As Far As You Can Sea: World’s Largest Superyachts

Multimillion-dollar mega yachts.

by Emma Treagus Published on February 2, 2024

At Luxe Digital, we independently research, review, and recommend products we love and that we think you will love, too. Learn more about how we curate the best products for you .

With onboard swimming pools, cinemas, helicopter landing pads, and spas, the world’s largest superyachts have more facilities than your ‘average’ five-star hotel.

Owned by some of the world’s wealthiest people—along with a few anonymous owners who’d prefer to keep their luxury transport a secret—these mega yachts redefine the word “boat” into something indescribably sleek, stylish, and seriously impressive.

If superyachts are your thing, you’ll want to read on for all the facts and figures on all of the largest yachts in the world.

The 26 largest yachts in the world

Multimillion-dollar mega yachts: our ranking methodology.

A superyacht or mega yacht is typically a motor yacht or sailing yacht with a length of 30 meters (100 feet) or more. For this ranking, we looked at the superyachts and luxury expedition mega yachts that are used privately or made available for charter. We excluded so-called ‘residential superyachts’ (think Njord and The World), which are essentially luxury apartment buildings at sea where people own private residences inside the superyacht rather than the whole yacht. By researching diverse, reliable sources like Wikipedia and the Superyacht Times, we compile a list of the largest yachts in the world.

Curious about other striking superlatives? Check our round-up of the most expensive cars in the world and the most expensive private jets in the world . They are both perfectly good alternatives to owning a yacht. And if you prefer to stay home, we’ve ranked the biggest homes and the most expensive houses in the world to give you some inspiration too.

26. Y721 (aka Koru) | 417 feet—127m

largest super yachts world y721 aka koru by oceanic - Luxe Digital

Ever wonder where Jeff Bezos spends his downtime? As of today, we’re predicting it to be on his $500 million superyacht. Y721—nicknamed Koru—is 127m long. And featuring three sky-high slender masts, Koru is said to be the largest sailing yacht in the world .

With dark exteriors and natural wooden decks, Koru is inspired by another one of Bezos’ yachts—the Black Pearl. The clean lines and classically curved bow speak to an understated elegance despite the yacht’s mammoth size. While a long line of portals indicates at least 9 guest cabins. In light of all the secrecy surrounding Koru, we doubt Bezos will ever charter her out, but we can still dream.

25. Al Mirqab | 436 feet—133m

largest super yachts world serene al mirqab - Luxe Digital

Adorned with cascading chandeliers and gold accents, Al Mirqab is renowned for its unrivaled interiors. Surrounded by suspended glass artworks, a grand staircase floats throughout the four floors. And inspired by authentic Arabian styles, the magnificent superyacht is reminiscent of a magic carpet ride through the seas .

Built for the former Prime Minister of Qatar, Peterswerft-Kusch spared no expense in delivering Al Mirqab to an impossibly high standard for luxury. The large swimming pool is a standout feature as it opens up into the sea, creating the ultimate playground for adults. Al Mirqab has a capacity for up to 60 guests and is manned by an equal number of crew. Although you have to be invited by the politician himself as Al Mirqab isn’t available for private charter.

24. Serene | 439 feet—134m

Adeptly named, the magnificent superyacht embodies the serenity of a life at sea. Serene was built in Italy for a Russian owner in 2011. She was leased to Bill Gates for the Summer in 2014 for $5 million per week.

Designed by Reymond Langton, the 134m mega yacht marries elegant sophistication with state-of-the-art technologies. The seven decks leave ample space for guests to soak in scintillating views. While the underwater viewing room—nicknamed the Nemo room—is a permanent gallery of resplendent sealife. The real-life snow room makes up to four inches of snow. And whilst this may seem odd when your billionaire boss asks for snow—you make it snow.

23. Crescent | 445 feet – 136 m

largest yachts crescent - Luxe Digital

Yet another Lurssen masterpiece, Crescent pays homage to classic naval designs with traditional architecture and elegant interiors. Formerly named Project Thunder, she was built in Germany and delivered to Igor Sechin in 2018. The Russian oligarch’s superyacht was seized by Spain after sanctions were placed on Russia in 2022.

Crescent features low bulwarks and full-height windows to maximize the view from the center of the boat. Her distinctive wing station provides unrivaled views for up to 18 guests. But don’t get your hopes up—Crescent is strictly for private use only and isn’t available for charter.

22. Savarona | 446 feet – 136m

largest yachts savarona - Luxe Digital

Savarona is the second-largest yacht built by Blohm & Voss and spends most of her time in the Mediterranean. This luxury superyacht is one of the oldest in the market — a perfect fusion of traditional charm and modern facilities.

Previously named Gunes Dil, Savarona was designed by Cox & Stevens, with interior design carefully handled by Donald Starkey. She’s available to charter on a weekly basis and has been refurbished over the years. Back in the day, her cost price was $4 million, and in 1989, she was chartered by Kahraman Sadikoglu, owner of the Turkish Sadikoglu Group, who spent an estimated $50 million on refurbishing her from top to bottom.

21. Flying Fox | 446 feet – 136m

largest yachts flying fox - Luxe Digital

Flying Fox is known as the most expensive charter yacht in the world , and a week aboard will set you back around $3 million. Chartered by the one and only power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z in 2021, it’s filled to the brim with all of the luxury facilities you could ever possibly want.

The Flying Fox is rumored to be owned by Jeff Bezos, although that’s a claim that’s never been totally certified. She spends most of her time in the Mediterranean, specifically Cannes, Capri, and Sardinia, although she’s recently visited Norway, too. She can accommodate the largest helicopters on the market, and it reportedly took more than 50 meetings with her owner for interior design to be completed.

20. Rising Sun | 454 feet – 138m

largest yachts rising sun - Luxe Digital

The Rising Sun’s original owner, Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle Corporation, sold her in 2010 as he considered her too large. Famously used by David Geffen for self-isolation, Rising Sun has also been a popular hang-out spot for celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Beatrice, the Princess of York.

She’s a Superyacht with impressive attention to detail like interiors kitted out in teak and onyx and endless features like a full gym , a large wine cellar, a sauna, and a spa. She’s got a full-size basketball court that doubles up as a helicopter landing pad and a private cinema for those long evenings spent at sea.

19. Al Salamah | 457 feet – 139m

largest yachts al salamah - Luxe Digital

Al Salamah is part of the Omani Royal fleet and started her very secretive life in Genoa. Known as the world’s biggest superyacht right up until 2016, she’s a sleek masterpiece of a ship, with a distinctive cream color and beach club design.

Al Salamah does everything in multiples, from the five galleys onboard (the main galley, a bakery, a crew galley, an owner’s diet galley, and an Arab galley), three hospitals (one for the owner, one for guests, and one for the crew) and 2,000 sqm of floor space. She was put on sale briefly for $280 million USD, before being delisted and instead given as a gift to the Crown Prince of Bahrain.

18. Solaris | 458 feet – 139m

largest yachts solaris - Luxe Digital

Everything about Solaris was supposed to be kept a secret when she was being built—a secret that didn’t last long when her huge size was spotted undergoing sea trials in the North Sea. One of this Superyacht’s main attractions is her beach club on the top floor: the perfect spot for relaxation during those long days out at sea.

That beach club comes complemented with endless other stylish amenities, like a large helipad, sun deck, and a crane to launch tenders, toys, and subs. Interior design is largely unknown, but, if it’s anything as sleek and white as its exteriors, it’s sure to be impressive.

17. Scheherazade | 459 feet – 140m

largest yachts scheherazade - Luxe Digital

Two helicopter landing pads, two outdoor Jacuzzis, and two outdoor fire pits: Scheherazade doesn’t hold back with not only the essentials but also the luxuries. Previously named Lightning, “Scheherazade” is mostly associated with a female character in the Middle Eastern folk tales in the series One Thousand and One Nights.

Not much is known about this superyacht, and even her birth and building process were referred to under a codename: Project Lightning. No one involved in her creation, even Lurssen, has revealed anything about her interiors or her owner. All that’s really known is that she sailed from Germany to Norway initially after completion.

16. Ocean Victory | 460 feet – 140m

largest yachts ocean victory - Luxe Digital

Ocean Victory has traveled all over the world, from Europe to Southeast Asia and back again. Owned by Russian billionaire Viktor Rashnikov, she’s the upgraded vessel to follow his purchase of the 76-meter Ebony Shine.

She’s one designed with pure luxury in mind, from the six individual swimming pools onboard to the 300-square meter spa area. She’s beautiful both inside and out, with a unique concept designed by Espen Oeino and interior designer Alberto Pinto. The largest superyacht ever built in Italy, Ocean Victory shows some of the finest in the world when it comes to premium quality adventures at sea.

15. Yas | 463 feet – 141m

largest yachts yas - Luxe Digital

Yas is known best for its seamless and rather unusual design — one that’s a little different from most superyachts out there. The owner of Yas wanted a yacht that lived up to his own heritage; one with a backbone reminiscent of the navy and with abstract lines throughout.

He chose an existing boat in Abu Dhabi, which was deconstructed within the region before being shipped off and renovated into the wonder that it is today. The Yas yacht was originally a Dutch navy frigate, which you’d never guess from strolling around onboard today.

14. Nord | 465 feet – 142m

largest yachts nord - Luxe Digital

Nord’s distinctive bow design has never been seen before on a yacht. That’s one of the first things you’ll notice about her. The next thing you’ll notice is her unusual design, which verges on battle-esque and has been called “ a warship wearing a tuxedo ” by Dan Lenard of the Italian design studio Nuvolari-Lenard.

She’s one of the best superyachts out there for fun, with a sports and diving center on the lower deck, a swimming pool higher up, overlooking the ocean, and a fleet of tenders. She was designed for global exploration: a yacht that will calmly cruise her way all across the world.

13. Sailing Yacht A | 469 feet—142.8m

Challenging the status quo and pushing design boundaries, Sailing Yacht A is an enigma. The sail-assisted superyacht was built in Germany and delivered to Russian tycoon Andrey Melnichenko in 2017. However, she was seized by the Italian police force, Guardia di Finanza, in 2022 after sanctions were placed on Russian businessmen following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Distinguished by soaring rotating carbon fiber masts, Nobiskrug’s hybrid approach to superyachts makes Sailing Yacht A more eco-conscious than other luxury yachts of her size. The u nderwater viewing pod molded into the keel speaks to her unrivaled innovation. And many balconies are enclosed by some of the largest pieces of curved glass ever made.

12. El Mahrousa | 478 feet – 146m

largest yachts el mahrousa - Luxe Digital

El Mahrousa had a few different names in her time, ranging from the translated “The Protected” to El Horreya, which in Arabic translates to “Freedom.” It’s not surprising that she’s had more than one name when you take into account her age. As the oldest superyacht in the world, she’s undergone a lot of restoration over time, including multiple lengthenings and faster engines.

She was renamed back to El Mahrousa in 2000 and gained even more recognition for being the first ship to cross the new Suez Canal extension in 2015. Back in her original days, she was built on the River Thames and took her first trip in 1867.

11. OK | 479 feet—146m

largest yachts ok - Luxe Digital

Delivered in Japan in 1982, OK is one of the largest and most unique superyachts in the world. Sprawling over 479 feet, the water giant is engineered to submerge almost seventy percent. This is accredited to the work done by Karmarine Shipyard. While the majority of the vessel was built by Oshima Shipping, it was privately converted to a semi-submersible yacht in Turkey.

The superlative finishing on OK superyacht was designed by Timur Bozca, winner of the Younger Designer of the Year award in 2015. The blueprint being as many games as possible. The extraordinary vessel has the uncanny ability to hold over seventy toys, including a sailing yacht, a sea plane, tenders, buggies and even a tennis court.

10. Opera | 480 feet—146.4m

largest yachts opera - Luxe Digital

Like many of the most majestic water titans, Opera was delivered by Lurssen in Germany and built for Abu Dhabi royalty. This time, the owner is Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, son of the founder of the United Arab Emirates. And while it may not be quite as astronomical as Lurssen’s previous builds—Azzam, Blue and Dilbar—the streamlined vessel is equally impressive onboard.

The three-story superyacht proves large enough for a pair of helipads and two swimming pools, amongst many other toys, while simultaneously making room for up to 48 guests and 80 crew members. When it comes to the interior, details are sparse, but we do know that it was designed by Terence Disdale, a London firm renowned for creating bespoke luxury spaces.

9. Prince Abdulaziz | 482 feet – 147m

largest yachts prince abdulaziz - Luxe Digital

The Prince Abdulaziz’s yacht was ordered by King Fahd, who named her after his son Prince Abdul Aziz. Now, she’s owned by his brother, Abdullah. Just one of the yachts owned by the Saudi royal family, she’s spotted frequently throughout Europe, especially in Cannes, where the royal family owns a property.

She’s been redecorated once — in 2007 — in a project that took 15 months to complete, without even taking into account the rest of the ship’s upkeep. The Prince Abdulaziz is known for its combination of bold colors and fusion of traditional and modern design, thanks to its influence from the late David Hicks.

8. A+ | 483 feet – 147m

largest yachts a plus - Luxe Digital

What do you do when the name “A” is already taken for your superyacht? Choose the next closest thing: A+. Previously named Topaz, this superyacht was the world’s fourth-largest luxury yacht when she was built, before being stripped of that particular title only a few years later.

Nevertheless, she’s a seriously impressive superyacht, with endless facilities like a large jacuzzi, double helicopter landing pads, a swimming pool with a swimming platform and underwater lights, as well as a fitness hall, cinema, and a large conference room. She’s also well equipped with water toys, like jet skis, inflatable boats, a catamaran, and even a mini-submarine.

7. Al Said | 508 feet – 155m

largest yachts al said - Luxe Digital

Another Superyacht built, shrouded in secrecy, Al-Said was referred to as “Project Sunflower” the entire time she was being created, right up until she was delivered to her owner in 2008. Not much is known about Al Said, from her movements through to her amenities — although she is known to have a huge concert room with space for a full 50-person orchestra.

Currently, she’s flying the flag of Oman and has spent a lot of time in its surrounding waters. Her interior was styled by British designer design house RWD, with exterior design being credited to Espen Oeino. When she was delivered to the Sultan of Oman, she replaced a previous ship of a smaller size.

6. Dilbar | 511 feet – 156m

largest yachts dilbar - Luxe Digital

Dilbar, or Project Omar, as it was originally known as, is another superyacht designed with the help of exterior expert Espen Oeino, but with interiors strikingly designed by Andrew Winch. Dilbar is famously known as the world’s largest yacht by gross tonnage (interior volume) but as the fifth-longest superyacht in the world.

She’s home to a spa pool and beach club, as well as a large private cinema, spacious cabins set high on the main deck, a spacious dining room, and a salon with its own piano. She’s just as classy and beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

5. Blue | 527 feet—160.6m

largest super yachts world blue lurssen - Luxe Digital

Sunday blues simply cease to exist on one of the world’s most extravagant superyachts. The elegant behemoth was built for member of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi and billionaire, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan in 2022. Valued at over $600 million, Blue is one of the most expensive superyachts in the world. And with a strong emphasis on the environment, this superyacht is also one of the most sustainable.

Blue strives to be as environmentally friendly as possible. She is equipped with a highly efficient Diesel-Electric Hybrid Propulsion Concept developed by Lürssen’s own engineering specialists. And the wastewater treatment plant allows water to be disposed of in drinking water quality.

4. Dubai | 531 feet – 162m

largest yachts dubai - Luxe Digital

Dubai had multiple names in the planning stages—including Panhandle, Platinum, and Golden Star. Owned by the ruler of Dubai, it was aptly named after its home country and comes with all of the luxurious amenities you’d expect from such a name.

The Dubai comes complete with a huge swimming pool and two jacuzzis. Further down, you’ll find a large dining room with striking blue and burgundy decor and space for up to 90 guests. Dubai usually spends her time moored at Sheikh Mohammed’s private island in front of his summer palace in Dubai. She’s basically the definition of a floating palace.

3. Eclipse | 533 feet – 162.5m

largest yachts eclipse - Luxe Digital

It took around five years for Eclipse to be built from start to finish. While she was always designed to be a huge, luxurious Superyacht, the focus was more on decking it out appropriately rather than breaking any records. An award-winning superyacht, she’s incredibly spacious, with endless rooms to explore and a sleek, neutral color palette running through.

The Eclipse’s owner, Roman Abramovich, was more focused on facilities: he wanted more than one helicopter pad and a large swimming pool, too. Other than that, designer Terry Disdale had free reign for the rest of the superyacht. It’s just as much a clean piece of architectural styling as it is a stunning experience on deck.

2. Fulk Al Salamah | 538 feet – 164m

largest yachts fulk al salamah - Luxe Digital

Fulk Al Salamah translates to “Ship of Peace” and that’s something that sounds like a given when you’ve taken a look at this superyacht’s incredible layout. Developed under the codename Project Saffron, Fulk Al Salamah is more of a support vessel than she is a typical superyacht.

While she might still come complete with all of the necessities for a particularly relaxing voyage, she’s more so known for being a transport ship for the Royal Navy of Oman. She’s also used as a sort of friendship boat — pun intended — and is often sailed across the world with the intention of strengthening ties with the Sultanate. In some ports, influential people are welcomed onboard.

1. Azzam | 590 feet – 181m

largest yachts azzam - Luxe Digital

Most superyachts in the top 10 category have a few mere inches between sizes, but the Azzam shoots far ahead with a large amount of extra length. The largest superyacht in the world, she was never designed to win the title — rather just to be a sleek and elegant vessel. Azzam was crafted backward, with the plans for her interior confirmed long before her exterior was fully signed off.

Her length only came to be as such to incorporate everything required for the interiors, which added an extra 35 meters to her overall size. She’s also designed to look smaller than she actually is, with a blend of indoor and outdoor living. It took more than 4,000 people to build Azzam , clocking up six million man-hours over a period of four years.

The most expensive yacht in the world

The fact that the History Supreme, the world’s most expensive superyacht, comes coated in gold, is only part of the reason for its high cost. A superyacht with a real-life Midas touch, it was sold to an anonymous Malaysian businessman for $4.8 billion.

Robert Kuok, the richest Malaysian businessman, is the rumored owner of History Supreme, but no one has confirmed for sure. The History Supreme also comes with plenty of other impressive touches: a master bedroom decked out in platinum, a wall feature made from meteoric stone, and a genuine T-Rex dinosaur bone, to add to the list.

She took three years to build from scratch and comes with 10,000 kilograms of solid gold and platinum. Other seriously luxe features are her 68 kilograms 24-carat gold Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium and a liquor bottle adorned with a rare 18.5-carat diamond . The base of the vessel comes wrapped in gold, too.

Oceanco Koru Superyacht

With a combined length of 2,929 feet, the world’s top 10 superyachts scheduled for delivery this year are moving away from the idea that yachting is about whose boat is bigger. The trend is now more about mission than size. This year’s launches will be wide ranging, from motoryachts to sailing vessels, explorers and even a giant sportfish.

The list includes offerings from German shipyard Lürssen , which has two 400-foot-plus yachts ready to splash this year, with noteworthy deliveries from other shipyards in Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands showcasing different definitions of design, power and performance.

Here are the yachts we can’t wait to see.

‘Koru’ (564 feet) Oceanco

world biggest yacht 2023

Jeff Bezos’ first yacht, Koru , was spotted last week on sea trials. The Amazon founder chose to make a bold design statement by commissioning the world’s largest sailing yacht, not to mention the longest pleasure vessel, motor or sail, ever from The Netherlands. Built by Oceanco, the titanic sailing machine is an incredible 3300 GT, powered by kinetic energy generated by the sails. Besides its massive length, its classic canoe stern, a double-deck wooden coach house and navy hull with a red stripe differentiate Koru from any other vessel on the water. The project remains hush-hush. Even the designers remain a secret.

‘Liva’ (387 feet, 1 inch) Abeking & Rasmussen

world biggest yacht 2023

Launched late last year and scheduled to be delivered in early 2023, Liva is the largest yacht built by Abeking to date, overtaking the German shipyard’s previous flagship Aviva by 65 feet. The French studio Joseph Dirand Architecture was commissioned to pen both the exterior and interior, which is reported to include a semi-submerged underwater observation room on the lower deck, a supersized pool, helipad, spa with sauna and beauty salon, and a lower-deck beach club.

‘Alchemy’ (216 feet, 5 inches) Rossinavi

world biggest yacht 2023

Commissioned by a private American client, the 216-foot multi-deck motoryacht Alchemy is one of three yachts to be launched by Italian shipyard Rossinavi in 2023. Exterior design is by Philippe Briand, with interior styling by Enrico Gobbi’s Team for Design. Little information has yet to be revealed, though it’s visible from images that the custom yacht features an axe bow, drop-down side terraces at the stern and large floor-to-ceiling windows that afford views from all levels.

Project Jag (400 feet) Lürssen

world biggest yacht 2023

The 400-foot displacement motoryacht known only as “Project Jag” is reported to be the owner’s third Lürssen. His most recent is Kismet . It is set for delivery in late 2023. Capable of sleeping 20 guests and 40 crew, the gigayacht is equipped with a helipad, spa, swimming pool, two cinemas, gym and storage for a sub. Italian design firm Nuvolari Lenard designed the steel yacht’s exterior, while UK studio Reymond Langton has crafted what is rumored to be a “bespoke homage to the owner’s lifestyle”—whatever that means.

Project Luminance (426 feet, 5 inches) Lürssen

world biggest yacht 2023

Project Luminance is a 426.5-foot motor yacht that Lürssen claims will be one of the largest and most technologically advanced boats in the world. It’s also the largest yacht due to deliver in 2023. Construction began in 2018, yet few details have been revealed. What we do know is that the seventh-largest project to ever come out of the German shipyard to date features state-of-the-art propulsion systems, advanced navigation and communication systems, as well as next-generation entertainment.

‘T52’ (170 feet) Baglietto

world biggest yacht 2023

The first model in Baglietto’s T52 line, which splashed in February 2023, features sleek lines and aerodynamic grills penned by Francesco Paszkowski Design. Power comes from a diesel-electric-hybrid propulsion system. The yacht celebrates outdoor space, including a large multi-level beach club at the stern with a fold-down transom, oversized sunbeds and a swimming pool with a floor that rises flush with the deck. Sliding windows on the upper deck convert space into an open-air sky lounge and a 78-foot sundeck with a glass-encased hot tub.

Project 406 (170 feet, 6 inches) Royal Huisman

world biggest yacht 2023

The Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman made its name building some of the world’s largest sailing yachts, including 296-foot Athena , but now it’s hitting the record books again with the impending launch of Project 406 , the world’s largest sportsfisherman. Naval architecture, exterior and interior are by Dutch studio Vripack. The firm gave the six-decked aluminum yacht a towering profile promising spectacular front-row views of the big game fishing action. The team balanced its height by a long bow, high bulwarks and uncluttered fishing cockpit.

‘Black Shark’ (252 feet, 6 inches) Nobiskrug

world biggest yacht 2023

Black Shark first began construction in 2019, but all work ceased when Nobiskrug later filed for insolvency. In March 2022, following the German shipyard’s acquisition by entrepreneur Lars Windhorst, work on Black Shark recommenced, with delivery set for 2023. The 252-foot boat, designed by Winch Design, gets its name from its predatory profile and mast shaped like a dorsal fin. A reverse bow, black matte hull and metallic silver superstructure will also help to enhance the marine connection.

‘Ultra G’ (196 feet, 8 inches) Heesen

world biggest yacht 2023

Heesen is renowned for building fast boats, so it’s no surprise that Ultra G , equipped with a propulsion package totaling 22,000 horsepower, with four water jets and a top speed of 37 knots. The Dutch yard hailed this as its most powerful project to date. The motoryacht was commissioned by an avid sportfisherman, with a fighting chair and storage for 40 rods. Entertainment was also a big mandate for the design, stretching from Samsung’s “The Wall” screen, an infinity pool, and a dedicated self-cleaning “dog park” for furry guests.

‘Maverick’ (145 feet, 3 inches) Cantiere delle Marche

world biggest yacht 2023

Maverick is the first Flexplorer 142 to soon be delivered by Cantiere delle Marche (CdM), bought by a young German who is a keen sailor and serial owner of both sailing boats and motoryachts. The owner’s itinerary will see him cruising the Mediterranean, before heading to the Northern latitudes to cross the Northwest Passage and put Hydro Tec’s bold exterior design and running surface to the test. Key features include a custom-built A-frame crane that sits flush on the deck when not in use, collapsible bulwarks that fold-down to reveal a 1,450-square-foot beach club, and an infinity pool at the transom.

Every year, shipyards from all corners of the globe strive to push the boundaries of superyacht design, delivering increasingly grandiose and awe-inspiring vessels. While the Samuda-built El Mahrousa held the title unchallenged for an astonishing 119 years, the 21st century has seen her descend down the pecking order, making way for even larger and more extravagant yachts. Currently, German shipyard Lürssen dominates the construction of supersized superyachts, boasting an impressive 13 out of the world’s top 25. However, this list is in a constant state of flux, with the 158-meter Blue breaking into the top five largest Yachts in the world 2023.

These colossal yachts, all measuring over 100 meters, are not only remarkable for their sheer size, but also for the extraordinary features they house both above and below deck. From submarines and helicopters to swimming pools, cinemas, and even science labs, the onboard amenities of these superyachts truly exemplify groundbreaking feats of engineering. Join us as we unveil our official list of the largest privately owned yachts in the world.

1. Azzam | 180.6m (Built in 2013 , Germany)

Azzam - The Largest Yacht in the world

In October 2013, Lürssen proudly delivered the world’s largest privately owned superyacht, Azzam. Originally planned to be 145 meters long, this remarkable vessel underwent optimization and grew to a staggering 180 meters. Azzam boasts an astonishing 13,000 GT, accommodating up to 36 guests and 80 crew members.

Commissioned by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan of Abu Dhabi’s royal family, Azzam serves as a dayboat for his diving excursions. Its opulent main saloon spans 522 square meters, designed with French Empire style and mother of pearl finishes by Christophe Leoni.

Azzam offers exceptional features, including a gym, pool, and a specialized ‘golf training room.’ Nauta Yacht Design handled the exteriors, while Mubarak Saad al Ahbabi oversaw technical engineering. Notably, Azzam’s innovative water-jet propulsion system enables a remarkable speed of 31.5 knots.

As the world’s largest yacht, Azzam held its status for nearly seven years. However, the 183-meter REV is set to surpass it. The REV promises to redefine luxury yachts, introducing new standards in size and grandeur. The yachting industry is on the brink of a new era, with REV poised to leave an indelible mark.

2. Eclipse | 162.5m (Built in 2010 , Germany)

After five years of intensive design, development, and construction, the magnificent superyacht Eclipse departed the Blohm + Voss yard in December 2010. This remarkable vessel held the prestigious title of the world’s largest superyacht for a mere three years before being dethroned by Azzam. Under the expert management of Blue Ocean Yacht Management, Eclipse boasts a cutting-edge diesel-electric propulsion system, with generators powering rotating Azipod drives.

Its exterior showcases a striking and captivating design, while the interior, masterfully crafted by London-based Terence Disdale Design, exudes elegance and sophistication. Terence Disdale Design has been responsible for every aspect of the aesthetic design and layout, including the superstructure design, deck layouts, interior design, and construction supervision. Eclipse’s exceptional qualities were recognized when it was crowned Motor Yacht of the Year at the World Superyacht Awards in 2011 and Motor Yacht of the Decade at the 10th World Superyacht Awards in 2015.

The accommodation on board Eclipse is truly remarkable, featuring an owner’s deck spanning an impressive 56 meters in length, as well as facilities to accommodate up to 92 crew members. The interior is adorned with hundreds of custom finishes, exclusively developed for this extraordinary project. The deck areas are equally impressive, boasting a 16-meter swimming pool that can be transformed into a captivating dance floor. Furthermore, Eclipse has the capability to accommodate three helicopters, with one helipad located on each side and a third stored in a hangar beneath the fore deck.

3. Dubai | 162m (Built in 2006 , United Arab Emirates)

Dubai yacht is one of the world's largest yachtes

The largest yachts in the world can be found in Dubai. Originally commissioned by Prince Jefri of Brunei, this magnificent vessel boasts stunning exterior styling and interior design by the talented Andrew Winch. However, the project faced a setback in 1998, leaving only the bare hull and partially complete superstructure. Fortunately, the Dubai government stepped in and took ownership of the yacht, entrusting Kostis Antonopoulos of Platinum Yachts to oversee its completion. Under his guidance, a new in-house interior design was crafted, and the project was finally finished in 2006. Dubbed “Dubai,” this yacht is fit for royalty, serving as the personal vessel of Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum of Dubai. The accommodation, expertly styled by Nakheel Interiors, can comfortably house up to 24 guests. It features an opulent owner’s suite, five luxurious VIP suites, and six elegant guest suites, all equipped with open balconies.

The yacht also boasts a remarkable 21.3-meter-wide atrium, a refreshing swimming pool, a delightful barbecue area, a state-of-the-art cinema, and a vibrant disco. Additionally, it offers a convenient landing platform for a Blackhawk helicopter, a fully-equipped gymnasium, and a spacious garage to house the yacht’s submarine and an extensive collection of water toys. In October 2006, Dubai obtained full certification from Lloyds Register of Shipping, allowing it to embark on numerous remarkable voyages. With a maximum speed of 25 knots, this majestic vessel effortlessly glides through the water, providing an unforgettable experience for its fortunate passengers.

4. Blue | 158m (2022, Germany)

world biggest yacht 2023

Taking its place at number four on the list of the world’s largest yachts, Lürssen’s Blue surpasses all other boats in terms of gross tonnage. This impressive vessel, built for a Middle Eastern owner, is only surpassed in internal space by the colossal Dilbar (15,917GT) and Al Said (15,850GT). Renowned designer Terence Disdale has crafted the exterior of Blue with classic lines, featuring a sleekly angled bow and gracefully curved decks. The main helipad is strategically positioned at the bow, while a smaller one can be found aft. Additional exterior highlights include a covered pool on the main deck aft, a bathing platform at the stern, and twin balconies flanking the owner’s cabin forward.

Blue’s interior design aims to exude timeless elegance with a touch of femininity, creating a deliberate contrast to its striking exterior. In terms of propulsion, Blue is equipped with a cutting-edge diesel-electric hybrid system developed in-house. This innovative system includes an electric Azimuth pod drive, allowing the boat to maneuver independently or in conjunction with the twin propeller shafts. To ensure a quiet and environmentally friendly experience, Blue is equipped with a state-of-the-art exhaust treatment system, effectively reducing noise, vibration, and NOx levels. Furthermore, the boat features advanced membrane technology that guarantees the treated waste water meets the quality standards for drinking water.

5. Dilbar | 156m (Built in 2016 , Germany)

Dilbar holds the world record for the largest yacht by gross tonnage, exceeding 15,000 GT. It was built by Lürssen and designed by Espen Øino. Uzbekistani billionaire Alisher Usmanov received the yacht in 2016 in the Mediterranean. Dilbar replaced Usmanov’s previous yacht, now named Ona, and often sails the waters of the South of France, northern Spain, and occasionally Cyprus.

Dilbar boasts impressive features: a record-breaking 180-cubic-meter swimming pool and a robust 30,000KW electric diesel power plant, contributing to its SOLAS-class classification. Lavish interiors designed by Winch Design can host up to 24 guests, served by a crew of nearly 100 members. The yacht also has two helipads, a vast 3,800-square-meter living space, and a sprawling garden adorned with salt air-resistant grass, created by visionary Axel Massmann. Dilbar’s distinctive buttery cream exterior ensures easy recognition at sea, and it can achieve an impressive top speed of 21 knots.

6. Al Said | 155m (Built in 2008 , Germany)

The Lloyd’s-classed vessel, known as Project Sunflower during its construction, was delivered by Lürssen’s Vegesack yard to its owner, Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said of Oman, in March 2008. With an impressive length of 155 meters, Al Said serves as the flagship of the Oman Royal Yacht Squadron. Designed by Espen Øino to resemble a classic cruise liner, this yacht proudly flies the Omani flag and calls Muttrah Harbour in Muscat its home port.

This Germanischer Lloyd-classed yacht, weighing 15,850GT, can reach an impressive top speed of 25 knots and reportedly accommodates a crew of 150. Its panelled interiors, designed in a traditional style by Jonathan Quinn Barnett, offer vast entertaining spaces and can house up to 65 guests. The yacht’s pièce de résistance is its on-board concert hall, capable of hosting a 50-member orchestra. In addition to this remarkable feature, the yacht boasts a helipad and a cinema across its six decks.

7. El Mahrousa | 150.6m (Built in 1865 , United Kingdom)

El Mahrousa 150.6m largest Yacht

El Mahrousa, originally constructed by the Samuda Brothers shipyard in 1865, held the prestigious title of the world’s longest yacht for over a century until it was dethroned by the delivery of Prince Abdulaziz in the 1980s. Initially commissioned by the Ottoman governor of Egypt, Khedive Ismail, this magnificent vessel was primarily designed to accommodate visiting dignitaries. Notably, El Mahrousa played a significant role in history as it graced the opening ceremony of the Suez Canal in 1869, serving as a reception point for esteemed guests. Throughout its lifetime, El Mahrousa underwent several modifications to enhance its capabilities. In 1872, the yacht was extended by 12.1 meters, resulting in the removal of its paddle wheels. Another extension of 5.2 meters followed in 1905. However, the most notable overhaul occurred in 1950, marking its last major rebuild. One of the remarkable moments in El Mahrousa’s history was its participation in the Bicentennial Fleet Review in New York Harbor in 1976, representing Egypt. Unfortunately, following this event, the yacht fell into a state of disrepair while serving as a museum ship. In 1992, a significant effort was made to restore its seaworthiness, enabling it to embark on a journey to Italy for the Christopher Columbus Fleet Review.

Presently, El Mahrousa serves as the Egyptian Presidential Yacht, although it rarely makes public appearances. It finds its home in Alexandria, where it is diligently cared for by the Egyptian Navy, who designates it as a training ship. Equipped with three powerful Parsons steam turbines, this majestic vessel can reach an impressive top speed of 16 knots.

8. A+ | 147.3m (Built in 2012 , Germany)

Formerly known as Topaz, the A+ is a stunning superyacht designed by Tim Heywood and launched by Lürssen in 2012. What sets this vessel apart is the unique feature of Heywood’s signature illuminated on her superstructure. Despite flying the Cayman flag, the A+ is owned by a member of the UAE elite, reportedly Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan, who is also the owner of the renowned UK football club, Manchester City.

This magnificent 147.25-meter superyacht has had the privilege of being chartered twice by the Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio. It boasts a helicopter landing pad located at the bow, adding to its allure and functionality. The interiors of the A+ have been meticulously designed by Terence Disdale, ensuring a luxurious and opulent experience for its guests. However, much of the information regarding this superyacht remains shrouded in secrecy, adding an air of mystery and exclusivity to its allure.

9. Prince Abdulaziz | 147m (Built in 1984 , Denmark)

Prince Abdulaziz yacht

The Prince Abdulaziz, weighing 5,200 tonnes, was delivered to her first owner, King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, in 1984 by the Danish shipyard Helsingor Vaerft. Since then, this majestic vessel has faithfully served the Saudi royal family and is currently berthed alongside the king’s palace in Jeddah. Over the years, the Prince Abdulaziz has undergone three refits, in 1987, 1996, and 2005. Constructed at a staggering cost of $184 million, the Prince Abdulaziz was designed by Maierform. Its interior, masterfully crafted by the late David Hicks, seamlessly blends ancient and modern elements. One particularly striking feature is the grand lobby, meticulously designed to emulate the iconic Titanic. This opulent yacht boasts a hospital, a mosque, and even a cinema. Rumors have also circulated about the presence of surface-to-air missiles and an underwater surveillance system on board. With a capacity to accommodate up to 64 guests, the Prince Abdulaziz is manned by a dedicated crew of 65 individuals.

10. OK Yacht | 146m (1982, Japan)

OK Yacht

OK has recently undergone a comprehensive refit to transform it into a private vessel. This unique ship has spent many years serving as a yacht carrier for DYT Yacht Transport under the less glamorous name Super Servant 3 – and it is precisely this carrying capability that caught the attention of the owner.

Now, four decades after its initial launch by Japan’s Oshima Shipbuilding, the yacht has emerged from a thorough refit at Karmarine in Turkey. The exterior has been revitalized with a sleek matte-black paint job, gold-tinted windows, teak decking on the bow, stern, and sides, and a vast expanse of artificial grass on the submersible aft deck. This addition was the owner’s idea to enhance the view from the guest cabins. There are even rumors that this space doubles as a tennis court, and with its impressive dimensions of 32 meters by 100 meters, it certainly has the space to accommodate such activities.

The boat’s original purpose as a yacht carrier has been further improved with a reinforced hull. By pumping ballast into tanks beneath the aft deck, the platform can be lowered, allowing the owner’s 46-meter ketch to be floated on board and secured. Additionally, there is a 40-tonne crane for positioning other recreational vehicles – reportedly up to 70 of them, ranging from launches and cars to a seaplane.

Under the guidance of Bozca Design, Karmarine has completely renovated the accommodation area at the front of the yacht. It now boasts cabins for up to 20 guests, a glass-enclosed sundeck spa pool, a lush “botanical” garden, and an outdoor cinema. The elevator that connects the different decks runs through a glass tower located outside the main structure.

Overall, OK has undergone a remarkable transformation, combining its original functionality as a yacht carrier with luxurious amenities and a visually stunning appearance

11. Sailing Yacht A | 142.8m (Built in 2017 , Germany)

Sailing Yacht A 142.8m Built in 2017 , Germany

This magnificent vessel, designed by Philippe Starck, is the second superyacht commissioned by the esteemed Russian businessman, Andrey Melnichenko, following his first creation, the Motor Yacht A. Crafted with precision and expertise at the renowned Nobiskrug yard in Germany, this masterpiece was delivered in February 2017.

Driven by a relentless pursuit of innovation, Melnichenko urged his team to create a sail-assisted yacht that would surpass all others. The result is the awe-inspiring Sailing Yacht A, boasting an impressive eight decks and towering curved carbon fiber masts that reach a staggering height of 100 meters. With a sail area spanning 3,747 square meters, this vessel is expertly manned by a crew of 54 individuals.

Setting new standards in luxury and design, Sailing Yacht A features a remarkable underwater viewing pod seamlessly integrated into its keel, allowing guests to marvel at the wonders of the deep. The balconies, enclosed by the largest pieces of curved glass ever created, provide an unparalleled panoramic view of the surrounding seascape. Additionally, the hull of this extraordinary yacht boasts 24 shell doors, while its diesel-electric power plant, controlled by state-of-the-art computer systems, ensures optimal performance.

Setting records in the world of superyachts, the Starck-designed masterpiece proudly boasts the tallest carbon masts ever constructed, with the tallest reaching an astonishing height of 100 meters above sea level.

12. Nord | 142m (Built in 2021 , Germany)

Nord | 142m Long Largest Yacht

Nord, formerly known as Project Redwood and Opus, has an intriguing origin story that was previously shrouded in secrecy. Build manager Rob Moran has shared exclusive insights with BOAT International.

Nord boasts an Ice Class hull, perfect for genuine exploration. Its sleek aluminum superstructure spans four decks and features a striking black-painted arch, a key design element by Nuvolari Lenard. Nord stands out with not one, but two helipads. Additionally, it has a spacious beach club and tender garage, accommodating numerous toys, including 16 tenders, a submarine, and an ROV, as disclosed by Moran. The largest tender measures an impressive 15 meters LOA, and the lower deck houses a dedicated watersports and dive center. Nord’s aircraft carrier bow boasts a convenient touch-and-go helipad, while the bridge deck offers a larger space for the owner’s helicopter, complete with landing, parking, bunkering facilities, and a hangar for added protection on longer voyages.

Nord features an exceptional 25-meter swimming pool on the main deck aft, along with a luxurious spa pool on the upper deck. Its exterior has a masculine aesthetic, featuring imposing bridge wings and four satellite domes on the mast. The interior is equally impressive, with a state-of-the-art gym, spa, sauna, and an entire deck dedicated to the owner’s comfort. The vessel can accommodate up to 36 guests in 20 opulent suites.

In summary, Nord combines rugged exploration capabilities with luxurious amenities, meticulously designed for an unforgettable cruising experience.”

Lürssen created a 156-meter superyacht named DILBAR in 2016. Espen Ino gave her a traditional shape and a light ivory hull when he designed her outside. Lürssen says that DILBAR, which is 156 meters long and weighs 15,917 tons , is one of the biggest and most technologically advanced yachts ever built.

Dilbar has a speed of 22.5 knots due to technological advancements and a 30,000-kilowatt diesel-electric power plant. She has two places for helicopters to land and a 25-meter-long swimming pool, the largest one ever built on a yacht. Dilbar is owned by Russia’s richest businessman, Alisher Usmanov.

The project was restarted under the supervision of the new owner, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (the ruler of Dubai), and Platinum Yachts. In 2006, the yacht was completed. Four MTU diesel engines give her a top speed of 26.0 knots and a cruising speed of 22.0.

She can carry 48 passengers in 22 cabins. She weighs 12488.0 GT gross and has a beam length of 22.0 m. It has seven decks, a helipad, a garage for submarines, a nightclub, a movie theater, and an atrium.

They made custom interior finishes for the Eclipse. The hull and superstructure of the Eclipse are made of steel and aluminum. She is propelled by four MTU engines, which allow her to reach a top speed of 25.0 knots and a cruising speed of 22.0 knots.

There are 24 guest cabins on board, interior swimming pools and hot tubs, a disco, a gym, a spa, and a working submarine. Eclipse has won many awards, including “Motor Yacht of the Decade” at the 2015 World Superyacht Awards.

Length : 180 Meters Owner : Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Launch : 2013

Azzam is the world’s largest private yacht. This superyacht was built by Lürssen Yachts in 2013 and is now owned by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. It cost more than $600 million to build.

Azzam has a beam of 20.8 meters (68 feet) and a draft of 4.3 meters, which is unusually shallow (14 feet). The outside of this ship was made by Nauta Design to look sleek and timeless while making it look smaller than it is. The 9,000 kW MTU engines give her a long-distance speed of 18 knots and a top speed of 33 knots.

It can hold up to 80 crew members and 36 guests. Most of the interior design is a mystery, but some wood furniture is said to have beautiful mother-of-pearl marquetry on the surface. A gym, pool, and golf training area are also available inside the yacht.

Many people’s top wish lists would include a yacht if they had the money to buy one. Millionaires and billionaires often own yachts to show off how much money they have. In their minds, the bigger the yacht, the better. Entertainment firms also use superyachts to attract wealthy passengers looking for a rich experience.

These features frequently increase their owners’ enjoyment and sense of luxury. But yachts, which are very valuable from an economic and social point of view, can help create jobs and boost the economies of travel destinations while giving people a unique way to spend their free time.As of 2023, the Azzam holds the record for being the longest yacht in the world.

Out of these 10 largest yachts in the world, let us know which one you find fascinating!

Why Are The World's Most Expensive Yachts Built?

The most expensive yachts are usually ordered by company executives and economically driven people around the world. After the orders given to the manufacturers, the yacht manufacturing process in accordance with the individual and market criteria begins. However, many business people dedicate luxury yachts to leasing and luxury yacht tourism instead of using them individually. In a sense, the number of people who see it as a new investment area can be said to be quite large.

Luxury yachts meet at a common point in terms of emergency transportation in case of sailing. The helipad and the fact that it offers many accommodation opportunities also provide advantages for other business partners. Some investors may sell their own luxury yacht orders to other buyers at better prices in the future. Tourism companies can also make room for the luxury yacht trade, which is among the effective investments for profit.

As with all vehicles, updates are also effective in the luxury yacht market. If you want to learn about new yacht prices, you can do a more comprehensive research. Especially since the changing economic balances after the epidemic period affect every market, luxury sea vehicles will also have their share.

For our article about the most expensive yacht models in the world, you can make new evaluations according to 2023 and the next years.

A look at the most expensive superyachts at the Palm Beach yacht show and their insane features, from basketball courts on deck to ice baths and saunas

  • The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.
  • Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.
  • These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

Insider Today

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocketed potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to charter in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and nearby marinas, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter) Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

She also boasts a treasure trove of water toys, including Jet Skis, jetsurfs, inflatable kayaks, and scuba equipment.

Casino Royale: 72 meters

Price: TBD Special Features: Infinity pool, helipad, private jacuzzi

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

However, the boat's price isn't listed, and while she's not necessarily officially for sale, that might change depending on who's prepared to buy, Mr. Bond.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter) Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter) Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000 Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.

  • Lurssen Yachts

On the 5th April 2013 Lürssen, the leading shipyard for large luxury yacht building, launched the 180m yacht AZZAM - the largest motor yacht in the world. The sleek and elegant superyacht features exterior design by Nauta Design.

Fulk Al Salamah

  • Mariotti Yachts

This 164-metre (538ft) superyacht was built in Italy by Mariotti Yachts and now sits in the Omani capital as part of the royal fleet. The Italian built superyacht is currently the second largest privately owned yacht in the world, after Lurssen's Azzam.

  • Blohm + Voss

Roman Abramovich's yacht Eclipse has received a huge amount of industry attention, not just for its size but for the celebrity of its owner. Eclipse is the largest and most expensive superyacht ever built. When initially ordered she was estimated to cost approximately £330million, by the time she was delivered however, her overall costs were closer to the £1billion mark due to the extra luxury fittings and security measures required by her owner. With a crew of up to 60, Eclipse is a giant of the sea. She was the fourth superyacht comissioned by Abramovich.

  • Platinum Yachts

This magnificent yacht was originally commissioned by Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei. Construction was suspended in 1998 and the vessel left unfinished until HH Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum secured the rumoured $300 million project. Platinum Yachts took the mega yacht to completion and in 2006 launched Dubai to become the world’s largest private yacht. Today however, Dubai is the second largest privately owned yacht in the world.

Launched in February 2022, Project Blue is Lurssen's latest secretive yacht project. With little revealed about her specifications and designers, her expansive size was confirmed by the German shipyard following her launch: an incredible 160m. Project Blue will be Lurssen's second-largest superyacht, and is due to be delivered in 2023. She was recently spotted in Bremerhaven, Germany, making her way out to sea for her maiden sea trial. She is expected to have a beam of 21m, and a gross tonnage of 15,320 GT. Her other specifications are currently unknown.

Originally known as Project Omar, the 156 metre superyacht Dilbar was launched in 2016 after over 4 years of construction. A favourite with yachtspotters worldwide, Dilbar is considered the largest superyacht in the world by volume.

Like most royal superyachts, little is known about Al Said, a giant mega yacht formerly codenamed "Project Sunflower". She was delivered to the Sultan of Oman in 2008 as a replacement for a smaller mega yacht of the same name. At a stunning 155m, Al Said consists of six large decks and features striking exterior and interior design by Espen Oeino International, the same company that designed the stunning 127m mega yacht Octopus. According to reports, Al Said is said to accommodate as many as 70 guests and 154 professional crew, as well as featuring a concert room capable of accommodating a 50 piece orchestra.

When construction of A+ (formerly named Topaz) first began she was forecast to be the 4th largest yacht in the world and to measure approximately 147m (482’3’’ft). Having left her floating shed at the Lürssen shipyard located in Bremen, Germany, she is now ready to claim that mantle and undergo the final phases of construction.

Prince Abdulaziz

  • Helsingor Vaerft

As one of the yachts of the Saudi Royal Family, Prince Abdulaziz is used to conduct official business as well as for pleasure. The largest yacht built in the 20th century, the interior alone took 15 months to complete. Originally built for the late King Fahd of Saudi Arabia who named the yacht after his son, it is now owned by his brother Abddullah.

Very little is known about Lurssen's mysterious superyacht OPERA. At 146m, the superyacht will be the sixth largest yacht Lurssen has built at the time of her launch in September 2022. OPERA was first spotted in May 2021 when she transported to the yard's Bremen outfitting facilities in Germany.

El Mahrousa

  • Samuda Bros.

This Egyptian presidential yacht is not only one of the world’s largest but also one of the oldest. Built in 1865 in London, the yacht was intended for the King of Egypt. Originally named Mahroussa, El Horriya was extended in 1872 and again in 1905.  Nowadays she is berthed in Alexandria and is listed as a training ship by the Egyptian Navy.

Developed by German shipyard Lürssen, construction of Project Luminance is underway at their facilities near Lemwerder. Due to enter the esteemed list of the Top 10 largest superyachts in the world, information about the 145m superyacht is limited at this moment in time. Lürssen are world-famous for their incredible innovations and their capacity to build extremely large mega yachts filled with numerous features. Photos that have been captured of the boat indicate that she will have considerable deck space with plenty of room left over indoors to be packed out with luxury.

SAILING YACHT A

Sailing Yacht A is a highly unique vessel, with an LOA of 142.81m. She is one of the world’s largest and the most advanced superyachts with a number of unique features, including an underwater observation pod, hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system and premium navigation systems. Her three masts are the tallest and most highly loaded freestanding composite structures in the world. Her futuristic design was created by Philippe Starck, her smooth silver-metallic surfaces challenging the expectations of conventional aesthetics.

As one of the most well-known builders of Top 100 yachts, Lurssen's NORD (formerly Opus and Redwood) has been highly anticipated as one of the largest ever to launch from the German yard. Also the largest project set to launch in 2020, at 142m, she will accommodate up to 36 guests in 20 cabins and was designed by Nuvolari Lenard.

  • ADMShipyards

The 141m superyacht Swift141, now christened 'Yas', was successfully launched by ADMShipyards in November 2011; entering the record books as both the largest launch of 2011 and most significant superyacht in recent history. ADMShipyards, members of Privinvest, has proudly announced the launch of their first superyacht. At 141 meters, this stunning private yacht ranks as the sixth largest superyacht in the world.

  • Lloyd Werft

Project Solaris is the revolutionary explorer yacht built by German masters of engineering Lloyd Werft. Topping off the yard's record for ultra large luxury yacht build, Project Solaris is an estimated 139m+ explorer yacht at the German giant's shed.

Scheherezade

As with most yachts in construction at Lurssen, little is known about this 140m project. We do not yet know the designer or architect, but she has been spotted moving around the build-hall. Her sightings have lead yacht spotters on the docks of the yard to aptly name her 'Project Lightning.' We hope to see her launch towards the end of 2019.

Ocean Victory

  • Fincantieri Yachts

The largest yacht ever built in Italy and one of the ten largest in the world, Fincantieri has announced the successful delivery of Project Victory - a 140 metre superyacht launched in 2014 - under the official name of Ocean Victory.

Code named as Mipos (short for Mission Possible) during her construction, Al Salamah belongs to Saudi Arabian Defence Minister Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz. Kept a great secret, rumours tell that she has over 80 rooms, a helipad, and an indoor swimming pool complete with glass roof. A real working wonder, this yacht was completed in 1999 after only two years.

Owned by media bigwig David Geffen, Rising Sun is rumoured to have been commissioned by Ellison specifically to be larger than Paul Allen’s Octopus. This 2004 yacht is spread over five decks and is equipped with everything from Jacuzzi bathrooms and wine cellars to a top deck basketball court.

lexus expands LY680 yacht's swimming platform and flybridge to fit a barbecue grill on deck

Lexus expands ly680 luxury yacht’s flybridge.

At the Japan International Boat Show 2024, Lexus unveiled the 1/20 scale model of its new LY680 Luxury Yacht , an upgrade of the previous LY650 water vehicle . Lexus’ latest model comes with an expanded swimming platform and flybridge to accommodate more guests on deck. The extended flybridge, which measures 1,400mm, now features a spacious lounge area and a dedicated barbecue grill, while the swimming platform has been expanded by 700mm to accommodate additional guests who wish to take a dip in the sea.

When Lexus conceived the idea for its LY680 Luxury Yacht, even before its debut at the Japan International Boat Show 2024 , the design team aimed to create a water vehicle that would feel like a ‘tranquil hideaway at sea.’ They imagined it as a moving space where ‘discerning customers could feel free and at ease.’ The resulting concept was a three-level luxury yacht equipped with living spaces that make the LY680 feel like a deluxe apartment on the sea.

The passengers enter the Lexus’ LY680 Luxury Yacht, and when they descend, they can find a kidney-shaped sofa nestled in one corner. Adjacent to the sofa is a desk with a plush seat, tailored as a workspace at sea for those who still need to hustle. Panoramic windows adorn the space, offering views of the waters and allowing natural light to flood in. The use of dark, varnished wood adds a sense of opulence to the interior, and across from the sofa and desk, a semi-circular bed invites passengers to relax while watching the waves and scenery through slanted windows.

1/20 scale model at Japan International Boat Show 2024

Walking up to the control area, the captain of Lexus’ LY680 Luxury Yacht navigates the water vehicle with ease through the expansive set of windows. The openness of the space is further enhanced by plush seating, two of them reminiscent of cinema seats. Even the wooden floors help brighten up the overall aesthetic. During the Japan International Boat Show 2024, where yacht enthusiasts could view the 1/20 scale model of the LY680, Lexus revealed that the luxury yacht can accommodate up to 15 passengers across three rooms with six beds.

Twin Volvo engines for Lexus’ LY680 Luxury Yacht

For those interested in specifications, Lexus’ LY680 Luxury Yacht is expected to be equipped with Twin Volvo IPS 1350/1050 engines and have a fuel tank capacity of 4,012 liters and a fresh water tank capacity of 852 liters. Production of the luxury yacht will be carried out by the Horizon Group, based on the Toyota Production System. Lexus has announced that yacht enthusiasts can reserve their water vehicle model through Toyota Marine sales offices in Japan and select dealerships. As of publishing, Lexus aims to deliver the first batch of the LY680 Luxury Yacht in Spring 2026, with international availability pending based on customer demand.

Energy trader Vitol sees tight oil products market

The world's top energy trader Vitol (VITOLV.UL) said on Tuesday it saw a tight global oil products market as the Red Sea crisis and the rerouting of Russian products has pushed record volumes of oil products to be held on tankers at sea.

"While European road transport demand will begin to wane by the mid-2020s, in the near term we anticipate continued tightness in the market and an ongoing call on European refining," CEO Russell Hardy said in a statement on Tuesday.

He cited the rerouting of Russian crude oil and products away from Europe to India and China, and noted Europe has had to look further afield, most notably for gasoil.

The rerouting of Russian products and Houthi attacks in the Red Sea has resulted in all-time highs of oil products to be held "on-water", he said.

Vitol, the world's largest independent oil trader and a major player in the liquefied natural gas and power markets, also said it now saw oil demand peaking in the early 2030s, a few years later that it had previously anticipated.

The Swiss firm's 2023 revenue fell to $400 billion, a drop of more than 20% from a year earlier, as oil and gas prices weakened following price spikes in 2022 after Western powers imposed sweeping sanctions on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

Vitol's crude oil and product volumes though edged down only slightly by 1.6% to 7.3 million barrels per day (bpd). A 10% decline in crude volumes was partly offset by increases in gasoline and gasoil volumes, the firm said.

This year the company anticipates global refined product demand will increase by 1.5 million bpd.

Vitol does not disclose net profit but the Swiss trader made a record $15 billion in 2022, according to a non-public balance sheet seen by Reuters.

Yacht building becomes lucrative business in Antalya

Yacht building becomes lucrative business in Antalya

The free zone in the southern province of Antalya is one of the global centers of yachts, especially for luxury yacht building , with revenues from such operations amounting to nearly $2 billion in more than two decades.

Last year alone, a record number of 93 yachts were built and delivered to their owners, according to Zeki Gürses, the general manager of Antalya Free Zone.

There are a total of 88 companies operating within the free zone, and of those establishments, 50 are yacht builders, Gürses said.

The 93 yachts built at the zone were delivered to customers in a wide range of countries, including the United States, Russia, Israel, the Netherlands and Ecuador, he said, adding that 25 yachts arrived at the facilities to receive maintaining services last year.

Between 2000 and the end of February, a total of 705 yachts — some 12,863 meters in length — were built at the zone, generating $1.69 billion in revenues, according to Gürses.

Another $108 million was generated by providing maintenance services over the same period, he noted.

Providing maintenance services also gives a boost to local tourism as the owners of those ships, who are mostly affluent people, spend time in the region until maintenance work is completed, Gürses noted.

“Thanks to the improvement of the infrastructure investments we made in previous years, orders for larger size yachts began to arrive and we made a good start to 2024. This year probably more ships will be delivered compared to 2023,” Gürses said.

The value of the 93 yachts delivered last year was $143 million.

In 2023, Türkiye’s ship and yacht export revenues soared 33.6 percent from the previous year to stand at $1.94 billion, accounting for 0.9 percent of the country’s overall export revenues.

In the first two months of 2024, ship and yacht export revenues soared 334 percent year-on-year to $309 million, according to the data from the Türkiye Exporters’ Assembly (TİM).

Revenues of companies in the free zone will probably be higher as they will build larger and longer ships, according to Gürses.

“We expected some 60 to 70 yachts to be built and delivered to their owners in 2023,” he said.

There was an increase in demand for mid-size, catamaran and hybrid boats in the world, especially after the pandemic period, Gürses noted.

“Companies at the Antalya free zone easily meet such demands. They also build solar-powered boats.”

Gürses also said that 30 of the 88 companies operating in the Antalya Free Zone have foreign capital.

The total exports from the zone were $1.1 billion last year with industrial companies accounting for 96 percent of this amount and the EU countries were the largest export destinations with a 50 percent share, he noted.

The biggest yachts to look out for at the 2024 St Barths Bucket

St Barths is the epicentre of superyacht racing during the Caribbean season, often with an impressive array of superyacht spectators in tow . In the final days leading up to the 2024 St Barths Bucket (21-24 March), BOAT rounds up the largest yachts seen pulling into Gustavia for the famed regatta, beginning with Lürssen's 138-metre Rising Sun ...

Builder: Lürssen Length: 138.01m

If not for her sheer size, Rising Sun will be easy to spot from the shores of Gustavia thanks to her distinct glass panels running across the two upper decks. The yacht was the last ever design of Jon Bannenberg and boasts 8,000 square metres of living space that includes a wine cellar, double-height cinema and a basketball court. Rising Sun was originally commissioned by American business magnate Larry Ellison , who later sold the yacht to media mogul David Geffen.

Builder: Kleven Length: 116.15m

One of the largest explorer yachts in the world , Multiverse (ex Ulysses ) was commissioned by New Zealand's richest man, Graeme Hart. She is equipped with a heli-hangar on the top deck for a Bell 429 helicopter, as well as a large swimming pool, cinema and spa for the ultimate guest experience. Inside, the yacht's massive 18-metre beam provides accommodation for an owner's party of up to 66.

Maltese Falcon

Builder: Perini Navi Length: 88m

Fresh out of a full-scale refit, Maltese Falcon is undoubtedly one of the most unique and technologically innovative sailing superyachts in the world – kitted out with radical unstayed masts made of "weapons-grade" carbon fibre, a FalconRig and computerised sail and mast control system. Be sure to look out for the yacht's eponymous emblem on its middle sail, which also appears in the form of a bronze sculpture next to the indoor cinema.

Builder: Admiral – The Italian Sea Group Length: 74.85m

Instantly recognisable, Kenshō' 's flowing lines and metallic green-blue hull took six years to create with design from Dutch firm Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture and Berlin-based archineers.berlin . The Admiral flagship was awarded the coveted Motor Yacht of the Year title at the 2023 BOAT International World Superyacht Awards and picked up another Neptune at the 2023 BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards for Best Interior Design. Onboard highlights include a glass-fronted spa pool on the sundeck, a sunbed shaped in the image of a manta ray and a diesel-electric system based on five variable-speed generators that earned the yacht its Eco classification.

Builder: Heesen Yachts Length: 65m

The multiple award-winning Illusion (ex Galactica Star ) was delivered by Heesen in 2013, featuring the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) developed by Dutch naval architects Van Oossanen & Associates . Her streamlined appearance and generous guest amenities have made her a favourite on the charter scene, with Beyoncé and Jay Z among her list of returning clients . Illusion was also singled out by Dickie Bannenberg – who designed the yacht's interior – as one of his most memorable projects owing to its considerable onboard art collection.

Builder: Benetti Length: 60m

Another popular charter vessel, St David will once again appear on the hit reality TV show Below Deck , but this time with a new captain at the helm. The yacht is characterised by a classic Baroque theme with intricate marquetry made from satin woods, and a mosaic floor on the skylounge that draws inspiration from a "Tuscan palazzo". While St David is known to frequent high-profile events such as the Cannes Film Festival, she has also ventured to off-the-beaten-path locations including the Seychelles, Red Sea and Abu Dhabi.

Builder: Trinity Yachts Length: 58.83m

Launched in 2016, Imagine... is one of the largest yachts to be built in the United States . The tri-deck vessel was penned by long-time collaborator Geoff Van Aller , with both the hull and superstructure built from aluminium to AB classification. The yacht's primary social area is found on the sundeck, where guests can relax in the Jacuzzi, on multiple sun loungers or at the bar. Inside, Imagine... also has a bonus cabin that doubles as a massage room.

Builder: Feadship Length: 55.5m

This Feadship superyacht has sailed under a litany of names since her 2005 delivery, including Twizzile , Drizzle , Issana , Madsummer , Cynthia and most recently, Mary A . In 2018, her owner joined forces with American interior designer Claudette Bonville Associates to give Mary A an exhaustive makeover that included a top-to-bottom paint job, technical tweaks and a brand-new interior – all while carefully preserving the yacht's pedigree.

Builder: Benetti Length: 52m

Lady B (ex Latitude ) appears to be making the most of the winter cruising season, with back-and-forth trips between the British Virgin Islands and St Barths since early December 2023 according to BOATPro 's Global Fleet Tracker. Before that, the yacht spent the off-season touring fan-favourite destinations in the South Pacific, such as Fiji, the Cook Islands and French Polynesia. She is consistently ranked among the most popular charter vessels with amenities such as an outdoor cinema, a Jacuzzi and a recently updated dive centre.
