Very hard to review a service when there is really little service! And very hard to review a meal when no meal is served, even after asking it's whereabouts twice . swan Yacht Club has really dropped the ball, very sad to see. 01
Our family had Christmas lunch at the Swan Yacht Club on Christmas day. The location on the banks of the Swan River was supreme and made for a beautiful and memorable day spent with the family. The dining room and bar is upstairs and there is a large covered balcony with views of the boats and water. We were served a seafood entree and then a buffet lunch and dessert was provided. Roast pork, vegetables, salad and fish. Drinks were included in the package for a few hours and of course there was a line! A very relaxing day for everyone, a different way to spend Christmas too!
Christmas Lunch
I'm giving this place three stars because the view out over the yachts and the river is wonderful. If I was rating on the food alone, it would probably be two. It was pretty middle of the road mass produced pub style food. Some of it was decent, some of it seemed like it had been in the warmer for a bit long.
Steak meal from buffet
Great Function Center. Great food. Great service and beautiful views! Very nice club, great service and food. But the conference room is desperately in need of refurbish!
Hi swan yacht club great location plenty of parking fantastic food and service. Christmas Day was very well organised and everyone enjoyed

Swan Yacht Club
Ratings and reviews, location and contact.
Having had three different meals at the Swan Yacht Club, I feel I'm in a position to comment on the venue as a dining experience. The most positive experience was a lunch off the a la carte menu. Being daylight, it is also possible to... enjoy the excellent views that the venue offers. About 15 months ago my wife and I attended with a group on a Thursday night. The dinner menu comprised 4 choices - none of which were particularly inspiring. The meal was served cafeteria style and my chicken dish was barely lukewarm. We were dining outside and left half-finished drinks on our table while getting our meals. They had been removed upon our return and, despite pointing this out to the bar staff, neither sympathy nor replacement was offered. The same group booked a return visit (were a couple of members trying to work off their bar commitment?) on Thursday evening of this week. A last minute email from the organiser revealed that the regular 4 offering menu was replaced by a slightly more expensive Mexican buffet. Once again the cafeteria system was in operation with staff dolloping serves of Mexican mince, rice and chicken on a plate. At least patrons had the opportunity to add their own nachos, cheese, dips and salad from the station at the end of the production line. Apart from the chicken (being, once again, lukewarm), the food was tasty enough and our unfinished drinks weren't taken away. It's a pity table service didn't extend to removing finished plates. After a reasonable lapse of time, one of our group cleared the tables and took the plates back. If looking for cheap, cafeteria like food that takes one back to the '60s then Thursday evenings might be ideal. Personally I prefer a la carte dining with table service and would recommend a visit for lunch. Finishing on a positive note, out group enjoyed a good social evening with this aspect taking precedence over the dining experience. More
Been there last Sunday , venue is great but a bit of hassle to get a drink when it is busy . Had nachos n sliders n the food was very average that was a shame n need to improve
My wife and I have been there twice now, a birthday party and a drinks dinner arrangement last night, birthday was just finger food, last night we ordered from the menu, its really average pub food, not great but also not bad, some nibbles first,... then mains, there was 6 of us, three had Ceasar salads with chicken, one had Barramundi, prawn, another had a Chicken Parmy and the last had grilled fish and salad. You come here for the atmosphere, not the food, drinks are above average for a club. More
My sister is a member and we regularly attend the Club with her. The food is excellent as are the prices. Members do get a special rate however non members are still very much looked after, A full range of drinks is available at the... bar. The only downfall is that you must attend with a Club member. The Club is a sailing club situated right on the Swan River near Fremantle. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. More
Swan Yacht Club is on the Swa River, it's good for family fun. The sea breese can blow quite strongly and whip up the waves on the Swan River. The yacht club is on the lower reaches of the river. The yacht club has a... relaxed atmosphere, the food is palatable. More
Have been a member for many years. They have dropped the ball ! And very disappointing, never used to be like this ! Having dinner with family including grandchildren. Meals served too far apart and my meal not even served at all .Asked them twice... about where is my meal? and they served when family was leaving.absolutely discussing. Pick up your game!!!! More
Do not order ribs ! $29 for 3 ribs accompanied by a plate of alfalfa salad and chips :(. $23 for Beer battered snapper , salad (no tomato) and chips. The fish portion was for a kids meal. Much better food offerings on the river.
The Swan Yacht Club is in East Fremantle, on the Swan River. East Fremantle is said to be the "upper crust" side of Fremantle, but the Swan Yacht Club is afffordable , for families who love having fun on the Swan River. I have been... there several times, the atmosphere is friendly and the food is palatable. More
The Swan Yacht Club is one the lower reaches of the Swan River. It draws many of its members from East Fremantle, which is an upmarket suburb of the port city. It's a family-oriented club which welcomes new members. West Australians will remember East Fremantle... as one of the most successful teams in the WAFL, which produced many champion footballers. More
We went for a friends 40th and ordered kids meals and the anti pasto platter. The platter consisted of a packed of ham and salami, bland cheese chunks, a dip some olives and white bread. Easily the worst anti pasto offering I’ve ever seen and... at $42 beyond a joke. More
Used to be a great place for quality food at member prices, food is now poor Pub Grub level. Shame as the venue is great. Staff service is also below par.
Visited for Sunday lunch and whilst the venue was busy, the service was up to it and waiting for the meal to be served was not a problem-We could have had more time to soak in the views, which I don't think I could ever... tire of. The bar service was very good as well and tried some beers I had not come across before. The meals were well priced, well presented and big enough to satisfy most people. It looked like children were well catered for. A word of warning: if you are sitting outside don't leave your food unattended as the seagulls will help themselves. I was impressed when I observed a young wait staff member replace a plate of food that had been attacked, I thought it was a nice gesture, as it was not the clubs fault that the food had been spoiled. Most certainly will be back . More
The Swan Yacht Club has long been a favourite of ours. It has recently been renovated and the atmosphere is great. We particularly like going here with a group of friends from work for a few drinks and a bite to eat on a sunny... Friday afternoon. More
Magnificent viewing down the Swan, great atmosphere with live music on Sunday afternoons. Recently had a bon voyage gathering that was very well catered for. Top work.
This club is in a terrific location besides the river though is a bit hidden away from the general public; I only know of its existence because a relative is a member. Have now visited the club a couple of times and found the place... very friendly, and the staff very helpful. Prices of food and drinks are discounted for members, though are still reasonable value if you are a guest. Not a vast array of options on the dinner menu, but there was something there for everyone, including vegetarians and gluten-intolerant. Can be pretty busy, as the wonderful riverside location makes it popular for weddings, parties etc More

The Comprehensive Guide to Moscow Nightlife
- Posted on April 14, 2018 July 26, 2018
- by Kings of Russia
- 8 minute read
Moscow’s nightlife scene is thriving, and arguably one of the best the world has to offer – top-notch Russian women, coupled with a never-ending list of venues, Moscow has a little bit of something for everyone’s taste. Moscow nightlife is not for the faint of heart – and if you’re coming, you better be ready to go Friday and Saturday night into the early morning.
This comprehensive guide to Moscow nightlife will run you through the nuts and bolts of all you need to know about Moscow’s nightclubs and give you a solid blueprint to operate with during your time in Moscow.
What you need to know before hitting Moscow nightclubs
Prices in moscow nightlife.
Before you head out and start gaming all the sexy Moscow girls , we have to talk money first. Bring plenty because in Moscow you can never bring a big enough bankroll. Remember, you’re the man so making a fuzz of not paying a drink here or there will not go down well.
Luckily most Moscow clubs don’t do cover fees. Some electro clubs will charge 15-20$, depending on their lineup. There’s the odd club with a minimum spend of 20-30$, which you’ll drop on drinks easily. By and large, you can scope out the venues for free, which is a big plus.
Bottle service is a great deal in Moscow. At top-tier clubs, it starts at 1,000$. That’ll go a long way with premium vodka at 250$, especially if you have three or four guys chipping in. Not to mention that it’s a massive status boost for getting girls, especially at high-end clubs.
Without bottle service, you should estimate a budget of 100-150$ per night. That is if you drink a lot and hit the top clubs with the hottest girls. Scale down for less alcohol and more basic places.
Dress code & Face control
Door policy in Moscow is called “face control” and it’s always the guy behind the two gorillas that gives the green light if you’re in or out.
In Moscow nightlife there’s only one rule when it comes to dress codes:
You can never be underdressed.
People dress A LOT sharper than, say, in the US and that goes for both sexes. For high-end clubs, you definitely want to roll with a sharp blazer and a pocket square, not to mention dress shoes in tip-top condition. Those are the minimum requirements to level the playing field vis a vis with other sharply dressed guys that have a lot more money than you do. Unless you plan to hit explicit electro or underground clubs, which have their own dress code, you are always on the money with that style.
Getting in a Moscow club isn’t as hard as it seems: dress sharp, speak English at the door and look like you’re in the mood to spend all that money that you supposedly have (even if you don’t). That will open almost any door in Moscow’s nightlife for you.
Types of Moscow Nightclubs
In Moscow there are four types of clubs with the accompanying female clientele:
High-end clubs:
These are often crossovers between restaurants and clubs with lots of tables and very little space to dance. Heavy accent on bottle service most of the time but you can work the room from the bar as well. The hottest and most expensive girls in Moscow go there. Bring deep pockets and lots of self-confidence and you have a shot at swooping them.
Regular Mid-level clubs:
They probably resemble more what you’re used to in a nightclub: big dancefloors, stages and more space to roam around. Bottle service will make you stand out more but you can also do well without. You can find all types of girls but most will be in the 6-8 range. Your targets should always be the girls drinking and ideally in pairs. It’s impossible not to swoop if your game is at least half-decent.
Basic clubs/dive bars:
Usually spots with very cheap booze and lax face control. If you’re dressed too sharp and speak no Russian, you might attract the wrong type of attention so be vigilant. If you know the local scene you can swoop 6s and 7s almost at will. Usually students and girls from the suburbs.
Electro/underground clubs:
Home of the hipsters and creatives. Parties there don’t mean meeting girls and getting drunk but doing pills and spacing out to the music. Lots of attractive hipster girls if that is your niche. That is its own scene with a different dress code as well.
What time to go out in Moscow
Moscow nightlife starts late. Don’t show up at bars and preparty spots before 11pm because you’ll feel fairly alone. Peak time is between 1am and 3am. That is also the time of Moscow nightlife’s biggest nuisance: concerts by artists you won’t know and who only distract your girls from drinking and being gamed. From 4am to 6am the regular clubs are emptying out but plenty of people, women included, still hit up one of the many afterparty clubs. Those last till well past 10am.
As far as days go: Fridays and Saturdays are peak days. Thursday is an OK day, all other days are fairly weak and you have to know the right venues.
The Ultimate Moscow Nightclub List
Short disclaimer: I didn’t add basic and electro clubs since you’re coming for the girls, not for the music. This list will give you more options than you’ll be able to handle on a weekend.
Preparty – start here at 11PM
Classic restaurant club with lots of tables and a smallish bar and dancefloor. Come here between 11pm and 12am when the concert is over and they start with the actual party. Even early in the night tons of sexy women here, who lean slightly older (25 and up).
The second floor of the Ugolek restaurant is an extra bar with dim lights and house music tunes. Very small and cozy with a slight hipster vibe but generally draws plenty of attractive women too. A bit slower vibe than Valenok.
Very cool, spread-out venue that has a modern library theme. Not always full with people but when it is, it’s brimming with top-tier women. Slow vibe here and better for grabbing contacts and moving on.
High-end: err on the side of being too early rather than too late because of face control.
Secret Room
Probably the top venue at the moment in Moscow . Very small but wildly popular club, which is crammed with tables but always packed. They do parties on Thursdays and Sundays as well. This club has a hip-hop/high-end theme, meaning most girls are gold diggers, IG models, and tattooed hip hop chicks. Very unfavorable logistics because there is almost no room no move inside the club but the party vibe makes it worth it. Strict face control.
Close to Secret Room and with a much more favorable and spacious three-part layout. This place attracts very hot women but also lots of ball busters and fakes that will leave you blue-balled. Come early because after 4am it starts getting empty fast. Electronic music.
A slightly kitsch restaurant club that plays Russian pop and is full of gold diggers, semi-pros, and men from the Caucasus republics. Thursday is the strongest night but that dynamic might be changing since Secret Room opened its doors. You can swoop here but it will be a struggle.
Mid-level: your sweet spot in terms of ease and attractiveness of girls for an average budget.
Started going downwards in 2018 due to lax face control and this might get even worse with the World Cup. In terms of layout one of the best Moscow nightclubs because it’s very big and bottle service gives you a good edge here. Still attracts lots of cute girls with loose morals but plenty of provincial girls (and guys) as well. Swooping is fairly easy here.
I haven’t been at this place in over a year, ever since it started becoming ground zero for drunken teenagers. Similar clientele to Icon but less chic, younger and drunker. Decent mainstream music that attracts plenty of tourists. Girls are easy here as well.
Sort of a Coyote Ugly (the real one in Moscow sucks) with party music and lots of drunken people licking each others’ faces. Very entertaining with the right amount of alcohol and very easy to pull in there. Don’t think about staying sober in here, you’ll hate it.
Artel Bessonitsa/Shakti Terrace
Electronic music club that is sort of a high-end place with an underground clientele and located between the teenager clubs Icon and Gipsy. Very good music but a bit all over the place with their vibe and their branding. You can swoop almost any type of girl here from high-heeled beauty to coked-up hipsters, provided they’re not too sober.
Afterparty: if by 5AM you haven’t pulled, it’s time to move here.
Best afterparty spot in terms of trying to get girls. Pretty much no one is sober in there and savage gorilla game goes a long way. Lots of very hot and slutty-looking girls but it can be hard to tell apart who is looking for dick and who is just on drugs but not interested. If by 9-10am you haven’t pulled, it is probably better to surrender.
The hipster alternative for afterparties, where even more drugs are in play. Plenty of attractive girls there but you have to know how to work this type of club. A nicer atmosphere and better music but if you’re desperate to pull, you’ll probably go to Miks.
Weekday jokers: if you’re on the hunt for some sexy Russian girls during the week, here are two tips to make your life easier.
Chesterfield
Ladies night on Wednesdays means this place gets pretty packed with smashed teenagers and 6s and 7s. Don’t pull out the three-piece suit in here because it’s a “simpler” crowd. Definitely your best shot on Wednesdays.
If you haven’t pulled at Chesterfield, you can throw a Hail Mary and hit up Garage’s Black Music Wednesdays. Fills up really late but there are some cute Black Music groupies in here. Very small club. Thursday through Saturday they do afterparties and you have an excellent shot and swooping girls that are probably high.
Shishas Sferum
This is pretty much your only shot on Mondays and Tuesdays because they offer free or almost free drinks for women. A fairly low-class club where you should watch your drinks. As always the case in Moscow, there will be cute girls here on any day of the week but it’s nowhere near as good as on the weekend.
In a nutshell, that is all you need to know about where to meet Moscow girls in nightlife. There are tons of options, and it all depends on what best fits your style, based on the type of girls that you’re looking for.
