The award winning 52m/170'7" motor yacht 'Florentia' was built by Rossinavi in Italy at their Viareggio shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house A++ and she was delivered to her owner in July 2020. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Studio Vafiadis.

Florentia has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 11 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Her features include a movie theatre, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and air conditioning.

Range & Performance

Florentia is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512E DITA) 2,549hp engines running at 1800rpm, she comfortably cruises at 13 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 17 knots with a range of up to 6,500 nautical miles from her 100,000 litre fuel tanks at 10 knots. Florentia features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 12,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register ✠ 100A1 SSC Yacht, Mono, G6 [✠] LMC classification society rules.

Rossinavi is the heavy metal master of the marine world and its latest superyacht shows why. The fully custom 170-foot masterpiece, known as Florentia , sports an impeccably made steel hull that is as striking as they come.

Florentia was commissioned by an exacting owner who tasked the yard with creating a timeless gem that pairs classic features with modern details. Rome-based architecture firm Studio Vafiadis spearheaded the exterior design, while Italian designer Carlo Colombo of A++ design studio took care of the interiors. As with all of Rossinavi’s high-quality vessels, Florentia was built entirely in-house at the yard in Viareggio and hit the sea on June 13.

“ Florentia is the most representative example of a fully bespoke superyacht made in Italy,” says Stefano Vafiadis of Studio Vafiadis.

Florentia  is characterized by sinuous lines and a sleek silhouette that together give her an effortless elegance. She features a full-displacement steel hull and aluminum superstructure, as well as 800GT of interior volume. Power-wise, twin 1,750 hp Cat 3512E motors propel the vessel to 15 knots at full tilt or 13.5 knots cruising. She can cover some 5,000 nautical miles when chugging along at 10 knots.

The interior, meanwhile, was inspired by the ocean’s waves and features a soft, neutral color palette and high-end materials that make it both peaceful and relaxing. The pièce de résistance is the central staircase that serves to connect all areas of the yacht in a harmonious manner. Standout features include an amphitheater-like upper deck which can double as a cinema thanks to a built-in projector, an expansive main saloon and dining space that’s divided by a bespoke cabinet, and a generous main deck where guests can take in the ocean views.

Florentia ’s generous layout can accommodate up to 12 guests and 11 crew members. The main-deck owner’s cabin features its own private balcony, not one but two walk-in wardrobes—somebody likes their clothes—an ensuite and incredible saddle-stitched leather bed. Not to be outdone, the VIP suite off the fly deck has a living room, ensuite, private balcony and access to the outdoor jacuzzi at the stern. The lower deck features two king bedrooms and two doubles for the remaining cabins guests, as well as the crew quarters which includes five twin rooms, a kitchen, living room and laundry.

There is just one glaring problem with Florentia, at least for potential buyers who might want the same yacht . S he’s a one-off. That’s good news, of course, for the Rossinavi aficionados who appreciate the yard’s diversity over the years. The yachts are unique, but equal for beauty and levels of build quality. They range from Aurora to  Endeavour II to Utopia IV  and more than a dozen others. Vector 50 and LEL are expected to launch later this year.

Rossinavi delivers 52m superyacht Florentia

Italian yard Rossinavi has announced the delivery of the 52 metre yacht  Florentia , which was launched from its Pisa based yard in June. 

Built from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the full displacement, custom yacht was sold in October 2017.

New images show the 810GT interior, which was designed by Carlo Colombo with the A++ Design studio. The “elegant and sinuous" exterior lines meanwhile have been penned by  Giorgio & Stefano Vafiadis .

Rossinavi chief operating officer Federico Rossi described Florentia as "a yacht characterised by romantic lines for a timeless elegance that features refined interiors and generous spaces."

He added: " Florentia is a vessel in which functionality and efficiency are a testament to style."

We’ve been challenged with the difficult brief to create a timeless gem where classic features and shapes meet modern details."

Accommodation is for up to 12 guests comprising a master cabin forward of the main deck with a private balcony and two walk-in wardrobes. The cabin also features a striking ring-shaped mirror artwork above the bed to reflect light in all directions.

Elsewhere, a VIP suite can be found on the fly deck, complete with a balcony at the bow and access to the outdoor jacuzzi at the stern. Two double guest bedrooms sit on the lower deck alongside the crew quarters, which comprises a kitchen, living room, laundry and five twin rooms for a crew of 11.

The main deck  superyacht staircase  is a key part of the interior design. Described as "the beating heart" of the boat, the staircase brings together warm colours, leather and light wood.

Carlo Colombo said  Florentia's  interior design is "inspired by the shapes of nature and ocean waves combined with technology and continuous research of design functionality."

He added: "The soft lines of the boat’s architecture style pervade the space complementing neutral colours and precious materials contributing to a unique and refined yacht for a peaceful and relaxing experience."

Powered by twin Cat 3512E 1,800 rpm engines,  Florentia  has a top speed of 15 knots and cruising speed of 13.5 knots. The yacht will have a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.

The sea has begun to write its journeys upon Florentia’s hull, employing both poetry and passion. Inspired by nature, designed with experience, and executed with precision, this 52-meter Rossinavi yacht has captured even the ocean’s ephemeral attention. Launched on June 13 of 2020, Florentia’s elements of style, with a gentle flow sculpted in steel, establish the yacht as a modern classic.

The Specifications

Launched from the Rossinavi yard in Pisa, Italy, Florentia is a full displacement, fully custom steel hull yacht carrying an aluminum superstructure. At 810 GT, her 52-meter length is balanced with a 10.35-meter beam, requiring a shallow draft of just 2.70 meters. 

The yacht was entirely constructed by the hand of Rossinavi, using their many in-house talents. Studio Vafiadis in Rome contributed the exterior lines. Arrabito Naval Architects attended to the mechanical, electrical, and safety engineering details. Interiors were crafted by the creative team at A++, with Carlo Colombo leading the way. 

Carrying as many as 12 guests in 6 cabins and accommodations for 11 crew members permit peerless service to every guest on board. Enjoying the spaces spanning four decks and remarkable interior ceiling heights reaching 2.35 meters. Stefano Vafiadis notes, “Florentia is the most representative example of a fully bespoke superyacht made in Italy. This is a boat entirely designed and built around the owner and his needs. We’ve been challenged with the difficult brief to create a timeless gem where classic features and shapes meet modern details.”

Two CAT 3512E, 1901 kW at 1800 rpm engines enable a maximum speed of 17 knots. At 13.5 knots, Florentia is capable of a globetrotting, 6500 nm range.

Studio Vafiadis

Studio Vafiadis & Associati is the award-winning workspace of Georges Vafiadis and his son, Stefano Inglese Vafiadis, dovetailing passions for the sea and for yacht design. Studying in Rome, Stefan graduated with a degree in Architecture, earning the ShowBoats Design award as “Young Designer of the Year” in 2013.

Carlo Colombo/A++

Milan, Italy-based design firm A++, founded and headed by Carlo Colombo, works in a variety of design spaces in ten countries around the globe. After graduating from Milan’s Polytechnic University, Colombo quickly rose to international prominence, designing for prestigious luxury brands like Bentley Home, Bugatti Home, Penta, Poliform, Giorgetti, and Artemide. Strengthened by working in markets around the world, the work coming out of A++ is not only head-turning and beautiful, but respects climate change and the human factor.  

At The Heart of Florentia’s 

Reaching out to upper and lower decks from the main, each step of Florentia’s staircase moves through a delightful play of light, shape, and texture. Silvered circular lamps artfully illuminate the spiral, accentuating the wooden handrail trimmed in chrome on the upper, while a polished silver sweep leads to the lower. Posh and dense, a pale pewter cloud of carpeting hushes stairwell activity.

Rossinavi launches 52m M/Y ‘Florentia’

The italian shipyard launches its second superyacht of 2020….

During a strictly private opening ceremony, in accordance with ongoing regulations, Italian shipyard Rossinavi has launched its latest motoryacht, the 52m Florentia .

Florentia is a custom project, with exterior design by Rome-based architecture firm Studio Vafiadis and interior design by Italian designer Carlo Colombo, together with his A++ design studio. The 52m motoryacht is 800gt with a steel full-displacement hull and aluminium superstructure. 

“[ Florentia ] is a yacht characterised by romantic lines for a timeless elegance that features refined interiors and generous spaces,” says Federico Rossi, Chief Operating Officer of Rossinavi. “ Florentia is a vessel in which functionality and efficiency are a testament to style.”

Similar to a shore-based home, the dimensions of the areas within Florentia are generous, with the aim of allowing guests to move around easily and comfortably. The yacht can welcome up to 12 guests and 11 crew members on board at the same time in navigation.

“ Florentia is the most representative example of a fully bespoke superyacht made in Italy,” comments Stefano Vafiadis of Studio Vafiadis. “This is a boat entirely designed and built around the owner and his needs. We’ve been challenged with the difficult brief to create a timeless gem where classic features and shapes meet modern details."

Florentia’s interior design is inspired by the shapes of nature and ocean waves, combined with technology and continuous research of design functionality. “The soft lines of the boat’s architecture style pervade the space complementing neutral colours and precious materials contributing to a unique and refined yacht for a peaceful and relaxing experience,” Colombo adds.

According to data provided by The Superyacht Agency , Rossinavi did not deliver any superyachts in 2019, and has an annual average output of 1.2 deliveries over the last five years. Should there be no severe delays as a result of COVID-19, this average is set to increase in the next couple of years, with three projects set to be delivered in 2020 and two in 2021.

Rossinavi has just announced the launch of the 52m motor yacht FLORENTIA , with the ceremony that took place in strict privacy at the facility of Pisa in Italy. She is a beautiful 800GT superyacht with a steel, full-displacement hull and aluminium superstructure. She was designed by Studio Vafiadis when it comes to her exteriors, with interiors and styling by Carlo Colombo in collaboration with his A++ studio, while her naval architecture is by Arrabito Naval Architects .

Rossinavi launches 52m M/Y Florentia

Italian shipyard Rossinavi has launched with a strictly private ceremony in their facility of Pisa its latest 52m masterpiece, Florentia . The new build is an elegant 800GT motor yacht with a steel full-displacement hull and aluminium superstructure. It is a custom project with exterior design by Rome-based architecture firm Studio Vafiadis whilst Italian designer Carlo Colombo together with his A++ design studio looked after the design and styling of the interior areas.

“A yacht characterised by romantic lines for a timeless elegance that features refined interiors and generous spaces. Florentia is a vessel in which functionality and efficiency are a testament to style” says Federico Rossi, Chief Operating Officer of Rossinavi.

The boat’s external lines are elegant and sinuous; durable materials and functional design merge into the silhouette of the yacht to create comfortable and sheltered places for the owners and their guests. “Florentia is the most representative example of a fully bespoke superyacht made in Italy. This is a boat entirely designed and built around the owner and his needs. We’ve been challenged with the difficult brief to create a timeless gem where classic features and shapes meet modern details,” says Stefano Vafiadis of Studio Vafiadis.

“Florentia’s interior design is inspired by the shapes of nature and ocean waves combined with technology and continuous research of design functionality. The soft lines of the boat’s architecture style pervade the space complementing neutral colours and precious materials contributing to a unique and refined yacht for a peaceful and relaxing experience,” says Carlo Colombo.

Similar to a proper home, the dimensions of the areas within Florentia are generous and thought for the guests to move around easily and comfortably. The yacht can welcome up to 12 guests and 11 crew members on board at the same time in navigation.

The staircase originating from the main deck is the beating heart of the boat. It serves to naturally distribute the areas of the yacht and is complimented by a blend of warm colours, leathers and light wood. The lobby in the main deck is characterised by a sculptural spiral-shaped railing that connects this area to the bridge above. The design of the staircase and of the lobby is representative of the entire project and harmoniously introduces those pleasant shapes and valuable materials that make Florentia special in so many different ways.

From the main deck, it is possible to access the salon and dining room, while the owner’s cabin is at bow. The main salon and the dining room are both majestic spaces, formally divided only by a structural bespoke cabinet. The main living area is at stern and features structural sofas that extend to the center of the boat, while the dining table is at bow.

The owner’s cabin has a private balcony as well as two walk-in wardrobes. The curvy shape of the master bed headboard, which is saddle-stitched and upholstered in leather, complements the sinuous details of the floor and ceiling that make ways to the owner’s bathroom. In the center of the room, just above the bed, is a ring-shaped mirror artwork reflecting the light coming from the sea in all directions at full beam.

The upper deck is a rather large entertainment area. This multi-functional space could turn into a cinema thanks to the projector that appears from the ceiling. The amphitheatre-like upper deck area features a double-sided sofa upholstered in natural fabric and facing the bar area. From here, it is possible to reach the space designated to crew members as well as the cockpit where soft shapes, technical equipment and luxury materials are prestigious and functional.

From the lobby of the fly deck, it is possible to enter the VIP suite. This unique cabin boasts a private balcony at bow and access to the outdoor jacuzzi at stern. It is a proper separate reality within Florentia featuring a living room, a master bedroom and a private bathroom.

Two symmetrical king bedrooms as well as two double bedrooms are in the lower deck, which is also the area of the crew members together with a kitchen, living room, a laundry and five twin rooms.

In Florentia, the multi-scenic approach leads to the creation of a symbiotic language, which characterises this special yacht design line.

The Viareggio-based shipyard Rossinavi has recently delivered its 52-meter masterpiece Florentia, previously launched during a private ceremony in June.

It is a custom project with exterior design by Rome-based architecture firm Studio Vafiadis whilst Italian architect Carlo Colombo together with his Design Studio A++ looked after the design and styling of the interior areas.

Rossinavi Florentia: that’s how a masterpiece is done
