One of the most popular destinations on the island of Key West is Duval Street. Visit the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum where you can take in some history about the writer and meet a legendary six toed cat. If you feel like taking in some nature, visit the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory where there are 50 - 60 different species of live butterflies from around the world. Fort Zachary Taylor is considered one of the best offshore snorkeling spots in Key West where there are a variety of tropical fish species and living coral to see. A favorite among snorkeling enthusiasts is Sand Key Lighthouse Reef. With a remote location and strict no-take policy, the Sand Key Lighthouse Reef is one of the healthiest coral gardens in Florida.

Craving a drink in your hand and your toes in the sand? Check out the turquoise waters at Smathers Beach. Rental shops are available with beach chairs, shade umbrellas, kayaks, jet skis and much more. Try South Beach for calm, shallow waters that are excellent for swimming and great for families. Higgs Beach is unique for its historical significance. Take a wander around, and you'll find monuments dedicated to the 19th-century slave cemetery located on the site. There is also a pier at Higgs Beach, where visitors can often spot stingrays and other marine species.

Hindu Charters is a family-owned, local business sailing out of both Key West, Florida and Provincetown, Massachusetts. Schooner Hindu, one of the oldest, most historic wooden schooners in the Florida Keys, has been sailing out of P-Town since 1946. Built in 1925, Hindu is undergoing a top to bottom historic restoration just in time for her 100 th anniversary. To help with this enormous undertaking, all sails on our luxury catamaran SV Argo Navis support this effort.

We provide private charters on a 44-foot sailing catamaran.

Sailing along the beautiful Key West coastline, Sunset key, and Mallory square.

Maine Excursions

Sail past an historic 200+ year old lighthouse, scan the horizon for minke and humpback whales as you hear the waves crashing against the rocky shoreline, watch bald eagles swoop down through the lush green marshland to grasp their fish lunch, feel like a kid again as you jump off the bows of the boat into the warm saco river and float around with pool noodles.

The S/V Liberty is a 44 foot sailing yacht.  Sailing on a catamaran provides a much more comfortable and luxurious experience than other boats.  It is more stable, easier to walk around, and provides much more seating and entertaining areas than a typical boat.  Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the coastline and local marine life atop the yacht’s flybridge, and bask in the sun lying on the front trampolines. The spacious interior dining area provides the perfect venue for enjoying appetizers and cocktails. Or, dine al fresco in our outdoor seating area, shaded from the sun under the coach roof.

In the fall of 2018, we decided to leave the cold new england winters and set sail in the caribbean, and finally found our winter home in key west. our combined experience encompasses over 30 years of sailing, culinary and hospitality expertise, and business management.  we love hosting guests on the boat and being able to bring them to beautiful, magical bays and anchorages to create wonderful memories. ashley has worked in the culinary and hospitality industries for over 15 years in leadership roles spanning operations, finance, and strategy.  she has a degree from the french culinary institute and mba from the university of virginia.  nils holds a 100 ton master captain's license, is a certified sailing instructor with the u.s. sailing association, and has been teaching sailing and captaining yachts for over 15 years. our experience and love for the ocean will provide you with wonderfully unique adventures, enabling you to explore and enjoy parts of key west and southern maine coastlines that you could never see otherwise.  come sailing with us.

About Your Crew

Captain Tom and his wife Denise have been sailing for over two decades.   Over the course of the last three years they have sailed over 4,000 nm along the east coast of US and the Caribbean Sea.  Tom holds a USCG OUPV Captain's License.  Prior to their most recent adventure, Tom was a Research Physicist and his wife a Public Relations Manager.  Bow and Harry our French Hounds server at the pleasure of our guest or vacation at a nearby pet resort during charters.

Welcome aboard this 2019 Fountaine Pajot MY 40! This 3 cabin/2 head power cat is perfect for your next  Key West adventure . Her Volvo IPS 500 motors are great for getting to the Dry Tortugas and back.

Pegasus is equipped with a GARMIN radar, IPS Pilot, AIS VHF, second handheld VHF, and aft camera, aft hydraulic platform, solar panels, and RIB dinghy.

Her fully equipped galley and fly bridge make life aboard easy with an electric grill, combination microwave oven, fridge and freezer, ice-maker, dishwasher and washer dryer.

Additional amenities include Flat screen TV, WiFi amplifier, BOSE audio video pack, and extra 110V outlets. With the new MY40, Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts pushes the limits of the possible even further, by striking the perfect balance between your demands for performance and comfort.
