The ABATI 46′ NEWPORT  model from AB-SHIPYARD, Italia, is the evolution of the classic New England style lobster/picnic boat will again be on display at this year’s 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 30-November 3, 2019, for factory direct ordering of this imported gem from a very exclusive limited per year supply chain. 

This 2020 ABATI 46′ NEWPORT , 2 or 3-stateroom model w/ Crew Quarters for 1 [either version], is not just the pleasure of a personal and unmistakable Italian style cruising showpiece, but also with functionality and sportiness with this modern classic’s technological benefits.  This  the fruit of decidedly innovative technological solutions in handmade old Italian woodworking and vessel building mastery, on full display in the boating capital of the world.

The planing hull with vinylester gelcoat, high resistance in osmosis water penetration aging and likewise damaging UV-rays resistant, this fiberglass hand-layup type process for the first layers (skin coat), followed by layering process of infusion, for subsequent layer, hull made of single skin laminate with quadri-type of high strength E-glass and topsides of the hull are of composite laminates sandwich construction, reduces the osmosis invasion of water penetration into the hull bilge. 

The hull deck and superstructure laminated with a PVC-Core sandwich made of vinyl ester resin, is warrantied for 10-years. Anti-fouling protection applied to hull as cathodic protection amplifies this protection, and with the very  limited production of this model, equates to cost investment protection for resale from the moment of delivery.  

This unique building process and design permits a cruising speed of 26 knots in absolute safety. The stern can be opened to hold a tender of 2.5 metres and when fully open it becomes a practical bathing platform measuring 3.5 sq.mt., with a folding ladder. By use of a hideaway, hydraulic catwalk you reach the cockpit area which is furnished with a sofa that can be either for sunbathing or for seating with a table and two square armchairs.

The command console, separated from the cockpit by a glass door, has a semicircular sofa, an extendable table and a functional cocktail bar. The night area down below, carefully decorated with inlay work and wooden doors, has a luxurious centrally located, Master Cabin with bathroom separated from the box shower, and two guest cabins with shared bathroom or a double single VIP cabin upon request.

The kitchen below deck is spacious and functional. The crew’s cabin is accessed through the cockpit and has one single bed, toilet, sink and storage cupboard.
