Tobago 35 is a 35 ′ 0 ″ / 10.7 m catamaran sailboat designed by Joubert-Nivelt and Flahault Design & Associates and built by Fountaine Pajot between 1993 and 1996.

The theoretical maximum speed that a displacement hull can move efficiently through the water is determined by it's waterline length and displacement. It may be unable to reach this speed if the boat is underpowered or heavily loaded, though it may exceed this speed given enough power. Read more.

Sail Area / Displacement Ratio

A measure of the power of the sails relative to the weight of the boat. The higher the number, the higher the performance, but the harder the boat will be to handle. This ratio is a "non-dimensional" value that facilitates comparisons between boats of different types and sizes. Read more.

SA/D = SA ÷ (D ÷ 64) 2/3

• SA : Sail area in square feet, derived by adding the mainsail area to 100% of the foretriangle area (the lateral area above the deck between the mast and the forestay).
• D : Displacement in pounds.

Ballast / Displacement Ratio

A measure of the stability of a boat's hull that suggests how well a monohull will stand up to its sails. The ballast displacement ratio indicates how much of the weight of a boat is placed for maximum stability against capsizing and is an indicator of stiffness and resistance to capsize.

Ballast / Displacement * 100

Displacement / Length Ratio

A measure of the weight of the boat relative to it's length at the waterline. The higher a boat’s D/L ratio, the more easily it will carry a load and the more comfortable its motion will be. The lower a boat's ratio is, the less power it takes to drive the boat to its nominal hull speed or beyond. Read more.

D/L = (D ÷ 2240) ÷ (0.01 x LWL)³

• D: Displacement of the boat in pounds.
• LWL: Waterline length in feet

Comfort Ratio

This ratio assess how quickly and abruptly a boat’s hull reacts to waves in a significant seaway, these being the elements of a boat’s motion most likely to cause seasickness. Read more.

Comfort ratio = D ÷ (.65 x (.7 LWL + .3 LOA) x Beam 1.33 )

• Beam: Width of boat at the widest point in feet

Tobago 35 – Boat Review

The Tobago 35 is the smallest in the range of six sailing catamarans from French yacht builder Fountaine Pajot. The company has been making inroads in the Australian sailing scene in recent months, with particular success in the charter industry. The Tobago 35 is most popular with cruising couples, and has its galley, navigation table and dining table all located in the spacious saloon. The area is partly enclosed to form a ‘cap’, providing protection from the elements but still offering undisturbed panoramic views while you’re cooking up a feast or navigating the next leg of your journey. Her comfortable cockpit is very roomy, she can accommodate eight, and she has a huge stainless steel framed canvas cover that provides shade protection from the summer sun and rain, with 1,000 watts of solar panels soaking up the rays above. The captain's bench puts all of the electronics at your fingertips, including a GPS plotter, depth finder, and autopilot. The captain's bench seat is reversible to face the transom. She comes with two cockpit tables, one for a small group or the larger for serving your crew. The rear transom has two platforms; the port side has a swim platform and a swim ladder, which make for an easy entry and exit to and from the water. There is a lift for a dinghy and a kicker motor which is also included. The galley is open and roomy as well. The table can seat six comfortably. The wrap-around windows make the interior light and bright and will offer great views of the sunrise at your dream destination locations. The galley features a large electric oven big enough for a pizza, a single induction cooktop, an under-counter microwave, a refrigerator/freezer, and a stainless steel sink with a pull-out faucet and a flat-screen TV. Welcome aboard our very seaworthy and luxurious catamaran: . The ideal sailing yacht for people who want to sail comfortably and sportively and enjoy a stable location. The ship is fully equipped, has 2 spacious guest cabins, a pleasant cabin and a spacious shower and toilet room. The large cockpit has a bimini (awning) and you can easily get in and out of the water via the swimming platforms. Naturally, an outdoor shower is not lacking. Ready to make unforgettable trips across the North Sea or Zeeland waters. Together we tailor the sailing plan to the weather and wishes of the guests. Enjoyment is paramount! Catamaran sailing is booming in the Netherlands. Not surprising when you consider that it is actually very pleasant to be able to sail upright. Your stuff just stays where you left it. A big advantage is the enormous view from the cabin. When you are inside, you can just look outside and keep an eye on the horizon. We have not yet had any guests who got seasick on our catamaran :-) underwent an extensive refit in 2019: - New sails - New equipment (B&G) - Coppercoat (underwater) - New cushions - New paneling - New stove - New outboard engine (10hp for the dinghy) - New solar panels - New battery (LiFePo4) With this she is ready for new adventures.

I came with my mother and my 2 kids (3,5 and 5.5 years old). Paula and marcel were just 👍: they answer to each of our specific request, plan an adapted trip ( beach, visit, ice cream, swimming ). They are super host and I plan to comeback for sure. Boat ( as a catamaran ) is very stable —> stable and confortable for a family. Sincerely appréciable and many 🙏

Ik zeil inmiddels zo'n 30 jaar, waarvan 10 jaar wedstrijden op zee. in 2010-2011 zeilden we met ons gezin rond de Atlantische Oceaan. Sinds 2017 bezitten we onze catamaran, die inmiddels een grondige refit heeft ondergaan. Bij ons staat een geweldige ervaring voorop! Of dit nu genieten achter het anker in de zon is, trimmend in weinig wind of dat we een nieuw snelheidsrecord zetten.

Highland 35, the all-purpose power catamaran by Fountaine Pajot

The most you’ll get from a Highland? A range of 1,000 miles at 6 knots.

Maximum living space, stability and low fuel consumption are the keywords to describe the Highland 35. These are the important advantages which definitively launched the power catamaran industry. And today, this powercat could be a great deal!

Successor to the Greenland 34, with which Fountaine Pajot launched themselves into the 10 meter power catamaran market in the early 2000s, the Highland 35 became the entry-level boat in a full range, which included the Summerland 40, the Cumberland 44 and the Queensland 55. If the biggest models are catamarans with imposing dimensions, the kid-brother with his 10.35 meter overall length and especially a beam of 4.40m is the go-anywhere, super-versatile boat par excellence. The buyers were not mistaken: with 68 units built between 2005 and 2011, it has brought happiness to many former sailing enthusiasts but also and especially to boaters eager for autonomy and comfort, as well as charter bases looking for something economic to operate and especially easy to maneuver short-handed while having record habitable space. A catamaran that offers the ability, (thanks to a beam of only 4.40 m), to return to port in the evening! From the beginning, it was available in two versions: DUO (two double cabins and two heads compartments) or TRIO (two double cabins in the starboard hull and a large one for the owner to port).

Produit à moins de 100 exemplaires pendant les années 1990, le Tobago 35 n’a pas connu la diffusion plus large des modèles de la décennie suivante. Ce qui n’empêche pas ce catamaran compact d’être une excellente opportunité pour les budgets serrés.

Fin des années 1980 : les catamarans de croisière commencent tout juste à se faire une place au soleil… Fountaine Pajot est l’un des premiers constructeurs à miser sur deux coques plutôt qu’une – le succès de son Venezia 42 lui donne raison. Jean-François Fountaine décide de créer une gamme complète autour de son modèle phare : Marquises 56 pour le charter de luxe, et Tobago 35 en guise de petit frère. Les signes distinctifs retenus sont la casquette avant de rouf, bien utile pour protéger la nacelle des rayons solaires les plus verticaux, et les étraves camuses. Le 35 conserve le même design, tout en courbes.

Du potentiel, mais pas au près !

Léger et bien toilé, le Tobago 35 est incontestablement une unité rapide : il atteint vite les 10 nœuds, sans forcer pourvu que la brise soit au rendez-vous. Les polaires, avec 20 nœuds de vent, promettent en effet 9 nœuds du bon plein au travers, et largement plus de 10 si une voile de portant est de sortie. Une grand-voile à corne, un gennaker et des hélices repliables feront même de ce modèle un engin très performant et excitant à mener. S/V Permanently Temporary is a 2002 410 Lagoon OWNER’S VERSION catamaran, for sale by owner. She comes with 3 staterooms and 2 heads. PORT HULL – V-Berth, Spectra Watermarker (under v-berth), storage, hanging locker. Electrical Control Panel, access to wiring and storage. Head with Jabseco manual head, sink and separate shower. Queen Stateroom with a hanging locker is aft. STARBOARD HULL – Full shower, sink, storage, large hanging locker, poo-poo tank, Raitian electric head, storage and space for washer. The Lagoon 410 is a 40’7” (12.37m) cruising catamaran designed by VPLP Design (France). She was built between 1997 and 2006 by Lagoon (France) with 283 hulls completed.

The Lagoon 410 S2 Catamaran is an updated version of the Lagoon 410. After launching more than one hundred Lagoon 410’s since its first introduction in 1997, Lagoon introduced the Lagoon 410-S2. Modifications to the Lagoon 410 were made in many areas: ergonomic, comfort, maneuverability and more standard equipment.
