Get ready to strut your stuff at the Bonaire Clubhouse, for the ultimate New Year's Eve shindig on December 31, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 

Dress code? Denim and Diamonds, baby! Get creative and show us your style!

We're bringing the heat with DJ Emiliano spinning the hottest beats around. Feel free to make song requests.

Grab your friends and head to the photo booth for the perfect snapshot of the night.

But let's talk about the real star of the show: the Wood Ranch Grill buffet dinner! We're serving up a feast with Baby Back Ribs, Tri Tip, Salmon, and BBQ Chicken as the main course. Get your fill with sides like Caesar Salad, Garlic Roasted Potatoes, and Skillet Baked Beans. And don't even get us started on dessert – you won't want to miss Mom's Deep Dish Peach Crist and House-Baked Cookies.

This legendary bash is hosted by our very own Vice Commodore, Grace Toy.

Sea Isle’s New Year’s Eve Celebration Will Delight Families with Food, Dancing and More

Every year, hundreds of children and their families attend a New Year’s Eve celebration in Sea Isle City, which allows kids to ring-in the New Year and still get to bed at a reasonable hour.  The theme of the celebration this year will be “From Sea to Shining Sea.”

The celebration, hosted by the City’s Division of Recreation and Municipal Alliance Committee, will be held at the Gymnasium (inside the former Public School Building), from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and will feature family activities, dancing, entertainment, food and an early countdown to midnight with a falling crystal ball at 7 p.m.

The evening will “end with a bang” at the JFK Boulevard Beach at 8 p.m. with a fireworks display.

Reservations are required (limited space availability) and children must be accompanied by an adult. Sandwiches and desserts will be provided and families are asked to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages.  For more information, phone the Recreation Office at (609) 263-0050.

Jitney service will be available from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.  The route will be from 29th Street to 94th Street, north and southbound, along Landis Avenue.  For more information on Jitney service, phone (609) 513-0312. Please note that 42nd Place and Park Road is not on the route, unless there is a request.

Fireworks, But No Community Party For New Year’s Eve

For more than 20 years, Sea Isle City gave local families an alcohol-free alternative to safely ring in the New Year.

Hundreds of children would pour into the former public school for a night of kid-friendly entertainment and to have their pictures taken with costumed superheroes such as Wonder Woman, Spider-Man and Captain America.

Mimicking the famous midnight celebration at Times Square, a ball would drop from a replica of the Empire State Building inside the gymnasium at Sea Isle’s old school precisely at 7 p.m. to usher in the New Year at an hour appropriate for children.

However, the family-style community party will not be held this New Year’s Eve because the heating system at the old school is broken and the building remains closed to the public, city spokeswoman Katherine Custer.

“There is no heat in that building so we had to turn off the water and shut down the building. Therefore, we can’t have the New Year’s Eve event, unfortunately, because we have no space that is sufficient to hold an event of that size,” Custer said Friday.

Sea Isle, though, will still celebrate New Year’s Eve with a fireworks display at 8 p.m. Fireworks will shoot off from the beach at John F. Kennedy Boulevard for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Like other communities nationwide, Sea Isle canceled its fireworks display last year while the coronavirus pandemic raged. It also canceled the community party inside the old school.

The old school, built in 1971, closed in 2012 due to Sea Isle’s declining student enrollment. The building has been deteriorating in recent years, including the broken heating system.

Mayor Leonard Desiderio and other city officials will hold a town hall meeting 10 a.m. Saturday to discuss Sea Isle’s plan to demolish the old school and redevelop the site at 4501 Park Road into a $20 million community recreation center. The meeting will take place at the Community Lodge next to the Sea Isle City Welcome Center at 300 JFK Boulevard.

During the meeting, blueprints will be on display, city officials will outline the uses planned for the facility, and members of the public will be able to ask questions about the project.

There will also be a presentation by the city’s auditor to explain how the cost to construct the community recreation center will impact property taxes.

Those who are unable to attend the meeting in person can view the event online via “Facebook Live” on the city’s Facebook page, which can be accessed by clicking the Facebook link on the home page of www.seaislecitynj.us .

The IGY team is rolling out the red carpet for superyacht owners and charter guests with an exclusive rooftop viewing lounge for IGY Trident members and VIP guests located onsite Yacht Club Isle De Sol.  This rooftop lounge will set the stage for a magical viewing experience with enticing bites and lively entertainment set against the starlit backdrop of one of the world’s most desired yachting destinations.

Spectacular 2 Hour New Year's Eve Boat Cruise & Celebration at Sea from Reykjavik

Is Reykjavík on your list of places to be on New Year’s Eve? Well, in our opinion, it sure should be! Icelanders go crazy around midnight with their firework show lighting up the night sky, creating a beautiful display all over the city and the surrounding areas!

By joining the cruise you will have ample views of the celebration of the most anticipated night of the year where Icelanders compete to blow up the best, the biggest and brightest explosions!

Meet us at the Old Harbour where our crew awaits you in the hull of our Visitor Centre permanently placed by the pier. You will be greeted with a welcome drink by our crew and shown to the celebratory vessel for the evening. The boat departs at 22:30 to get in a prime position for the beginning of the show, so make sure that you arrive in good time.

After setting out, you will cruise along the capital’s coastline, and see many of its beautiful landmarks. Harpa Concert Hall, the Sun Voyager sculpture, and of course, Hallgrímskirkja church on top of the hill, will all come into view. You will then head a little further out into Faxaflói Bay, and wait for the first explosion - a true spectacle for all senses! As soon as one goes off, others will follow. Before long, the sky will be alive with colour, explosions and smoke. Beyond the bangs, you’ll be able to hear the entire city in celebration.

Be sure to bring warm clothing, as Iceland in December is cold - and it’s even colder out at sea! If you still are chilly, there are overalls and blankets onboard you can borrow, or simply warm up with a hot drink in hand.

While, of course, our main focus will be on the firework display, Iceland can be full of surprises, and on cold clear night we may even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights!

After a spectacular show, you will return to the Old Harbour. Following the fireworks, it’s time to celebrate the New Year at one of Reykjavík’s many bars and clubs that are open until the early hours of the morning.

Lunch & Dinner Specials, Thanksgiving Buffet and New Year's Eve Party Announced

Summer may be over, but the Ocean Pines Yacht Club is heating up with the announcement of its popular lunch and dinner specials, Thanksgiving buffet and annual New Year's Eve party.

Specials - as well as a new menu - kick off on Thursday, Nov. 3. Lunch specials will be offered from 12-4 p.m., Thursday through Sunday. Dinner specials will be available beginning at 4 p.m.

Lunch specials include half-price sandwiches (crab cake sandwich not included) on Thursdays, half-price flatbreads on Fridays, and $8.99 grilled cheese on Saturdays.

Dinner specials include Trivia Night on Thursdays, 20% off entire check on Fridays, and a 16oz. prime rib dinner for $23.99 or a 12oz prime rib dinner for $19.99 on Saturdays.

Sundays will feature football specials and Happy Hour at the bars from open to close.

The Yacht Club has also announced the menu for its annual Thanksgiving buffet on Nov. 24. Reservations are encouraged and accepted for all parties.

Open seating will be available anytime from 12-5 p.m. The price per person is $32 for adults and $15 for ages 12 and under, plus tax and gratuity.

The buffet will feature a wide variety of classic holiday favorites and Yacht Club specialties, including:

Turkey, top round and ham

Mashed and sweet potatoes

Stuffing and gravy

Peas, carrots, corn and Brussels sprouts

Green bean casserole

Seafood Pot Pie

Cranberry sauce

Rolls and cornbread

Potato salad and coleslaw

Assorted desserts

Reservations are also being accepted for the Yacht Club's New Year's Eve party, which will feature the music of Great Train Robbery, a four-course meal and more from 7:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. The price is $125 per person plus tax and gratuity.

The menu for this special event includes:

Passed Appetizers

Prosciutto, fig and mascarpone tart with toasted pine nuts

Pancetta and Asiago stuffed mushrooms

Crab Toast Imperial with melted Muenster cheese

Shaved Brussels sprouts, roasted butternut squash, bacon, dried cranberries, cherries, golden raisins and almonds over kale and arugula with maple-Dijon dressing

Entree Choices (Select 1)

Surf N Turf: 6oz. filet and 5oz. Crab Cake Imperial, dauphin potatoes, herb-roasted baby carrots and broccolini

Gorgonzola Crusted NY Strip: 140z. NY Strip with chianti wild mushrooms over winter vegetables and roasted fingerling potatoes

Roasted Rockfish: 8oz. rockfish with golden beets over rainbow Swiss chard, pancetta, fried prosciutto and beurre blanc, garnished with gaufrettes

Ratatouille: Served over goat cheese polenta with fried angel hair, pine nuts and fennel

Coffee semifreddo with shaved chocolate & white chocolate powder
