We want at 9 pm, and it was quiet and very private. In fact, I went on the tiki tour last Saturday for a friend’s birthday. I’ll start off by saying yes I brought children. I wasn’t expecting a romantic time but I thought it would at least be fun. Literally you go up and down and stare at people’s boats docked in their backyard and turn around and do it again in a different direction. I love Coronado and just did a staycation at the Del two months ago. However, I would never subject my friends to this. Zero history or information about the area and the gondolier even cut our tour short seven minutes. Not complaining because we were done five minutes into it but just odd he wasn’t more aware of the time. To sum it up, this seemed like a good idea but totally fell flat. I wouldn’t recommend it. Looking at the homes and boats in the Cayes was spectacular. Very romantic (we went to celebrate our anniversary) with wine, chocolates and Italian music. I apologize I can’t remember the name of our gondolier. But he was a nice young man who was both professional and personable. This was a great time with Patriciano, he had a great personality, and we aske him to sing a couple songs and he did. 2 or 3 in Italian ( like the music playing) but acapella and 1 in english. He was awesome and a great Gondola guide. We loved it!! Remember to tips these Guides especially when they go out of their way to accomodate a request for personalized experience. The front check in desk was also very friendly, accommodating, and easy to check in. I recommend everyone do this 1 time at least, beautiful going through the channels of homes, lights we pretty as we did the late night experience. Pam's bday was a great hit all because of the staff. Nothing difficult about booking a ride and the gondolier (Giovanni) was knowledgeable about the bay. It’s a great way to spend an hour or so. Coronado Cays Yacht Club is a hidden gem for anybody looking for a wedding venue! My husband and I were continuously impressed with the venue, the staff, and the excellent services that we received all through the planning process. Pricing was extremely affordable and beat out every other venue we considered by a long shot!
This small yacht club serves the residents of the Coronado Cays development, where each house has its own slip. For a ritzy-seeming area, the club underwhelms. The interior is a bit run down and is showing it's age a bit. Service in the bar area is middling. They have two (usually pretty good craft) beers on tap plus (weak-sauce domestic) bottles.
