sun deck, jacuzzi, swim platform, air-conditioned gym, and sky lounge.

Home also sleeps up to 10 crew members. In Below Deck Med Season 7 , that includes Captain Sandy, returning Season 6 deckhand Mzi “Zee” Dempers, and newcomers: chief stew Natasha Webb, chef Dave White, bosun Raygan Tyler, stews Natalya Scudder and Kyle Viljoen, and deckhands Storm Smith and Jason Gaskell. Following her involvement in Hannah Ferrier’s mid-Season 5 firing, Malia White cited a scooter accident and pending exams — not fan backlash — as her reasons for not returning for Season 7. (“It’s not that I might never come back to the show,” Malia told Showbiz Cheat Sheet in May. “I’m just not on the next season.”)

Season 7’s “new boat with new department heads” might bring Captain Sandy some challenges during her “first time ever in Malta,” but she’s naturally ready to face them all head-on. The network also told viewers to expect “outrageous costumes, wild nights out, and some major inter-departmental drama,” which “doesn’t even cover what the charter guests are going to bring in the new season.”

As always, expect plenty of romance at sea, too. As Bravo’s first look teased, “boatmances” will be a major topic of conversation this season, including flirtations between Natalya and Storm, as well as several questions about the true nature of Natasha and Dave’s relationship. There could even be a fling between a crew member and a charter guest, too. Though Bravo is premiering the series on July 11, Peacock subscribers can access new Below Deck Med Season 7 episodes a week early beginning July 4.

Fans can also experience Home for themselves off-screen — but it will cost way more than their monthly cable bills.

• Deck Plans – Motor Yacht Tucano

Decks and Stateroom Locations

Below are diagrams of each of the three decks of Tucano. Passenger staterooms are indicated by drawn beds. Note the symbol for windows - there are lots of them!  Most of them can be opened permitting the Amazon breeze scented with blossoms to waft into the staterooms, (unless you choose to close them and the curtains too).

All of the 9 staterooms on Tucano are outside facing the river, with large windows and private bathrooms. Each staterooms is air-conditioned with its own thermostat. All of the staterooms are comfortable and all have private baths. The Salon is at the front of the boat affording splendid views of the rainforest throughout the day. The Salon is also air-conditioned, though in the cool of the day we generally leave the windows open to breathe the fresh air scented by Amazon blossoms.

There are 3 categories of staterooms

All of the staterooms on the M/Y Tucano are outside staterooms with large windows, private baths with showers, and air-conditioning. There are three categories, named after the colors of Brasil: Yellow Category , Blue Category, and Green Category . These are color coded in the diagrams below. Observation Deck

From this deck the immensity of the Amazon becomes clear. From horizon to horizon we see forest and rivers, and almost completely undeveloped. We can appreciate how the all of world once was, a vast wilderness whose only sounds are the wind, the calls of animals, and the lapping of waves on remote uninhabited shores. It is a magnificent view and experience, and we are treated to it every day during the trip.

Middle Deck

The Mid-deck balcony has connecting doors to the Salon. It is a wonderful place to relax with a good book, sip a glass of wine, a soft drink or a beer, or simply to marvel at the splendor of the last great wilderness on Earth.

33m Custom Line motor yacht Pinnacle for sale

The 32.8-metre Custom Line motor yacht Pinnacle has joined the market with Will Bagshaw of Edmiston .

Launched in 2015, the GRP yacht has only been used privately and the broker said she benefits from "pristine maintenance" and is "primed for new ownership". Her design is by Zuccon International Project , who finished her interior in dark woods, and naval architecture by Ferretti Engineering Department .

Pinnacle sleeps 10 in five cabins, including a main-deck master suite and four guest cabins on the lower deck. There are three cabins for a crew of six forward.

A fold-out balcony to starboard makes for a fresh and airy open-plan main saloon and dining room. This is complemented by an upper deck saloon that boasts a glass-enclosed dining table aft, flowing out to the deck for a blend of indoor and outdoor living.

A Jacuzzi on the sundeck with sunloungers, barbecue and a bar give guests the chance to unwind while underway or at anchor, enjoying 360-degree views. Forward of the helm station on the foredeck are three sets of large sunpads for guests who like to look ahead.

The 184GT, RINA-classed yacht for sale is powered by a pair of 1,623hp MTU engines that give her a top speed of 17 knots, cruising speed of 12 knots and economical speed of 10 knots.

Lying in Queensland, Australia, Pinnacle is asking €5,700,000.
