Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Captain Glenn Shephard Gives Update on Dani Soares and Jean-Luc’s Co-Parenting of Daughter Lilly Rose, Plus Cast’s Reaction

Avid Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans will definitely recall the paternity drama that unfolded between former stew Dani Soares and deckhand Jean-Luc Cerza-Launaux during their respective season on the franchise.

Although the two have apparently sorted out the paternity drama, their former boss, Captain Glenn Shephard , is giving us an update on how the couple is co-parenting following their split.

Speaking to Us Weekly , Glenn said Jean-Luc has somewhat stepped up to the plate and has “some involvement now” in daughter Lilly Rose’s life. He has even started up a college fund for her.

“I know that [Jean-Luc] has some involvement now with [his and Dani’s] baby. I heard that he’s setting up a college fund and that he talks to her regularly on zoom because they’re far apart,” Glenn told the outlet at the NBCUniversal Upfront on Monday, May 16. “[Dani is] in Australia and his boat is in the states. He has to keep working obviously and I don’t think he can go to Australia and start a job.”

Glenn admits he gets most of his updates on the couple through secondhand sources, but he added that he thinks Jean-Luc should do more, especially after adamantly dismissing the child as his own in the past.

“I was asking someone what’s his involvement because it’s been a while. Personally, I think he should do more. But I don’t know all the details. I’m not that close with them so I can’t really speak to it,” Glenn shared.

Viewers saw the whole drama play out on their screens between Dani and Jean-Luc.

“Let’s put it this way, this baby was made during the season while we had cameras 24/7 with us and I only slept with one guy,” Dani said in June 2021. “He hasn’t supported me at all in any way. He thinks it is not his child and he doesn’t want to have anything to do with it,” Dani said.

Several months after Dani gave birth to Lilly Rose, and after a paternity test that was demanded by Jean-Luc, he finally claimed the child as his own.

“I’m happy and proud to say sweet and beautiful Lilly Rose is my daughter,” he wrote in an Instagram post in January. “Dani and I have been working and communicating together to the best of our ability. This is imperative [to work out] for the sake of our daughter as she needs both parents in her life.”

Sometimes words just come a little too late, Jean-Luc. And Dani and her former castmates apparently agree.

Current Below Deck Down Under star and former Below Deck Sailing Yacht stew Alli Dore  told Us Weekly at the time, “I feel like after all the back and forth that happened and all the things that were said about Dani, there should have been a public apology in there to her.”

Chief engineer Colin MacRae also had some choice words for his former co-star, saying, “It’s never too late to redeem yourself with actions, but this pathetic attempt at owning up to being a father just for the sake of social media, with a complete lack of any form of support in real life, gains no respect from me whatsoever. Which is a crying shame because every child deserves to have a father.”

According to Captain Glenn, Dani and Jean-Luc appear to be making some headway in the line of co-parenting. Here’s hoping it continues.

Meet The Season 2 Cast Of Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Prepare for messy romances and a lot of tension.

Season 2 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht features almost an entirely new cast . The only person fans will recognize is Captain Glenn Shephard, the leader fo the Parsifal III yacht who also captained the ship in Season 1. But with so many new crew members comes the potential for a ton of new drama.

Already, the Bravo website is teasing that the chief stew will butt heads with the chef, complicated romances will emerge, and tensions will be high due to pandemic protocols that required the crew to stay on board at all times. Captain Glenn is usually able to stay pretty cool in tough situations, he has his limits . If his staff isn't living up to his expectations, things could get rough. But as the captain teased to E! News, he tried his best to let the cast relax while also pushing them to stay on task. "Working on a yacht in a busy charter season is a bit of a pressure cooker," he said. "So, when there are not guests around, I will let them blow off a little steam — but I want to keep my eye on it, so it doesn't get out of hand." Of course, the trailer hints that things did exactly that .

According to his Bravo bio, Captain Glenn got his start in the sailing industry as a deckhand and worked his way up to captain over the course of two decades. His full-time job for the last 11 years has been as captain of the Parsifal III, the yacht featured in the show.

Natasha De Bourg

The Season 2 chef is Natasha De Bourg, who was trained in Europe and worked as an executive chef in France at L'Ardoise prior to diving into the yachting world. She's been working as a yacht chef for three years now. And when she's not cooking, she's making all her Instagram followers jealous with her glamorous travel photos .

Daisy Kelliher

Sailing is in Daisy's blood: her grandfather Eddie Kelliher was one of Ireland's Olympic sailors in 1964. She joins the Bravo cast as the yacht's Chief Stew, but she's been in yachting for years. Her Instagram shows that she's almost always on a boat, including during the 2018 St. Barths Bucket Regatta race.

Colin Macrae

Prior to joining Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Colin spent eight years as a yacht engineer on various other vessels. These days, he's also a YouTuber and vlogs about his various sailing adventures for his nearly 100,000 subscribers.

This First Mate has 12 years of experience in yachting, but he's not all business and no play. His Bravo bio says he's "never the type to leave a party first" and a flirtationship on the show could quickly lead to drama for him and the rest of the crew.

Dani Soares

Dani is the Second Stew aboard the yacht, and she has eight years of experience in the field . Those eight years have helped her visit 69 countries , according to her Instagram. Now, Below Deck Sailing Yacht will further her travels.

Third Stew Alli is from Australia and previously had experience working as a divemaster. She has a secondary Instagram for her diving, including some pretty amazing up-close photos of sharks . Now she's stepping into interior yacht work, so it'll be interesting to see how the change of pace goes for her.

The other deckhand is Jean-Luc, the youngest member of the crew . Before he joined the sailing world, he played college football for the Charlotte 49ers in North Carolina. But he's spent a lot of his life around water and on boats , fishing with his dad , so he's not starting in the sailing world with no sea knowledge at all.

Considering the series filmed in August 2020, viewers are curious about the whereabouts of our Sailing Yacht favorites...and, more importantly, how the cast and crew managed to film for several weeks amid lockdown. As it turns out, the location of this season was chosen intentionally. At that time, Croatia remained one of few countries in the EU to accept American tourists. In a Reddit AMA , a producer for the show also explained that maintaining safety protocols (which likely included regular Covid testing) was key in filming this season.

Here's what happened to your favorite crew members from Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2:

Colin Macrae

Colin Macrae might serve as the Chief Engineer aboard the Parsifal III, however, when it comes to the inner workings of his relationship, things aren’t as black and white. Despite gushing over his relationship with Martina Alvarez last summer, Macrae revealed that he and Martina have officially parted ways. “Unfortunately my relationship with Martina came to an end a couple of months ago,” Colin captioned his most recent YouTube video . Although his romance is no more, Colin remains optimistic for what’s to come as he embarks on a “fresh start” in none other than Panama. Colin has also continued his efforts in creating content online documenting his many adventures in Linton Bay, Panama , where he’s resided over the course of the last few months.

Glenn Shephard

Captain Glenn Shephard is back and better than ever! The sailboat captain may only have 2 seasons of Below Deck under his belt, but his 20 years of experience certainly make him a notable addition to the Bravo family. Since his summer in Croatia last year, Gl enn has since moved to Spain , which Shephard has deemed his new “happy place.” While becoming a Bravo-lebrity can go to one’s head, Glenn has remained modest when it comes to his newfound fame. The star now offers Zoom sessions with fans of the show, where he dishes on behind-the-scenes details all while sipping cocktails on the Spanish coast.

First Officer Gary King walked away from his very first season on Below Deck Sailing Yacht feeling nothing but grateful. “Reminiscing about the last 6 weeks that have just flown by. I learned lessons that I’ll carry for life,” Gary wrote on Instagram . While fans have been rooting for him and fellow stewardess, Alli Dore to set sails on a possible romance, it appears as King has been flying solo since the series ended. After traveling about to a number of stunning locations, including Mallorca, Spain, Gary returned home to South Africa just in time for Christmas. The Bravo star has since remained in his home country, occupying himself with a series of visits to the golf range and a new passion for landscape photography and cooking.

Natasha De Bourg

The Michelin-star chef has been tuning in this season from her home in the Bahamas, and, well, she hasn't taken to it favorably. The star has posted a series of pics on her Instagram detailing her frustrations with herself on the show, claiming that she is “human and humans are imperfect.” Luckily for Natasha, her friendship with both Dani and Alli has blossomed immensely since wrapping up, and the two have been a huge support for Natasha as she cruises through these waves of criticism.

Daisy Kelliher

Being the Chief Stewardess on any yacht is no easy feat, and Daisy Kelliher is certainly feeling the burn. Following her time at sea in Croatia, Daisy, unfortunately, broke her wrist and found herself back home with mom and dad in Ireland . During lockdown, Daisy accepted a job in Antigua two months later, however, due to the current situation, her efforts at finding adventure fell flat. “I had completely lost myself,” Daisy captioned her photo on Instagram , revealing she began pushing friends away and entered a dark space. Luckily for the Below Deck star, she feels like herself again and is set to start a new job. During a live chat, Daisy revealed to co-star, Sydney Zaruba that she is most likely headed back to Europe, although she’s left much of what she’ll be doing a mystery.

Dani Soares

Dani Soares soared to being a fan favorite this current season and we don’t see that changing anytime soon. Soares, who reigns all the way from Brazil, has gone on to make quite a name for herself since her summer in Croatia. The star currently resides in Sydney, Australia where she is expecting her very first child. Dani revealed the news on social media back in April, however, both her due date and daddy status remain unknown. Although fans have inquired who the father is, Soares made it clear that it isn’t “anybody’s business.” As she embarks on her journey towards motherhood, Dani is currently working as a beauty therapist in the land down under all while taking in her recent rise to fame.

Alli Dore is the third stewardess to join the hit Bravo series, and boy are we glad she did. After wrapping up her summer in Croatia, Alli returned home to Australia, where she was born and raised. Her love for boating didn’t stop when the summer did, as she went on to spend her time in the Whitsundays Islands. As for Alli’s personal life, the star made an appearance on the Unpopular podcast where she revealed that she is pansexual. [I am] “attracted to people’s aura,” she revealed. Alli has gone on to start her very own IGTV series called Pita Party , which she stars in alongside Sailing Yacht co-stars, Daisy and Dani.

Sydney Zaruba

Sydney Zaruba found herself in quite the love triangle last summer in Croatia, but today, she is all about keeping her inner circle small. Sydney, who was born and raised in Florida, moved on over to the stunning island of Mallorca, Spain where she currently works on a 42-meter sailing yacht! This is nothing new for Sydney; considering her experience on Below Deck and, of course, her long history of sailing with her family. In addition to being at sea, Sydney decided to become a travel agent with Explorateur Travel. While the cast of Sailing Yacht has gone their separate ways since the summer ended, Sydney still managed to bump into none other than Captain Glenn on the streets of Palma.

Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux

Jean-Luc may be the youngest Below Deck crew member but he certainly makes up for it in height? Following his summer working on the Parsifal III, Jean-Luc traveled to Mallorca, Spain, an idea many of his co-stars had as well. Shortly after, the 25-year-old made his way on over to Costa Rica , which he’s called home for the last several months. Despite the remarkable views, Jean-Luc is entering some rocky waters as a plethora of rumors have surfaced questioning his role in Dani Soares’ pregnancy. Not only have fans been flooding his social media with questions concerning whether he’s the father or not, but fellow charter guest, Barrie Drewitt-Barlow also went on to add fuel to the fire. In an Instagram video posted back in April, Barrie claimed that Jean-Luc “was too busy getting the other one [Dani] pregnant … He’s gonna be a daddy,” he said. While Dani laughed off the comment, Jean-Luc has yet to address the rumors.

‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Season 2 Reunion Revelations: Dani’s Pregnancy, Gary’s Love Triangle and More

Just the beginning! The Below Deck Sailing Yacht cast virtually came together to break down everything that happened during the show’s second season — and nothing was off-limits.

During part one of the reunion on Monday, June 21, Glenn Shephard , Colin Macrae , Gary King , Natasha De Bourg , Daisy Kelliher , Dani Soares , Alli Dore and Sydney Zaruba returned to reflect on their highs and lows.

Deckhand Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux , who had some big questions to answer about his relationship with Dani since the season wrapped , was noticeably absent. However, host Andy Cohen confirmed that Jean-Luc did a separate interview for the reunion where he addressed the speculation that he’s the father of Dani’s baby .

“If that is my child, I want everything and anything to do with that child’s life,” Jean-Luc said in a preview for part two of the reunion, set to air on June 22.

Prior to the reunion, Jean-Luc took to social media to finally respond to fan’s theories about his relationship with Dani, who welcomed her first child in May.

“There’s a lot of gossip about my social media silence so I think it’s time to clear the air. While others are off chasing their 15 minutes of fame, I am working on a yacht in Central America,” he wrote via Instagram on Friday, June 18. “[I’m] heartbroken to have to hear about the baby’s birth on social media and read headlines, like, ‘Dani Soares Says Her Baby’s Father Doesn’t Want Anything to Do With It.’ All I can say is if it’s mine, I want to be involved 100 [percent].”

Jean-Luc continued: “As someone who grew up with parents who weren’t together, I wouldn’t wish that on any child. Not looking for a pity party. Just want everyone to know how strongly I feel about this, especially the haters who are so sure I am neglecting my responsibility. No one wants to know more than me if this is my baby girl!”

Many members of the Below Deck universe quickly responded to the post and called out Jean-Luc for not doing the right thing, including costar Sydney, who asked, “What is wrong with you?!”

“Don’t play the innocent victim here JL. Man the fuk [sic] up,” Colin added in the comments.

Season 2 chef Natasha added: “I’m sorry JL but sounds like a pity party to me. Why didn’t you reach out 9 months ago ??? No woman deserves to be treated the way you treated Danny [sic]”

The Crew's Thoughts on Jean-Luc's Work Ethic

The Below Deck stars didn't hold back when they spoke about the deckhand’s absent approach to his job, with chief stew Daisy referring to Jean-Luc as "absolutely moronic" while explaining why she refused to let Dani take the blame for Jean-Luc not completing his duties during their night shifts.

Colin also opened up about his relationship with Jean-Luc throughout the season, some of which fans didn't get to see. 

"I didn't specifically get on with J.L. from the start, we didn't click. But I felt like he kind of didn't want to take instructions from Gary or myself sometimes," the chief engineer said. "That was just his attitude towards work." 

Captain Glenn, who applauded Sydney for her hard work in comparison, added: "He just didn't get the urgency of what is going on."

Gary's Treatment of the Women

In response to a fan question about him "being a twat to basically all the women on the boat," Gary admitted that he did feel badly about his behavior . Shortly after, all the women except Natasha raised their hand when they were asked if they felt like the bosun didn't always treat them well.

Daisy specifically called out Gary earlier in the reunion episode for the way he spoke about her when she wasn't around. "You clearly also hated me and thought that I was a giant bitch," she revealed.

Gary, for his part, clarified: "I may have said you were acting bitchy, I never said you're a bitch.”

Dani and Her Castmates Address Her Baby's Paternity

After Dani shared that Jean-Luc did not want to be involved in her pregnancy, her costars had plenty to say about the deckhand's reaction.

"She's working so hard. She's doing 12-hour days. She's trying to get herself prepared as best as she can. And it is incredibly disgusting and frustrating that [Jean-Luc] won't even acknowledge the situation," Alli responded. "My heart breaks for Dani but she is so strong. I know that she can do this without him and will be better off."

Meanwhile, Gary claimed that Jean-Luc "does not have a spine."

"For the little respect that I had for him, that's gone out the window," he added.

Gary Had a Girlfriend

Alli dropped the bombshell that Gary had a girlfriend when he joined the boat during part two of the Below Deck reunion.

"We were in a very complicated relationship. I hadn't seen her for eight months prior to me coming on the show. Not seeing someone for eight months and growing apart in those months ... do we put a label on that? No," Gary explained after the big reveal.

For Alli, this was a major reason why she felt like it wasn't fair for Sydney to be so mad about their situation with Gary.  

"I did everything I could to be respectful in a situation but at the end of the day, when you sleep with someone when they are in a relationship, I feel like that voids you being able to treat me the way you treated me," Alli told Sydney.

Another Below Deck Baby

The former stew, who confirmed the news on social media before part one of the reunion aired , revealed that she was expecting a baby.

"Dani and I are pregnant at the same time. It's so cool!" Alli gushed about her exciting news.

Gary admitted that he didn't know his ex was pregnant, but said that he was happy for her.

"She told me when I spoke to her that her boyfriend treats her well and treats her like a princess, and at the end of the day as long as Alli is happy then I am happy," he added.

The Crossing Timeline

After Cohen asked about the crossing, Alli and Gary explained that they were an official couple during that period of time, but that it was never meant to last.

"It was inevitable that she was always leaving to Australia, so I think in the back of our minds we knew that we could never seriously work because of that," Gary clarified. "Regardless of the great chemistry and the ability to make each other laugh endlessly, and also finish each other's sentences."

Jean-Luc is the Father of Dani's Baby

Dani opened up about the negativity that she saw online from people like Jean-Luc's mother and how she struggled with that.

"Obviously, I say during the whole season that I want to be a mom and have a family, but I wanted a family. That was my plan. That was my vision. I would not choose to move to a new country where I don't know anybody and choose to have a child with a 24-year-old boy that I barely knew," she emotionally revealed. "I did not plan that. I am just going with this now and I am sure my little baby girl is going to be amazing."

I think that that within itself created a whole lot of extra drama and maybe we had some malfunctions and different things happening.”

The only returning crew member from season one is Captain Glenn Shephard , who Sydney was familiar with before signing up to do the show. “I absolutely love working with Captain Glenn,” Sydney said. “He is an absolute angel. He is the absolute best. My favorite.”

No good charter is complete without a boatmance , and it’s already being eluded to that Sydney will find herself in the mix! “I’ve never been the type of person to get involved,” Sydney teased. “This season, may have gotten the better of me and I think that’s all I can say on that. Who Is Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Natasha De Bourg?

Season 2 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht has just premiered, and chef Natasha De Bourg is already, well, rocking the boat. From the first episode of the season, De Bourg already has a run-in with chief stew Daisy Kelliher — and it gets pretty intense. The two crew members disagree over breakfast service, and if the season 2 trailer is any suggestion, things will only continue to escalate!

Now that Kelliher has made an appearance on Bravo TV's Watch What Happens Live After Show to say De Bourg is "arrogant" and "cocky," it's safe to say this season will be one for the books (via The Daily Dish ). So who is Natasha De Bourg and how did she get to where she is today?

De Bourg was born in Trinidad and escaped the island from a difficult childhood and marriage (via Bravo ). She quickly set her sights on culinary school in Europe, moving across the pond to achieve her dreams. The luxury chef saw no other way but to prove her chops at seven of the world's top Michelin-star restaurants (via MEAWW ), blowing restaurant-goers away with food that Captain Glenn says is "delicious."

After De Bourg's stint at the top Michelin-star restaurants in the world, she became an executive chef in the go-to country of fine cuisine, France. But the chef still felt like she needed to branch out, which makes sense for someone who constantly posts incredible traveling photos to Instagram , and has traveled to 17 countries according to her bio. So where else to go but the yachting life ?

Fast forward to today, and Natasha De Bourg is a chef on the Parsifal III , and living the dream as she moves from one destination to the next (via MEAWW ). However, that's not to say it hasn't come with a fair bit of tension on board! Just as Kelliher and De Bourg disagreed over when to serve breakfast, Kelliher told Bravo's WWHL After Show that she could immediately see "bad signs" in the gourmet chef (via Showbiz Cheat Sheet ). That being said, Captain Glenn was quick to jump to her defense, saying that she is "a little bit wild. Definitely self-confident. But I think she had a nice playful attitude."

Moreover, many fans are pointing to De Bourg's ethnicity as the reason some crew members aren't giving her the respect she deserves, particularly after season 2's first episode which depicts both Kelliher and Dani Soares mistaking her for a stew. In fact, one Twitter user wrote, "They can't believe the Black chick is a chef. #BelowDeckSailing" while another user said, "Black woman must be a deckhand... huh? Couldn't believe her when she said she was the chef the first time. Huh? Hmmm... the microaggressions."

That being said, it is clear that De Bourg is confident and headstrong enough to just keep sailing!

Below Deck: 8 Former Stews Who Could Replace Barbie (She's Out Of Control)

• Some former crew members could easily replace Barbie Pascual, who has proven to be awful on Below Deck.

Some of the former Stews could easily replace Barbie Pascual since she has been awful on Below Deck . The 29-year-old Argentina native joined the Bravo series in February 2024. She debuted in season 11 as one of the Stews, with six years of experience in the yachting industry. Unlike other crew members, who stayed down to earth and showed sensibility, Barbie showcased ridiculous behavior , which quickly made her stand out. She disrespected her senior Chief Steward Fraser Olender and didn’t filter her thoughts before letting them out in front of others.

Barbie also showed frustration against fellow crew members soon after boarding St. David. She disrespected Stew Cat Baugh for not doing her job fast enough. Unlike other cast members who showed improvement and character development over the episodes, Barbie showed little to no care for improving herself. She became so notorious that viewers began speculating that the Captain would likely fire her, and she probably wouldn’t stay on the yacht for long. Margot Sisson Would Make A Good Addition

Below Deck Down Under ’s Margot Sisson can replace Barbie in Below Deck season 11. Margot is a sincere and sweet Stew who likes to focus on her job without being a menace to her crew members. She was an absolute gem on Below Deck Down Under and deserves a chance to return to the series again. While Barbie is a pain in the backs of her crew members, Margot is a comforter. She also has a dry wit and is the voice of people . More important than everything else, the former Below Deck Stew is thankful and honest.

Is another Below Deck spin-off in the works? Here’s why fans think so

Is another Below Deck spin-off in the works? That’s a question on Below Deck fans minds as the show was spotted filming in a new location.

There are currently four Below Deck shows with Season 11 of the OG show playing out on Bravo right now.

Below Deck Adventure was a one-and-done, making it the only spin-off that didn’t have a lasting impact.

However, a recent Reddit thread has the rumor mill buzzing another spin-off could be coming soon.

Let’s take a look at why Below Deck fans think a new show could be coming to Bravo.

Is another Below Deck spin-off in the works?

“Walking along Anse Source D’Argent yesterday and came across the crew filming around a lunch table for an ‘unnamed boat show’ to air in the future. The cameramen had hats with Below Deck written on the back. I don’t know which franchise is currently filming here, but I thought it was interesting to see!” wrote a Reddit user.

This got the rumor mill buzzing of course that a new spin-off could be in the works. That’s highly unlikely, though, given that Below Deck Adventure wasn’t renewed and Below Deck was just revamped with Captain Kerry Titheradge.

Bravo has certainly backed Below Deck, but with four shows right now, that seems like plenty for the network at the moment.

Could the OG Below Deck be filming Season 12?

Aside from Below Deck fans thinking a new show was filming, there were plenty of theories suggesting that Season 12 of the OG show was filming in Anse Source D’Argent.

One Reddit user reminded Below Deck fans that this is the normal time frame for the OG show to film, but a different user brought up how Fraser Olender was currently skiing. That could simply mean Fraser won’t return, or it’s not Below Deck filming.

Another brought up the schedule for the Below Deck Med, declaring it wouldn’t be for that spin-off since Season 9 has already been filmed. The user also mentioned this was the time for Below Deck to film.

Below Deck fans will have to wait and see what this new filming spotting means. It’s a safe bet, though, that it has to do with the OG show and not a new spin-off.

In other Below Deck news, as Monsters and Critics previously reported, Barbie Pascual hints at more trouble brewing with Fraser on Season 11.

Some charter guests have made outrageous demands from the Below Deck crew while on the yacht. One of the guests has even taken their tips back.

• Only a few charter guests on Below Deck have been nice, like Justin Guarini from season.
• Delores, Timothy Sykes, Barrie & Tony have been terrible guests ruining crew morale.
• Erica Rose and Charley Walters were labeled as the worst guests due to their high-maintenance behavior.

Hundreds of charter guests have appeared on the Below Deck franchise over the last 11 years, but only a few have been nice. The famous Bravo series first premiered in 2013 and gave fans a more intimate look at the lives of the yacht crew and their encounters with the charter guests. Laura Desiree from Below Deck Down Under season 2 has been among the newest and most memorable guests. She was extremely inappropriate throughout her stay on Captain Jason Chambers’ yacht, making wild demands such as asking Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph to cover her in chocolate.

Justin Guarini from Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 was also very memorable. The American Idol season 1 runner-up surprised viewers by boarding Captain Glenn Shephard’s yacht a few months ago. He immediately left a mark on fans by being one of the nicer charter guests. In one instance, Justin complimented Chef Ileisha Dell by claiming her cuisine was out of the world. Despite some great charter guests, there have been more than a few with terrible attitudes.

8 alexis bellino, below deck season 7.

Since 2013, numerous rude guests have appeared on Below Deck . Alexis Bellino appeared as a guest on the original series who angered the crew with her excessive PDA. The Real Housewives of Orange County alumni appeared in Below Deck with her boyfriend at the time, Andy Bohn. Immediately, she creeped fans out with her PDA and made Kate Chastain and Courtney Skippon roll their eyes. Later, Alexis took to X and called out the crew members. She wrote,

“pot calling the kettle black,”

taking a shot at Kate and Courtney’s boatmances with Tanner Sterback and Brian de Saint Pern.

Below Deck Season 8

Delores from Below Deck season 8 was extremely inappropriate and a terrible guest overall. In episode 11, she gets so drunk and later tries to have a late-night swim. She made the entire crew scared for her well-being by attempting to swim in the ocean at night. Even when Captain Lee Rosbach warned her, Delores jumped into the sea and broke safety rules. As expected, the Captain had to send her home the next day. During her final scene, she again jumped off the mini-boat to shore , proving she hadn’t learned anything.

6 Justin Richards

Below deck season 9.

When Justin Richards appeared on Below Deck season 9, it looked like he wouldn’t be too much trouble. However, the charter guest proved everyone wrong by creating a big scene. In one of the episodes, Justin got very drunk before dinner alongside primary charter guests Michael Durham and Terri Foss. He then argued with them and got so angry he chose to leave the table. Justin then ate his dinner on the swim platform, creating unnecessary drama . At one point, Justin even threatened to throw someone overboard, which was out of the line.

5 Timothy Sykes

Below deck season 2.

Like Delores, Timothy Sykes was one of Below Deck 's most disrespectful charter guests. Timothy complained about small things like the internet and reduced the crew’s tips in front of Captain Lee because of minor food complaints. While replying to a fan, Captain Lee shared his first-hand experience of Timothy and why he was a terrible charter guest. He said (via Cheatsheet ), “Timothy Sykes took back some of the tips, 5K after he had already handed it to me and said he was taking some back because his 19-year-old girlfriend didn’t like her dinner after he ordered it for her.”

4 barrie & tony, below deck sailing yacht season 2.

Barrie and Tony Drewitt-Barlow were charter guests on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2. They boarded Captain Glenn’s yacht to take their family on a luxury holiday through Croatia. Unfortunately, they were on their worst behavior throughout their time on the boat, leading to petty drama and cringe-worthy moments. The first thing viewers disliked the most about Barrie was his mean attitude . Tony was just as bad as his former partner, with his high maintenance and lack of self-awareness.

3 Erica Rose

Below deck sailing yacht seasons 2 & 3.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht guest Erica Rose was the worst charter guest ever after her appearance. One reason why fans felt Erica was the worst was her high-maintenance behavior. The attorney was constantly throwing orders, using the Stews as her maids, and being inappropriate overall. Crew members like Daisy Kelliher felt demeaned by Erica’s demands and rude behavior. She told the cameras, “These people are disrespectful,” adding that they are unpredictable and scary. Erica had an issue with everyone from the Chef to the stews until the end.

2 Charley Walters

Charley Walters was on Below Deck season 8, episode 14. He was a returning guest, having made other appearances on the Bravo show before. One of the worst demands from Charley was an inclination toward embarrassing male crew members. At one time, he made them wear short speedos and served them dinner and drinks. He also made outrageous demands from the Chef, making others suffer for his enjoyment.

While Charley later said producers told him to act badly for the drama, it doesn’t change the fact that he did it without remorse.

1 Dean Slover

The self-proclaimed food-lover and traveler, Dean Slover, was a difficult charter guest . Despite his past difficult life, Dean didn’t make it easy for fans to like him. When he debuted on the show, he made an extensive preference sheet on the spot, pushing the crew to run around trying to fulfill his demands. He also showed a bossy attitude toward others, thinking he was the biggest deal on Captain’s yacht. The Most Shocking Below Deck Moments Ever

The Below Deck franchise has definitely had its fair share of plot lines that rock the boat and keep viewers talking long after the seasons end. It’s a show that follows the drama among both the seasonal crew and its charter guests on a yacht sailing in beautiful places – we’re not sure how it could not be interesting!

However, there are certainly some Below Deck moments that shocked fans more than others. Let’s explore the most shocking moments in Below Deck history.

The Consent Scandal (and Consequent Firings) in Below Deck Down Under

In Below Deck Down Under Season 2, bosun Luke Jones drunkenly climbed into Margot Sisson’s  bunk one night without consent (while appearing to be completely naked, as viewers will unfortunately remember). Viewers were relived when fan favorite Captain Jason Chambers fired Luke for sexual misconduct.

However, Luke’s fellow crew member Laura Bileskalne seemed to take Luke’s side in the matter, saying he shouldn’t have been fired. She also made several victim-blaming comments about Margot. Yikes! Captain Chambers then fired Laura as well. Viewers were both shocked by the incident and glad to see Captain Chambers taking action against both Luke and Laura.

Ashton Pienaar Falling Overboard

Ashton Pienaar from Below Deck Seasons 6 and 7 worried viewers everywhere when he fell overboard the boat. For a minute, it looked pretty scary. Ashton’s foot got caught in the line used to tow the yacht tender. With his foot caught in the rope, he was thrown overboard and dragged along. All while he attempted to keep his head above water.

With the help of his fellow shipmates, the camera crew and Captain Lee Rosbach , Ashton was able to get rescued and pulled ashore. Because the incident looked for a moment like it could have been fatal, viewers were on the edge of their seat while watching it play out onscreen. Fans all breathed a sigh of relief when Ashton was safe (as did we!)

Hannah Ferrier Getting Fired for Pharmaceutical Possession

Lots of Below Deck Mediterranean fans were furious Captain Sandy Yawn  fired Hannah Ferrier for having her alleged anxiety medication on the yacht with her. When Malia White discovered that Hannah had Valium onboard, she reported her to Captain Sandy. Hannah allegedly had a vape pen in her possession as well, which she claimed was legal in Spain, and therefore she thought it should have been fine given their location. However, it was apparently not fine, and Sandy consequently fired Hannah , citing maritime law. Sandy explained that Hannah would have needed to register her medication beforehand. Both Hannah and various Below Deck viewers thought that perhaps Captain Sandy was looking for a reason to get rid of the crew member, and therefore simply found something to do it over.

Captain Sandy has since said that the firing was not personal. She explained that if she allowed the crew member to remain on board with medication without registering it first, she could have lost her job. Regardless, this remains one of the most shocking moments and firings of the Below Deck franchise.

Lexi Wilson’s Hot Tub Fiasco

Second stew  Lexi Wilson was at the center of one of the most dramatic fights ever to be seen. It all went down in Below Deck Mediterranean. Viewers knew things were about to go south when Lexi announced one episode that she would no longer be acting “nice.” She then she threatened to strangle chef Mathew Shea . Later on in the episode, the yacht crew decides to play Truth or Dare in a hot tub. We challenge our readers to think of one time in history that this scenario has ever ended well. This was no exception. During the game, Lexi started lashing out at the crew and calling them names. And, she even forcefully put her breasts in Lloyd Spencer’s face. But Lexi wasn’t done. She continued to scream at everyone, insulting the whole crew, and she even shoved Mzi Dempers across the galley. The whole situation was truly one of the craziest altercations on the Below Deck franchise.
