Epiphany cuts a striking silhouette with a trio of sleek steel hulls and a lightweight aluminum superstructure. Spread across three decks, the living quarters are characterized by large windows that offer sweeping views. The generous 700-square-foot owner’s suite is located in the bow of the center hull, while two VIPs can be found in the cross beam. Elsewhere, there are three twins for additional guests and a couple of cabins for the crew.

The upper deck is equipped with a sprawling saloon and a swanky piano bar with a white baby grand. From here, you can head outside to enjoy the swimming pool on the aft deck. There is also a deck on each outer hull for more private lounging. The real pièce de résistance is the retractable beach club at the stern, which flows across all hulls to create a 1,500-square-foot waterside playground.

Another highlight is Epiphany’s toy selection. The full-beam garage can hold a tender, an Icon A5 seaplane and a Nemo U-Boat Worx submarine. There is also a telescoping crane system integrated into the boom of each mast that can get everything into the water.

Under sail power, Epiphany can reach eight knots. Running on diesel engines, meanwhile, the vessel can cruise at 10 knots for 4,800 miles. Kozloff adds that the range can be extended with careful management of the yacht’s hybrid propulsion system.

A trimaran fit for a James Bond villain! Introducing Epiphany

The 178 foot double-masted trimaran Epiphany can carry a seaplane and has heated masts, handrails, and doors to minimise icing problems in high latitudes

Epiphany is designed for round the world sailing and high latitude s, and with three decks and a steel hull, guests and crew could easily spend months afloat.

Designed by the pen of Steve Kozloff Designs, the 178 foot trimaran has a Chantiers de l’Atlantique Solid Sail system, which allows the masts to tilt 70° forwards so the vessel can pass under bridges.

The free-standing masts rotate 360° so sails can be lowered and raised, and is free of yards and shrouds. It has integrated load sensing technology that informs the skipper how much to drive the sailing rigs, and is heated to prevent icing in colder climes.

Each mainsail is made up of semi-rigid panels that are hinged together. The jib is a traditional Dacron sail that is automatically rolled in or out. The total sail plan is 6,700 sq ft.

Epiphany is fitted with a Cummins QSK60-M hybrid diesel- electric engine , and can cruise at 10 knots for 4,800 nautical miles under diesel power only. The trimaran makes 8 knots under sail power.

Uniquely, the vessel has an internal garage for an A5 Icon seaplane, a Nemo U-Boat Worx submarine with dedicated launching systems and other water toys, as well as a tender.

There is also a 1,500 sq ft interconnecting retractable beach club and a stern pool to keep up to 12 guests happy.

Down below, Epiphany has a 700 sq ft owner’s suite in the bow of the centre hull; there are two master suites and three twin rooms. Crew cabins can sleep up to eight.

At the stern there is dedicated space for four self-inflating lifeboats, and there is a flush mounted submarine style anchor underneath the bow.

Epiphany is still just a drawing boat concept. One question you are left asking is: who would commission a trimaran like this?

Baglietto Delivers 178-Foot Yacht

Camper & Nicholsons International has announced the delivery of a new 178-foot Baglietto to her owner. The Camper & Nicholsons New Build Department handled project management and delivery after yacht broker Fernando Nicholson introduced the buyer to the yard.

The yacht is built in aluminum with a volume of 902 gross tons. Design is by Horacio Bozzo, with interiors by Hot Lab in conjunction with the owners.

On board are six staterooms plus a children’s playroom. What Camper & Nicholsons is calling two master and two VIP staterooms are all on the main deck. The remaining two guest staterooms are belowdecks.

Amenities include two infinity-style freshwater pools, a beach club, a massage room, a sauna and a gymnasium. The sky lounge spans the yacht’s beam and has a balcony.

What is the yacht’s range? It’s 4,500 nautical miles, according to Camper & Nicholsons.

(robbreport.com) – Designer Steve Kozloff has added innovative tilting sailing rigs to just about every type of vessel, from explorers to gigayachts. Now it’s the trimaran’s turn. The California-based designer has just unveiled a new concept, known as Epiphany, which is equipped with two masts that can be rotated and lowered on demand. The new 178-footer is the latest model in Kozloff’s Goliath Series of “folding” yachts that are designed around Chantiers de L’Atlantique’s Solid Sail system. Read more.

Why We Like It

Yacht STARFIRE is 178 in length (54M). She has a beam of 31.5 and a draft of 11.5. She was built in Italy by the Benetti boatyard. STARFIRE is 757 tons and has a fuel capacity of 35,000 gallons (140,000 liters). Her maximum speed is 15 knots and she cruises at 12 knots. She has a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. Launched in 1998, STARFIRE has been through three refits, one in 2002,one in 2004 and 2012. Included in her 2004 refit was the addition of at-anchor zero speed stabilization, which is a true advancement in the yachts performance. STARFIRE has the latest and most technologically advanced communication system in the industry. With a new Ku-band satellite, we are now able to offer full communication while docked and at sea. This innovative system provides guests with high speed wireless internet access around the world. In addition, a state of the art audio visual system has been installed to provide the best available programming and reception no matter the destination! Along with STARFIRES technical advances, her 2012 refit included an interior transformation to Modern Art Deco. To better suit the owners style, custom furniture and exquisite fabrics were paired to create an elegant and inviting yacht. Great effort and craftsmanship were expended to insure STARFIRES appearance and performance are at the highest of levels.

• 100% drug free/smoke free boat; however some boats allow cigarette smoking on the aft deck.
• All boats come with captain and insurance is included.
• For day charters fuel is included for idle/trolling speed around local areas. For high speed cruising fuel is charged extra.
